Amazing restaurant; great customer service, the staff were very kind and friendly and the food was really good

Our waiter Ben took excellent care of us, a table of 3 with a vegan, regularly checking on our table whilst performing quick and friendly service. The atmosphere was lovely, and despite being so busy, our food arrived very fast- a very efficient workforce. Lovely food, very welcoming staff. We definitely recommend!

Service was quite slow other people that arrived after us got the same food we ordered before us. Food was good and prices was reasonable. Our server was friendly and cheerful.

Alright, let’s talk about Wagamama in the Xscape Centre, Milton Keynes. Now, you might think, "Oh great, another restaurant next to a shopping mall. How exciting." But this place? Stunning. Seriously, despite its location near retail chaos, the atmosphere inside is so calm and inviting you almost forget you’re a stone’s throw away from a climbing wall and an arcade. The food is exactly what you'd expect from Wagamama—tasty and fresh, like it was made with actual care. Whether you're going for the classic chicken katsu curry, a ramen that warms you from the inside out, or something fiery like their chilli squid, it’s all fantastic. It comes out quickly, piping hot, and full of flavor. Service? Spot on. The staff are genuinely lovely—helpful, attentive, and not the kind of people who check on you every five seconds like you’re incapable of eating by yourself. They know when to show up and when to leave you to enjoy your meal in peace. And the QR code payment system? Brilliant. Scan, pay, done. It’s almost like magic, and it makes the whole experience feel even smoother and quicker. Toilets? Clean. That’s it. No complaints, no dodgy smells—just clean, modern facilities, which is rare enough to mention. Now, here’s the thing: this is the second Wagamama I’ve visited in Milton Keynes, and honestly, it has potential to be the best one. I’ll definitely be back to double-check—purely for research, of course. So yeah, if you’re anywhere near Xscape and need some food that won’t let you down, Wagamama is the place.

Nice friendly waiters, food arrived in good time and was really nice. Only second time in Wagamama and really enjoyed the food and the vibe. Not the cheapest but nice for a treat. The decor is nice and contemporary. The toilets were clean enough. Perfect before the cinema which is upstairs in the xscape building.

Wow what an incredible service today by Tony. Tony was witty, friendly, accommodating and was just a true pleasure and breath of fresh air! We would come back just to have a laugh with him, the service itself was even better than the food itself - can’t say that about many places. Tony you are an absolutely asset to Wagamama’s and I truly hope you receive some recondition for making our experience today what it was. My family and I went to your restaurant and we had amazing food and service. It was for my grandson Edens 12th birthday. Rhys was very attentive and a really nice person. He made our visit extra special.

Attended with my family and it was my daughter’s birthday. The manager went above and beyond to give her a special meal and the team organised a birthday cake. If I could give 6 stars I would. Keep at it you guys are smashing the customer service.

Great place to eat in MK! The service was amazing, especially our waitress Nicoleta, she gave us food recommendations and made our visit special. Food was very tasty, I have tried the new curry with butternut squash and definitely recommend it! We will definitely come back.

Delicious food and excellent staff, even after my Tourettes ticks kicked off - all staff took it in their stride. Welcoming environment. Only downside was that our food was delivered at different times making it awkward for people to start eating.

My sons birthday wish to go wagas and the staff were just so kind to him. Polite, helpful, chatty and just overall nice people! Got other people involved singing him happy birthday, he had the biggest smile on his face! We love the food from wagas so never disappoints! Sophie was welcoming and lovely!

Our server (Reese) was lovely and provided great alternatives to some meals due to texture difficulties (because of autism). Two members of our group were also coeliac and they had a really good experience. Highly recommend.

Stopped into Wagamama’s today with my sister for a quick lunch. We were blessed to be served by Tony who is an asset to the company. He is very personable and knowledgable while being absolutely hilarious, we couldnt stop laughing. The service itself was better than the food which was also very good.

People allowed to skip the queue and take booths from families when there was only one person. Seaters had no manners, no cop and generally poor behaviour. Food was bad, chicken was chewy, yuck!! Work Wagamama in MK, go to the stadium one!

