Delicious pizza 🍕 and spaghetti 🍝… Good central location with nice decor and very clean toilets … The only downside is a bit pricey and slow service during peak hours … We had Chef’s special pizza and it was superb 👌🏻

I've been eating here for years and it's almost become like a tradition every time I'm in Keswick with family. Over the years, I've gotten pizzas, steaks, burgers and kebabs and they've been delicious every time, without fail. I've seen staff members come and go, but they've always been friendly and helpful, and the quality in food has never changed! The only issue I have is that it can be a bit cramped and there's not a ton of floor-space. It can be a bit of a squeeze to get past people if chairs aren't fully tucked-in, but it's well worth it once you get sat down and start eating!

Overpriced for terrible quality - more than £35 for 2 x 12 inch pizzas takeaway. Ordered a margarita and a double pepperoni. Both were best described as Dry as Sticks. The margarita was overcooked by some way. Advertised as mozzarella but had a definite cheddar taste and colour. The quality of food nowhere near resembles the prices charged. We won’t be back.

Avoid this place at all costs. We found metal in our pizza and the restaurant’s response was to claim it was “not their fault” and that they could lose their job if they gave no more than a measly discount. Expect overpriced pizza, rude staff members and a potential lawsuit when you cut your mouth open thanks to their carelessness.

The pricing is outrageous, and the service is appalling. My partner found metal wire in his food and instead of a proper apology, the staff tried to guilt trip us and gave us a completely unsatisfactory discount.

Just very, very average pizza for the crazy prices they charge. Also, the air con unit kept turning on and off automatically so the place was freezing. But mainly, the pizzas were just not good.

Very good pizza and great service. Only let down was it was freezing cold in there which detracted somewhat from the overall experience. Even the staff were huddled around the pizza oven for warmth when not serving. Some decent heating might be an idea.

Congratulations, quite possibly the worst restaurant pizza I have ever eaten. I would put it on par with a frozen Iceland pizza. The very least a pizza restaurant should be able to offer is homemade bases. This was something akin to cardboard topped with tomato purée, and red and yellow cheese of some description. If it wasnt in a tourist location, it would survive a month.

Unfortunately when we arrived, at the time we had booked for, our table wasn’t vacant. The previous diners were still there. The member of staff we spoke to was deeply apologetic and apologised numerous times whilst we were there. We only had to wait about 10 minutes. Then the waitress put our order through very quickly and our food and drinks arrived promptly. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We have been here many times before and will be returning again.

Excellent food again. Service with a smile. A great experience. Magnificent 7 pizza for the boys, kebabs for the gals. Really tasty.

We had a wonderful family meal at Woodstone in Keswick over the Christmas period. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home, and the food was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect place to celebrate together. Highly recommend it for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience!

Booked it last minute on Christmas Eve, very busy restaurant, but staff still made us feel at home. Lovely atmosphere and food ,lamb kebab and cannelloni, were excellent. As mentioned, staff were very friendly and helpful. We found this to be a lovely, friendly restaurant.

Got a pizza from here to takeaway and it was absolutely amazing, loads of toppings and the base was perfect. Easily the best pizza in Keswick, will definitely go again.

We have eaten at Woodstone for years now, every time we visit Keswick. Many moons ago I wrote a very positive review and after our recent visit we would write the same review again. The staff went over and above to help when I fell ill, supported my partner and showed genuine kindness and empathy. Nothing was too much trouble for them. A smashing group of people who care about their customers and cook delicious food. The two meat kebab is our favourite and there is a great choice of pizzas. Thank you again.

We were a large family group who had pre booked the week before. Food, staff and service excellent special thanks to Sean who was friendly and efficient which made us all feel relaxed.

