Arrived for an impromptu family evening out, and we were not felt disappointed. Ordered pizzas and garlic breads with all the chips to share between 3 and a burger for the other. All of the food was exceptional. Slight alterations to meet tastes were not an issue. Could not fault a thing

I’ve become a regular here after discovering this place is one of my locals! My family and I always enjoy the food , something on the updated menu for everyone . Lots of young staff all willing to help and make our experience a good one. it’s great to see a restaurant back on its feet after the terrible time the hospitality industry has had. Would like to mention Lily served us this week and she was so helpful and welcoming . Thanks for another lovely meal Wood Grill!

I took my wife on a Saturday Evening to celebrate our 10th anniversary for starters my wife had the goats cheese salad and I had scallops both of excellent quality, the main course, sea bass for the wife and a ribeye steak for me where also fantastic . the management offered us a bottle of prosseco which made our evening extra special. Back again for a family dinner on Tuesday 13 July as it was my daughter’s birthday, great burgers and amazing crispy chicken wings finished with the Oreo cheese cake. We are proud to call it our local .

My food was served and as I began eating, it began to try and escape! I had been served a caterpillar in my food. Hilariously we were reassured at the point of getting our bill that we won’t have to pay for the salad!If your looking for a meal with extra protein head to Wood Grill!

First family meal out after lock down friendly safe welcome as normal at the wood grill. With the family there a verity of eaters but with the woodgrill there's something for everyone from the burgers to the rack of lamb to pizzas or just sausage and mash all 100% taste and great value thanks for a lovely evening guys and girls never rushed to leave always willing to help.. The Two of us decided to have Dinner here on Wednesday night, the last day before lock down and pleased that we did, good food & service, the place was busy with great social distancing measures in place we will certainly come back in December when the lock down ends.

I had a meal here with my family a few days ago. Wood Grill did not disappoint. The restaurant was busy but really nicely spaced out tables, all the necessary covid safety measures in place yet somehow it still felt very relaxed and welcoming. There is a great selection on the menu, we all had different dishes and none of us (group of 5) disappointed. The service was impeccable, lovely people who went above and beyond to make us welcome. Special mention to Lydia who was very attentive. Needless to say, we decided not to bother using our voucher as this meal was worth every penny and very reasonably priced without money off. I can only imagine how stressful it must be to be in the hospitality business at a time like this, but we will look forward to returning to Wood Grill once the lockdown is lifted.To the person who provided the terrible review before me, I really do think it is a shame that you felt the need to do so , the day before a national lockdown. Perhaps it says more about you than the establishment.

Trying to make my mind up about which is worse. The food, the service, or the staff. Go there and chose for yourself and let me know.

Just enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch with friends at the Queen Adelaide Croydon. Meal was great and service good.A huge thank you to Mustafa who went way beyond his duties helping our friend to the car which was very much appreciated . It was my first visit but will certainly not be the last. (My fiancée has been before but many years ago)We are not quite sure where or when we came into possession of a 40% money off food offer from Wood Grill but having been left disappointed following our recent visit to our local pub/restaurant we thought we would give it a try. I am so glad we did !!From the moment you walk in through the door the staff are polite and attentive. The food was very very good. The menu has a very good selection of starters, mains and desserts. If you leave hungry then you only have yourself to blame as portions are on the large side. We both ordered the ribs which beats us both. The amount of meat on them was unbelievable !We so much enjoyed our evening that when it came to pay the bill (which was very reasonable) we decided NOT to use our voucher as the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. We could have saved around £25 but with business suffering due to the Covid-19 pandemic we felt that they deserved to be paid in full. I know in the whole scheme of things it’s a very small gesture, but we would guess that the cost of ingredients hasn’t gone down by 40% We will certainly be going back soon and would certainly recommend Wood Grill Thank You and we look forward to seeing you again soon.Ian & Tracey

My first visit to the Grill as it used to be the Queen Adelaide pub back a few years ago. Plenty of off and on road parking including their long narrow car park. I was treated to dinner last night and we three entered , used the hand cleaning lotions into an absolutely packed out restaurant. Possibly due to a vast local mail shot of discount meal flyers ? We all felt the room was over heated and stuffy, fortunately our reserved table was situated next to a window. Lovely busy, bustling atmosphere and one could be forgiven to exclaim ‘ virus ,what virus ? ‘ We all felt the service was good with attentive and polite waiting staff. I didn’t find the local bitter particularly enjoyable although one of my dining partners did, and supped 2 pints. Deciding on mains and desserts, all the food was delicious and nicely presented, however , although not paying, I did feel portions were not particularly generous , with just a few salad leaves to accompany fries and steak; I could of eaten more. Due to silly and most unnecessary 10 pm covid curfew we were gently reminded to watch the time !

