Waited 2 hours for food after having starters about 25 minutes of waiting which was just garlic bread and nachos, surely it doesn’t take 2 hours to make 3 pizzas. Starters were great but god knows how the mains taste since we never got to try them! Ridiculous, we were unpriortised as the restaurant was fully booked and they were prioritizing the people booked in before, during and after over us. Ridiculous place and will not be coming back that’s for certain. Shameful place

Pizza dough was burnt and food arrived cold. Other than that very tasty and I would give it another chance with the hope for some improvement in the future

Awful restaurant. I had the worst burger in my life at this place.

The driver did not pay attention to the order note and parked in the wrong car park, where I had to direct him with the exact information I had put on the order note, very frustrating. when I had the pizza the char overpowered the other flavours, it was already cold, and very chewy. Generally disappointing.

Amazing service lovely food and staff and the interior was so so cute and cozy absolutely loved it. Would have expected the pizza to be tiny tiny bit bigger but the taste was worth the price would recommend if you come to Bangor 😁

As a coeliac it can be difficult to eat out, but the waitress was super accommodating and went over and beyond to make sure my food experience was not hindered by being gluten free. The pizza was delicious and the chips were extremely tasty. Highly recommend to anyone!

Nice place with a lovely atmosphere and great location. Food was lovely. The smell from cooking and nice drinks to wash it down with. Food isn't cheap but made fresh to order.

Had an amazing chimichuri steak here this evening along with the rosemary fries - highly recommend it! Our waitress was lovely and the atmosphere was really cosy with pretty lights in the windows ✨😊

Unfortunately it was very disorganised from the moment we arrived. They didn't have our booking, even though I'd had a messenger conversation with one of their staff. That said, they found us a table. Waited a fare while for someone to take our order, all the while watching pizza after pizza come off the servery burnt. When ours arrived, yes, burnt. This place has the potential to be great, just think they need to organise themselves, and sort out the pizzas.

Excellent pizzas served with a smile, WoodFiredShack has got to be one of the highlights of the high street in Bangor!

Had a vegan and gluten-free pizza, it was absolutely delicious! Huge base and so many toppings. Our waitress was very lovely and made an incredible spicy marg cocktail, I definitely recommend . Thanks!

We've been here a few times. The service has been average on most occasions. The atmosphere would be better if they played Italian music instead of what they do play. The food on the whole is pretty good. The staff are polite and if something is wrong then they rectify it quickly. I like the quirky names they have for the pizzas. I would recommend Wood fired Shack.

Lovely place overall. Very friendly lady who served us, as well as amazing atmosphere and brilliant music taste. The pizzas were incredible! We also had house wine which was a very tasty wine for a house. To add to that we had a pineapple martini which was divine! Definitely would recommend this place to others!

The waitress very kindly seated us with no reservation. She was serving on her own so was a little slow but she managed very well and it didn't bother us. The food was very yummy although the pesto tasted cheap (from a jar?), rather than freshly made. Very expensive but would visit again to try something else on the menu!

It was my second occasion to eat pizza while visiting my daughter. Unfortunately, the pizza was burnt and I couldn’t eat it. My daughter was very poorly afterwards as she decided to eat it. The staff was extremely polite and very nice atmosphere, although I won’t come back to eat there. Waste of money and time.

Pizza bases are soggy, it felt like toppings on flat bread. The drumstick chicken were burned and lacked flavor.

Loved it. They can take dogs downstairs.

Took my nephew and my two sons there today for lunch. The food was really good, my nephew(27) said it was the best pizza he has ever had. The lady that served us was great too, very friendly and attentive.

We popped in for lunch after being at Zipworld. I had the chicken pesto pizza, which was brilliant with some mouth-watering rosemary and garlic fries. My partner went for the burger in a homemade bread bun and she loved it. The food was fresh, extremely tasty and served in a clean restaurant. I’d definitely save yourself the time of looking around and visit here!

Good things: very friendly and kind service, nice looking restaurant, a good looking menu, and great that they cater for vegan and gluten free. Not so good: the pizza was soggy and the toppings were bad quality in my opinion. I tried the Italian Job and the 4 cheese option (forgot the name). The Italian had a really bad tasting salami on it. The cheesy one was supposed to have caramelised onion on it, but instead it had raw onion covered in something sweet and baked on the pizza. Someone needs to tell the chef how to caramellise onions!

Incredible meal at Wood Fired Shack this afternoon. Both pizza and fries were absolutely delicious. Service was absolutely fantastic, honestly the nicest lady I think I’ve met! We’ll definitely be back very soon! ☺️

This restaurant came recommended by my daughter and friends so whilst in Bangor last week we decided to visit here instead of the spoons. Well...fantastic. There is parking in cathedral close 100 yards away. They make fresh pizzas on a wood fire/oven. And they also do a tapas type thing and whilst the other 5 of our group tried the pizzas I had the chimmichenga steak with Herby fries and a huge plate of salad. All of us ate every crumb, even the small people ate till they burst. It is a small restaurant with an upstairs with a disabled toilet and a downstairs with further tables where we didn't go. Despite it being a midweek evening it had a steady trade and the number of take out pizzas being collected or delivered was incredible. Constant supply of pizzas going out in the 90 mins we were there. Service was fantastic. The lass doing the bar/ service and taking orders was rushed off her feet but was happy cheerful and chatty all the same. No puddings left unfortunately as they'd sold out on Saturday and the owner was creating more but that's just as well as I couldn't have eaten it anyway!! I got the impression they were crazy busy on the Saturday before. So if you are in Bangor and want a change from the spoons then this is fantastic and the food is delicious. The pizza chef is brilliant. And next time I am up in Bangor this will be our first choice of fooderie! Go...you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic new menu to accompany the pizzas - I had the beef burger which uses a unique homemade Woodfired bun and their chimchuri steak. Delicious, and great service as usual.