Now let me be straight im no food critic but here me out My wife and i went for a sunday drive this place popped up on google maps as being open so we gave it try nice looking place but sadly the food very disappointed waitress friendly so good start we got the mushrooms and garlic bread to start :( mine came cold so they made me another honestly. it was like something from aldi for 99p so mains we went for pizza options again for the prices they are charging you expect decent food !! pizza bases like cheap frozen bases like a cooked jacobs cracker :( too much topping and very bland i have had better pizzas for £1.00 from the aldi frozen section 2 starters and 2 mains and a side of chips with drinks just short of £70 for the price you would expect proper pizzas with decent toppings etc such a shame

The gap between the prices charged, and the quality of the food is simply ridiculous. Only when the food arrives does it become clear how important your money is to them, compared with what they are prepared to give. There is no need for details here - readers will go, or not, according to their own minds - but we believe our money was wasted. We left feeling hungry, and perhaps even more - extremely disappointed.

Pizzas are alright but the garlic bread with tomato is delicious!! Chicken kebab is pretty good too - Lovely staff. (Looking forward to the garlic bread on my next visit!)

Major letdown. The pizza was far from what you'd expect from a wood-fired oven - more like a cracker with a few toppings and a sour tomato sauce. Frozen pizza from Lidl is tastier than this. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. To top it off, they have Spaghetti Bolognese in the menu, which doesn’t even exist in Italy! If you call your place Italian, at least get the basics right. Honestly, it doesn’t deserve to have "pizza" in its name. A thoroughly disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

Came today, Amazing place with amazing staff!

Ordered takeaway pizzas for 3. Given a time to pick up and pizzas were ready bang on time. The pizzas were absolutely delicious 10/10. If you want an excellent pizza In Keswick look no further. (Oh and the service was excellent too)

If you wanna get turned away with a reservation at a completely dead restaurant only because you’re 15 mins earlier head to Woodstone. No empathy or atleast polite customer service to even let us in and sit at the bar while we wait for our table even though the entire restaurant was empty

Food was fresh and clean but didn't wow, for the price I expected more

The food really lets this place down. For a pizza restaurant, the pizza was possibly the worst I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Wood fired, couldn’t taste it? The dough base was tasteless, the tomato pizza sauce was a sharp, sour tomato taste, but nothing ‘tasty’ so to speak. The pepperoni tasted of nothing, literally nothing. The worst part, the price - £50 later, for 2 pizzas, fries and 2 pints of Coke (£5 each?!?!), this was possibly the most expensive, disappointing pizza I’ve ever eaten.

So, you think pizza, you think wood stone, you think fresh… I could honestly get this pizza in the oven from Asda or any other named supermarket. No biased reviews here!! £29 for 2 margarita pizza’s… I get Keswick is a bit “posh” and usually that comes with the price and location being in the Lake District but that is no excuse for the quality of this pizza. Look at the base, the cheese, the sauce. Nothing about this screams good pizza. Genuinely one of the most disappointing pizzas I’ve had in a long while. Sorry to be harsh, had it have been cheaper I’d say fair enough but the price point vs quality and size of product is so far off.

We were greeted and served by Shaun, who provided friendly excellent service and engaged with us for information re: the local hike around the lake, most helpful. Began with a good mezza plate then had Greek veg pizza, very nice. The ambiance was rather calm and not noisy, which we appreciated. Would definitely return!

I very rarely leave poor reviews and not one to complain however the takeaway pizza we had from here was truly awful. Somehow managing to be the most ludicrously expensive and worst we’ve ever had. The pizza base was worse than frozen smart price pizza, zero woodfired taste, it was like a giant water biscuit. The tomato sauce seemed to just be pure passata with no seasoning or herbs and was overwhelmingly sour. Honestly the first time we’ve not managed to finish a pizza. If your business has Pizza in the name you need to be absolutely nailing it, but sadly was a VERY expensive disappointment. Just to add no issues with the friendly service we received when collecting.

We stumbled across this lovely restaurant by chance on a day trip to Keswick . The pizzas were lovely -very thin and crispy with lots of toppings and the wine a reasonable price. Our waitress was attentive and looked after us well - we will definitely return .

Ordered and collected a pizza from here - service was fine and the staff friendly but the pizza itself I’m sorry to say was absolutely dreadful. Similar to frozen oven pizza but somehow worse? Base was like ryvita biscuit, sauce bland, and the cheese on top burnt into a thick layer. We only ordered margaritas so hard to mess that up this badly - especially a place that claims to have wood fired pizza? Garlic sauce was ok so there was that at least. Overall pizza that would make Jesus weep - save yourself the money (it’s not cheap! 16 quid a pizza!) and get in a couple of Dr Oetkers.