Great food, atmosphere and staff bought me over a cheesecake with a candle and sang happy birthday to me, fantastic eve, well worth a visit.. Need I say more?!

We went on Friday evening, 3 adults and 1 teenager. Friendly staff, good "covid secure" measures and good food. Still very quiet compared to previous visits (pre pandemic). Starters were both types of chicken wings, a prawn and avocado salad and a flatbread; main course were a pizza, sea bass, lamb and pulled pork; desserts were creme brulee; eton mess; chocolate fondant and cheesecake. All piping hot, well presented and tasted good.

Let’s start with the good points. The venue is really nicely set out and in these COVID-19 times the attention to detail from the staff can only be commended. The service all evening was tremendous, attentive but not over barring. The negatives relate though to the food. I had the rack of ribs. A good portion size, but the meat was tough and did not come away from the bone. Desert was a strawberry sundae. Except a scoop of strawberry with some cream from a can some strawberry sauce and a single strawberry does not a sundae make. In the end a slightly underwhelming meal, but excellent service.

Visited with a friend and had a lovely evening here. The service from the staff was excellent, alongside the COVID safety measures. We had 3 courses and the food was beautifully cooked and tasted amazing! I would definitely return to this restaurant and try other dishes. Lovely restaurant!

Excellent all round eatery! Real food cooked by real chefs.I was amazed by a review by someone on bank holiday Monday 31/8/20 this was the last day partly funded by Rishi so everyone would go out to help this nations hospitality businesses.Think of the times we are in, to slate and find twichy faults in a privately owned restaurant it actually says a lot about the person reviewing it. If you are just looking for problems then you can never enjoy an evening out(sad). You just need to relax because food industry is like Art it’s not the same every time it will vary because it’s freshly cooked food served by usually people on fairly basic income supported by tips etc and supervisors will keep a balance to make sure everything is going well.I know in Cambridge city there are 3 excellent restaurants that won’t open their doors again. Restaurants work on tight budgets and most loose money Monday to Thursday and if people get put off by reviewers then we will be left with brands like Pizza Hut and Wetherspoons where it’s kind of processed food/system and no one cares about any reviews they get. If I have point to improve a business then just let the business know directly instead of damaging it. No pub or restaurant in the cambridge area does real fresh food and freindly service at this price like Woodgrill full stop...

We were a group of 5 who visited on the evening of the August Bank Holiday Monday. We were pleasantly welcomed. Covid-19 guidance was not fully observed - on arrival there were people sitting on bar stools at the bar drinking which is not allowed and while I didn't make our party's booking (when track and trace information will have been gathered), I do not think there was any recognition of the 2 households (or support bubbles) only rule. There was sanitiser available on a table at the entrance which it was suggested was used. Drinks were offered although it was disappointing there was a limited selection (no Doom Bar for one of our party, and a non existent selection of 'ales)'. We were then informed that they had sold out of the scallop starter and the Suffolk half chicken although the latter could be substituted with two breasts of chicken. I can understand some items being off the menu after a busy bank holiday service but no sorbets? To the food. starters were well presented and to a good standard but it went a little downhill with the mains:a) one of our party order a chicken breast which was dry. It certainly required either more attentive cooking (basting?) or a sauce. b) plates for the three fillet steaks were cold. If you order a steak rare or medium rare, it will lose any temperature quickly on a cold plate. c) the menu says the steaks come with 'chips' and there are 'chunky chips' mentioned in the sides menu. Instead, the steaks were served with 'skinny fries', those ubiquitous monstrosities expected at a fast food joint not to accompany a £24.50 steak. d) the salmon fillet was described as being on crushed new potatoes.... well the potato crusher had presumably been given the night off as any attempt to crush them would have alerted them to the fact the potatoes were barely cooked!By this time only two of the party ordered desserts with both selecting the 'strawberry sundae'. Now, to my mind a 'sundae' is a celebration dish in a tall serving glass with swirls of sauce, fruit and ice cream, etc. and, indeed, they were given long sundae spoons with which to eat it. Imagine the let down when the sundaes arrived in a small bowl. While I cannot fault the server who, at the conclusion of the meal, listened to my feedback' (I don't do negative reviews on TripAdvisor unless I have alerted them at the time) which I presume she will have passed on. This restaurant seems to want to be a 'destination' venue where people look forward to their visits. Until then smooth off the rough edges it will be no more than a bog standard grill and pizza place which is a pity. I will add that we were given the "eat out to help out" discount as well as the 40% discount this venue offers Monday to Thursday, and I was happy to pay the bill. I am not sure I would have been happy to pay had either of these discounts not been available.

