Great community pub! The guy who greeted us and took our orders was amazing and so attentive. Great food and dessert. Very welcoming and felt very relaxed about the whole evening and meal. The chocolate fudge tart was incredibly rich but with the crème fresh it cut through the tart and gave such amazing flavours. 5/5 Came back this Sunday for roast lunch and while the beef was amazing and cooked great! the vegetables were undercooked and the women running the pub instead of being apologetic said it's Al dente which is fine for pasta but not root vegetables that require me to put strain on the knife to slice through. 2.5/5

We visited with another couple after hearing great things about the food - it did not disappoint. The food was delicious with plenty of choice and good size portions. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. So tasty! Desserts were fab. We had cheesecake, sticky toffee pud, chocolate tart and the cheeseboard. Clean plates all round! The bar side is cosy and cute and the restaurant light and airy with lovely views of the garden and countryside. Can’t wait to go back, thank you to Chris and the team for making us so welcome.

Fantastic lunch today with my stepdad. We both had ciabattas - mine honey roasted ham and full to the brim with fresh salad and a mustard mayo. Stepdad had fish fingers and rocket - no Birds Eye here! Shared some of the fluffiest and crispy chips I’ve had in a long while. Can’t wait to come back to try more! Service with lots of smiles!

We have visited this pub nestled in a lovely village very close to the City of Cambridge over the years and it never disappoints. It is well maintained with both the inside and outside tastefully designed. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the best of ingredients are used for the food. There is a car park and spaces on the street too.

Waited around 40 minutes for 3 meals then only 2 were brought out. 10 minutes later my meal arrived but when I started eating the fishcake was COLD in the middle so i sent it back. Chef came out and disagreed with me he said it wasn't cold! I was offered a replacement but I declined as I didn't want to eat when my friends had finished, I was offered drinks but I was driving, when we paid I said to the waitress that I didn't like the chefs attitude that I felt he was accusing me of lying...I did want my lunch actually. Chef came storming out and told me to stop being rude to the waitress, I wasn't. He apoligised but i felt he said it begrudgingly. Unfortunately (I'm partially disabled, I have to push on something to stand up) I pushed on the table and it tipped a glass tumbler onto the floor, it bounced once then smashed into 1000 pieces. Chef came running out with a face like thunder. I said it was an accident, which it was, I said sorry several times, the staff said nothing. Karma. Will not recommend this place to anyone or ever go there again.

We had a couple of lunches here whilst staying locally and can confirm the consensus that this is a brilliant pub doing lovely food with efficient and friendly service. As vegetarians it’s often hard to find decent food when eating out but that was not the case here with tasty and imaginative options available. We will happily return next time we are in the area.

What a find! Four of us has had a really enjoyable lunch in the garden here: two Sunday roasts and two fresh tuna cooked just as requested, with a lovely leafy salad. The puddings were great too, and we followed with amazingly good sticky toffee pudding for two and baked nectarines. The young staff were friendly and efficient. 10/10

What a find!! This is a small traditional inn with old fashioned hospitality, excellent, interesting food, a real cut above pub food, (and some gastro pubs!) and all home made! There was a good range of meat and fish dishes, but also vegetarian both as starters and mains, and it looked like there were good puddings too, but we were too full to manage one! They were happy to amend the menu to provide the food I wanted, and they had a good range of wines and beers. This pub punches above its weight. The cost of our dinner was much less than we had expected and represented excellent value for money. It has good off road parking and a garden for summer dining. We would DEFINITELY visit again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Oh and it was really dog friendly as well, a real bonus .

This was a very poor experience. There was little or no service. We had to ask for attention. I ordered hake -the special not on the limited printed menu. No-one asked about allegeries and there was seafood in the dish - clams I was told after asking as I am allergic to mussels. The one young man on duty never returned to ask if we wanted sweets or coffee. We had to ring a bell to pay.

