Very clean cafe pleasant staff filling food and drink!

First of many visits we hope. Coffee and food as you would expect it!

Ordered 3 breakfasts. Was told mushrooms were unavailable but we would receive more of the other items instead. Waited ages - maybe 25 minutes - between ordering and receiving our food. Didn't seem like anything had replaced the missing mushrooms. Maple syrup had been poured over the potatoes as a glaze. But this was after they were cooked, not before. The food was OK. Nothing more. The 3 breakfasts arrived at different times. No-one enquired if everything was OK, or seemed to care at all. As well as being very slow, the service was entirely impersonal. I would have had more interaction at McDonald's or Greggs. Overall- very disappointing. Overpriced, mediocre food. We won't be returning and can't recommend this place at all.

Always come here! So many good food options. Great options for vegans and gluten allergies. Almost all of their meals can be made gluten free. The vegan BLT and Moroccan avocado toast is amazing!

I ordered a flat white that was one of the best I've ever had. The yogurt parfait with rhubarb compote and granola was delicious - such a unique blend of flavors that worked well together.

Loved the ethos of this place. Some interesting choices on the menu and the meal was delicious. Friendly and quick service.

We usually go to cafe 33 but due to long queue we decided to have our brunch here. Coffee was cold , tasted like filter coffee. I had to ask for top up of hot water. The signature brunch comes with sausage, mushrooms, beans, poached eggs, bacon and potatoes. Eggs were the smallest you could find, sausage was of cheap quality which gave us heartburn since we had it, beans were not so great and mushrooms were tasting odd. Bread was left on the plate without being toasted. The photos of food on Instagram is different .The only good thing on the plate was potatoes which I paid £14 per plate, very expensive spud . Waiting staff were nice but failed to check later about food so I couldn't give any feedback.

Lukewarm coffee with little flavour. Not worth the hype

An excellent latte with a kick to it. No need for an extra shot. Served by a personable young man. Would have had breakfast but the kitchen doesn’t kick off till 9 o’clock. A hipsterish joint but nonetheless pleasant. I will return.

First time here, loved the decor, coffee was lovely and the cakes were delicious. Reason for 3 stars is watching a waitress pop outside for a cigarette, coming back in without washing her hands and serving food to customers. Basic hygiene needs to be learnt!

We visited this café for a light breakfast. We had green tea and coffee with croissants. It cost £10.40. There is some outside seating, but only on those bench table combinations which we never find very comfortable.

Too much is expected. Up to 30-40 minutes. The food is good but not who knows what.

Pleasant enough cafe but a bit of a wait for food which by the time it arrived coffee was look warm. Why do they serve coffee in those wide brimmed cups that allow it to go cold quickly.

Wright’s caught our eye when scanning the local area for a quick alfresco brunch & coffee before leaving Norwich… and we were so impressed. Service was friendly and fast. The poached eggs on toast and veggie breakkie were insanely tasty and not small in portion. Coffee was class too.

If you like stale cake and luke warm coffee then this is the place for you. I'll not be back. Popped in as were a bit peckish, kitchen closed early so nothing to eat.

Went in early sat morning . A couple sat drinking coffee . Went upto counter to order , 2 staff members chatting , we waited 3 to 4 minutes then walked out . Went to 2 magpies Instead. Awful service .

Popped in here early Saturday evening for what we hoped would be a pleasant drink and perhaps some food as part of our weekend trip to Norwich. It has a calm, earthy vibe with good decor. I’d love to tell you what the drinks and food are like but alas, the person serving behind the bar never got around to bringing us a menu, let alone serving us anything. This was despite two attempts to remind them. They seemed so very pleasant, but massively preoccupied with all the mundane things. You know, like rearranging the spoons, or cloths, or kitchen equipment behind the bar. But not actually attending to customers it seems. We left bewildered and wondering how the other six customers in the place actually received their drinks. Perhaps they brought them from home? Or just popped behind the bar and helped themselves the whimsical bar person was distracted by a napkin? We will never know…

I walked into this place that has inviting looks from outside. It was quiet, only two groups of people. The place was practically empty. All we needed was some drinks and despite asking the woman behind the bar that we’d like to order some drinks, after waiting what felt like way too long for just some drinks ordering, we had to walk out. And it suddenly made sense why the place was empty!!

Went in yesterday for the first time for a business meeting and a quick nibble. Wow! So glad we stumbled across this place. Food was absolutely perfect. I had the fry up. And was really tasty due to a few different ingredients to the norm. Like BBQ beans. And the sausages being different. 100% recommend this place. Nice vibe in there as well. And service was quick and polite too. Great job guys.

The place was quite delightful. The food was fresh and delicious. The menu offered a wide variety of choices. The portion sizes could have been a bit more generous.

