Amazing tune at the quiz and bingi . Staff always helps and waitress service during the quiz is always amazing. Food is always outstanding great variation of choice too.

Great little traditional pub. Right next to the Grand Union Canal. Fantastic sitting outside in the summer.

Not far way from the Milton Keynes centre you can find this classic pub. It's everything you can expect from a independent and traditional British pub. A bar with the draft beers and fridges with wines, a small kitchen, people playing domino or darts, the Tele for watching the rugby or football matches, the benches outside close to the canal. And for locals, it's a familiar spot in the neighborhood. For foreigners, it's a must to do!

Friendly staff but as it was only just lunchtime it was almost empty. Lovely canal/lock side beer garden.

Brilliant pub and perfectly situated next to the canal. For service and good beer it's head and shoulders over the others in Fenny.

Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon here yesterday, taking part in the virtual horse racing run by Gary Mac and family! Great fun, the sandwiches and chips provided by the pub foc for all were very tasty and much appreciated! Lovely, welcoming pub in a beautiful hidden spot.

I visited this pub whilst enjoying a canal boating holiday. The staff were pleasant, the food was great, very accommodating the only blemish was the lack of a disabled-accessible toilet.

Had a breakfast 😋 and it was amazing

A great pub. Landlord and staff couldn't have been more helpful. A very enjoyable meal and a good atmosphere. It is in a perfect setting by the canal lock and a swing Bridge. Well located for MK Dons ground although not on the beaten track so not a main stop for football fans. Sadly we won't be back next season following relegation but definitely back after promotion.

We had dinner for two and the steak was amazing. Cooked to perfection, well worth every penny. Can't wait to eat there again.

One of my favourite pubs (and I've only been there once!) The landlord is a conniseur of his trade (really friendly and engaging, truly cares) The locals are fantastic (again, friendly and engaging, a wonderful and welcoming bunch) The location, right on the lake, with narrow boats passing and an outdoor area, couldn't be better. Went for an awayday (Newport County) and away fans are made to feel very welcome. This pub represents why Google Maps needs a 6th star

This is my local pub in UK, it has changed hands with an upgrade, Back meeting friends and having many lovely afternoon's with new landlord Terry and side kick Steve looking after us real well. Great ale

Lovley little pub right next to the canal and Fenny Lock with beer garden and patio the pub itself has 2 rooms the left room is a little lounge area and to the right is the main bar with jukebox and dart board with live tv sports the landlords who served me were friendly and happy toilets were clean i visited today after a canal walk and ain't been here before stopped for a pint of diet coke and cheese and onion crisps and played darts the service was fantastic

Nice canal side pub, recently under new management and they are doing a super job of getting it back to former glory. Good food menu, the pies are sensational and the chips were lovely(clearly fried in fresh hot oil) Nice range of beers and Timothy Taylor as regular ale which is rare to see these days and it's kept beautifully.

Didn’t eat so can’t judge the food. Great buzz for the music quiz.

Recently reopened under new management and the place is unrecognisable (in a non-physical sense. The building is as it has been for ages). New staff are friendly and welcoming. The landlord makes a real effort to get to know his regulars and is making a good effort with the real ale too which is great to see. Food menu looks good (not eaten there yet though). Dog friendly. My new local after avoiding it for a few years. Definitely worth a punt if you are looking for a decent, honest pub.

Went to try the new menu today and was not dissapointed. Hard to decided what to have as everything read so delicious. Ended up going with I'll start at the top and work my way down on future visits so I had the steak & Kidney pie with chips, veg & gravy. What arrived 25 mins later was a freshly cooked pie that was extremely tasty. Fantastic filling and pastry made for a quality pie with homemade gravy. Can't wait to try the next one down on the menu.

Wonderful FOOD! We had their pies for lunch today and they were DELICIOUS. Fresh crispy pastry with very tasty filling and homemade gravy! We had the chicken gammon and leek pie and the steak and kidney pie. Definitely come for the pies!!! Fantastic atmosphere- Terry is very warm and welcoming, it’s a perfect location with super staff and I would highly recommend!

*Under new management* This is a cracking little pub right on the cut. Lovely beer garden overlooking Fenny Locks & swing bridge. They keep a Timothy Taylor's that is worth the visit alone.

