Lovely place to while away time. The staff are really friendly. Coffee is exactly as expected from Costa. Only issue is the WiFi would only let me see Google and the mobile coverage is poor.

Requested soy milk. Given Dairy. Anaphylactic reaction! Staff need to take more care. Needed EpiPen and ambulance. Don’t risk it!

General staff are fab . The Manager on the other hand ..... not the best where customer service is concerned .

This costa is clueless. Ended up at espresso lounge instead. I guess franchises do not prioritise service which is why it is better supporting the small local businesses.

There is no humour in this review, sadly. I was treated with despicable hostility and impatience for no explicable reason at my local Tring Costa by one woman. I was feeling fragile anyway, a bit fumbly, because her imptience was clear. The place was calm, almost empty.. no need for the rush. I brought up her manner gently, but it got worse where she ranted at me, incomprehensible, until I put my hand up and said,'Stop...stop talking at me'.. I would have just liked my coffee and food to go and did not want to listen to her anymore. Even then, I had to ask her twice to stop ranting at me. I have been using my local Costa for 24 years, and now I don't want to use it anymore. People have bad days, and I am really forgiving of this, but..... I am also SICK to death of their poo brown colour scheme... it is not very Spanish, and it seems like it could do with a coat of paint inside. If you need a designer Costa- look me up. We have a little Italian further down where buying from them is an experience . I know Costa is a franchise, but it is popular, so they need to look after it better. An update is- it seemed like a bad one off, so I am using it again.

Avoid this location. They use to allow anyone to use their toilets, even without having to buy anything. Now the toilets are exclusively customer only, even though I have used their toilets many times in the past before and not once was I required to buy anything first, until now. Needless to say, I won't be coming here again.

Lovely costa with delightful staff. It's quite big on split levels, which aids a charming atmosphere. It has windows all around so good natural light and views. Free parking 100m or so either way up the high street. It is clean. Only one toilet, which is clean. I never eat as costa, I'm just a frappe addict. At Tring the frappe is as yum as anywhere. I recommend and will come back.

I like Costa but it was very dirty. Every table had dirty cups, plates and spillage.

Step-free access available via the back door off the main high street. Nice little seating area out the back, too. Drinks were great, the staff were lovely and the service was very quick.

Costa with regular Costa offerings. Food is ok although overpriced. The toilets are locked and you need to ask for access. They are not the cleanest and the overall cafe needs a makeover.

Popped into Costa coffee at 1615 on 12 March to get a drink and snack...so far so good. No tables available as the staff had closed of part of the restaurant and we told we could not sit at a table but had to sit on the tall stools, even though there was still 1 hour and 15 min left. Also the toilets were absolutely filthy.

A decent Costa Coffee in the heart of Tring. The selection of drinks and food is what you expect from a Costa. The particular thing about this cafe is its location, right in the middle of high street. You couldn't ask for a better location. Though this cafe has stiff competition from others also on high street, so there is no shortage of places to choose from if you're out shopping.

Used to be my regular but the service today is so bad, made my order (I was the only customer) but somehow they have forgotten to make it and taken a break, now loads of people in the queue which are being served.

Usual Costa coffee experience in the heart of Tring. Good place to meet up for coffee and snacks or takeaway coffee.

Plenty of empty chairs and tables to sit ar lively friendly staff. Not keen on the coffee tho.

Store is average, stsff don't talk much some need more training as had to return drinks multiple times due to syrups being added to them without being asked for example vanilla in my mocha twice

Always deservedly busy but means there's a little bit of a wait at times. Worth it, happy servers always.

Super friendly staff who give great service, coffee is always good. I tend to have a takeaway coffee and occasionally a piece of cake. Nice to have a coffee shop with longer opening hours especially at the weekend if you have been walking at Tring Park

9 times out of 10 the staff and speed of service are great. But. Sometimes certain long term staff members lack people skills and this effects the speed of service

Very poor service today. Tables not being cleared or wiped. Customers moving previous clients plates to clear tables. Needs some management direction Coffee nice though.

