This is a restaurant where you get the best of British. The menu is varied but not overwhelming. Service is always excellent, friendly and courteous. Beautiful surroundings, farm shop gives you high quality food, the butchery counter is up there with the very best. Thoroughly recommend this establishment, me I like their eggs your way on toast, always piping hot and the traditional breakfast is very tasty too. Put this one your must visit list.

As a family of 5 we felt extremely welcome in the cafe. Great choice on the menu. Staff were amazing, our lovely young waitress was attentive. The food we ordered was two adults fish and chips, and three child meals. (Chips spot on) best value for money children meals included a drink. Thank you so much for making our visit so welcoming. Very clean facilities. Will be back.

Staff were friendly which was nice. The website states breakfast til 1200 but was told 11:30 when we sat down so we missed out on the breakfast. We had paninis instead which were ok but nothing exciting. Not a great selection of cakes either so we didn’t try anything. Hopefully will try a breakfast out another time as they did look lovely on other people’s tables.

Great produce, very well cooked. My only issue is that the place was crawling with flies. I Appreciate this is a situated at a farm, but we counted seven flies alone around our table, so we spent much of our meal waving them away from ourselves & our plates. When we went to pay, the till area, just opposite from the kitchen, was totally infested with them. We did mention it while paying, and the only response we got was one of agreement. Surely a spray around the place with fly spray, after closing time wouldn't be too arduous? For that reason alone, I don't think we will be going back anytime soon, which is a shame, as we have been regulars there for years

This Farm shop and cafe are superb. We had the most delicious breakfast - very fresh and perfectly cooked. All local produce used. The staff are friendly and the views are great onto open fields and the livestock. (I loved watching the geese running up and down). The farm shop itself is also excellent with fresh, local fruit and veg. An extensive delicatessen and butchers counter. We are lucky to have this shop so close by.

When I first went to Woodview for breakfast, it was fabulous. Over the years it’s become less good. Yesterdays breakfast was fatty, floppy (boiled?) bacon, stale toast (Friday or Saturdays bread) and a greasy hash brown. However, the farm shop is fabulous so no doubt I’ll continue to have disappointing breakfasts because I do love to shop there!

Starving hungry and far from home we popped in for breakfast. Being vegan & vegetarian they couldn’t offer a lot for us as a farm shop but managed to rustle up a small expensive fry up which didn’t include a non meat sausage or bacon alternative but charged us the same price for what wasn’t a ‘full English’. Our local farm shop can manage it, why can’t they? Very poor in 2022.

I had finished his was still too hot to eat. Daughter in law purchased three bird roast. It had no cooking instructions and the farm were telephoned twice for cooking instructions. When the three bird roast was carved there was stuffing inside the turkey but no other birds. It was supposed to contain pheasant which is a dark meat but no sign of it inside. It was sold as three bird roast. It was big enough to feed eight adults with plenty left for sandwiches. It was tasty but disappointing in that it was not what it should have been

I've visited this venue several times. Tge food is always nicely presented and cooked to perfection. The eggs benedict and veggie sausages for our respective dishes was no exception. Please coukd you get soya or coconut milk for your coffees, teas and lattes. The drinks came immediately but the food took a little longer which was excellent as it meant that it was being cooked freshly rather than being kept warm under lamps The sausage was particularly good so much so that my wife bought some more for us to take home Go you will not be disappointed !!

