I really love The Black Men and I especially like going to a bakehouse nearby after a nice pint of beer at The Black Men.

All round great visit,landlord,staff and customers were very welcoming and friendly. Very comfortable and cozy,great outdoor seating area with plenty of individual table heaters. Plenty of parking. Although we didn't eat on this occasion we did take a look at the menu and it looked very appetising, will definitely be returning very soon for food and drinks. Overall, exactly what you would love a country pub to be.

After 10 years as regulars at this pub we have said goodbye due to moving away. We are already missing everyone. Our dog Brian is sulking at losing his regular cuddles! It's a truly wonderful pub. Steve and Kerry are the best hosts you could wish for. If you want a proper pub (not a restaurant) with great beer and a real pub atmosphere this is the place for you. Had a lovely evening with my daughter ..in a local pub thats really inviting ..one of the last of the local beer only pubs ..everyone feels welcome ..just a nice place to go.. highly recommended ..

Haven’t been here for a few years, called in whilst on a walk and pleased we did. Staff very friendly, place was warm, clean, ambience was just right and it was cosy. Impressed with the non sticky tables. (Pet hate - sticky tables!)

We're so lucky to have a friendly, welcoming local pub at the Black Horse. It is really well kept and run. A great place to have a drink, they do snacks and on Fridays there is a great food van in the carpark. You can take your food to eat in the pub. The Mexican food was so good!

Love this place. Very friendly lard Lord and staff. Lovely beer garden with play area for kids. The pub welcomes well behaved dogs on leads. Bar food is also available at a reasonable price.

Wonderful community spirited pub, raising money for charity by runs etc. Very popular and friendly landlady/landlord. Lovely to sit in the garden in summer and a covered area fro BBQ and watching Sky Sports. Do visit.

Always visit this place when I'm in Melbourn! It's a proper drinkers boozer with great beer that is well priced. The couple that run it are cracking and very welcoming to all. There is food available which is always nice and the all day available pizzas are a god send for those end of evening cravings. Perfect atmosphere!

Went with some friends. The food was really bad, ordered the burger basket which came with a load of cheap fries and what seemed like a Rustler's burger. It was very cheap at £4 but I'd rather pay more for something nice, even if it's just some good quality chips over a "meal" The pints were great and the pub had a nice atmosphere.

If you like a good range of ales, lagers etc with a proper pub atmosphere & a nice garden this ticks all the boxes!!!