My first visit to Norwich in quite some time and I wanted a late lunch and this cafe looked really nice. Decor good, space between tables and I liked the look of the menu. I chose iced tea for a very warm day and it was delicious. However, my so called posh toastie of plum chutney, brie, mozzarella and rocket was a different story. I was hungry and in a hurry so didn't complain at the time but on reflection I should have done. The two halves of the toastie were stuck together in a congealed lump with the soggy rocket sticking out the sides. I needed a knife and fork to eat it and couldn't distinguish the flavours, certainly not the plum chutney. If I had not paid up front I would definitely have said something when paying the bill. It was so full of promise, the staff were friendly but sadly this food experience has put me off returning.

A good test of a business is when things go wrong- We had to be evacuated when an alarm went off. We were directed swiftly and the staff were there talking to us and I gratefully accepted the offer of a free coffee. The food itself is great- I've had the poached egg on toast and the pancakes there (seperate occasions I should stress!) and I like the chilled-out feel of the place, good if you want a change from the usual options!

Best poached eggs in Norwich. Staff are lovely. And vegan option for my girlfriend who loved the breakfast with a cake to leave.

Fantastic cafe offering awesome food and even better coffee. I had a Bloody Mary short rib toastie, which was delicious and a coffee I have never seen before which was a turmeric and black pepper latte. It was phenomenal! My partner had a cheese and onion toastie which she thought was lovely and my other friend had the brunch special which was the best dish of them all. Would highly recommend

Perfectly good drinks! I had a fruit tea and it was enough for two to have a couple of cups.

Most items on the menu were not available, including the special on the board at the entrance to attract customers in. We ended up with a very limited choice of toasted sandwiches and had a long wait for them. Also, the iced tea was weak and watery. On the plus side the staff were pleasant and apologetic.

We popped in for brunch as we’d seen the place the previous day. Staff were very friendly and helpful and my pancakes were absolutely superb! Unfortunately, my husband’s BLT was pretty greasy and he couldn’t eat it all. Otherwise this would’ve been a 5/5!

It was only one visit, but a really great toasted Reuben, a seriously sized pot of tea one, a good looking brunch menu, coupled with friendly staff and a gentle groovy vibe, make this a top tip for lunch, brunch, just coffee or something a little stronger in Norwich.

Can't rate the food as we didn't get any. We visited on Monday at around 16:45 grabbed a table and sat looking at the menu for 10 minutes as we had a three year old with us who was being a bit fussy. When we eventually chose what we'd all like we went to order and got told we couldn't as they were closing at 17:00. Now maybe that's on us we'd seen them open late other evenings didn't realise it differed but at any point staff could have said btw we are only doing drinks or whatever, but no, to involved in their own conversations to bother. Won't visit again in a hurry.

On the face seems expensive for a panini but the quality was amazing and made the price worth it! Would recommend the Bloody Mary Panini.

1st visit here came on a weekday mid morning. I ordered the hot chocolate at £3 and the Wrights Breakfast at £14 Paid a bit more then other places but wanted to try the food here. The bacon was very crispy, the mergeuz sausages were very tasty. The eggs were also delicious and loved the bbq beans which had some kidney beans in them. The maple glazed potatoes were very tasty very different to anything I have tried before must be the maple glaze. I ordered no mushroom. The sourdough was nice a little bit hard with bone marrow butter. Tasted ok. Overall the Breakfast was very tasty, especially the sausages bbq beans and eggs. My order arrived very promptly by a friendly staff member in about 10min. He asked if I needed any sauce I said brown sauce which came in a dinky pot! I gave 4 stars as the service behind till wasn't overly friendly or happy to see me and it would have been nice if a staff member had asked how my food was and if I needed anything else afterwards. I would probably come back and definitely try some of the yummy cakes on display and a hot drink. I would definitely order the breakfast again as a real treat. It was hot and very tasty. Great location in city. Nice selection of drinks. Will come back soon.

My Bloody Mary Beef Toastie and chips were delish! I was a little sceptical as it just seemed like an expensive tostie shop, but I can't complain, I was very satisfied and full! The Beef was melt in your mouth!!! My friend had a Brie toastie and a brownie topped with cornflakes, she raved about her food too!

They had a selection of salads that looked delicious and a section of cakes. I had a scone which wasn't that fresh and therefore it would of been better served warm. It was very noisy.

Came here with my Granny for morning cuppa. I got a hot chocolate and it was the nicest thing! The interior is fab and colours is soo nice! Love it! :)

Best toasties I have ever eaten

I've been coming here quite a bit since they opened 😊 The place itself is nice and open with their many windows - nice to sit alone and read, but also great for meeting with friends. I enjoyed their tea variety and the fact that you get a proper pot for a decent price. They also have nice cakes, with usually 1-2 vegan options. I've had both their toasted sandwiches and their topped nachos and can say they're both tasty and filling. There's usually quite a big rush around lunch time and it can be hard to get a place, but it's alright outside of that. I also love that they are open late from Friday - Sunday. Finding a place to get a tea in the evening and have a nice chat are hard, so I appreciate the option.

