Great food and wonderful staff. Lovely seating area outside in the sunshine. They were short staffed, which we were advised of when placing our order, but this did not effect the service received . Would recommend for lunch, breakfast or just a nice slice of cake.

This tea room is beautiful!! I've been several times with different groups, friends, family, solo and had a team meeting there too. Food is always good, menu varied with new specials regularly. They are closed regularly on a Monday and Tuesday and despite previous review, do advertise in advance when they're closed in a few ways. I can only assume previous review have never bothered to actually check opening times before attempting to visit. I highly recommend for breakfast or lunchtime, as part of friend/family group or even on your own for a bit of self-care.

Such a gem of a place! Feel so lucky to have Woodberry’s in a nearby village Farnsfield. Whatever I’ve had has been homemade and gorgeous! The brunch is delicious and all locally sourced ingredients were possible, with lovely vegan and vegetarian options too. The cakes are divine with so much choice and even delicious gluten free & vegan delights so something for everyone. Staff are friendly and happy to help with any requests. Can’t wait to visit again soon :) keep up the great work ❤️

The staff were absolutely great when we had lunch here yesterday. It was a small birthday celebration and they couldn’t do enough to make it special . The food was freshly prepared and attractively presented, with lots of choice from a varied and interesting menu, Great coffee. Mint tea served in sweet little Arabian teapots with fine china cups and saucers. There is a lovely happy buzz in this cafe, and the staff are full of smiles and humour. We all came away feeling very happy!

Visited for the first (and last) time midweek with grandparents for lunch. The waitress had an issue with listening, which seemeed an alien concept to her. We ordered beans and toast for our youngest member without butter, came with butter, no apology. The place is gorgeous but all those little details that go in to make a fantastic lunch were missing, salad dressing, salt and pepper before you have to ask (and receive it more than half way through the meal) water offererd, zero attempt at plate presentation and minuscule avacado toast portion. Disappointed and won't be back.

Visited with a friend and our children last month, staff and service were lovely. However when paying for our bill at the end of the meal our toddlers (two 2 year olds and a 1 year old) we’re messing around with the pebbles. Obviously that wasn’t ok and as we were paying we were telling them not to do it. We were met with an aggressive owner who yelled at us, and even after offering to clear the stones (some went on the patio) and apologising, we were met with more yells. I was holding my 1 year old, with my toddler next to me and was told to go before “he lost it further” with me. Although the children should not have been messing with the stones, the owners reactions were out of order and extremely intimidating for a young mother and family. When messaging privately about it later that evening we were met with more anger and mum shaming. Definitely not a place for families with children.

I went to the Tearoom for the first time last week. Tge food was very good. As we were leaving, the owner was YELLING at a young mother (a customer), because her toddlers were playing on the gravel. The young mother didn't know what to say, so the owner yelled some more. Not compassionate behaviour, by any description

We are local and have been here 4 or 5 times but on this visit we were left wondering if the management had changed and to be honest disappointed. My 8 year old son had a breakfast for £4.75 which was slopped on a plastic small baby plate, we never asked for anything on toast however his meal came out slopped on toast. Then we sent it back, as he doesn’t like this. It was then returned with beans in a pot but skimpy scraping of eggs still on top, so again he doesn’t want “on toast” couldn’t be bothered to complain again! My meal felt average and skimpy, hell it was so thin in content for the price, especially tin tomatoes which are so cheap. I got the remaining slop of the pan, well that’s how it felt! My partner had eggs royal which previously have been spot on. However this time pea shoots were wilting and the salmon was on the turn and eggs were cold! What’s going on?? . I even asked If the management had changed! Tea was really weak also, it felt like someone thought let’s cut cost and forget quality. I will say I’ve never felt this way on previous visits, where I’d give this a 4 stars maybe a 5.its a Shame don’t cut too much quality as this equals no return from customers and that’s a bad business model with big companies doing all you can eat for the same price as you childs menu that you obviously disregard on a nasty plastic plate!

