The worst Breakfast I’ve ever had cold and black pudding 2mm thick, what a rip off for £10.25 also need to update menu prices on their website, “ Disgusting’’

We were staying at a local pub on our way down to Cornwall and decided to have breakfast at the lime tree. Great menu choices, high quality food and good service. The children enjoyed being able to choose 3 cooked items to have with their toast and I loved the avocado bacon and poached egg on toast myself. Highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch on a wet day during our holiday.

My husband visited the Lime Tree this morning (he doesn't have an account to review so I'm leaving one for him). He couldn't wait to tell me how wonderful his visit was. He thought the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the customer service was beyond expectation. He didn't have food so we haven't starred that, but his coffee was good and he enjoyed it.

Warm welcome, nice atmosphere, dog friendly and they make a great flat white. Coffee lovers, this is a safe bet

Very friendly staff. Delicious food, my egg benedict was cooked to perfection 👌 rasberry chocolate cake was also really delicious. +1 point from the open kitchen, it's nice to see where you food is prepared.

I stopped here by chance when visiting the area and had a wonderful lunch. The food and cake were delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and very kind to my two small children. A fantastic spot, just wish I was more local to visit again!

Well organised staff and a very well organised menu. I started off with a coffee as im a coffee snob. Came out under 3 minutes. It was perfect and too my liking as I asked. I am vegetarian and there was plenty of choice in the menu for me. I ordered the quorn chilli. I wish I had taken a photo of it. It was absolutely delicious and the portion was perfect. I was impressed with the conveniences in the w/c just shows that every little detail has been made perfectly into this place. I spoke with the staff and they confirmed that all that I had consumed was locally sourced and chosen by the owner even my coffee which impressed me. I will definitely be coming back. 10/10 from me xXx

I found this café to be a lovely place with very friendly staff, service with a smile , décor was very nice but i was the only person there at the time, but I must say the coffee even though it was really nice was very expensive, I paid over £6 pound for a coffee and a coke crazy price's

I am not local to the area of Clumpy so thought the lime tree looked an enticing place to grab a bite. Upon entering the woman who appeared to be the owner was very standoffish especially when dealing with my request. Normally when I visit cafes in Exeter there is plenty of milk alternative options for us non dairy drinkers. When I asked for breast milk in my Black Forest latte she did not seem impressed and made me feel embarrassed in front of other customers. The usual establishments I visit do not find this an odd request and go above and beyond to accommodate me. It is 2024 how does the lime tree sleep at night knowing they exclude breast milk drinkers.

Stopped for a coffee and cake. The latte was perfect and the cake was moist and deliciously tasty. Service was excellent and the place was clean. Will go back!

I didn’t get chance to actually visit the restaurant/cafe I had been walking with my son in the town who is 2 years old I had stopped to get a coffee elsewhere when he said his legs were sore and he wanted a snack/drink the lime tree have seating outside there shop which was not being used by anybody, when I got there I sat down with my son for 5 minutes whilst he had a break from walking and waited for the bus when a staff member came out and said that we were not allowed to sit at there tables as didn’t purchase anything from the cafe. there were no signs up to say they were only for customer use nor was he taking a seat that a customer needed. I then had to make my 2 year old son stand when he just wanted a little break and got very upset. I understand these seats are now only for customers but surely we were not hurting anyone by being there I was happy to stand even being 5 months pregnant but not letting my 2 year old son to sit is not very good customer service. it makes me not want to visit this restaurant/cafe in the future.

Had the best ever poached eggs in my eggs Benedict, bacon was good quality, had an extra black pudding. Brilliant. Coffee was awesome, they use the roastworks truth coffee for decaffeinated, which is one of the best local blends. Clean and well laid out interior. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was fast. Kitchen is open so you can see staff working which I feel is reassuring in any restaurant. Definitely raised their game. Cake selection was good and they looked appetising. Highly recommended 👍. I'll be back .

Visit the lime tree often. Each time it has been lovely. I'm trying to work my way though the menu but they keep having specials and I get diverted!

Stopped off from the motorway on way down the M5 and spotted this place. Staff were great, food good and they were very accommodating to our little ones. Would recommend.

Very accommodating for a group of 8. Staff were all extremely friendly and appeared to be treated amazing by the owners. The tapas night was outstanding and I would absolutely go again.

There are some good reviews of this place, so I decided to pop in for a nutritious takeaway. This was about 2:30. First - they don’t have a ramp for the small step so that a mobility scooter can get in. The owner’s response? “Wheelchairs can manage it “. Great. A wheelchair has large wheels, a scooter has tiny wheels. How much would it cost to get a small ramp, which would only need to be 6 inches long at most? Second - the menu was visible, so I could (theoretically) order a snack and they could bring it out to me. But no: “The kitchen closes at 2”. WHAT?? How many lunch places close so early these days? I mean, would it really be so hard to make some sandwiches and bagels to sell in the cafe after the kitchen shuts? Luckily their main competitor over the road was open and accessible so I will continue to use them henceforth.