Really tasty pizza with inventive and funny names. Great atmosphere with a fab playlist. My only complaint is that it was pretty cold in there early January.

Great place to eat, great food and staff.... upstairs was full and we went down stairs, which was a lot quieter so atmosphere was how you want depending on which day and time you go...but it was. Very busy...so very popular.

Amazing pizzas, highly recommend

Had a lovely meal last night at WoodFiredShack with my wife (and two dogs now they’re allowed in 👍). Everything was fantastic, and very fresh. The pizza are brilliant, and desserts particularly good. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best pizzas my partner and I have ever tried (sorry dad!). We've been meaning to try this place for a long time but with Bangor high street being run down just haven't bothered, my goodness did we regret not trying this earlier. My partner is a previous chef and therefore a massive food critique- he loved it! We've tried all local pizzeria's and this beats all. I honestly cannot fathom that they aren't a chain yet and think they'd highly benefit opening another restaurant in another area. They've got nothing on Johnny Doughs! (Also I am the biggest lover of garlic mayonnaise and what the heck, a homemade garlic dip!)

Authentic pizza restaurant on Bangor High Street, serving Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. Stripped back interior with tables across two floors, and outside seating in the summer months. Cocktails and a selection of beers available to drink, with various offers during the week. I had the 'Red Hot Chilli Pepper' pizza, which was not for the faint hearted! Takeaway service also available.

A fantastic little find. Managed to fit us in on a busy night. Food amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wish we lived closer. If you are in Bangor, definitely recommend. Thank you for a delicious meal.

Wow!! This is a great find and well worth our local support. Lovely food, really nice people and a great atmosphere too. We went on spec, without booking a table, and the people fitted us in with any sort of ado. Not only is the food good but the prices were totally reasonable also. That was top quality food!

What a gem of a place. We found it totally by accident, and thank heaven we did. Gorgeous venue and the pizzas were truly amazing, so delicious, the balance of flavours perfectly. I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff were fantastic too. The waitress was so warm and welcoming and when the chef noticed me taking a photo of the wood burning pizza oven he offered to clean the glass partition and put another log in the oven. In all a totally wonderful evening. Well be back very soon.

Nice little place, with a lovely atmosphere. Nice and clean. Simple but very good menu with enough options for all. The food and drinks were fab. Lots of fresh ingredients even on the nachos. Service was very slow although I was told this would be the case as it was busy but it was the only thing that let it down.

We went out for a family meal on final night of our holiday and had a really lovely meal. The pizzas were absolutely beautiful and the fries were also lovely. Overall a very good meal in a lovely little restaurant, really friendly staff and they were also great with our two young kids.

Amazing food and service best pizza in town

I had the Living on the Veg (vegan) and it was a delight. Perhaps the best pizza I've been served in the UK. Paired wonderfully well with the local amber ale they served.

This is a little gem in Bangor. The food is just tasty, so much so I had to order a second helping of cheese nachos. Serice was excellent and the cost reasonable for such quality food.

Pizza was mediocre if I'm honest. The service from the fella on the bar was friendly and polite.

Absolutely lovely pizza, I had the Sgt Pepperoni and the pepperoni slices were the thickest I've ever seen. Service was very quick even though it was a Saturday evening. Definitely going again!

We went in with 12 of us for a stag party. Safe to say the team were amazing. The food was great, the price was great, the staff were up for messing with the stag and super friendly. It's a shame that this business isn't near where I live else I'd be there all the time. Thank you Avia and Paul for a brilliant evening 😁

Pizzas good, location cosy, Drinks too expensive. Service friendly and attentive. Poor thing knocked a lager over (bless her, I only just found out it was her second shift. She did well!) and didn't replace. (Re my original review - now edited as the owner made a fair point about other issues - that my son said it was only a tiny bit spilled. Well - the poor girl was the one who mopped it all up... Staff should have clear directive by the owner to replace whatever especially with those prices.These things do happen but gestures like this also do pay back well in regards of customer satisfaction and positive promotion. Maybe it's my European background talking here and I should just zip it. I just regard honest reviews as important in the sense of constructive criticism to help excel in these difficult times for businesses and consumers alike). All in all we had an enjoyable evening! Really gutting experience. We went to the WoodFiredShack as the menu looked delicious and the atmosphere looked great, they squeezed our table of 4 in and told us it would be about a 40 minute wait - no problem. We were sat downstairs and our drinks order was taken. The staff were really friendly and drinks came fairly quickly. We noticed 2 young girls complaining about how long their food was taking and that they’d been told “another 10 minutes” twice, but we didn’t think anything of it. We ordered our food, ordered 1 starter and a few pizzas between us for main. The 2 young girls finally had their food and were apologised to about the wait. It took an hour and 20 mins to get our starters. As soon as we finished, a family to our right had said they’d waited nearly half an hour between their starters and mains. They decided to cancel their order and walk out. I went upstairs to see what was taking so long and could see the two chefs working weren’t making pizzas and instead were shouting at each other. The waitresses blamed it on being ‘understaffed’ and we were constantly asking if there was anything else they could do for us…. After waiting 40 minutes for our main, we decided to cancel our order and walk out. 2 bottles of wine, a coke and 2 waters came to £60…there wasn’t any offer for a discount or an apology or reason for the wait. Such a shame and a disappointment

Pretty much perfect, despite being busy we were made to feel special. Great service, truly excellent pizza, some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.

Me and my so have been before and the pizza was fantastic, however the second time my margherita pizza was too tomatoey and the base was soggy rather than crisp.
