Lovely welcome on entry, we ate a standard carvery, beef, it was delicious. All the ingredients of a fabulous roast were perfect, could not fault it, and its value for money.

Amazing place great food great customer service from megan one bar staff always down to help and always get the order spot on she going to go a long way so if u see her say thank you for the great service

Went last Sunday for a carvery, told dog not allowed! Although we've been 3x before and had a lovely carvery with our dog, in the dog section. No explanation from staff member, just no dogs.

Went for breakfast on Sunday. Great welcome from Donna and Caitlin. Breakfast was very well presented. I requested for some fresh toast and Caitlin was very helpful. Will be calling again.

Went for a carvery for the first time while visiting friends. Was welcomed by Caitlin and Donna. Went out of their way to please our group. Fast service. Carvery was lovely and served by a lovely girl Annabell. Will definitely try this place again. Thank you.

This place is poor . Food is poor and microwaved . Kids play area if that’s what you want to call it well there isn’t 1 ! A few sponges kids rides you have to pay for can’t call it a play area at all ! The seat bottom lifted up as my daughter went to pull her chair in to eat and that trapped her finger and cut it ! Absolutely disgusting! And for price as well it was terrible ! Never will be returning place wants closing down !

Came in for lunch today, I ordered the chicken combo with a rump steak and he was cooked to perfection. Mandy & Bex make your visit that bit more lovely they are so warm and welcoming. Saffron was very attentive and a fantastic waitress! Will definitely be returning 😊

In December we needed somewhere to hold a farewell for our son who had recently passed away, The Woodfield Farm had been recommended so I met with Becks, who was very sympathetic, polite and keen to assist in any way. On the day the tables were all ready for us when we arrived. Everyone said that they really enjoyed the carvery..,after the tables were cleared, Becks presented to us the pubs special three tiered lemon cake as a gift from the pub. All told the staff looked after us extremely well at a critical time. Our thanks to Becks for all her efforts. Highly recommend the Woodfield farm.

I had the carvery. I can't fault price but the quality certainly matches the price. All veg was tasteless and over cooked the roast potatoes were awfull. Meat was spot on though.

Family of 8, 3 had carvery, 2 mixed grill, 1 all day breakfast but 2 of us wanted fish and they had none should be told on entry what was not available And brownie sundays were frozen so couldnt get out bottom on glass

I visited woodfield farm was served by Megan who was very polite and helpful, Helen brought out my food and she offered us extra condiments and made sure we had everything we ordered. Bex who did the check back and made sure everything was ok with our meal. Will be visiting again

Last experience was a disaster. Management calling me a liar that they had a festive gluten free menu. Paid for a mulled wine - apparently their warmer was broken so a manager decided to steam it via the coffee machine steam wand. Looked absolutely grim like pond scum wine. I queried repeatedly why there were inconsistencies between different restaurants within the same chain (Farm House Inn / Green King). I referenced to having been at Elmwood Farms, Sheffield a week or two previously and had no issues... But they couldn't answer that and kept telling me I'm delusional and don't know what I'm talking about in regards to the menu and service. At one point while waiting for a manager I saw a member of bar staff opening a bottle of mayo with their teeth - in front of a customer at the till. So a member of dining team could take it to someone's table. A manger was stood nearby, watching, and said nothing. Ended up getting a full refund for the visit - then one of the managers came up and profusely apologised and had a recipe card for the kitchens for the meal I ordered and paid for - stating that it had never been actioned for use. Then offered to make me the same meal I paid for and ordered and was subsequently told they couldn't make in 10 minutes. I declined and left. My confidence in this restaurant is completely gone. It's sad and wholly upsetting that when you have dietary requirements and staff aren't clued up on their own menu or food preparation. Would not recommend as safe for anyone with a food intolerance or allergy.

Had food and was good. Also bought 2 cakes to take home, giant éclair and what was supposed to have been vanilla slice that turned out to have jam and cream in it instead of custard so was disappointed as was looking forward to having this 😞

This is the first time for a few years visiting due to a previous bad experience, and whilst the meal was good we tried to book for the 12th January but was told that there was no one to confirm booking so the manager would get in touch with us. No one got in touch and when we enquired to check booking after receiving an email saying that we look forward to seeing you we have been told that woodfield farm now already has a booking for 15 and therefore cannot accommodate a further 18 persons. I am very disappointed as this was for an 80th birthday so now we will now cross woodfield farm off after giving them the chance. Also your staff on the phone we very snotty and stated that the booking would have to be after 1700 and sounded as if they couldn't give a monkeys judging by the murmuring in the background from staff.