Brilliant place to eat, staff went out of their way to make our time very stress free and enjoyable. Food was 10/10 and very fairly priced. To finish it off, the atmosphere and music was spectacular

Welcomed after a trip down from wirral for the football at mk. Gemma was a great laugh and looked after us with food and drinks ,recommend ,great spot on the canal lock

We stopped off here on Friday evening around 7pm as we were staying locally. We were told the kitchen was just about to close but the lady said she would stay on to make us some food. The food was tasty and it was nice to sit outside and watch the canal boats and the lock open. The girl serving behind the bar was lovely. She was really friendly and polite.

Was in there for a quick drink whilst I was fishing and honestly, the person behind the bar was so polite and it was a treat talking to her. Would definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10

PARKING SCAM!! went as customer. Despite talking with staff noone told me about the parking. Landlady said she'd help me appeal parking but then ghosted my emails. For that very reason my appeal was turned down. £100!!! Fine which no doubt the pub take their share. Just awful behaviour for local pub during a cost of living crisis. S*** of the earth

Beware of this pub. Got a parking fine. Not properly signed and no one tells you to enter your registration. On further investigation the landlady gets a cut of the parking fine. Avoid this pub at all costs.

Fantastic revamped pub right on the canal, a beautiful spot, it serves ales & the usual suspects in keg & bottles....food looked amazing & it also has a car park, you must enter your reg at the bar to avoid a fine.

They don't have clients and they put the parking penalty to make money. I was there for a drink and I get a penalty . The lady should ask people when they come,but they don't bother because is a scam.

Not from the area, just had a dog walk around a mile away and wanted to find a nice pub for a drink before going back home…found this one looked lovely! Parked my car in the car park and had a drink. A month later I have received a letter with a £100 parking fine enclosed from this pub! Absolutely disgusting. How can they expect to attract new customers when they find them for parking in their car park!

Quaint pub on the canal side by the locks. Run by two effervescent ladies who go out of their way to make you welcome. Good menu choice. Well worth seeking out.

A nice spot for a canal or indeed lake walk. We just had coffees as the wood burning fire was lit. Star deducted for the ANPR parking, however the locals made sure we knew how to register, very neighbourly of them. Honest to goodness old school pub, unspoiled by "upmarketism" if that is a word. I will go back for a beer test......it is just a 20 min cycle ride along the towpath.

They sell Madri which is good enough for me, a cute pub by the river and live football!

Had a delicious meal chicken & mushroom pie,creamy mash & peas last night . Well after nice meal 2nights ago - what a let down today. Advertised Roast dinner served until 5pm. 2.45 told finished serving. Weatherspoons didn't let us down. Can see now why other reviews are very up & down. Rating now gone from 4 to 3 !!!!

Nice setting, very clean inside however the outside tables were dirty and covered in birds poo. We ate outside as we had a dog . Food was not very good

I love this pub We usually walk and this is a destination to include in ur walk Met with warm friendly welcome and the location is spot on We got to see boats go thru the lock and its lovely to sit outside We don't visit often but it's nice when we do

Not really been in apart from a quick pint and a game of darts but it'd always busy and never heard a complaint about it

Probably best to avoid. Arrived at 7.30 on a Saturday. Asked if still serving food. Told kitchen just closed so had a drink only to watch others served food. So asked again (at 8.00) if serving good and told yet again the kitchen had just closed. Think locals must know about the poor service as the place was virtually empty on a sunny Saturday evening.

Good place for a garden pub, very nice actually, but be aware of the parking and make sure you register your car at the premise, otherwise you'll get a PCN. Other than that, very lovely setting!

Pub has a fantastic location, WiFi access was bluntly refused, sasuages were claimed to be 'not frozen'! You decide! No peas but without asking they plonked some 'creamy leeks' on there instead! For £12 it was very disappointing. I will avoid in future in favour of the 'Bull & Butcher just 5 mins away. Far better, friendlier pub with what looked like VGVFM food!

Absolute rip off. Went for steak night, £35 for 2 rib- eye steaks & bottle of wine. Would have been ok if what was served was rib-eye but at best was sirloin but was probably rump. The chef doesn't know how to cook steak, 3 of us asked for medium rare & one medium well done, all came well done. Thee chips also came over salted. Will