Disappointed with this Costa. It needs someone in to re think how the lay out should be. There's only a small counter area and they didn't stock any M&S food. The seating area is minimal and not being used to it's full potential. There's only one toilet for all to use and it was a disgusting mess. I love going to Costa, but this one really needs some TLC.😥

Popped in on route to the zoo. Disabled loo was in need of a deep clean. Staff were nice, seamed shocked i wanted to use my own cup (double beans) Drinks made well and were delicious ! I was happy they were open so we could have a SEND morning in the natural history museum. Beautiful area to explore.

If I could leave a zero I would, never been in such a filthy dirty place, deep ground in dirt along skirting boards, floor in ground with dirt, toilet handle broken and not working, but staff still allowing you to use it. Tables filthy and all wooden surfaces covered in fifth. Will be contacting health and safety executive as needs closing down. Also had the misfortune to see into store room by toilet, absolutely filthy. Could not finish my coffee felt sick.

Costa coffee on the main high street of Tring is conveniently located in the town centre near to ample parking in 3 main car parks and other areas with 1 hour free parking. Plenty of time for a drink, snack and shopping. The café is reasonably large and has some outside seating. Alternatively there are plenty of other places in the local area for a take-out such as the park or by the natural history museum. The café has all the usual selections and service is reasonably fast. There is a small area at the back of the shop to sit outside.

The bathroom could do with a clean and drinks were average considering the price they charge.

The service was great, my drink was made very quickly, but the tables outside were frankly disgusting, there was a full ashtray on the table, which had not been cleaned. A staff member was also crouched down near my table smoking for about 10 minutes. Overall, not one of the best Costa's I have been to.

Still my favourite in Tring. Good service, good size drink and good selection of sweet and savoury eats. Have tried the smaller trendy coffee outlets and enjoyed, but I still think value for money and quality it's hard to beat Costa.

This is a lovely Costa. The staff at the Tring branch are helpful, very, very quick and also let me use there toilet facilities. The iced Tea and chocolate Tiffin was very tasty. The toilet facilities are clean and there was toilet paper and soap. The only thing is the hand dryer wasn't working.

They have coffee if you are in need for coffee

Exactly what you would expect from Costa ( they are all identical, lol). Only 1 sofa, so the fight is on! Good coffee, nice inside, has a toilet.

Great service and free Internet with a download stream of around 6mps so not bad, also used a power outlet for the laptop, was there for an hour*it was reasonably busy but service didnt seem to decline, I was asked if I had a costa points card which I didnt but must have lost it! Even my pet monkey was aloud, warm and cosy!

Little cups of steaming wakeup bean juice, what's not to love.

Two stars simply because the coffee here was actually very nice. Loses points however because the inside is very dark and tired - it needs a lick of paint and a freshen up. The one unisex toilet needed a clean. Also, most worryingly, my wife asked for no chocolate on her decaf coffee (she's allergic to caffeine) only to find the server poised with chocolate sprinkler in hand, about to cover her coffee with caffeine. We managed to stop her in time, but it made us think … if they didn't listen to our request for no chocolate, did they actually serve a decaffeinated coffee? Fortunately the coffee was OK, we double checked, but this is exactly how serious allergy situations happen.

To be honest not my preferred coffee shop but it was raining and most of the coffee places in Tring seem to shut at 4pm on a Saturday. Staff were friendly and polite. It just feels a little tired and I must admit I’m not very impressed when tables haven’t been cleared, the floor is messy and tables have not been wiped down. Hopefully feedback will help to smarten the coffee shop up as it has a prime position in the high street and could do much better

Came in to order 4 coffees on behalf of me and my colleagues at around 3:30pm. I was the only person in the queue when I arrived, with about 4/5 people sat at the tables already with their drinks. I ordered 4 coffees (which isn’t even that many) yet the girl behind the counter who was making the coffee said ‘if it’s busy you can’t do this you know’ and had a rude/pissed off tone to her voice. 1. It’s a coffee shop; making coffee is literally your job. 2. Even if it was busy, this isn’t the kind of comment you make to a customer! A coffee shop being busy isn’t an excuse to not want to make 4 coffees. 3. If I had come to the shop with my colleagues with me and we ordered separately it wouldn’t have made a difference, so why does it matter that I order 4 at once?