We ordered a number of takeaway Pizza’s one Gluten Free. I have to say no of us enjoyed them. All commented how dry they were. The crust resembled cardboard with toppings. My real disappointment is that if your prices should match the quality of food you’re selling. Our experience fell well short.

Overall meh. Pizza was fine but I'm a bit disappointed as it is a pizza restaurant. The base kind of fell apart and the sauce could've been store bought. My girlfriend enjoyed her gluten free pizza! And my friend seemed to really enjoy the spaghetti.

I expected a bit more for £13.80 than a frozen burger and freezer fries, no onion neither

Came here years ago and loved it, and a friend recently visited and said it was ‘the best pizza he’s ever eaten’, so we came back whilst on our holiday despite the hugely inflated prices on the menu. I’m comparing prices not only to my home county but also other similar restaurants in Keswick - Woodstone is a good 25% more expensive. £9.80 for a cheesy garlic bread of 5 small slices for example, and it was really nothing special. Pizzas were average at best. Very limited starters menu. No desserts offered at all. When I said I’d like to take the leftovers home in a box I was hastily given the empty box to do it myself at the table, rather than them take it to the kitchen to box for me like in every other place I’ve ever had the same situation. And only one box between 3 of us with slices left. But the biggest issue was the service. Really inattentive and didn’t come to see if our food was okay, or see if we wanted any more drinks than those offered before our starters. Pointed to our seats at the start rather than taken to them, and barely even glanced up for their personal chat as we left. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place any more. If you want a good pizza with great service, go a couple of doors along to The Square Orange instead.

We usually love this pizza restaurant but were really disappointed with the service today. We booked a week in advance and instead of the usual warm welcome we were greeted by a grumpy waiter, the first words being that he needed the table back for another booking later in the evening so we had to be quick. The food was good but the evening felt very rushed and we felt like a massive inconvenience to the staff, who clearly didn’t want us there. The food wasn’t cleared until 30 minutes after we finished eating and when we asked to see dessert menus we were only given the ice cream menu, presumably as they needed the table back within the next 10 minutes. As mentioned, the food was , but the grumpy staff and the feeling of being rushed will put us off returning again.

Delicious pizza and friendly staff. Very welcoming with children. We were looking for a restaurant and happened to overhear someone say they were going to, "the best pizza place in Keswick". After eating there ourselves we think the same.

We arrived, without a booking, at about 8:45 on a Wednesday evening. Had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table to become available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and kept apologising for the wait. When we were seated we ordered our pizzas and our liquid refreshments, and we enjoyed both. We will definitely visit again, even if we are only on a day trip!

l had lunch today with my husband an my son in Keswick branch. Oh, dear, what a disappointment! We all ordered pizza. From the first bite the dominant taste was the sour tomato sauce. pizza was unsalted, the dough was thin and crispy like a cracker, no oregano flavour. the price for this sea food 12 inches pizza is £18.50!!! I do not think the dough is freshly made on the site, feels and looks like a prebaked tortilla flat thin bread. My husband's and my sons had the same complaints. The place was clean and nice and the girl serving us was nice, but the baking guy was unfriendly and rude. l will never eat there again, sorry!

I'm on a solo trip walking in the Lakes, fancied a pizza so called in at Woodstone on the of chance of getting a single table. They were happy to fit me in, so long as I gave the table back in 45 mins. No problem as I had already checked the menu out. I got a half & half pizza of their two hottest choices. Pizza arrive in 10 mins which left me plenty of time to eat it. Lovely service and atmosphere. Pizza was super fresh and tasty.

We have been here numerous times over the years, from the price increases when they opened the Penrith branch to a level now you expect better service for the price. They used to be a cleapish eat now it is £17 for a 12" pizza. Anyway, the pizza is good but the service was lacking. I did think the numerous signs in the toilets for not vaping were a bit OTT. The kids and grandchild was fed and were happy.

