Our first last time. We Order chicken with mix vegetables times2 and chicken with green peppers and black beans with 3 boiled rice. The food was not fresh. Very disappointing.

Online says closes 9.30pm I arrived 8.55pm. Even though people waiting for orders, was told "shut the door we closed". Bear in mind me and my family have been regulars there for literally years. Im 49, i remember going there witj friends when at college. Terrible service, terrible attitude

Got fishcake and chips got home in ten mins food is cold and chips or fish cake not cooked properly there always in rush to make money how bout serve the people descent food

Their chicken curry is absolutely disgusting it does not even taste like a chinese chips are very dry and hard they cook their savoloys in the kettle the sausages taste gone off. And they don't wash their hands this is the worst Chinese take away I've been to.

Disappointing Fish’n’Chips tonight. Normally excellent but batter on freshly cooked fish hardly cooked and chips rather a soggy lump. They weren’t particularly busy but the end product seemed rushed.

The chippers side is good food, nice fresh chips. Unfortunately we found the Chinese side either too sweet or too bitter.

The last couple of occasions I have visited family in the area we have ordered from here. Very friendly, clean and efficient. More importantly the portion sizes are very generous and tasty.

Very good food at a good price.

As said b4 have been here many times and have had this meal given to me perfect many times also but the 2 times I have sent it back the first was ok straight swap..the second tonight was made to check with lid partly lifted DURING COVID 19 in store and when I got back was not crispy and pink...rang store to be told even after saying look it's fine it's just a update that they would never serve me this meal again

Ever I was very hungry or food is really good almost best one I tried so far. portions are large for money you pay and made fresh to not precoked as most of them spot on will come back again definatly

First time ordering and when we arrived it was busy which was a good sign. We ordered quite a lot, got home and the only thing that could have been better was the rib (was overcooked and dry) in the mix starter for £9, good portions split between two with enough for a full meal each tomorrow. Would def order again, thank you

This is hands down the best Chinese I’ve had in a long while. 100% recommend. Staff are so polite and really friendly. Would give this more than a 10/10, the family and I absolutely loved it.

Favourite Chinese in basingstoke

All the usual Chinese fare. Had food from there on several occasions in the past on visits to the town. I think they may have a new cook, their curries had a different flavour to usual. Nice but not what I was expecting.

Food is great, service is spot on, just be careful on what you order as the portions sizes are extremely large,

My local fish and chip shop ... small fish and chips is ok for the average person ..always good and freshly cooked... the Chinese food is also good .. but large portions as well. Cash only .. so do not try to pay with your google pay watch... they are a long way from accepting that!

Good portions, better value than other Chinese Takeaways.

Been going here for donkeys years for both fish and chips and Chinese.Good food big portions of chips, quite fast and usually give Free prawn crackers with big orders, I think it's above £20. Only draw back is they are cash only, but then so are a lot of the Chinese,s.

Need to start taking card payments!

I travel over 9 miles to use this place. Always amazing value and amazing taste compared to other take aways near me. Only takes cash, not card, which is annoying but doesn't detur me.

I have been too tired to cook after a tough day and just turned up wanting some decent food to take home. And I havent been disappointed. The fish and chips are really good! (I say this after several visits.)

Tasty and delicious Chinese meal .

Always had good food but the noodles are a not cooked well and had to wait 45 minutes.

Can't beat this Chinese and massive fish and chips.

Good food always fresh and appetising. Staff are friendly and helpful if you have allergies 😚 Good selection English fish and chips but an amazing Chinese menu! Good parking facilities also! Don't take visa cards, but cash machine local to shop so handy for last minute hunger pangs😀

Rice was super hard. Asked for chilli in the rice dish and received none. I asked for lamb and was given beef. Not acceptable as I had to pay extra given it wasn’t on the menu. Lucky they had closed by the time I’d got home - if not, I’d have returned the food. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

Good food, reasonably priced can get busy at peak times so maybe worth ringing to order before hand.

Wood takeaway has been part of the South Ham community for decades. Whilst it's no gourmet dining experience it's well above average and offers a choice of freshly cooked fish and chip as well as the chinese takeaway dishes. Expect a queue as it is very popular at peak times. There's parking nearby. They only take cash however a nearby Coop has a cash machine.

Best curry sauce this side of Hampshire. Good chips too. Friendly staff

The whole family are now suffering with food poisoning from this place. Will never order from here again! Stay away from the chicken and pork balls unless you want to live your days on the toilet! Disgusting

Used to be my favorite take away But am suffering with serious food poisoning following a meal there.

Although we dont live in the are (about 8 miles away).. we would go there for a Chinese takeaway or fish & chips. The Chinese dishes are really tasty and good quality ingredients. The fish & chips are a sizeable portion, a real decent piece of fish. The service is always friendly and efficient. Yep, found this gem about 4 years ago and been going there since. Says a lot as I am Chinese.

Food is always good, never heard a sour note of this take away.

My take away of choice since childhood. Every time I visit my family in Basingstoke, I insist on getting a Woo's! Delicious and good on the wallet

Good food and very affordable. Good service, hot food, lots of options to choose from. My only 2 drawbacks are they are only open at set hours, but they are common meal times and they don't deliver.

You can never go to another chinese after coming here, good quality food at fair prices

Always busy but we always get great food from here. Prices are fair. We drive past 3 or 4 other chippies to get here so says it all really.

Best Chinese takeaway in Basingstoke

Great food and very good fish and chips, been here with my parents since kids. When i visit my parents we still quite often get meals from here! great staffs too!

We ordered for 7 of us and the food was great. My only issue was they got one of the dishes wrong. We ordered a chicken dish and was given a prawn dish. Unfortunately my sister in law is allergic and this could have been a serious issue for us. It's a shame this happened, however the food was great and would highly recommend it. Just double check food before leaving

Stumbled on it by chance when my regular haunts were shut over Christmas. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Been back a few times since.

I ordered the Chef's Special for 2 over the phone. My order was ready in 10mins. Even when I changed the prawn crackers to chips, I still got the prawn crackers when I picked up our order free of charge. Great staff, great service & lovely food! I will definitely be ordering from them again.
