Called in on a busy Saturday morning on the way to Cornwall. The place was lovely. The breakfast however was disappointing. We ordered a small breakfast - £8.99 and were surprised that we had to choose bacon OR sausage (couldn't have both). Also, the egg was put on top of the toast which seemed a bit odd. We've certainly had bigger and better breakfast for that price. However, the food that was on the plate was cooked well and tasted okay.

Awful cheese scones, dry, heavy and did not taste of cheese. Most expensive scones we’ve ever had at £5.25 each, so over £22 for 3 scones & 2 black coffees! Thought perhaps they would come with pickle or something extra, but no just the scone and 2 butters

Stopped here on our way to Cornwall. It’s just off the A30, Cheriton Bishop junction. The cafe is in a lovely setting which is so much nicer than the usual service stop. We each had a bacon nap which was scrummy. Plenty of bacon in a soft bap with a Latte that matched the quality of one of the better coffee chains. The staff are friendly and welcome dogs. They have a special area where you can walk them. Our dog really appreciated the warm welcome. We liked it so much we stopped there on our way home!

Stopped here for food on our way into Cornwall. Was busy but managed to get a table. Food looked great coming out. Chap taking orders was very friendly and helpful. We had a bacon bap and a fish finger sandwich, both were hot and tasty on nice fresh bread. They had quite a few other choices as well as three specials. Dogs allowed inside and there is outdoor seating. Toilets were clean although they are in a separate building away from the cafe - wouldn’t be great if raining. Plenty of parking.

We didn't stay overnight. We had just had a very long journey and was so looking forward to a cup of coffee with a late breakfast or early lunch. The cafe was OK, but very tired and dated looking. There wasn't a warm welcome on arrival. More like, just place your order and if you haven't got a table you will have to eat outside, along with a rather blank stare. Which I red as, if you don't like it - leave! The customers sitting down were really smiley towards us, as if to say they had just had the same treatment. What really tipped us over the edge was the state of the mens loos. Disgusting! No door on the cubicle and urinals were a disgrace. And this is by a business that is food orientated. You are charging enough for food, so not excuses please! We always leap to support local, but you need to step up your game. But then, I am sure you couldn't care less about our experience anyway! Won't be returning.

Very disappointed. Needs a good clean, expecially the ladies toilets. My partner had the chowder which he said tasted good, but had very little fish in it. My cheese and tomato sandwich was OK, that's all.

Had been recommended woodleigh coach house for lunch by a family member and wasn't disappointed as food was very good and portion size was very good too. The only thing I would say to improve on is I had the chicken burger and it was simply stated as a chicken burger with BBQ sauce but came out southern fried so maybe they could say on the menu that it is southern fried, other than that fantastic place to eat, great portion size and fairly priced 😁

Great little find that we stubbled on by accident on the way to Cornwall. Lovely building and gardens, nice atmosphere and a gorgeous full English breakfast and coffees. We asked if we could put two tables together as it was very busy and the man serving said it was no problem only for one of the girls to rudely shout across the café to tell us that we had better put them back when we had finished. She definitely needs to work on her customer service skills. Apart from her attitude problem, the place was lovely.

Serves the perfect, tasty all day breakfast, and lovely homeade cakes (and other things!) Really well placed if youre driving to Cornwall, it's about 2 mins off the A30 (I just happened to see the signage around the Exeter area on the A30). Lots of parking, toilets, dog-friendly, freshly made to order homeade food.

What an amazingly lucky find this was for us! We were on our way to Cornwall and we were looking for somewhere to pull off the main road for lunch. We spotted the sign and took a chance - thank goodness we did as this will now be our default stopping point on any trip to the south west. The menu is extensive, the food is cooked fresh, sourced locally and is delicious and the lovely man behind the counter and the young serving staff are all so friendly. Prices are reasonable and there is a good sized parking area. The toilets were clean, there is both covered and uncovered outside seating and they are dog friendly. There is a disabled toilet and ramp access into the cafe but the car park is gravel so might be difficult to navigate. We will never stop at a motorway service station again when we are heading is this direction. Seriously wonderful place to break your journey.

If you are looking for refreshments on the A30, then look out for this great cafe. It's quite literally less than a minute off the A30 and has very easy access both onto and off the road. Picture perfect with good parking. A simple yet perfect menu has something for everyone, and certainly my small breakfast was cooked well and enough to keep me going with a decent Americano.

