Woodfield Farm - Farmhouse Inns in Doncaster

Sunday carvery was very disappointing, meat portion size was ridiculously small it was embarrassing. The rest of the options were cold and bland. The best bit of the meal was the horseradish sauce. I'm not a Toby fan, but it's hands down better value than this.

So I come here quiet often and I went there yesterday and the service was shocking we waited a hour for plates to be taken off the table so I e could order deserts and we had to ask in numerous occasions for this to be done.. we cleaned the table to a certain degree there was bits of food on the floor from the kids but we did clean majority.. then when came to ordering the children’s ice creams and they came to the table the bowls smelt stale I actually gagged at the stench they did get sent back and they did bring fresh for all the kids. The device was just absolutely shocking yesterday I understand places like these get busy but if some of the staff was actually on family which is generally the most busy part of the place because it’s full of family’s and children then we may of not been waiting soo long for anything

Ordered on the too good to go app, had an issue & Donna was happy to resolve without hesitation. A lot of food choice & plenty available. Recently I have visited this restaurant & have been pleasantly surprised about the food quality & also the standard of service.

Extremely friendly and helpful happy service. Nothing too much trouble service with a smile. Would recommend. All you can eat breakfast was an excellent choice, plenty to choose from and a lovely Yorkshire pudding. Wish we lived closer but we are from Norfolk! Thank you. ❤️

So far not had anything to complain about here prices are fair service has been friendly and consistent if anything g is needed they've always done their best to accommodate customers needs and wants it does get busy at times food is of s good standard parking never been a problem when I've gone definitely recommend the carvery and chocolate fudge cake all be it myself id like a little bit thicker slice of meat but I'm a guy haha

I was looking for a place to train my new member of staff, as we are remote workers. I phoned and spoke to the manager, explained our situation and whether they were happy to take a 2 week booking for the same table every week day. They were pleasant and offered us everything we needed. We are nearly at our last day and we are both going to miss the staff and service, even if our order was predicable ;) Sadly, I do not know the names of all the staff, only the ones that came on the receipt. So we'd like to thank Mandy, Donna, Helen, Bernadette and Megan for the great service. You were a pleasure every day, talk about service with a smile! They really looked after us and the food we had was lovely. A special shout out to Mandy, your cheerfulness put a smile on my face every day. Thank you to everyone in the team who served us the last 2 weeks, we really appreciate it and we will be back, probably for the chicken tendies.

Visited on 13/5/25 for my birthday meal and was dissapointed with the experience. We came at 6pm and found it was shutting earlier due to staff training. This was not such an issue and cannot be helped but service we had was under par! Very long wait at the bar to be served - seemed like 1 lady serving on her own and she appeared very stressed and felt really sorry for her. When placing order the lady was very distracted and kept stopping to talk to other members of staff. As such she struggled to get our order down right. While doing our drinks she kept stopping to clean/tidy the bar!! Not ideal when you have a long queue of people waiting!! The food was delicious - that cannot be faulted . We all enjoyed it and the prices are very reasonable. The lady on the carvery was lovely. When we ordered deserts and found there were no brownies left, my mum popped back to table to quickly ask my son what else he wanted and the young girl serving me called the person waiting behind me forward so I lost my place in queue. My mum returned to bar within a couple of seconds so we werent keeping anyone waiting. Not great customer service. When we did get to order a desert it was a different lady who served us and in middle of taking our order, her colleague who was clearing tables shouted over that she should be taking someones drink order!! It appeared as though she expected her to stop serving us!! Although she then decided to help out herself. It was suppose to be a lovely night out to celebrate mg birthday and it was a let down due to the terrible service. I hope during your staff training that night that emphasis was placed on ensuring good customer service is needed as we were really disapointed with our experience

Excellent service from Andrei, very friendly and chatty. Getting us exactly what we wanted. Refreshing to see someone who enjoys their work.

Food slow being served No real ale Pudding size has reduced from a good size to so small you need a magnifying glass Staff do their own thing and are not bothered about customers

Hardly anyone in the place and still had to stand for over 5 minutes for someone to serve on the carvery. Asked twice for someone to serve us eventually someone came with no aplohogies staff totally oblivious to us, then no roast potatoes again waited ages for them. They were eventually brought to the table but pretty much finished meal by then. The food was good but service was non existent and the staff didn’t give a damn about their customers. I’m sorry we came in and spoiled there easy Sunday evening.

Ian was out server today, he was extremely helpful and a very pleasant host. The food was great, the Eton Mess divine. Thanks for great service

Congratulations on employing a world champion, 'Worlds thinnest slicer of beef'! Had carvery and the slices were so thin they were almost transparent. Yorkshire's were so tough I could barely cut them and the cauli was undercooked. Will look elsewhere in future.

Excellent value for money. Went on Sunday around 5pm and as it was a bank holiday we were glad that we booked a table as it was extremely busy. However we were tucking into our carvery less than 10 minutes later. The choice of vegetables seemed endless and we both came away very satisfied. Highly recommend it.