We were looking for a place for lunch and came upon this fabulous cafe. There was a family group of six of us and as the weather was so sunny we sat outside. We ordered paninis and salads - all of which were really tasty, especially the Brie and bacon panini, and all had a good amount of filling. Although full, the cakes and scones looked too good to resist so we ordered a cherry scone and a piece of Victoria sponge - both were excellent, and it was one of the best scones I have ever had! We were also tempted to have ice cream as that looked delicious too! The service was perfect - friendly, welcoming and efficient. . Needless to say we will be back!

We popped in for the bank holiday, as the weather is beautiful and we were new to the area and it seemed to have good ratings. I ordered a full English and my husband had a panini. On arrival; a young girl was stood in the door and stared at us blankly and then walked off.... we walked further in and someone then greeted us a minute later and said we could sit wherever. It was fairly quiet. 1 table of 6 and 1 table of 4. We were told there was a wait on food (which was fine) it ended up about a 20min wait.Whilst waiting we ordered drinks. My fresh apple juice was room temperature and no ice offered, which was disappointing in the boiling weather. My partner also didn't get ice but his seemed cold from a bottled drink in the fridge.Whilst waiting, I noticed the female cook was eating food, whilst making customers food. It was an open plan kitchen, so you could see everything. Maybe it was her lunch time? She also wiped her nose with the back of her hand and carried on cooking without washing them, which made my stomach turn a little... maybe sweat?Food arrived, I asked for crispy bacon (pregnant and bacon fat sets off my nausea, my problem, I know) and plum tomatoes. I got vine tomatoes and white fat around the bacon. The mushrooms were bone dry too? Not sure how they're stored or cooked? But they seemed off?My husband also had to scrape his panini bread and said you could see and taste the panini machine hadn't been scraped between each use.No offer of extra drinks the whole time we were there and staff seemed young and inexperienced (having worked in restaurants/coffee shops/sales before, I would have capitalised on the fact people are probably thirsty!)Finally, the walls were dirty with oil and liquid splashes (less easy to sort) and the mirror/wall decor was dusty (easy to fix)It sounds really bad... but actually, I would return. Maybe better training for attentive staff and customer service/smiling is needed and an awareness by the cook that people can see her eating etc. But the food quality itself was good!

Don't be misled by the medium breakfast, the two hungry men in our group found it plenty big enough! The place is light and airy, with a nice feel to it. The only problem we have is choosing one!The staff are very friendly, welcoming and can't do enough for you. It's a lovely, hidden little gem, which I would recommend to everyone.

Wow... I regularly visit brambles 2-4 times a week with family and friends. I can only say one sorry 2 bad things about the place and that is that it doesn't sell alcohol n open in the evening haha. but I think then they would never get rid of me!! ☺ the staff and management are all fab, very welcoming n always have a smile on there faces I have tried most of the menu and it's all delicious. I am really looking forward to the Christmas menu can't wait to try it.

I regularly visit Brambles with both family and friends. The staff are very friendly and the cakes are A-MAZ-ING!!! I have never been anywhere that has the range of cakes that Brambles does and I can honestly say that there's not been one I've tried that I haven't liked. I can particularly recommend the cornflake tart (old school style) and the banoffee tart. All the cakes are made on the premises.Last Sunday I attended a Baby Shower which was held in their back 'adults' room and consisted of an afternoon tea. Steve and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The afternoon tea was fabulous and very reasonable at £12.95 for two people. There were 5 types of sandwiches, plain and fruited scones, and cake stands with at least 4 other types of cake to sample. There was more than enough food for everyone who attended.I would definitely recommend Brambles for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake.