Get my coffee here every morning before work during term time. It's never been bad. Everyone that works there is lovely, too! I've never tried any food as I'm a ceoliac and haven't seen any clear GF options. So I can't rate the food, just the coffee :)

We visited the Bury branch a few weeks ago and we were very impressed by both the food and service. However, we can't say the same about Norwich. The food was good but not outstanding and when we arrived trying to find a table was totally chaotic with no help or guidance from the staff. But my main complaint was the state of the toilets. Both of the taps in the cubicle I used were broken and they were leaking water on to the floor. Call me old fashioned but I do judge a restaurant by the state of the toilets and if they can't keep the toilets clean then what are the kitchens like?!! In these days when eating out is expensive I expect the whole package - great food, good service and clean facilities.

Called in for brunch . Nice apart from King Oyster Mushroom. Which you could have used to sole a 👞 We did pass on thoughts onto the server .who did offer an alternative 🤔. My thoughts if uou offer the unusual. Then you must learn to cook them correctly. Very popular place. I wish them well DON Kings Lynn

Came here twice on our visit to Norwich. First for tea - delicious array of cakes. Came back for breakfast today - my rhubarb granola (home-made granola) was yummy and very attractively presented. My husband had great poached eggs - all very reasonably priced and very convenient location between the Cathedral and the market.

Took around 15 mins to get 2 takeaway cups of tea... Not enough staff to serve a busy Saturday morning crowd.

After ordering out coffees and waiting twenty minutes I went up to ask how long they would be and was told I will do them now!!! They weren't busy so cannot understand why I needed to return to the counter for them to then make them. Not even an apology. However the coffees were good albeit a little overpriced.

The best poached eggs with avocado & bacon that I think I’ve ever had, and partner’s Reuben sandwich was also delicious. Wish we lived closer so we could come again - please open in Nottingham soon.

Very busy and was advised 20 minute wait on a Saturday although there were people leaving. The server was keener to serve the young girl behind me rather than us oldies! Food was disappointing. Rock hard sourdough toast like crisp bread. Avocado very soapy and not that fresh. Poached eggs and coffee were great. Would I return…. Possibly not unless it was for pre prepared cake or sausage rolls on a mid week. It wasn’t worth the wait or hype and not a patch on olives or cafe 33 sadly.

Just had a pot of tea. Lovely to have a nice cup and pot of tea.The cafe was clean and tidy. Tables were cleared quickly. The staff were friendly.

No chef this morning but let us sit there with menus for a good while before telling us. Perhaps it would be best to speak to customers as they come in. Disappointing as the Bury cafe is great.

Great cafe with many options of drink and food caters for for just about everyone

Went there and got a sandwich which was amazing. It was the spicy beef one. Amazing taste and not too expensive at 8.50. Would definitely recommend

A little in love with this place: the staff, the decor, the hot drinks, the vibe, the tarot posters in the toilet. It's a little bit bohemian but not remotely try-hard. Not all the dishes are hits but most of the menu is very good indeed and they're all presented with lovely little details that warm you up inside and feel like today will be a good day.

The Reuben toastie was da bomb 💣 Decent prices too. Always pretty busy because it's good! Get one of the seats by the window and watch the world go by.

I ordered lunch from wrights for a large corporate film crew a couple of weeks back (15+ people). All the food was perfect, on time and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

Loud music, solely for the benefit of the staff, all customers having to raise their voices to be heard; was asked to tip when ordering, caused consternation when I didn’t as I wanted to taste food and service; neither merited it.

Probably in my top 10 cafes but just thought it was over prices compared to some. Food was alright but probably come back to try something different. Had a hot chocolate and is in my top 5.

We had a lovely brunch here! The atmosphere is very lovely especially when it's decorated for Christmas! Can get quite busy but it's really lovely if you catch it when it's quiet! I think the drinks are very overpriced and the food is a little for what it is but it all looks and tastes lovely! The menu is a little confusing though.

I can’t quite figure out why so many people who work here seem so fed up with customers. It’s a real drag to deal with. Had one great meal, one terrible one and one ok. But I think I have to stop coming here just because I can’t take the attitude.

Lovely cake selection, had A nice pot of tea which I think I nicer than A cup.

Very nice, moist chocolate and orange cake. A good selection of cakes to choose from and a very large slice.

Really nice toasted sandwich and plenty of choice for snacks and sweet treats. It had a really good ambience and the staff were very nice.

Finally a cafe that makes a proper flat white! Lovely cakes, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, my friend and I have decided this is our new go to place for our Friday afternoon catch ups!

Our first visit to this cafe. It was very busy and appears to appeal to a younger clientele. The cappuccino was very good. We did not eat so can't comment.

Went there in a Friday afternoon for lunch - a lovely wee space, beautifully decorated. We had a lovely mixed salad each (a mixture of the three salads on offer), 2 lovely coffee's for £15! Absolutely spot on.

Didn't really enjoy cold scrambled tofu , prefer it hot. Hubbys toastie however was nice. Don't think i would return

We called into this café for a light breakfast. We both had tea and toast which cost £7.70. It has a pleasant and spacious interior, and the service is friendly.

A lovely place for a hot or cold day, staff were very attentive and the food is delicious.

Friendly and happy to serve, even close to closing time. Had a couple of quick bevvies before breaking onwards. If you know Wright’s in Bury st Edmund’s you won’t be disappointed.