We were to hungry for the before picture but after a bank holiday weekend away this was definitely needed and was to beautiful to stop and take a pic, the staff were lovely and chatty couldn’t help you enough thank you James and Andrei they even gave us a box full of meat for our coco (dog) as you can see on the first picture that’ll last her all week well depending on if Lauren keeps her beak out the box, we will definitely be coming back .

Woodfield Farm pub offers a delightful carvery experience every visit! The food is always delicious, and Andrei, along with the fantastic team, provides exceptional and friendly service. It's a perfect spot for a hearty meal. Highly recommend!

We went to woodfield farm today and i beleive her name is mandy is every so polite and always tells me how polite and well mannered my daughter is too! She's such a delight ! Food was fresh and was kept topped up ! Nothing was too much for the lovely lady! Thankyou we love coming here

Took my little one for tea out. Absolutely fabulous service from Ian super friendly and made sure we were looked after. Unfortunately my daughter had a choking incident whilst eating, luckily I was calm and fast acting managing to dislodge the food a waitress called Helen saw what happened and immediately came over to ensure m daughter was okay and didn’t need further treatment, once ensuring she was okay she then turned her attention to me and made sure I was okay and not shaken up and praised me on how fast and calm I was. Brilliant pair of staff members today!

Went for the buffett breakfast with my family, everything was so good, lots of breakfast items to choose from and all nice and hot. All the staff were friendly and helpful and even gave our grand daughter an easter egg, thank you. The cakes looked amazing too.

Came on good Friday with not alot of expectations, aside is a chain pub, but everything from start to finish was amazing. It was very busy unsurprisingly as the food, price, service was A1. 1st time visiting Woodfield Farm, was a fantastic experience. Ian made us feel welcome with brilliant conversation, recommendations and a few laughs!

The establishment offers exceptional roast dinners, generous desserts, and a dedicated play area for children, making it an ideal family-friendly venue. I highly recommend it.

Called here for lunch & the woman serving us seemed stressed.We ordered 2 diet cokes before ordering our meals & the soda pump ran out.We were waiting & watching the lady testing the syphon for the new coke to come through & one of the glasses she had put ice into for us had some of the plain soda in it that she'd tested when she decided to fill it up with the new coke.I asked her if we could have a fresh one & she raised her voice saying there was nothing wrong with it(that's fine if you want a drink that is very diluted!)I said I saw you testing the soda syphon etc etc & she really rudely raised her voice telling me not to be rude.If anyone was rude it was this lady who thought she could talk to me like I was a child.I think she needs more customer skills & to not go on the defensive when caught out serving watered down drinks. We definitely will not be returning

Been here today for a Carvery and the food was really good, however having eaten I begrudge standing at the bar for 17 minutes trying to get a beer. 3 different staff walked passed me and one saying it shouldn't be long before I get served. I've post good decent reviews in the past for this pub, but today you were shocking, won't be returning anytime soon 😡

Disappointing Mother's Day Tea Experience My daughter treated me to tea for Mother's Day, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by poor customer service. Upon arrival, the receptionist struggled to find our booking and merely pointed us in the direction of our table without escorting us or offering assistance. The lack of organisation was evident in the long, single queue for both food and drinks. Having separate queues would greatly improve efficiency. To make matters worse, my daughter was ignored at the till while staff chatted, prompting us to use the app to order drinks and desserts. However, we still had to make two trips to the bar to collect our orders. Regrettably, the staff displayed a lack of customer service skills, coming across as rude and dismissive. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was the enjoyable carvery. However, the subpar service overshadowed this positive, leaving a disappointing overall experience.

First time at Farmhouse Inns and loved it, the food was good and the service was super, Ian and Amy did a great job. I highly recommend you visit for a satisfying meal at a very reasonable price.

Food was hit and miss, burger great, steak overcooked. However Ian gave excellent service and took comments on board and passes them on as he said he would.

Very good food & drinks even better service from the friendly Ian, good spirited guy & very much deserveshis pint of carling after his shift is over 👌

We love Woodfield Farm. The carvery is fabulous. Even more important is how welcoming the staff are. Our 88 year old mum is always made to feel special. They are a great team. Thank you Mandy and Donna for looking after us today and big thanks to wonderful Chef. We appreciate you all.

I bought a friend today for breakfast who has learning difficulties Donna was outstanding my friend said she made his day. The service was great food really good

Visited at 8pm after work, we knew we wouldn't get the freshest food but Woodfield farm is still a solid choice. The food is topped up throughout even at that time, Andrai topped up the Mash and Gammon as we pulled up to get served and was friendly theoughout. We was given our ticket with no queue and at the bar and was served a few seconds later. Couldn't complain at all apart from the sad looking Yorkshire pud. It's nice to see that the food is homemade too and not out of a tin, the chunky carrots and cauliflower cheese is a treat.

Lovely place with lots of parking space, the food was delicious. Bar staff were friendly and tables tidied very quickly by a very friendly Ian.
