one night stay and the food was lovely, nice quiet location, room was in the adjacent small block, which i presume is all single rooms. i think the TV's need replacing, i couldnt find a channel despite fiddling with the remote for 30 minutes, a basic smart tv in the room would have made the stay much better. i just ended up watching tv on my laptop.

I stayed at The Woughton House hotel for 2 nights and overall the hotel was comfortable and peaceful. The staff particularly were always friendly and helpful. On arrival, I was allocated a room in the building next to the main hotel, which would have been absolutely fine had it not been unbearably hot when I walked in, with only one small velux window. I’m normally someone that prefers a warm room but this was way to hot to be comfortable. I spoke to reception who informed me they weren’t sure how to open the velux and couldn’t turn the heating down but instead they upgraded me to a double room instead which had a big window, which was a lot better temperature wise. The room was lovely but just one issue- the shower, it takes approx 10 mins to get warm! (as I was informed by reception). So if you’re in a rush, pease factor this in! And the bigger issue is the amount of water that’s being wasted whilst waiting for the water to heat; not great. Otherwise, the stay was good, plenty of parking and nice view from my room. I did have dinner at the hotel (soup) which was good but didn’t try the breakfast.

Family of 3, visited in early January. Nice hotel set in quiet surroundings. Our Room, 401, had two bathrooms. One was with a bath, with heated floor, the other had a shower, cold like a freezer. The shower was broken. When I reported it, no attempt was made to repair it or offer us other room. A bit of mold present in shower and bath rooms. When arrived, the extended sofa bed had a badly washed sheet on it. Also, the set of towels was missing. The complementary biscuits are out of date and the room was not properly cleaned during our stay. The chair, when we arrived had bread crumbs on, during our stay the bread crumbs were always left on the chair. On our departure, we check everywhere whether we have not forgotten something and discovered chips packets under the bed which were left there from the previous visitors. Staff was friendly, and the main building was nicely wallpapered. Relax music at background. They only cook dinners during week days. So, on Friday we had a meal, the menu was very basic, e. G., a pasta, gammon, fish and chips. The next day we went to the local pub, about 50 meters from the hotel, and this was a treat. For the same money you get what you paid for. The pub was lovely. The breakfast, @ £15 per person if booked in advance, was fine, tasted well. Warm and cold options. The lady, doing breakfast, was very professional. Maybe slightly more time with guests rather than in the kitchen would be even better, but I do not blame her as there were only like 3 lots of guests present. Would I go there again? Well, if the cleaning and supper menu improved, is it worth £130 a night/room? Then £15/person breakfast? Make your decision. For me this was a 3, not 4, star hotel experience, with nice staff, nice common spaces, but rather poor cleaning and caretaker services.

After a long day at Bletchley Park, we retired to this lovely hotel for a good night's sleep and some rest . Check-in was easy and all done with a smile by the really friendly staff. Our room was spotlessly clean with high-quality bed linen and towels. We slept well and were ready for our breakfast. Breakfast was hot , fresh, and plentiful with a great choice for everybody. Checking out was just as easy and then off to Bletchley Park for another day code breaking ! A big thank you to all the staff at Woughton House who were so friendly and accommodating it really does make a difference. I would definitely recommend Woughton House if you're visiting Bletchley Park as it's about 5 minutes away. Thanks again.

I stayed hear for one night mid week while exhibiting at a trade show at Milton Keynes Stadium and the location/proximity to the venue could not have been better. It is set in nice grounds and as you drive in does look impressive, unfortunately when inside the bedroom although at first glance looks good but when you settle in you realise that all of the walls are badly marked/scuffed, the furniture is rather dated and the bathrooms has been patched up...sink taps that turn the wrong way and wobble as you use them (not secured) and shower gel dispenser in the bath was empty, this you only find out when its too late. I asked to book a table for dinner but the restaurant was closed, with food available at the hotel bar, when ordering drinks you have to pay each time and they were asking £21 for a burger so my colleague and I walked out of the hotel to the pub opposite and had very good meal at a reasonable price. Finally I had booked the room with breakfast which would have been £17 otherwise and apart for being asked for my room number when I walked in nothing else was said, not its self service and here is what's available for you and showing me to a table. The hot food was kept warm but was tasteless....not worth anything near their price. This hotel should and could easily be better than it appears when you arrive.

Beautiful hotel in village setting and well placed for visiting Bletchley Park which was the reason for our two night stay. Staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday evenings, but a very good meal was had at the Olde Swan Inn just a couple of minutes walk away. The buffet breakfast was very good. A few aspects regarding the room could have been better, but overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Very comfotable room. Nice place. Breakfast food was good, but service was not. We had to wait 15 minutes before a member of staff checked us in. Then it took 10 minutes to get hot water for tea/coffee. And it was not even busy.