We love to visit Woodstone everytime we go to Keswick ....which is a lot! We went last night and it was great, the waitress was really friendly and attentive. The food arrived i had the chicken kebab my son had the lamb one and my hubbie a pizza oh and we shared a garlic bread for a starter. Fabulous food really tasty!! We have never been disappointed. We are already booked in for August.

Party of 10 split over two tables due to pre-booking 15 minutes apart, not a problem Table of four opted for two home cooked chicken burgers and one cheeseburger and a mixed grill kebab The chicken burger advertised is Home cooked chicken burger with salad and fries and choice of sauce. What turned up was pitiful the skimpiest piece of chicken in a smaller than average bun with a piece of lettuce slice of tomato and a slice of red onion and a handful of French fries. We asked where the side salad was only told it was in the bun and have you run out of chips? Response was the salad is in the bun and the portion fries is our normal portion Cheeseburger came out as a chicken burger and had to be sent back. friend had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct order mix kebab for the Price is very shy of meat we were asked was the Meal ok ? The response was No!l The waiter replied. I’m very sorry, but because you have eaten it all there is nothing we can do. When you’ve been on the fells all day, you work up an appetite of course we had we’re all starving Other friends all ordered pizzas and again for the Price small pizzas and shy of toppings Overall overpriced and poor portions Previous night we ate at the Royal Oak and it was outstanding well presented fantastic portion size value for money exactly the same at Casabella. Italian Resturant around the corner. To the owners you need to up your game as your competition is much better, I I would advise anyone thinking of booking check out other restaurants

Good location, good decor , steak fine, staff a little strange. Convenient if you are in the centre of Keswick. Not cheap. Wouldn't rush back here.

Pizza: tastes like those frozen pizza you can get from a grocery store. Very bad. Spaghetti Bolognese: it was soggy, sour, seems like it’s been frozen for few days. Meat was so burnt, frozen chips of course. There is a girl staff who was super unfriendly, blocked the entrance to count the bills, ignored us after we payed the bill

Average at best, for £70 for 3 takeaway pizzas they were dry and didn’t taste all that fresh. Nothing wrong with it but certainly not worth the money, it was just an average takeaway pizza.

A+ pizza, end of story. Came out quick right from a real pizza oven, was very fresh, and very very tasty. Toppings to cheese to sauce ratio was spot on. Crust was delicious and crispy, we had thin crust but other styles are available. Toppings were meaty and plentiful and well distributed, not to mention you're allowed 5 different toppings on a build-your-own pie. I have to strongly recommend you give this pizza a go.

The staff were not very friendly. The girl acted like she was disgusted I asked if they had Peach gin (obvs never heard of it) the pink gin that came out was so bad I couldn't drink it. My husband made himself drink his larger. The kids portions were large (chicken nuggets) the Bolognese was a hit with my older boy (he had a grown up portion) My cannelloni was a small portion and the salad had the butt end of the lettuce as a big chunk in it. My husband's pizza was ok. Overall not great. One of my kids really liked it.

My friends and I hobbled to Woodstone in Keswick after a long day walking the Cumbria Way (not sure we could have made it much further that day!) The staff were a genuine pleasure to interact with, my pizza was exceptional (and very welcome) and the premises was clean, spacious and comfortable. Happy to say I will definitely be visiting again!

The staff were lovely and welcome! the pizza here was a top-notch and was baked inside wood-fire oven, the smell was SOO good. Various dipping sauce for the grill and the pasta was delicious as well!

We had the pasta and it was really good. Staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful and accommodating to our 3 year old making her feel welcome and giving me one of my first real stress free dinners out as a Mum.

Tried the spinach and ricotta cannelloni which was absolutely fantastic authentically cooked in the pizza oven. Nice choice of pizzas on the menu and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Keswick and it is reasonably priced. The garlic bread with tomato is superb 👌

Delicious! We enjoyed our meal here very much. We ordered garlic "bread" and cheese, more like a cheese pizza, very good. One of us had a pizza, the other cannelloni. The cannelloni was absolutely wonderful. Perfectly cooked. Pizza good, too. Nice wine list. Excellent service, very friendly.