We love Wagamama's for an easy family friendly dining experience. We came on a Sunday evening, got a great table and the service was exemplary. The friendliest atmosphere ever! Our 5 year old daughter was made to feel like a VIP. It was very special, everyone who was working was warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this branch.

I recently dined at Wagamama in Milton Keynes, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. • Our server or serverro , Alex, seemed uncertain about their gender identity, but it did lead to some confusion during our meal. • It lack of attention to detail was disappointing. • I specifically requested a non-spicy dish, but what arrived was anything but mild. The spiciness caught me off guard, and it wasn’t a pleasant surprise. • Additionally, when I asked for two different buns, I was told they couldn’t mix them. But it person had lgbt lanyard so should be easy for mixing. • Experience was marred by the food and service issues.

All Wagamamas I've been in have very good Japanese food. This includes this one. On top of that they show calories next to each meal, which is such an underrated thing. Love it! The staff in this particular establishment was very professional. I've enjoyed my time and would not hesitate to visit again.

Food: Nothing to say here. You definitely get what you pay for. Nothing to complain about. Service: Came here a few times, the attitude of people who work here differ massively. Sometimes it’s been great, sometimes it’s been the other way around. Atmosphere: It’s good, wasn’t busy at the times I was here so not loud. Lighting in this place is also good, dim, lets you enjoy your time.

Perfect Place For A Celebration Meal I booked here for a celebration meal prior to me leaving on my travels and had a group of 30. The restaurant was incredibly helpful in accommodating most of my wishes and Cristian was able to help arrange things ahead of time. They had additional high chairs, changed the seating arrangements and was very discreet in billing and ensuring nobody was charged as it was on the one bill. The layout of the venue is exceptional and classy and with the doors closed you would have no idea you were in the Xscape building. I should definitely mention that the food was exquisite certainly worth the money and time. We gave a pre-order in advance to help the restaurant with an idea of what was to come. Personally I had the Japanese Wagyu steak and cannot recommend it enough. The staff were incredibly attentive and supportive for the group ensuring all was well for us and I appreciate them for that. Definitely recommend this place.

Can never go wrong with Wagamama.

Came here a few months ago and received lovely service from Tony but after my last experience I won’t be returning to this wagamama. Upon arrival there was a queue out the door but we didn’t mind the wait. Odd thing to note one of the servers told a table of 2 to say they’re a table of 4 to “get a better table” seemed a bit odd but if that’s how they do things I guess it is what it is. We were seated right by the toilets but requested to move which wasn’t a problem. It wasn’t until after we ordered where things were doing wrong. We requested the sakura gin and tonic but asked to swap tonic for lemonade because quinine (the main flavouring in tonic doesn’t react well with me). Our server told us this wasn’t a problem at all. Our food came before our drinks so we chased them up. When the drinks came out the gin came with tonic, which had I of drank I would have been very unwell but luckily the can of sprite next to the full gin gave it away. We asked the person who brought the drinks what had happened and he said that “my manager won’t let you swap it”. We thought that was really odd so we spoke to the manager. The manager, Nicole, came out and never have both myself and my boyfriend who are both managers in hospitality have seen or received such service. She told us she didn’t want to swap it because of the headache she would get trying to note it down to the big bosses. Nicole also said wagamamas “don’t do things like that” despite the fact i’ve been to the other 2 wagamamas in MK and one in hereford and they didn’t have an issue there as well as last time I came to this one, they had done it with no issue! Nicole told us we can’t order something that isn’t on the menu (the lemonade is on the menu) and we aren’t allowed to swap something. This was odd because kitchen swapped something on my dish and it wasn’t an issue. Lemonade is cheaper than tonic and had nicole of noted down the change, it wouldn’t have “affected her stocks”. When being told we aren’t allowed to change anything I asked, so if someone has an allergy or intolerance to one thing they can’t substitute it with something else and she straight up said no… if you have an allergy don’t both going here. Her attitude was appalling and I have never seen anything like it. I’ve worked in hospitality for 4 years and my boyfriend has for 8 and if any of my staff or someone on my management team spoke to a guest like that I would be shocked and appalled. When speaking to her at the end we raised this with her and she stormed off and walked away. Great customer service! Working in hospitality isn’t easy no but the worst thing you could EVER do is walk away from a guest cause your feelings got hurt. If you don’t like what’s being said about the way you spoke to us, don’t speak to us like that it’s pretty simple actually. To top it all of she didn’t even take the drink we didn’t even have in the end off the menu. it wasn’t until we asked for it to be taken off until it was removed. It wasn’t a cheap meal and honestly the worst experience we’ve ever had. We have filled out a complaint form online but yet to hear back. Simply won’t be returning and telling others to go elsewhere because no one wants to be spoken to like dirt or made to feel like an inconvenience