It was a Tuesday afternoon after School, me and my mum were going for our weekly coffee and catch-up. When we arrived the staff began to shout abuse at me, making me feel embarrassed to say the least. Once I had ordered my Hot Chocolate and 2 Muffins, i realised that the muffins were old and tasteless and the chocolate wasn't to my liking. I went up and complained but then the workers began to shout abuse at me again. I then got my mum to complain but again we were shouted at and one child even through some crust at me. Completely outraged. I will be reaching out to the board about this - hopefully this travesty will close down!!

Costa is Costa so you should know what you're getting but this one has been going down in standards for well over a year! Grumpy staff, order is invariably wrong, slow service. Better places to get a coffee in Tring!

The Costa franchise is fairly standard so you should know what to expect. Sadly this branch is below the average. Coffee is good (what you’d expect) with the usual Costa cake & snack selection but often the display is nearly empty with the excuse ‘we haven’t had time to unpack the delivery’. They struggle at times serving quick enough with a long queue forming back to the door! The upholstery is stained & the whole place could do with a good clean. The music is often too loud to enjoy your coffee, background it’s not! The Management need to have a good look at how the staff are coping as the problems are not directly their fault. I now go elsewhere for my coffee.

My first ever visit to any coffee chain establishment. It wasnt overwhelming, the staff were friendly and considerate looking to enhance the visit. "Marshmallows in the hot chocolate?" "Chocolate sprinkles in the cappuccino?" "Would you like some cake?" All questions pleasantly asked. As for the drinks, well the hot chocolate could have been hotter and the cappuccino was perfect. Wasn't ever afraid to try Costa not afraid to go back.

Great place to go but let down by the coffee not being hot enough they only heat there coffee to 140d I believe coffee should be inbetween 150 and 185 pity they could not rectify this even there extra hot is only 150 come on Costa turn up the temperature

Trays were very dirty. Toilet was clean but tiles and inside door dirty. Sanitary ware was disgusting. Would not recommend visiting. If those were not nice, what must the kitchen be like UCK.

I love my coffee from Costa but l have to say this was in terms of cleanliness this the worst l have visited. The toilet was filthy and l would have gone somewhere else if l had known. There is a sign on the door that states that the toilet is checked regularly. They may well be checked but definitely not cleaned. I actually used a bacterial hand wipe to open the door to leave. Come on Costa not good enough.😟

I tend not to use Costa as I don't like gueueing and waiting for a drink, bring back table service!!

I can only echo other customer reviews previously posted. Toilets, tables and floor dirty. Grumpy staff. Even the yellow cleaning sign and mop they were using were dirty. Grim.

I seldom vary my coffee and usually order Small, Americano, without milk. It is of a good standard. There is a wide variety for those who enjoy the more exotic types. The cakes are quite good and here too us a wide choice. The toasted snacks and others are brought in premade and heated while you wait. There are occasions on which the queues are quite long at the counter. The one and only toilet is overworked and there is usually a queue to use it. The door requires replacing. I am a regular customer, so it has its good points.

Nothing much to say really apart from how shockingly dirty this Costa is. There are stains all over the walls and chairs, and the loo with its broken door matches the general feel of the place. The stains have clearly been there for some time which is slightly worrying.

It's pleasant enough to do when the locally run coffee shops are closed. Right behind Costa is the Cog Cafe, much better coffee and tasty, freshly prepared food. With its factory made food, Costa can not compete with places that make and serve real food. Costa is reasonably clean but it always has a aura of waiting for the staff to come along and tidy up.

It's Costa ... You know what your getting so can't go wrong