Amazing crispy chicken wings, probably the best we tasted followed by 2 Ribeye steak that had a touch of a smokey flavour, really enjoyed it . Will be back

Arrived and seated quickly, ordered starters I have tried most things on the menu before and thought I’d try crispy squid and was as good as calamari on holiday. Burgers were delicious too and staff were very good at clearing tables, new drinks etc. One thing that I dislike are the plates that burgers are served on, very unpractical.

I attended the restaurant on a whim with a friend as it was the only one within the area still taking bookings. The original reviews for this place almost out me off, but they were very wrong!I had a starter of crispy chicken wings that were PERFECTLY cooked, followed by steak and chips which had a very good portion size and finished with a desert of Creme Brulé. The service was some of the best I've had in years! Very friendly, proffesional and prompt. We barley had to wait between courses! Will 100% be going back!

Really professional very friendly staff and superb food. They have also signed up for Rishi’s discount in Aug so we will be back. Staff masked or visored. Would have liked to see masks on others going into restaurant not least for the safety of staff. Air con was on inside so cold and tends to circulate air and bugs? Still glad to see them back open.

We were back there again recently, can't keep away! Excellent food, really good service, but one minor matter, I do wish the restaurant had a specials board. Just a thought!

Unusually poor meal , went for a nice meal with the hubby, waiter forgot to bring Menus or offer us drinks despite it being fairly quiet. Pizza was dreadful stodgy raw pizza base, wrong pizza delivered to table. We were offered another but declined as we weren’t prepared to wait and we were hungry, in hindsight wished we’d waited as the base was stodgy, doughy and raw. I was looking forward to a lovely crispy base. After a very good example of customer service from the newest member of staff we will return but I will avoid the pizza (made by an Italian chef) who possibly needs more practice

This restaurant always pleases my wife and myself. Excellent value, very friendly staff Easy to park. We went to the Ivy in Cambridge last week, I liked this better, much better.

Greeted with a smile, service was excellent, food was excellent but a lot of it ! Mind you I'm not a big eater. Throughout the service was very good, staff attentive but not overbearing. Cost was very reasonable, will eat there againThoroughly nice evening and recommended

We called in on the way Wimpole Hall for Sunday lunch. Alghough we hadnt booked we were immediately taken to a table and made to feel welcome, i had sea bass, one friend had rack of lamb, another a burger. One person had creme brulee for dessert. The food was well presented and well cooked. In addition we had 3 coffees and 2 alcoholic drinks. The bill, including a voluntary tip, was £60. This is convenient for Wimpole Hall and is open in the evening as well as lunch time

Our elderly parents were desperate for savoury (ie not coffee & cake) food after a hospital clinic visit and options in the area were few. We had eaten here on an evening a while ago and called by on the off-chance that they would be serving food at 4 PM on a Monday - they were, full menu. We were made most welcome. Staff unhesitatingly moved chairs around to suit our elderly parents and accommodated their requested menu tweaks without raising an eyebrow (whilst my wife and I cringed!). Service from the manager and his staff was superb and the food didn't disappoint either. We left feeling very full and with lovely flavours still in our mouths; no room for puddings. We will undoubtedly return and will investigate their sister restaurant soon to open in Huntingdon.

Have just enjoyed a brilliant Jersey Boys V Bee Gees Tribute Night at The Woodgrill. The food as always was delicious. The music was great and there was a brilliant atmosphere. The staff were excellent - always there but not intrusive. Would thoroughly recommend.

Visited for a Grease/ Dirty Dancing event on Thursday. Had an absolute blast. Food was amazing. All needs were catered for. Drinks were reasonably priced too.