Just been to Woodview for the inaugural Steak Night, promised ourselves we would try the Chateaubriand, and im so glad we did. Dont think we have ever tasted a finer piece of beef. Perfectly cooked, medium rare. Had the fat chips and ordered pepper sauce and my wife had the stilton sauce, however we both couldnt bring ourselves to put the sauce on the steak, it was perfectly delicious as it was. As always the staff were very friendly, and helpful, they make going to Woodview as pleasant as is possible, and nothing feels like too much trouble. Ended the meal with simple ice cream, as anything else would just feel too much. We will definitely be back, and hopefully after Christmas our wishes will come true :) Only downside to giving a glowing review is it will probably be harder to get a table next time ;) Well done to all for making it a fantastic night :)

We decided to visit the restaurant for Sunday lunch on the 24th September having been previously some weeks before for Sunday breakfast. All of the young staff were very friendly and accommodating and my partner likes his meat quite rare so he was asking questions of the waitress before deciding what to order. The roast beef and all the trimmings was delicious. Upon paying the bill we spoke to some of the staff and found out that Hannah I believe her name was actually standing in as the chef was on holiday and this was her first time of cooking a roast. There are farm shops and there are farm shops. This is a farm shop on steroids. The fruit and veg department has all the seasonal produce you could reasonably expect to find, as does the in-house butchers. Add the wide selection of beers, sweeties and other groceries and you have a little gem on your doorstep. I only called in for a coffee but walked out with a packet of luxury biscuit and a jar of pasta sauce. It was difficult not to get carried away. The cafe area looks a little dated but could equally be called charming. It overlooks a field populated by sheep, no doubt due to reappear in the butchery in due course. My coffee was excellent. The staff were cheerful, even if the waitress was somewhat shouty. She obviously enjoyed her work, which is nice to see.Other food outlets could learn a lot from this place. Came here for breakfast with friends hoping it had changed in the 18 months or so that I had been last. Wish I hadn't bothered. Asking for a well done fried egg apparently means I would like an egg that has been kept under a heated so long it glazes over and goes hard. However, once the food arrived, obviously we had to order more drinks coz we'd drunk the first ones (we would normaly only wish to order one drink) the food was F.A.B..... bacon well cooked and lovely and thick, served on wooden 'plates'...... the soup was hot and exceptionally delicious. Shop: the range and price of meat within the butchery section was well presented and reasonaby priced.... so much so I ordered my Cockeral for Christmas from them :-) ....Will be going back (without a bicycle) to purchase some lusious looking goods. JUST SORT OUR YOUR TIMINGS OF DRINKS/FOOD DELIVERY TO TABLE...... :-)

Myself, my mum and a group of friends decided to visit Woodview Farm Cafe in Gamlingay for a piece of cake and a drink. We went in Summer Holidays on a Wednesday at 2:00 in the afternoon. The place has a big sign outside to direct you into the Car Park which is handy so look out for that. The Car Park has around 20 spaces and wasn't particularly busy when we visited. As you go through the entrance of the shop, you are in a farm shop where you can buy a range of food including meat, vegetables, fruit and cake. There is also a variety of wine to buy. Once you enter the Café, it is laid out really well and there are quite a few tables ranging in sizes. We sat on a table of 5 next to the window where there is a boring view of an endless field. The Café was pretty sparse and there were not many people in there which was great as it meant it wasn't loud in there. I had a hot chocolate which cream and marshmallows which was very nice however it was just a tad bit too cold for me. I had a piece of the chocolate cake and that was the main reason I visited this place. I enjoyed it; it was lovely and moist although it was slightly too big for me! Don't worry my mum managed to eat it still so it couldn't have been massive. On the other hand, my friend ordered a slice of Victoria Sponge which beforehand she had observed and chosen specifically from a table where you can look and decide which cake you want to have. When the waitress came over to our table though, she gave my friend a small slice of Victoria Sponge Cake which was not what she had chosen (it was a different size and shape to the cake she had chosen beforehand which was a let down). According to her and a few of my other friends who tried it, it wasn't very nice apparently. The jam was raspberry jam when she had hoped it would be strawberry so just remember that. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we did have a laugh but maybe to improve our visit, the Victoria Sponge could have been nicer and the hot chocolate could have been warmer.

Initially a farm shop, their meat is especially good, which has branched out as a very pleasant eating experience. From breakast through to afternoon tea it's a great occasion.