This is a very rare oasis of a pub. We stopped by chance thinking it was a typical beer and burger type of pub. Instead we found a very pleasant menu of interesting dishes. My family have eaten here for the last 10 years, especially for birthdays & Sunday roasts. I took a party of six people for a Sunday roast today, The service was very slow, and the roast was very poor, the beef was over cooked & the roast potatoes (not home made) were clearly re-heated & the Yorkshires were not homemade either, not enough vegetables (over cooked) for six people, also we had to ask for mash potato which didn't come with the meal as advertised. This used to be a great place for a Sunday roast, Not anymore. also no Vegan option. I would not recommend, very poor value for money, I have had better meals in pubs that supply crayons and colouring books!

I visited this pub with a large group for Sunday lunch for my 40th birthday. As it was for a large group we were asked to preorder, so I called the previous Monday to ask for the menu and they took my email address to send it to me. I hadn't received it by Tuesday so I called again and left my email address. They still didn't send it so I called again on Thursday to check if it was a problem if we didn't preorder and they said they'd get back to me, they didn't. Most of us arrived by 12.30pm but 2 people were late which meant we didn't order til 12.55pm, they didn't tell us that was a problem. The roasts came quickly and were really tasty, excellent roast potatoes, compliments to the chef! Some of us decided to order desert, which we did at around 1.50pm. Shortly after we were told by the manager that we needed to vacate the table by 2.30pm. This was the first we'd heard of it, there was no mention of this when we booked or when we arrived, but we thought the deserts would come quickly so we should have time. Two of the deserts arrived, but as the waitress went to get the rest the manager came over again and almost shouted that we had to leave at 2.30pm and should not have ordered deserts. We told him that we had ordered them at 1.50pm, before we knew we had to be gone. If they had come out quicker we would have had enough time. We then got up to leave making sure the deserts were take off the bill. It was extremely embarrassing, we felt like we were being thrown out. It had been a lovely afternoon until then, apart from them not stocking an NZ Sauvignon Blanc. If we had known there was a time limit we would have ordered for the late comers. I won't be returning to be shouted at anytime soon! I will definitely book elsewhere for my birthday next year!

I have visited this pub for food many, many times and recommend to ours. It is our go to pub for Sunday Lunch. Today I visited for a friend’s birthday . We were a large party and they asked us to pre order but despite multiple requests did not provide the menu to allow us to do so. Two of our party were late which delayed our order for mains. At no point were we told that this was a huge problem . Once the plates were cleared we ordered puddings. I ordered a drink and had to ask three times before the wrong thing was presented ( it was only a pint of lemonade and lime!) . Ten minutes later we were told by the manager that we had to leave the table in approximately 20 minutes time as they had to flip the table. We thought this would be no problem although we were unimpressed that we had not been advised of a time limit when we booked . If we had been told we would not have waited for late arrivals before ordering. Twenty minutes later we were told that we had to leave despite the puddings still not arriving. The manager had charged us for these and told us it was our fault that we were leaving without finishing our meal as we had ordered puddings after being told we had a time limit ! I advised him that it was the staff’s fault for providing such slow service and that we had ordered prior to being told when we had to leave . This debacle ruined my friend’s birthday lunch. It was embarrassing. The service was extremely slow and the manager very rude. This place was amazing under the old management but has seriously deteriorated. Shockingly bad.

Had three courses each and some drinks and cannot fault the meal or the service - apart from the two Knickerbocker Glory that we ordered. There was some delay in serving those but it does not detract from the excellent overall experience. Very reasonably priced for what we ordered - including two 10oz steaks cooked just as we asked - and we would not hesitate to highly recommend. One thing to note: there is a petanque court in the garden and tonight there was a match about to commence (8pm?). We stayed at the Three Hills early November 2024 and were very impressed. The room was lovely and well equipped. It was very clean and comfortable with an ample and luxurious shower room.

Visited for lunch and WOW!! Decided on the omelette and it was the nicest one I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and full of my chosen fillings. Asked for a glass of water and it came in a lovely decorated bottle straight from the fridge - lovely touch!!

Booked a Sunday lunch for 2. Good service and the food was excellent. The only observation was that I could have done with a little more meat but that didn’t spoil the meal at all. Loads of vegetables and cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. All washed down with a splendid pint. It’s not the cheapest but it’s not the most expensive and I’d say you get good value for the cost. Very much recommend a visit.