Came here on a Saturday night. Nice chilled out atmosphere, tasteful light decor, relaxing music playing. Whole place had quite a sophisticated vibe but still felt relaxed. Wine was nicely chilled. We had stuffed flatbreads to start, which tasted so fresh. Something different and delicious. I had a fish dish which was delicious and my partner had melt in the mouth ribs. Service friendly but not obtrusive. Menu featured pizzas, burgers, ribs, steaks, some chicken dishes- but felt upscale. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Stumbled across this restaurant when searching for a near by restaurant. Hadn't heard of this place before despite living so locally, so we were slightly aprehensive but what a find! Staff were so welcoming and friendly. They made great food and wine recommendatios. We had two starters of crispy brie which was delicious and freshly cooked. The portions are very generous, we probably could have shared one. Mains followed quickly and were equally as delicious. Steak came perfectly cooked rare as I'd ordered and was great quality. The rack of lamb was also lovely. The table next to us had fresh pizzas which looked amazing! All in all a great dinner for us coming in around £45. We will definitely go back in the new year.

We popped in today on the way back from Biggleswade for lunch as we had 40% off voucher and never been before. Pleasantly surprised of how nice the place and staff are!!!! Food was just what we ordered, perfectly cooked.... we will revisit in the near future

The restuarant was busy but this didn't stop us having excellent service and good quality food. The Wood Grill has a nice cosy and comfortable atmosphere with good choices of meals.

Unfortunately I’m unable to review the food at the Wood Grill as they had messed up our booking for Saturday evening, The booking for our party of 8 was made by my son for his girlfriends birthday, she was present when the telephone call took place, not that we should need a witness!.

Hubby booked this for a midweek surprise which did not disappoint. Fantastic service from arrival, great food, good price, can definitely recommend

We have visited several times before. The last time was ok but not great. But every restaurant has a have off night.

I get that its hard work to run a restaurant, and sometimes staff will be on their first day on the job and mistakes can happen in the kitchen, so I make allowances...I don't kick up a fuss.

We visited midweek for my daughters 18th Birthday and couldn't have wished for better service or food. The staff were very friendly making a special effor to say "happy birthday" the food was of high quality and good portion sizes and the atmosphere was just right for a special family occasion.

Currently nursing a food baby after a 3 course meal. The ambiance is beautiful. Food is absolutely incredible and the staff were really friendly. Only pointer is maybe service could be faster. It felt rather slow and given how quiet it was. There isn't an excuse. But that's one tiny pointer. The food truly was amazing. Very happy and will certainly return

We came across this little gem of a place a few weeks ago and have now become regulars. The staff and service is fantastic. The food is out of this world.

Pleasant atmosphere, nice food and good value especially if you have one of their vouchers. Didn’t really enjoy the bbq pulled pork though - too much meat and not enough variety, also the catch of the day seems to always be sea bream and the soup of the day always carrot and coriander - would be good if they varied these more. Not sure why they have Greene King umbrellas out the front as it’s not a pub? Cream ones would be more attractive. The place is busy which gives it a good atmosphere although we had a very long wait for our food last week.

We had a really good evening meal here. The staff were most helpful and helpful. The surroundings were very pleasant and clean.

Another great meal enjoyed by all the age ranges! Succulent steaks, well cooked fish and great range of burgers and pizza's. Very courteous and efficient service even under pressure. We will be back very soon! Thanks for another great birthday celebration.

I have again visited the wood grill at the Queen Adelaide last night. The meal was a delight beautifully prepared and the staff always friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this venue to anyone in the South Cambridgeshire area

Just had a meal here with friends. First visit since refurbishment and what a transformation! Friendly, attentive staff. Excellent service and delicious meal. Will definitely be returning.

My wife and I decided to visit the wood grill as a last minute decision. This was our first visit to the restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. On arrival we were met by a very friendly member of staff and shown to a table . Whilst we perused the menus he made sure we had some drinks to be going on with. Once we had decided on our choices he took our order. The food arrived after a short and acceptable time. I ordered haddock and my wife had the salmon. The flavours of the food were first class and served hot.

Me and my friends love this place. Our usual spot to catch up.

Excellent meal. The fried Cornish brie was lovely and and a generous portion. Steak was cooked as I like and and although I didn't have a pudding the rest of my party cleaned their plates. Only thing that would have been nice is ice in the table water, but as that is not charged it may be too much to ask. We will go again.