Poor value for money. Paid £17.50 for a bowl full of rice with some sprinklings of duck and spring onions on top. Waiting staff friendly though

Had an absolutely shocking experience with some friends. We waited an hour for our food to arrive, which arrived about 5 minutes before our drinks, which were wrong. Upon several incorrect drinks being brought, we were told to "chill out, yeah", before a member of staff came over & rudely slammed the correct drink on the table before storming off. A drink we were told would be removed from the bill was never removed, & I paid the full bill simply so we wouldn't have to debate with rude, immature waitstaff any further. We also heard them providing improper service to other guests, & the atmosphere was generally miserable & disorganised, despite not being particularly busy. We will not be going here again, despite being loyal customers for quite some time.

It's Waga's what more is there to say, great food , good prices friendly staff. There a vey short queue when we arrived on Sat but by the time we left there was queue of about 10 people deep.

I went here for lunch without a reservation with a friend. This wasn’t a problem and we were seated at a table and two servers tended to us. Our drinks arrived quickly, our food came out at different times but my friend told me that’s how it works at Wagamama (this was my first experience). The chicken ramen was absolutely delicious, and I was pleased to see I could use a knife and fork because I wouldn’t have got any food in my mouth with the chopsticks! Once we had eaten our meal, it took a long time to get any server’s attention. We had wanted to look at the pudding menu but three members of staff were eating at the staff table on their break and the only server left was rushed off his feet and didn’t look around to see us. We got fed up of waiting, and got up to go and settle the bill without puddings. Would’ve rated it 5* if the service was quicker.

Today I try out new stores as always. I didn't see many customers outside the door, but I saw some Japanese dishes and decided to give it a try. I didn't expect to be able to eat such delicious Japanese food in the UK at a reasonable price. The environment in the store is very clean and the service attitude of the store clerk is also very good. Maybe today I came alone at 2:30, so the clerk was happy to chat with me, but in any case, my experience so far has been very good. I hope to have more customers in the future because I don’t want this place to close down and never be able to taste it.

We have visited many Wagamama in Milton Keynes and around the country. In this instance I thought I'd make a point of leaving a review for this branch because of the service and ambiance. You'd be surprised that not all branches follow Wagamama's formula when cooking I think. Some restaurants' meals can be quite bland and lack flavour especially at peak times. In this instance, I think someone was over zealous with the chilli. For this reason my daughter was slowly picking at her meal. I thought what a waste as Wagamama is a favourite for her. My meal was tasty. The service provided by our server Neve was lovely and on the ball. Walking by she observed that my daughter was not enjoying her meal. Neve promptly sorted tbe matter. Being a customer focused restaurant we were offered the meal to take home. I had the leftover and my goodness my mouth was on FIRE!! Poor child! Nebe being thoughtful and energetic on the day added to our eating experience as we had travelled over an hour from our usual haunts to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Besides this blip, I still will give this branch a five star. The atmosphere was lovely and not busy at the time we visited. We dined after watching a 15:50pm movie. There was ample parking available at the time we went. I would definitely recommend Wagamama Xscape.

Wonderful fast quality food with attentive staff

I found the dishes were disappointing. Firecracker chicken had very little chicken and the veg hadn't been chopped up very well! Katsu curry lacked taste. Took far too long to take our drinks orders, and when they brought the drinks they only brought half of them, with the rest coming in a 2nd batch (only 6 drinks!) Food got to us faster than some of our drinks. Dishes are over priced (edame beans especially) and drinks way too high a mark up. Wagamamas wants to be seen as "fast & friendly" with regard to everything except their prices!

