In my attempts to find somewhere quiet and calming I came across this lovely cafe at the side of the bus station. Lovely and clean and the owners/staff were very attentive and polite and above all not bolshy or aggressive like the management of certain cafe around the corner (Rhode Island). My mum has the early stages of dementia and I would feel very comfortable in bringing her here and know that she was going to be safe. The coffee was lovely and warm and not too strong and reasonably priced. A lovely relaxed atmosphere that made a journey into town all the better. I will definitely be back at some point to have some food as well.

I came on my own for a small breakfast after following them on Instagram for a while. I thought I would check it out. The atmosphere was so cosy and friendly it was wonderful. They really know the regulars, and it felt like a family interaction every time someone came in. The food was really good and affordable. I'll definitely come again.

Nice cafe for lunch. Good menu choice, nice atmosphere & friendly staff. Only minor drawback is having to use the bus station toilets.

I cannot recommend this place enough, it was really amazing !! We had to meet friends 1 afternoon and it was incredible! Sandwiches & cakes in a cosy setting... all very delicious! Struck up a conversation with the lovely staff only to find out they make it all on site. We also couldn't resist some funky mug designs so we bought some :D Recommend 10/10

There isn't anything that I wouldn't recommend at Woodchats. Everything is baked in house. Great selection of Vegan and or gluten free. Lovely staff.

What a truly sweet place. Visited with my two children and my sister and we all had a great experience. Kids loved the scones and my fussy sister was so impressed with the vegan menu!

Visited with my son for lunch. Lovely cafe with the friendliest of welcomes. Great to see a dedicated vegan menu with lots of choice. I had the beetroot and houmous sandwich and my son went for the vegan cheese toastie, we also shared a vegan bean roll as just couldn't resist. All was delicious, also great to see drinks sold in cans rather than plastic bottles. The cafe is clean and homely with a nice selection of gifts to browse through while waiting.

An excellent little coffee shop / cafe - I’ve been here lots of times, the food is made fresh and there is always a lovely selection of homemade cakes on offer. The coffee shop welcomes well behaved dogs so being Dog Friendly is a massive plus! The menu is very varied and they do lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes too. The Vegan brownie is excellent l!

Decided to sit at the table just outside the cafe in the bus station itself. Ordered a tea and latte. The older lady serving was bringing everything out on a tray so helped with the door. After we finished I did not want to leave the china cup and teapot on the table as being a busy bus station thought it would be better to take it inside.Took it up to the counter and all I can say is the look I received from the young cashier was something dreadful....followed by "You should have left it on the table I have nowhere to put them"....so I plunked them down on an empty table and left. Will not be going back....try to help out and get told off.....very nice. However, the tea and latte were okay.

Stopped here for a coffee. Nice cafe in a good location and everything fine except for the attitude of one of the members of staff who was not particularly friendly or helpful.

I have visited Woodchats on several occasions and have always found it to be a great little cafe. Splendid home baked goods, lovely selection of drinks, quirky/vintage decor and interesting art/crafts for sale. I'm a big fan of independent coffee shops and love the suspended coffees initiative too.So, what's not to love? Well, I have to say that there is very little cheerfulness in this little cafe. I don't expect a lot - a smile really is all that's needed....

We have visited this cafe on a number of occasions now. we have a baby and find the cafe ideal for pram access and not too noisy. A good vegan/ vegetarian offering and many products locally sourced. The cafe even does a suspended coffee programme, offering the opportunity to buy a coffee for someone less fortunate. A good place to visit for a homemade cake.

Cafe on bus interchange at chorley. Very clean and pleasant interior. Had a good choice of cakes. I only had a coffee but not the best I've had.

My mum and I enjoyed a super little afternoon tea at Woodchats. With a price tag of only £15.00 per couple, we weren't expecting it to be a very elaborate affair but we were pleasantly surprised.

Called in for a quick coffee in the middle of shopping. A bright and airy cafe next to the bus and train station so very convenient. The coffee was freshly made and all sandwiches, soups, cakes and biscuits are homemade. Such a change from mass produced food. The staff were very friendly immediately making you feel relaxed. A little gem. Will definitely go again.

Cheese Toasty with micro amount of cheese. Also the soup that was supposed to be leak and potatoe was just a boil of tasteless slush.

The food is amazing - good home made food - soups, cakes etc and very reasonable. It is well presented on china plates, teacups etc and the decor is very attractive. So if you miss your bus at the Chorley Bus Station call into Woodchats for a good cup of tea and try one of their biscuits but please do not eat them all leave some for me!

Smashing cosy cafe with traditional furniture looking more like an elegant tea room than cafe on a bus station. Tasty food and post of tea served on the best China. Just like visiting your Great Aunt.

The tea is the best tea. Perfect and served in a little tea pot and china cup and saucer. The biscuits and cakes are all made on site. You can buy homemade jam and chutneys too. The soup is lovely as are the sandwiches. Fish finger butty is great

How refreshing to have home made cookies, cakes and snacks. I am always made to feel so welcome and always see the regulars. The coffees are marvellous - barista, tea is served from China tea services which is rare these days. The cafe is wheelchair friendly, well behaved dogs are allowed and very child friendly, with crayons and pictures to colour. Spotlessly clean and will go again.

Woodchats has a great spot in the Chorley Interchange (bus station to most people) but because it's on the edge of town it probably gets overlooked unless you are going to catch a bus. As Margaret R says in her review, it's well worth going early for your bus and calling in.

I love to stop for a bite to eat at Woodchats. The interior is surprisingly quant for it's location at the Interchange. Homely traditional tables and chairs, best china tea service just like Mum and Granny's front parlour. A good selection of hot food, sandwiches and home made cakes means that you I find myself missing my bus to enjoy another pot of Earl Grey tea, read one of the complimentary magazines and chat to some of the customers. Woodchats is a rare treasure to spend time indulging yourself without spending very much. I highly recommend that you arrive early at the Interchange for your bus so you'll always have time to enjoy what this gem of a cafe has to offer. Staff are the nicest ladies you could wish to meet. I think everyone will agree with me after trying Woodchats.

Only thing I would like to see is better opening times as I’d like to take the kids straight from school at 4pm and it’s always closed! Otherwise, this place does amazing food and it’s great to be able to take the kids for a nice healthy meal. Why do some restaurants think that kids want nuggets and burgers? My kids love this place and it suits them both as one eats meat and the other is a vegetarian.