Had a fantastic meal with family at the tea rooms then purchased a few nic nacs from the emporium. We went with plans for a cuppa and slice of cake. From the warm welcome we received and the fantastic service we ended up enjoyed a light lunch too. (With just the right amount of onion on my garnish). I'm always happy to support a family business who in turn support other local businesses rather than a mainstream chain. The ladies working were lovely, and the owner I met briefly were all down to earth people, the food was fresh, homemade with a good selection... if anything I struggled to decide what to have from the available options. (May have been obligated to have a take away pud too) The service we received was second to none. Reading through the other reviews it is laughable that a "human right" for free water is raised... what about the owner and staffs right to be treat with respect and not to forget the horrid person who wrote the reviews obvious lacks dignity and common courtesy to raise any concerns at the time of purchase- where they might have received a resolution to their concerns. I suppose they left it all and didn't eat any. Doubt it!

Brambles is a family favourite. The food is great value for money-especially the breakfast!! All the cakes are homemade and are delicious . Offering a take away service, you can have your food delivered! The staff are very friendly and will always greet you with a smile. Then once you've had a lovely meal you can pop next door to buy something exquisite, unique and homely to take home. Fabulous all round experience - always!!

Lovely environment, very welcoming staff. The food is okay, but more vegetarian options definitely needed. There are none on the new winter menu. Cannot fault the staff, absolutely lovely. Will not be returning as they charge for tap water?! A basic human right. Very tight indeed. Also, management seems quite rude going by the trip advisor comments. Overall, okay but very flawed, preferred Brambles under its old management. Would recommend The Lion in Farnsfield over this place, much nicer food!

Went there whilst visiting friends in the area. Nice surroundings. Scones don't taste homemade but ok. Cakes a bit bland and dry. Tap water not served free of charge which goes against the place. Staff lovely though.

My friend and I visited on a Tuesday lunch time. The menu is basic, with specials on the board and an attractive selection of cakes on display which look to be homemade.Your purchase needs to be over £10 to be able to pay by card so be aware of this. The food itself was ok bit overkill with the red onion on the salad. The pot of tea was massive for one!The welcome was ok but don't expect the staff to go overboard. There is a sign on the wall requesting that you do not ask for glasses of tap water apparently and it is stated this is to much bother for the staff!! As they don't serve alcohol they are not required to but if you don't drink hot drinks etc you might want to be aware of this.

Really like the convenience and atmosphere of the place, clean and a nice place to be. The food I think just needs raising a notch, it's the little things like the bread being the thin stuff you might get at the supermarket that goes soggy with butter, a bit of a limited menu. Good cakes, that a USP for the place just wish the main mess we're a little better quality.

Yes- I agree entirely with all the other reviewers.Lovely Coffee Shop hidden away at the far end of Farnsfield.Lovely interior, and ample seating outside.Only discovered the shop earlier this year, but now call every time we visit Rufford Park, just up the A614.Word of warning. The shop is now closed on a Sunday and Monday.

Great coffee with a lovely creme, size of cups a bit small for me, but very nice. Didn't have any food but it smelt fantastic, I hope to return soon.

Such a beautiful little coffee shop attached to a fabulous emporium. Been here many times for breakfast, lunch and cream teas, all of which have been wonderfully presented with quality produce. Homemade cakes, milk shakes, soups or omelettes have always been delicious. Well worth a visit and return visits!!!

I was looking forward to dining here as a coeliac but the service I had wasn’t exactly accompanied with a smile. The gluten free pancakes that I ordered were delicious but unfortunately they clearly were not gluten free due to the terrible reaction I had later on that day.. very disappointing. Even though I confirmed with the waitress that the pancakes were gluten free!

We were staying for 1 night after a family get together. Checking in was very easy, with a key left outside your room, so you could check in at your leisure. Rooms were gorgeously furnished, with everything you could possibly need and very clean. Really pretty flower borders just outside our bedrooms. All of us slept well in the very comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing and we felt well catered for as vegetarians. We’re looking for an excuse to come back and stay here, we had such a good stay!

Tucked away within an antiques emporium this little jewel. From entering the shop you’ll be greeted by a lovely gentleman. The food was exquisite made to order not mass produced. The taste out of this world. Skill, time and quality ingredients. We were blown away. Will definitely visit again! Worth seeking out!