Thursday evening 8 of us had an amazing evening at this gorgeous busy restaurant.. food was delicious with a service to match .. I had scallops for starters and they where Amazing.. I will say that the chocolate fondant was to die for .. I will come back just have that

My husband and I visited on the weekend, the place looks nice, modern but had no atmosphere, for a saturday night I thought it would have been busier. We decided to stay as it had been recommended by friends, we ordered our drinks and a jug of water was brought to our table (no glasses). We ordered a steak each, I had a fillet, asked for medium and my husband had a sirloin also medium. When they came they were both over cooked, chewy and tasted "off" we complained, the young waiter said "oh" and walked away to get our bill. Another waiter came to give the bill and said we have 10% off. I guess you have to be grateful for something but we won't be rereturning. Shocking service and food, the chips where nice but at £25 that's an expensive bowl of chips! It may have been slightly excusable had the restaurant been busy but at that time we were the only ones eating!

Shown to our table and asked what we would like for drinks. I ordered Doombar from the drinks menu. When it came it didn't taste right so I asked if it was Doombar, told they didn't sell Doombar anymore but had just substituted another beer without asking! I sent it back and chose one I liked. Next, during food order one of my party asked what the salad consisted of, as she is intolerant to some items, our waiter said not sure "mainly leaves" so had no idea! I ordered a 'medium' sirloin which came 'well done'and really tough, when I complained lad just said 'oh sorry'. Poor service, poor food and we obviously won't be back.

Had dinner here the other night, parking is a bit limited so you might find yourself out on the road. That said the pub restaurant is a great venue, nice bar area and a very nice restaurant area. The service this time was very good a great improvement from last time we visited. They have a very nice menu a number of selections something for everyone. Our food was all prepared fresh and tasted delicious. We will be coming back again soon. The service was very friendly and our waiter was very knowledgeable about menu items, this is always a good sign.

I love it here have been coming for year's and still enjoy it now it's changed. The food is different but tasty nice and well presented.

Popped in without booking, no problem. Service and staff are very welcoming and attentive. Smooth and quick service. The menu has good selection to suit most taste. We chose the house burger as had this in the past. Reasonable wait of about 15 minutes and when it arrived it was huge. We had chosen the sweet potato chips and got a very generous portion with our burger in a brioche bun, the side salad was nicely flavoured and not dripping in dressing. I love the mix of tastes , pickle, cheese and dressing. Will be back soon I hope. Thank you.

My Australian visitor and I had lunch here today 6.6.19. This was our second visit within a month. Food was delicious and surroundings are very pleasant. Tony the Bar Manager and other staff were very friendly. My visitor has been most impressed with the Wood Grill and it has now become a firm favourite of mine .... so much so we are returning tomorrow evening for dinner with family before he returns home.

We had a good meal with efficient service albeit the restaurant was not busy despite being a Saturday evening. We liked the clean and smart decor but a disappointing atmosphere as so few people there.

Second time here and again really enjoyed our meal, the scallops in particular where very good, followed by 2 Ribeye Steaks cooked to perfection. very good restaurant will returning very soon

Popped in for a lunch having not eaten here for years. It has changed a lot inside and is very contemporary. I had scallops and my other had had calamari to start. Both dishes were well presented, not overcooked and very tasty. For the mains it was BBQ chicken and burger. The burger, chips and salad was an extremely large portion. Meat in both dishes was beautifully cooked, moist and not dry. I will eat here again and recommend it. Very pleasant staff who were accommodating of all requests.

Great decor, good food, nice staff as long as you are not in a hurry. Took over an hour for food to arrive but have been promised quicker service next time. Will give it another chance.

This was our first visit to this restaurant but I can assure you, it will not be our last, amazing. The service was extremely friendly without being intrusive, which is a fine line. The food, venue and service warranted a more expensive fee but I am pleased to say that the prices were very reasonable. We (six of us) all loved it and we will all be going again.

Staff are fantastic and the food is absolutely delicious! Great menu for adults and children. The setting and decor is beautiful and the staff were absolutely amazing with our children (3 and 1). Would definitely recommend and we will be going back.