Me and my wife went in for a meal today soon as we walked in nearly every table had reserved on them at the so there was quite a few people walking in then walking straight out at the end of the day it's a walk in carvery it should be first come first served also there was a man behind the bar I don't know if he was the manager or what but he shouted really loud at one of women bar staff I'm fed up of people coming in and walking out through doing preorder meals hes right what he said but you don't talk to staff like that in front of the whole pub which was embarrassing for the women staff who he shouted at and very unprofessional when we got our meals there was no problem with the food but we've been in twice this week and a lot of the tables have got the disc with the table numbers missing sorry about the moan but as an ex manager myself if you've got a problem with your staff you pull them aside and have a quiet word In there ear i think the man who shouted at the woman personally need to go on a management course because me and my wife thought it was disgusting

Booked to go for a family meal somewhere we’ve not been for a while. We were quite disappointed. The beef was just fat/gristle throughout the middle the kids couldn’t even chew it. The broccoli was so hard my daughter couldn’t cut it. The peppercorn sauce was so peppery it wasn’t even enjoyable. The tomatoes weren’t even red. Overall for the money we spent we were disappointed and don’t think we will be visiting anytime soon.

Went for Christmas Day dinner Party of five Table decorations were very poor for Christmas Day Starters and main course excellent Desserts - three of us had picked takeaway but was given the choice of two options which two of us didn't want or like. Instead we were given a frozen bauble. We paid the same as people eating earlier so should have the same choices. What is the point of pre-ordering?? Staff were very good

It was a family group celebrating Christmas as some were working over Christmas itself. We had a good time, food was lovely, the service was good tho not very quick!

We're actually sat in here now after eating a nice carvery but noticed some observations which made me feel I needed to leave a review. It's the 3rd time I've been in here to eat and overall the food is really nice, especially the carvery. ....and their cake slices are big portions. I was watching the customers filling their plates and noticed a lady drop a piece of broccoli onto the floor, to which she proceeded to pick it up and put it onto the servery at the side of the broccoli dish. 10 minutes later, one of the staff comes along behind the counter, notices the escaping piece of broccoli and picks it up and places it back into the broccoli dish......nice! We also noticed the staff behind the carvery, picking and eating the food. A few things not acceptable to me and it brings into question the standards of food health and hygiene.

Came for a carvery on Sunday 22nd Dec 1630, unfortunately prices are higher on a Sunday then a weekday, maybe vegetables cost more money!! Whilst here witnessed what appeared to be the manager, black pink flowery top and leggings with brown hair go behind the carvery counter and pick up a piece of meat in her fingers, she then proceeded to break the meat into small pieces behind the counter whilst chatting to staff and eat it. Totally unprofessional conduct in front of customers, needs to have more awareness of hygiene. Additonaly we ordered a cake away, I asked if the Eclair was fresh cream and informed it was however I believe it is synthetic cream, had I been in the resturant I would have returned it, good job the pastry was edible🤣🤣

I found it rather a grooby place this evening. Attitude of staff towards us wasn't the customer service I'd expect. We had to prove what we'd ordered when it came to desserts. The 'cakeaway' I was given, to bring home.... is 3 days old, boxed 13th December, today is 16th. The ladies toilets were a disgrace, one with the toilet roll holder on the floor and the other with no toilet roll at all. Clearly not regularly checked.

Fetched my boys to have breakfast with Santa they’ve really enjoyed it even the little activities that were put on so thoughtful. The breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and the staff were fantastic especially Rebecca very welcoming and helpful 🎅

Shared with the family, Christmas with Santa. Really good time with family. Staff included Becky and Helen really good, friendly and helpful. However shame with so many customers that there were so few staff. From the company owners down to management, you can't run a people business without staff. But Becks and Helen couldn't do more.