First visit to MK and I was here to visit the OU. Uber from coach station was cheap. The staff of this hotel are friendly and welcoming and I was impressed by them all. They just seemed like nice people, rather than that forced hospitality you can get. My room was lovely. It could be said to be a tad dated (eg there are no usb charging sockets) and there were a few minor bits of maintenance required (very slow draining sink and a loose tile) but I don’t see that as worth deducting a star because my stay was comfortable, relaxing and excellent value for money. I used the bar and sat outside. It was very peaceful, which was perfect for me. I didn’t eat the hotel meals because, frankly, I was on a tight budget (porridge pots for the win!) so I can’t comment on them. I’d be very happy to return and I hope I do!

Beautiful hotel, friendly and professional staff. However, the restaurant is not yet serving good at weekends. The breakfast was very disorganised. The buffet was empty and was refilled with only very small amounts of food, which ran out immediately. What we did have was good.

:-) Room was clean, bathroom large (bath and separate shower cubicle). Breakfast - Some reviews say food was cold, but not the case for us. :-( RESTAURANT NOT OPEN - This was very disappointing. It was our anniversary and having found the hotel on Booking, com I looked at the menu on the hotel website to ensure a romantic meal was possible before booking. Although the hotel messaged me several times to confirm our expected check in time, at no point did they mention the restaurant was closed, we spent the day in London and if we'd known we could have eaten before arriving. On check in we were told it was closed due to a wedding (which seemed to have all completed) and at check out we were told it was due to lack of staff. Room was described as Deluxe Double, but apart from the large bathroom seemed to be a regular hotel room and as it was on the ground floor the view was a brick wall.

Good stay at the Woughton Hotel a real Oasis in the middle of Milton Keynes. Very friendly staff and the manager was impeccable. Drinks prices at the bar very reasonable. Rooms a little dated but very comfortable. Breakfast room tidy and service was good although the food was a tad on the cool side and water was not hot enough for tea. Overall a good stay and I would recommend.

We had an overnight stay at Woughton. House Hotel, we upgraded to a king size room, which was obviously newly decorated, new curtains etc which was lovely, the staff were very friendly and the manager went out of his way to make us comfortable, the room was very hot and the aircon didn’t work so he bought us a fan and iced water, the bed was very comfortable, lovely dining room, very clean, it was a buffet breakfast, with lots to choose from although it was not very warm, overall it was a good experience and would stay there again.

Needed somewhere to stay at very short notice with a good car park. Lovely surprise was ample car parking and very quiet and peaceful off the beaten track but just 10 mins from M1 - had a deluxe room which was very comfortable and nicely decorated - not a fan of showers over baths but thats personal choice - lovely staff nice gardens to sit outside and enjoy the views and watch the wildlife. Didnt realise there wasnt any food at weekends in the evenings but not to worry there is a pub short stroll away where they served decent food. Breakfast would have been lovely had it not been luke warm maybe there was an issue with the warmers? I agree with another reviewer that a teapot of tea or coffee would have been preferred as it is a faff getting the hot water from a flask and the cups were quite small so felt like to many trips to the flask! The breakfast issues can easily be addressed by the team am sure. All in all would definitely stay again and it was excellent value for money.

Very good hotel, it has been refurbished but still retains its character. I stayed for 5 nights on business, but can also recommend it for couples. The setting is exceptional and locally there is some great countryside for walking, as well as a local country style pub. On saying that, the bar and outside drinking area at the hotel is very relaxed if you don't want to venture out. Manager (Jamie) has a great team working with him. All staff were accommodating and always happy. I'll be looking forward to visiting again soon. Thanks to everyone

Stayed overnight as visiting OU, The location was superb. I'm sorry a) it was raining and b) didn't have time to havd a good look around. Arrived at 7.30pm so had a bar meal. Chicken gougons and skinny fries. Was very good but was a large portion so only had half. Room was clean and comfortable. Next morning found that shower was running cold. Had to have a bath also wanted to wash hair so had to use the sink. Not good at my time of life, I'm 77. Breakfast good. Good variety both cooked and continental. I had bacon and scrambled egg made to order. Tea was disgusting. Made with hot water from from a flask. This needs to be replaced by giving guest the option of ordering a pot tea made with freshly boiled water. On checkout I mentioned the problem with the shower so this could be rectified for next guest. Was promptly given refund for breakfast and told in future I should ask for a room with a walk in shower. Would I stay again. Yes, with the above provisos; walk in shower and a "pot" of tea at breakfast

We had a very nice 2 night stay for an extended family get together for a visit to Bletchley Park. The food was lovely and the staff catered for our special dietary needs very well, breakfast was excellent and we recommend the afternoon tea!) Our room was double aspect with views of the front and side which gave us excellent views over the gardens. Jamie helped us with all our requirements and exceeded our expectations being very approachable and friendly.

Sorry, I have never given a 1* in all my reviews. We ordered steak, now I know steak can be temperamental but this was awful. A medium rare steak came back well done, dry and tasteless. I sent mine back and what returned wasn't any better. My wife ate hers because she don't like to complain. The table next to us did exactly the same and sent both their steaks back. Really spoiled our supposedly romantic valentines evening. In my opinion I would avoid a restaurant that can't cook steak at all cost. Cannot recommend!
