Old George Hotel in Milton Keynes

Loverly old pub/hotel,the staff were very friendly and very happy to chat with us. We both had a loverly meal there. Will certainly pop in there again,when down that way

Nice clean room, nice comfy bed. Kettle, tea coffee, in the room, tv hair dryer. Nice place would use again.

Rooms are comfortable back of a pub, location is okay for me being on the high street and bus stops nearby. I was made to feel very uncomfortable by one person from housekeeping, built short dark haired. Rude to me and i believe it was personal. After a 2 day stay I wished to pay for 1 more day as had not slept well so wanted to relax. I was happy to do this through booking.com card in my hand, after she banged on the window and door I opened she said out.. said I am online now as there are rooms and will pay now rudely replies 'no there are no rooms, systems not been updated on booking com.. even though plenty availability is shown online? I said i will pay now to avoid a late checkout and save you cleaning the room. Double rooms available online.. no someone has booked this room (with hesitation so knew she was lying) and she asked me to leave. Funny after going online 5hrs later that day then again the next morning availability was exact as i saw when told to leave, oh yea they must of forgot to update it after a whole day??!?!!) Treating me unfair like im a criminal just because of how i look. Put a sign up save me money IL go elsewhere. I have always been polite when staying here but what does that matter to some but to treated bad?.. I am an Asian lady. Staff are arrogant as...

Fantastic open mic night every Sunday with friendly punters

Busy pub with live music and a late licence. Not conducive to a good night's sleep. Kept awake until after 1 in the morning and then woken at 6am by cleaners. Strongly recommend that you do not stay here.

For the old pub with the guest rooms above I was pleasantly surprised. The room i shared with my son was modern and airy. The parking was nit a problem, even though it was in the street. The parking there is restricted to the day but free overnight. And actually if you leave the strict centre, there are normal parking spaces available along the streets not far from the hotel. There was no breakfast available and for supper, there are restaurants in close proximity. The entrance through the main pub was a bit intimidating but the girl behind the counter was smart and quickly transfered us to the room. The price was adequate to the services.

Great little room off the back of the hotel. Nothing fancy, but very reasonably priced. The sister hotel across the street did a mega tasty full English breakfast deal for £10 which was a bonus!

Just had Sunday lunch. It was only ok. Meat was fatty. Place was empty. Staff very nice.

Disco bingo on a Friday night, a great time was had by all, gets really busy so get a table early.

Old world charm, I've not stayed the night yet but will one day. The staff are very pleasant and will share a joke or 2. The Saturday night entertainment is the best semi pro venue I've seen in a long time and occasions entertained celebrities over it's years in service to the public. There's a further bar at the rear if you prefer the music down to a dull roar and a yard for those who like a cigarette with their pint. I for one hate motorways and stop off on my way home through Buckinghamshire to Northampton. Remember, High Street, Stony Stratford.

My partner and myself stayed here on Saturday 27th July. We were given room 12 in the courtyard, lovely clean room with nice little ensuite. The room had a lovely comfortable double bed with fresh white bedding, we were supplied with towels and toiletries along with a kettle and tea & coffee etc. The shower was the most powerful we've ever used in any of our hotel stays. The pub was very lively whilst here and had live music which was good but they'd finished by 11 allowing a restful night. We didn't sample the menu here but saw what other guests were receiving and it all looked plentiful and nicely presented and smelt lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly and clearly work well as part of a team which makes a huge difference to any business. If you are looking for a lovely clean place in a fantastic location please don't hesitate to book this place I'd be very shocked if you were disappointed.

Great place amazing atmosphere you can't go wrong at the George. Lovely live music on the weekends great food especially the roast Dinner on a Sunday.

Went for a drink, stayed for the music

Have eaten a few times recently and am pretty pleased with the quality of the food. Decent veggie choices. The only minor niggle is the fillings on the jacket potato. The amount of beans and cheese etc. is really stingy! For an ingredient that's quite cheap, they're just losing customer satisfaction which I would have thought was more valuable.

Love this pub never stayed so cannot give stars. Staff are friendly gets very busy specially friday nights when music bingo is on which is great.

Friendly staff, high street pub with cosy front bar and more seat in rear room toilets on 1st floor, don't know connect with carry on films but signed memorabilia in front bar along with some vintage local history. Definitely pop in again as I love old fashioned hospitality feels welcoming. Thanks