What can I say other than Helen has smashed it again (not literally) but again made my visit very enjoyable, will definitely be back again.

Just stopped here for breakfast we was 1st handed a dirty plate then once we sat down to eat everything was cold or like warm at best and I ha e no idea why they don't have a make ya own toast station because what they serve is had as 🤬 and inedible. Cupa tea was nice tho

Loaded chicken strips came, expected bacon bits or something, just comes with sauce, small dry chicken strips and dry oven fries, portion size is a kids meal, no salad. No good and overpriced.

This has always been a favourite place to eat out. However, the last visit left a lot to be desired. Very understaffed, I ordered using the app, after approx 25 mins our drinks hadn't yet arrived so I called over a member of staff to ask about the drinks who said she'd "just seen them being prepared". When the food eventually arrived, it was OK, looked like it had been chucked on the plate. I could understand if the place was busy but there were plenty of empty tables. Won't be in a rush to return

Took my mom for a birthday breakfast. Awesome food. Staff were brilliant. Well worth a trip and heading back to try the carvery. Value for money and quality.

I went for the breakfast buffet. They had a great selection of breakfast items all perfectly cooked. Bacon and sausage tasted amazing, sunny side-up eggs were nicely cooked with a runny yolks. Hash browns were nice and crispy. The staff are great and helpful. Definitely will go back for the breakfast and dinner carvery too. Highly recommend!

We’ve just left after calling in here after a long journey. We caught the carvery just before it closed. The food was lovely but what stood out was the bar man and the gentlemen on the carvery. Considering they are coming to the end of their shifts they really couldn’t have been more welcoming. I would be very proud to employ such positive staff. Thank you !

Had a family gathering here on a Monday tea time, 10 adults and 4 small children under 5. Only seemed to be a couple of staff around and had to find 1 to ask where our reserved table was. In the family dining area they had a film playing on the tvs which would have been fine but also music playing threw the speakers, we did ask for the tv to be turned off as no other customers there but another staff member turned it on again later. Most of the adults had carvery, for the regular carvery you got 2 small very thin pieces of meat, plenty of tates and veg to choose from but unfortunately it was not very warm at all. We had to move our empty plates to another table as staff didn't seem interested in removing them even when they bought out a pudding. Sadly not be returning.

Our recent visit to woodfield farm wasn't up to the standards that we are used to. No one came to the table asking if everything was alright, the green beans were ropey (awful) Yorkshire puddings we're soggy like cardboard! But apart from that the meal was perfect as usual.

Great meals, we go every week for either breakfast or main meal. Mandy and Becky always cheerfull and can't help enough xx

Went for carvery Sunday for the first time in years & it was perfect.

Decided to try the carvery today. The manager was the most unfriendly person i have meet in all my years in catering. Didn't speak or interact with customers or other members of staff and didn't help when ordering food when only one person on till and about 10 people waiting .

Went in this afternoon for food with family and friends and Megan behind the bar was great very helpful and gave a very delightful service

Food was edible at best, staff were impossible to find, glasses and cutlery looked half washed, and after ordering desserts, we had to wait 40 minutes for a sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble, and after asking for our food to be served, they gave it to us in a take-away box instead of serving it to us in a bowl. Wouldn’t bother going again even if paid to.

Was ideal place as we stayed at the holiday inn. Very pleasant staff and lovely food.

No bacon and eggs on arrival due to it finishing 10 minutes after arriving however both staff members (donna and mandy)went above expectations and brought out a plate of freshly cooked bacon and eggs to our table and a partial refund which they didn't need to do considering they brought of the fresh food top marks lady's

I have had a beautifully cooked English breakfast which was great value for money and really really tasty! I would definitely recommend this place for food as I often eat here and always receive the same reception and quality of food! Had carvery meal when staying at Holiday Inn Express nearby on a Friday night. Carvery was reasonable for only £8.49. Some veg a bit overcooked. Large groups close to our table with bit too much swearing 🙄

Had carvery. The meat was almost non existent. For the money [ over £12] probably the least meat I've ever had there. Just 2 small slices

Awful food and awful experience. Took them 20 mins after food had come out to even come out with our drinks despite repeatedly asking them where they were (ordered at same time as food). Would never go back here. Terrible is an understatement.