I have been using the Farm Shop in Gamlingay since we moved to here 5 summers a go. The service is amazing and there is never any request impossible to satisfy. The meat products are extremely good quality and value for money and the deli has all the things you would want from your local shop. Fruit and veg tastes like it did when we were kids rather than the bland tasteless muck offered in large supermarket chains.I have been able to make orders for obscure meats and also beautiful rounds of cheese for social events I have held chez Kitcher. The restaurant encompasses all of the amazing produce in the shop and the chef is well experienced enough to make it taste amazing. I have eaten breakfast, lunch and Sunday dinner and all was well cooked, good quality and the portions were huge. Value for money it is.

We have been customers of the farm shop for several years and recently had breakfast there. It was amazing - the café was well decorated and spacious with lovely views over the fields (lambs in one field). There is an outside decked area and netting at the doors to ensure the outside doesn't come in in hot weather. Breakfast was lovely - freshly brewed tea, nicely cooked breakfast (including a large field mushroom!) and good toast. Service was good. We'll go back to try this venue for lunch soon.

Friendly staff and prompt service made this is a great lunch time break from work. The burgers were quite soft and crumbly, but very tasty, with a big rasher of good bacon and plenty of cheese in a brioche bun. The chips came in a miniature "chip pan" wire basket which, although cute, meant the chips cooled rather quickly. The tea was strong, which was great, but it didn't come with any water to top up, so we had to ask for some, which was a little difficult as the waitress was very hard to flag down! We got up to ask in the end. That aside, we enjoyed our lunch and had the added benefit of buying some sausages for tea from the farm shop on our way out.

We visit here quite often, living just up the road. Usually the excellent Sunday lunch, but also their great breakfast. I've also sat and chatted with a friend over a couple of coffees and a cake each, and always been made to feel most welcome. The quality of food is superb and never disappoints. The view is lovely, and I can also get some some shopping on the way out at the well stocked farm shop. Highly recommended.

Lovely relaxed brekkie with the fam at Woodview Farm Gamlingay. Full English for Mr C, poached eggs on toast for myself and C the Younger. Lovely to have someone else make our brekkie, and lovely to have a view over a field of lambkins. It even stopped raining by the time we finished

Another great find thanks to TA. Dropped by while in the local area and wasn't disappointed. Great lunch, we had sandwiches all round and they were very good. Others in the cafe were having a carvery and it looked wonderful. Prices very reasonable, £6 a sandwich and £9.95 for the carvery. Staff were friendly and attentive. The farm shop, while small, is very well stocked with an impressive range of local produce. After our meal we took a walk around the farm to look at the new lambs and the pigs. A very enjoyable experience, looking forward to visiting again for a carvery.

Home made chips served with fresh beer battered cod and mushy peas......it doesn't come any better than that. Great service whether popping in for coffee and cake or a full blown home cooked lunch. Friendly staff, great food who could ask for more. A little gem x

We were advised that a visit was worthwhile so with the Farm shop as well a shopping trip was on the cards.A warm welcome even though we were as it turned out a bit early for lunch, but no problem we just had to wait for things to heat up a bit.A steak baguette for me & ham salad baggy for Char, Mocha & Coke all nicely garnished, tender & tasty. It a pleasant break in a comfortable, freshly decorated cafe, if you are after something more thana sandwich the menu is there for main courses at reasonable prices. If you are in the area its well worth a visit for a break & a cuppa.

Visited for lunch and WOW!! Decided on the omelette and it was the nicest one I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and full of my chosen fillings. Asked for a glass of water and it came in a lovely decorated bottle straight from the fridge - lovely touch!!

Booked a Sunday lunch for 2. Good service and the food was excellent. The only observation was that I could have done with a little more meat but that didn’t spoil the meal at all. Loads of vegetables and cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. All washed down with a splendid pint. It’s not the cheapest but it’s not the most expensive and I’d say you get good value for the cost. Very much recommend a visit.