Sadly not as we remember this gem. We stopped for breakfast on our way to Exeter Airport. We have been for breakfast a number of times before as its always been a great stop on the way. However, this time we felt the service in particular wasn't the same, couple of points the eggs were hard and the staff seemed distracted an uninterested. Didn't even say thank you when we left. Sorry to say. Even though it wasn't that busy. What a shame.

Stopped in by chance on our way to Cornwall. The setting is lovely and the cafe looks really quaint and interesting, but sadly it in no way lived up to expectation. I genuinely don’t want to be unkind, but the food offering was a little more like greasy spoon, but at restaurant prices. For myself as a vegetarian the offering was limited, that’s not to say they didn’t have things like veggie sausage, but there was little to choose from, so I had scrambled egg on toast. My Husband had a brioche bun with bacon, cranberry and Brie. He felt his bacon had been deep fried it was so over cooked and the bread on mine I felt was just very cheap supermarket sliced bread. My eggs were nice, but my latte was terrible. The price was too high for what we had, so I felt a little cheated. Overall the look of the place suggested interesting food like salads, sourdough and home made cakes, the reality was a lot more canteen.

The breakfast was simply amazing, the presentation was really good and the taste was even better. Staff where really nice and would go out f their way to make sure you feel welcome . Lovely area for the dog t have a run and play. Simply amazed at the work the owners Andy family have put in to be running such a lovely cafe.

A great experience is to be found here, from the moment we walked in nothing was too much trouble, especially nice to our children, thanks. Highly recommended and ample parking too.

We have pulled off the A30 on our way to our holiday home in Cornwall on numerous occasions and used this cafe.. We remembered it probably stopped serving at 4.30 pm, so managed despite the Easter Monday holiday traffic, having traveled for nearly 6 hours to arrive at 4.27 by my watch and car automatic clock. The main sign as you leave the road said open so we drove into the car park. Plenty of customers around so all looked fine. As we got out of the car we were told it was closed as it was 4.30 by a male member of staff. I pointed out that it was not 4.30 and he said well we close 4.30ish !

We had a very nice coffee here. It is just off the A30 but is not to be in any way confused with a service station. This a big step up from a service station. On the contrary is it a very nice café - would that all stopover cafes were like this. Food looked good too.

Purely by chance we found Woodleigh House - we were due a break after three hours on the M5 avoiding M-Way service stations. Just along the A30 a few minutes drive after leaving the M-way there it is, hiding behind the Cheriton Bishop / Tedburn St. Mary turn-off. As cafe's go, this one's a winner. Welcoming staff and a good selection of sumptuous home-made specials - AND butties stuffed with delicious bacon! The tea aint bad either. This is now marked on our mental map as THE place to break a long journey - or eat if you are camped nearby.

Met family here for coffee and a snack. Very friendly staff and quick service. We had the Chowder soup which was excellent. Dog friendly so we were able to take our dog inside with us.

I also had the pleasure of paying £15 more than my friends for the pleasure which had comfortable beds - bit upset about it all!!! Food in the cafe is good

We always stay here when we visit my parents who live in the pathfinder village as the rooms are lovely and dog friendly and the staff are great. We were lucky to have the four poster room at the top of the property which had amazing views and was very quiet! We had a lovely sleep on a comfy bed!

Unexpectedly stumbled upon this friendly pub on an afternoon walk, very reasonably priced drinks and friendly service.

I am thrilled that you are getting back up and running. I've had so many relaxed and friendly hours in the cafe with friends that I am looking forward to more accompanied by a fab nut roast and side salads fit for a queen. Airy and plenty of space (unlike other cafes that cram as many in as they can) so it feels very Covid safe even without have to make big changes.

We heard The White Hart was under new ownership so we came along for midweek lunch - it was great! We were warmly greeted by a kind lady behind the bar which had lots of ale, lager & cider choices. We ordered the daily special with a drink which for £12 was great value. The Cod & Chips and Scampi were exactly what you’d expect from a country town pub grub - well worth the money. The desert of STP was also lush. We’d definitely recommend this pub for a great quality and great value midweek lunch. We’ll come back for Sunday Lunch soon.

Nice enough pub. The landlord is a bit grumpy. Cosy atmosphere with the log burner. They have different mobile take away's that park outside where you can buy your food and eat in the pub too.