Always enjoy eating here. Food is very good but alas it’s just very expensive for ramen, the cheapest of all the cheaps. I would visit more than twice a year if it was just a touch cheaper but £75 for 3 meals and 3 cokes is for special events only.

Wagamama xscape review Wagamama has become a go-to spot for me, having visited a couple of times with friends and family. Initially introduced to their fantastic starters by a friend, my last visit truly stood out due to the outstanding service provided by the staff. The saying is true – great staff makes a great experience. On this particular occasion, my son was in the mood for noodles, so we headed to Wagamama, even though it's not typically at the top of my list. That day, we were fortunate to have Tony serving our table. His kindness and friendliness added a special touch to our dining experience. When we placed our order, Tony pleasantly surprised us by stating that the boys' noodles were on him. Despite my attempts to pay, he refused and continued to provide exceptional, joy-filled service throughout our meal. Tony's upbeat and active approach to his job truly made a difference. Aside from the service, Wagamama's cauliflower starter and other appetizers are a delight. The fresh juices complement the meal perfectly. However, I must note that for those who prefer bold flavors and aren't fans of low-salt and flavours options, the main course might not be the highlight. In summary, Wagamama is a wonderful place to gather with friends and family. The staff, especially individuals like Tony, elevate the dining experience. Don't miss out on their fresh juices – they're a refreshing addition to your meal.

First of all, I really like Wagamamas and I have been to several different locations over the years, today might be the best I have ever had! It was busy but that did not affect the service or the food. Really well done to the kitchen….I sometimes find that Wagamamas food, whilst always fresh, is sometimes not quite cooked enough, you need that little bit of char from the hot plate to make the noodles sing, they got it spot on today, we were a party of 4 and every dish was great 👍

Had a small blip with my order but really wasn’t a big deal so just left it but the razor sharp attention of server Tony spotted it, corrected it and removed it from the bill. A little bit of noise because of full house. Food is reasonable hot enough for such busy kitchen.

It was loud and busy when I visited. The ramen was good, but my order got a bit mixed up. I asked to remove the spicy oil, but still add the kimchi despite it being spicy. What I got was the opposite - the spicy oil seemed to be there, but the kimchi was missing. The taste was still good, but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed, since I was excited to try kimchi

Rhys has been brilliant. Very knowledgable and helpful. He made us feel at home. I gave Rhys the job of recommending something for me to eat and he was spot on.

Unfortunately we were seated, given a drink and ignored by all staff for 30 minutes. Ended up walking out. Guy who was our server cleaned every table around us, took a personal phone call next to us and still refused to make eye contact with us to start an order. Rest of the staff didn't notice or come over/close enough for us to ask for service.

Definitely something went wrong tonight with the staff. I only assume they were new so some allowance made. The chicken katso we ordered was missing the pickled veg, when we asked our server we were told the menu had changed which we excepted until the person on the next table ordered it and it came with the veg. It took 2 request for spoons and 3 server to get one green tea. We also asked for some water but were told by our server that we had to purchase a bottle of water ( we had all bought drinks so weren’t trying to be cheapskates) . Also one of the server was wearing leather dangling bracelets which dragged across plates, so they might need to remove the curry sauce from the tassels.

We have come here a couple of times. The food is always amazing service fast and speedy. Nico and Kat have been absolutely amazing looking after us. The whole team are freindly and never disappoint. My son loved practicing his chop sticks skills for his special treat dinner. Thank you everybody for making our day 😊

The food was really well prepared and cooked to a high standard but the service really let the place down - one of our servers was grumpy and didn't engage, the others were not very engaging either and were just going through the motions. A great shame - staff need to smile and go the extra mile - this shift need retraining.

I went here with work friends and it was so good! Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, staff were amazing and the place was clean. I had chilli squid, shirodashi pork belly ramen and dough-chi for dessert and they were all so delicious. Cost less than £35 including a large drink and an additional side. I cannot wait to go back!
