Woodfield Farm - Farmhouse Inns in Doncaster

We’ve just left after calling in here after a long journey. We caught the carvery just before it closed. The food was lovely but what stood out was the bar man and the gentlemen on the carvery. Considering they are coming to the end of their shifts they really couldn’t have been more welcoming. I would be very proud to employ such positive staff. Thank you !

Had a lovely carvery yesterday, nice atmosphere Becky was around to help, reserve me a table. Thank you to all the staff.

Had a family gathering here on a Monday tea time, 10 adults and 4 small children under 5. Only seemed to be a couple of staff around and had to find 1 to ask where our reserved table was. In the family dining area they had a film playing on the tvs which would have been fine but also music playing threw the speakers, we did ask for the tv to be turned off as no other customers there but another staff member turned it on again later. Most of the adults had carvery, for the regular carvery you got 2 small very thin pieces of meat, plenty of tates and veg to choose from but unfortunately it was not very warm at all. We had to move our empty plates to another table as staff didn't seem interested in removing them even when they bought out a pudding. Sadly not be returning.

Our recent visit to woodfield farm wasn't up to the standards that we are used to. No one came to the table asking if everything was alright, the green beans were ropey (awful) Yorkshire puddings we're soggy like cardboard! But apart from that the meal was perfect as usual.

Called in for breakfast on 7the November. Food as always (including Sunday lunch) is excellent and great value. The staff are so friendly regardless of which day you come and who is working. Can’t do enough for you.

Went for carvery Sunday for the first time in years & it was perfect.

brilliant breakfast as always, mandys customer service is always above and beyond. Daz also went out of his way to bring me some fresh bread

Decided to try the carvery today. The manager was the most unfriendly person i have meet in all my years in catering. Didn't speak or interact with customers or other members of staff and didn't help when ordering food when only one person on till and about 10 people waiting .

Fab food every time! Always good service, return weekly where possible

Went in this afternoon for food with family and friends and Megan behind the bar was great very helpful and gave a very delightful service

Food was edible at best, staff were impossible to find, glasses and cutlery looked half washed, and after ordering desserts, we had to wait 40 minutes for a sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble, and after asking for our food to be served, they gave it to us in a take-away box instead of serving it to us in a bowl. Wouldn’t bother going again even if paid to.

Was ideal place as we stayed at the holiday inn. Very pleasant staff and lovely food.

Amazing breakfast yet again, great friendly welcome by Donna and Mandy!

No bacon and eggs on arrival due to it finishing 10 minutes after arriving however both staff members (donna and mandy)went above expectations and brought out a plate of freshly cooked bacon and eggs to our table and a partial refund which they didn't need to do considering they brought of the fresh food top marks lady's

Breakfast was beautiful, Mandy and Donna were very helpful and lovely too!! Steve is a very warm and welcoming host!

Been again recently with friends for a catch up we were all impressed with the food was very tasty and plenty of it for a fab price the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Mandy who couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be visiting again.

I have had a beautifully cooked English breakfast which was great value for money and really really tasty! I would definitely recommend this place for food as I often eat here and always receive the same reception and quality of food! These ladies who were working this morning are a credit to your company and themselves!! Fantastic 😊

Had carvery meal when staying at Holiday Inn Express nearby on a Friday night. Carvery was reasonable for only £8.49. Some veg a bit overcooked. Large groups close to our table with bit too much swearing 🙄

Had carvery. The meat was almost non existent. For the money [ over £12] probably the least meat I've ever had there. Just 2 small slices

We were staying at the Holiday Inn and popped in for a quick drink. Very friendly staff, especially Paige, and a good atmosphere.

Awful food and awful experience. Took them 20 mins after food had come out to even come out with our drinks despite repeatedly asking them where they were (ordered at same time as food). Would never go back here. Terrible is an understatement.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Woodfield Farm, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide selection of meats at the carvery, all cooked to perfection. The roast beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the pork crackling was perfectly crispy. The variety of sides was impressive, from fresh vegetables to fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and everything was seasoned just right. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Mandy, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and even offering helpful recommendations. When one of our party had a dietary request, Mandy took the time to ensure it was handled with care, and she was so friendly and approachable throughout the meal. The restaurant itself had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the service from Mandy truly made it even more special. I can't recommend Woodfield Farm enough for both the quality of the food and the outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be sure to ask for Mandy when we do!

Carvery was okay the beef not too good turkey nice Yorkshire pudding rock hard ran out off parsnips and stuffing bit slow on serving the carvery had to wait around 10mins until someone came out to serve. Barmaid was very good very happy and attentive.

Had a carvery today. Very nice although veg was overcooked and meat was carved so thin you could see through it. Overall nice.

Love the breakfast here. Have a better variety than others. Berni and Emily were super friendly and couldn't be more attentive.