Very disappointing food. The panini I ordered had too much basil pesto ( not homemade) in it and tasted of nothing else. Quite revolting. The paper napkins that the cutlery was wrapped in were wet as if the waiter had not dried his hands or something. Overpriced and cramped table space. I won’t go again.

Visited The Lime Tree based on the Google Maps reviews and can say they are well deserved. Great tasting food and coffee, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. They were also dog friendly and gave our dog a treat while we ate.

Driving past Culm and needed food. Instead of stopping off at a faceless chain with zero atmosphere, try the Lime Tree! Absolutely stunning breakfast cooked clearly by chefs not machines. The coffee is quality and the staff amazing. I think I will plan my journeys according to their opening times. Although the place was busy waiting times were minimum. Thank y'all.

What a lovely place, well worth a visit, 2 minutes off the M5 in Cullumpton. Lovely decor, friendly staff and the food is fantastic! Everything from breakfasts, lunch and the cakes are to die for. I can't recommend highly enough

Came here for breakfast with my family. Very friendly staff and the place is beautifully decorated and has real character. Lovely atmosphere. We were quickly seated even though there were 4 adults and 3 children, they fit us in no problem. We all had English breakfasts, which were massive to the point I couldn’t eat all of mine (my husband managed it though and was stuffed!). It was very busy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was very reasonably priced. We liked it so much we went back the following day for afternoon tea and cake (the cakes are delicious with a large variety so everyone was happy). Will certainly visit again next time I’m down in Devon.

Absolutely Love this place! Food is always delicious and the staff are welcoming. The atmosphere is great and I’ve always been made to feel welcomed and they love and cater for dogs too. Definitely my favourite cafe in Devon.

Very overpriced. Charged almost £19 for a cappuccino a tea and two scones and butter. When we entered our order was taken but we weren’t shown a menu and no price of scones shown. Refused to pay and left the cafe. Was chased after and agree to pay for the drinks But refused to pay £11.90 for two scones. Cafe very over crowded. Far too many tables which made it very noisy. Certainly won’t be visiting again

Had a nice lunch with friends,friendly staff,the only downside,the tables are so close together that you can hear the people on the next table conversation,plus not enough room,between tables. It's put us off for going there again.

I was having one of 'those days' at work and my partner and I took a late lunch trip into town. We managed to secure a parking spot right outside the cafe and wondered in out of the cold to be met by friendly staff who seated us quickly. The Cafe has a cozy relaxing feel, certainly somewhere where you could have a leisurely coffee or 3 and get stuck into a good book. We were only planning on having coffee however the barista said the kitchen is now open a little later (I think until 3pm) and due to having missed lunch due to a 2 hour meeting I was glad. My partner had the Caesar salad and I had a chicken club sandwich. The food was excellent and the coffee was incredible. The staff were friendly and I will definitely be visiting again.

The lime tree is so beautifully decorated and the food quality is 10/10. Enjoyed everything and the staff were so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Will definitely be making a trip here regularly as this is such a lovely addition to cullompton, would definitely...

Lovely little coffee shop, good for a light bite or cake

My first experience of this super cafe and I will be returning very soon. A menu that had lots of variety, staff that were polite and very friendly. The venue had atmosphere and ambience not your normal cafe experience. The food was fresh and presented exquisitely even the plate of sandwiches that was sent to another table. I couldn’t fault this and a fantastic option to dine during the day in Cullompton

I discovered this place some months ago, and have been back at least once a week, sometimes more often since then. It is a lovely place where I can sit down with a coffee and read a book on a Saturday afternoon. Great coffee and loose leaf tea. I have had a chance to sample many things on the menu from the afternoon tea to the bagels, and the full English. I have yet to be disappointed, and instead I am constantly surprised by the quality of the food. Most places, when they offer scrambled egg on toast, will serve a slice of basic soggy toast with a small scoop of curdled rubber on top. But here, the toast was great, and the eggs were beyond awesome; lovely and creamy. Tried the eggs Benedict on their Christmas menu, and yet again, I was surprised at how good it was. The hollandaise sauce was perfect, the eggs poached to absolute perfection. The cakes are also worth it. No matter what you choose, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed. Finally, the service is excellent. I'm never waiting too long for anything, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. If you happen to be passing Cullompton for any reason, pop in and try it out.

Everything on for why the Lime Tree themselves in between the bullring in Cullompton do a really fantastic job on what they provide excellent food & drinks, good hospitality service & it's friendly atmosphere through the whole cafe itself.

Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely coffee. Lovely food. Very friendly and polite staff. It's hard to find somewhere to have a coffee (especially on a rainy day) but they were very welcoming of us and our four legged friend.

Really lovely light lunch. Super friendly staff which was appreciated as it was so busy. Also random note that the toilet is really nice and even has some sanitary products hidden away which I thought was fantastic. Will defo be back and spread the word!
