Woodlark Inn in Gedling

A group of us went for a lovely walk around Lambley and Lowdham then finished at Woodlark Inn. We all had a great experience, food was awesome, staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall a fantastic day out, so nice to be in a place that don't rush you to get out. Would definitely recommend and return again soon.

Brilliant country pub fir a outsider to go in and to be made feel welcome by everyone is brilliant and they have the best selection of dogs you will ever see to name a couple our Billy and Charlie and not forgetting the big golden retriever

Cosy little place specialising in sea food, but other dishes including vegan & vegetarian available. I had the cod fillet with new potatoes & greens, my spouse had the Thai fish curry, while our friends chose the vegetarian fajitas. All the dishes were of good quality ingredients, cooked beautifully & very tasty 😋.

Loved this place. Loved the service from the staff, and the food was amazing. I have the Portuguese seafood dish, and it's the best I have ever tasted 😋 I will be going there again for definite. Me and my friend was very impressed. The only downside was parking, but I would put up work that for the whole package you get at this place, which was great.

The restaurant area is quite small, and is very popular, so booking is a 'must'. The staff are warm and welcoming and the tables a reasonable size. There is a standard menu, with specials on 3 chalk boards around the room. There is plenty of choice, but fish and sea food are their forte. Everything that we ate was piping hot, plentiful, and served promptly. The portions are a good size. Their is a decent selection of wine and gins, as well as a well-stocked bar. They have a 'proper' coffee machine too. I very highly recommend The Wood Lark.

We visited during Sunday lunch service and were very impressed with the food - some of us had roasts and some for specials on the wall. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! We will definitely come again.

I ordered moules marianire it should have been cooked with chopped shallots and garlic with a decent white wine but the meal which was served to me had large rings of onions samphire and I think curry leaves and the taste was far removed from the regular taste

Visited this place, many times, and never left unhappy. The food is cooked beautifully all fresh and a good range of seafood. We have the lobster today and OMG amazing. Highly recommended.

Stop down for drinks and enjoy sitting in the outdoor area. The menu looks nice too, but I've never eaten there (yet). Nice and friendly inside too. It's a local pub, but not just for local people.

What a great meal of fish and shellfish in a very cosy village pub. Excellently cooked with friendly, welcoming staff. The microbrewery is no longer there, but they do have a superb range of beers on offer. First time there but we will definitely be going back.

We were served in the restaurant by Sian and Kaycie - both very friendly and welcoming. Loved the specials board with many seafood treats - we had mussels prawns scallops and lobster all fantastic - fresh and delicious. First visit but we will be back

WOW!!! My visit toady at The Woodlark in Lambley was second to none. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. I had the muscles as a starter which were delicious followed by the steak which was cooked to perfection with the homemade peppercorn sauce. After two amazing plates of food I couldn't resist the lemon cheesecake . Home made again and a welcome finish to an outstanding experience. Thank you so much.

My wife and I visited this after it appeared in my facebook feed normally we take Facebook with a pinch of salt! We are so pleased we visited this restaurant as the food was absolutely delicious, normally we find menus with a handful of choices that appeal but with this restaurant we will have to visit several times to work our way through the menu as everything appealed. Staff were amazing and even though it was very busy made us feel very welcomed. We’ll be back several times looking forward to the platter and a Sunday roast.

My wife & myself wanted to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary with a group of our closest family & friends - 30 plus in total. We wanted somewhere that had a fantastic reputation for its food, excellent choice of beers & wine and overall welcoming ambience. Look no further than the Woodlarke Inn @ Lambley, Elaine & Pete the hosts of the establishment provide this in abundance. From start to finish in regard to formalising the arrangements the whole process was stressless, Elaine & Pete totally understood & met with our requirements, nothing being too much trouble, the entire restaurant was give to our celebration for the evening alongside a menu & beverages to compliment the occasion. The Food - 3 x sitdown courses all of which had options for our guests to select including those with special dietary requirements, was of an exceptional standard & delivered to the tables so efficiently. Every single guest complimented us on what had been provided - praise indeed for Elaine & her Chef's. Just as importantly a special mention should also go to the young ladies who waited on the party, polite, efficient & unobtrusive, serving the food & making sure everyone was looked after, even taking orders for drinks from the bar. We must not forget to mention the excellent service given by Pete & his team who manned the bar. All in all we had a truly wonderful evening for a very special occasion due to Elaine, Pete & their "entire" team at the Woodlarke Inn Lambley - Great Job Guys & Girls & thank-you xx

I have allergies to onion garlic and apples and such have never been tempted to try Tapas but a quick conversation with Elaine (Chef and owner) and most of the dishes were adapted with the sauces in separate dishes for the rest of my party to enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the musical accompaniment made for a lovely end to our holiday ( we came straight from the airport before going home) - Thank you Elaine & team much appreciated

Food is always superb here, whether eating in the restaurant or in the comfortable covered outdoor seating area. Seafood is a must and never fails to disappoint. Also there is always a good selection of draught beers available in the bar - usually local brewers - and the staff always friendly. A definite 5 stars !

But we're only here for the fish. One look at the specials board and the choice is difficult as we could have had all of it. We decided on Starters Cornish Monkfish Goujons £9 Scallops pan fried in garlic butter £10 Mains Cod Loin pan-fried, served with German potatoes,Tenderstem Broccoli parsley sauce. £15. Desserts Orio cheesecake £7 Crème Brulee £7 The food is amazing and exceptional value for this standard of cooking. It's as good, if not better, than what comes out of any high-end kitchen in Cornwall. For fresh fish dshes at reasonable prices, there's no need to go to a fancy restaurant or high-end gastropub.

Went here for Sunday lunch. It's awesome. The food is to die for at a price you would pay double + anywhere else. Staff are top draw. Service is top draw. Atmosphere is top draw. Hence my title being "Top draw dining"