Yet again I'm here unable to find fault. Mains and Carvery were spot on and my family left happy. Looked after by Bex shes everywhere always looking to help. Absolute credit to the business. Love the way she always stops to make conversation with you and go the extra little mile. Makes an experience. See you again soon!

I didn't personally eat but my friend did and I tried a little and it was amazing. We go there for meetings as they have big tables and we get all the time we need. Lovely atmosphere not too loud but not too quiet either.

We went at 9am for the breakfast. The bacon, sausages were lukewarm. The fried egg had shell in. The toast had been cooked and placed under the heaters and so was very hard. Extremely disappointing. However, we did complain at the time and were offered our money back.

It's no fun being disabled, but with help from Rebecca and Helen my visit to Woodfield farm was wholly enjoyable. The food was very good and because I had had a healthy carvery, this allowed me to have a dessert without feeling guilty.

Carvery food was fine, found it a bit strange and off putting to be serving meat with the only option of vegan gravy or I should say was more like a tasteless, thick jelly, will check the next time before I order, please use beef stock or at least give the customer a choice.

I tried one of the new dishes, cauliflower wings, highly recommended. All the staff were good and helpful. Mandy went the extra mile tho and was excellent

We ordered a breakfast from toogoodtoogo this morning. When walking in we was greeted by two lovely floor staff. They greeted me and my partner and asked if they could help and we explained to collect the food even though we was 10 minutes earlier then the collection time they allowed us to collect our breakfast (which was amazing as well by the way) all the food was cooked in set ways that different people would like which is rare from pubs. Bianca was so friendly and attentive, really made our dining experience and evening 10/10 experience. She came to check if our food was okay, served our food and then told us about the Giant cakes, which she then served to me and all my friends to take home. Couldn’t wish for a better server. She deserves a bonus, slay x (Bianca, team member) thankyou for making our night so lovely x

Vegetables were cold so we had to send back. The place was crawling with flies which was very annoying as they were landing on the food and on family. Spent whole time shooing flies away

Disgusting! Place is full of flies, constantly trying to waft them away. And all staff have to say is yeah I know, there’s nothing I can do. Wants shutting down

Table 40, window seat with a fly infestation. We Spent our time flapping the air to move the flys on from landing on our food or us. It was a constant frustration. I complained to someone serving food and he said they are all over the pub and nothing they could do, but I didn’t see any flies else where , I use this pub regularly with no complaints, hope they deal with the Problem now and I can count it as a one off

Came in with my Mum who is disabled for a meal, from the moment we walked into the evenue we were greeted bye Declan who was incredibly friendly and very pilote, he looked after us for the evening and checked in with us across the course of the evening, The mixed Grill was great for the price everything was very hot and cooked well. My mum had the carvery wich she really enjoyed 👍👍 would go back it’s great value for money and one of the better chain pubs in area 👍

Food was ok was flys on the cavary meat which was a bit off putting. Disappointed they dont let dogs in any more mine had to stay in the car. Not as nice as it use to be very slow serving.

Food was average but acceptable. Service was poor and there was only one person serving at the bar. Queued for ages to buy two coffees and gave up in the end. Sat at the table with no drinks as it was impossible to attract anyone’s attention to buy more.

Great meal with the family all of us enjoyed it. Thank you to all of the staff who were involved in our experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Tables are sticky making me not want to eat my food. Servers dangling hair over food when asking how the food is and when serving food. Wasting big tables on parties of three.

Food was ok nothing special, decor is grim , way too many flies in the dining area , service is not great as no ice came in drinks and the table cleaner said she couldn’t do it we had to go to the bar ourself as we ordered on the app to table probably wouldn’t come back unless they renovated it and cleaned it

Very disappointing experience! Food was grim! 'Luxury' macaroni and cheese dish was inedible, greyish white with hardly any taste. We returned it and the staff said it was dreadful! Both, the steak pie and veggies pie had the toughest crust ever, again we could not eat it. The gravy was cold with a skin on it. Staff were lazy and unwelcoming, tables were sticky and not cleared for ages. We think it was one of the worst pub experiences we have had in over ten years. Cannot recommend and will definitely not return!

Dreadful! Food was barely edible, cool to cold. The pie I had was overbaked and the crust needed a pneumatic drill to prize it open. The dexterity with which the waitress was able to throw a bowl of ice cream onto the table without giving us a second glance was a marvel to behold as was the cirque du soleil acrobatic antics of the flies that encircled our table. Certainly an experience but not one I'll be repeating.

Staff are always pleased to see my client and I, we come each week and get a very warm welcome. Service is alway fast and with a conversation from Donna & Mandy which we both love, they go above and beyond. Lovely dining area. And tasty food. See you next week thank you ladies.

Last week I attended Woodfield farm with a friend and was welcomed by Amy she was very polite and welcoming and answered any questions we had. I had a bacon cheese burger meal and it tasted great. Then just before leaving I ordered a Marz attack cake-away and the portion sizes of this cake was amazing. I will definitely be back again soon.