Four of us arrived for lunch, I asked if they did a roast and was told yes there was roast pork on the menu which I duly ordered, our party also had a ribeye steak, sea bass and bbq chicken, the steak was inedible and had to be replaced albeit five minutes after the rest of us had eaten, the roast was actually two pork loin chops which while over cooked were OK.

Had a voucher appear in the post so decided to give the woodgrill a go. We were not left disappointed.

Visiting my son and daughter inlaw we decided to visit eaterie. A lot has changed since I last visited it some 20 years ago. The layout and decor are so different, smart, clean and practical. There is a bar area, but situated that it is away from the main eating area, but still part of the restaraunt. Service was excellent, our meals cooked to perfection. I opted for a rib eye steak, so often a disappointment, but not here, it was delicious. My thick cut chips (so often cooked on the outside but not inside) quite sublime, really perfect. My wife had sea bass, again perfect, the younger element steak and salmon, perfect. The vegetables just like the meat/fish were very good. I liked everything about this place and will put it first on my list when back visiting my family. Let me finish by saying it is not an extensive menu, but I prefer that, less is more as they say. Well done Chef and thank you staff for making this a lovely evening.

We booked a table for 2, bit last minute but they were happy to take booking.

This was the first time we have been here but will definately go back. We only intended on a main but the choices were so good we had starters and sweet. Everything we ordered was of good quality, very tasty and a good portion size. The pub/restaurant had a nice relaxed feeling and we felt very comfortable. I will be reccomending this to my friends.

Visited earlier this month with some friends. The food was good and the ambience was also very good. We were served by a waiter who obviously wished that he was somewhere else. He was rather offhand and did not he extra yards. However we will go again in the belief that this was a one off, and perhaps he had lost his girlfriend.

After receiving their leaflet through the door my wife and I decided to drive out and take a look at this restaurant to see what it was like. First impressions were really good, lovely decor, furniture and atmosphere with piano playing in the background. All the food on the menu sounded nice - my wife opted for the Salmon wrapped in Parma Ham, I went for the Sea Bass with Avocado & Tomato Salsa.

Visited during a cold lunchtime in January for my daughter's twentysomething birthday. The pub was busy (always a good sign), but the service and food were excellent. Great choice of starters and mains. I highly recommend the Wood Grill and my daughter and partner agree.

We hadn't been here before but our son,daughter in law and granddaughter had eaten there lots and said the food was really great. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted from the time we walked in and all the staff were very attentive without being intrusive.The menu was extensive and they accommodated one glutton free vegetarian without any problem.We did have three courses and everything was delicious.The portions are quite large so by the time we had the desserts we were really struggling.We are really looking forward to baby minding again so we can return to the Wood Grill and it's a pity they don't have a place in Hemel Hempstead as they would make a fortune. A lovely lunch out. Ps chef the pulled bbq pork was really tasty with the French fries but what about mashed potatoes and proper gravy?

The food is fab at this pub/restaurant. The fish is really fresh and feels very healthy. Its a very cozy place but at the same time modern. We completely recommend this place.

The number of times we've rocked up and forgotten how popular this is as locals is amazing but they always sort something out for us. Lovely food, particularly for steak, posh burger or wood fired pizza oven lovers. Good kids menu and a nice ambiance.

Good food, excellent service, nice ambience and decor, would reccomend (and have) to all, a real hidden gem

It is located in a well renovated building, it is very warm and cozy inside - loved it ! The food is outstanding - tried the scallops, the grilled squash salad, lamb chops etc... Everything was awesome even the vegetables.

We are a group of 5 adults having just celebrated a birthday in this restaurant. We all feel compelled to write this review as it is very rare to find a restaurant where we have all been totally satisfied. The service was excellent; friendly, courteous and heart-felt - it was a birthday celebration and everyone came out of the kitchen to sing Happy Birthday - VERY special. The food is beautifully presented, very natural and totally delicious. A real delight. The ambiance and decoration were just perfect; complemented by the most beautiful flowers. A really special place. We will be back soon.

The pub itself has a warm and welcoming feel. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food itself is of excellent quality. I can highly recommend the chicken and steak burger. We also had dessert last night too, to which my other half said "this is the best creme bruele I've had" I can also recommend the oreo cheesecake.

We went for a family get together on Sunday lunchtime. The service was OK, but not outstanding (they forgot one drink and one side dish). The food was a little disappointing. Several steaks, cooked OK but not particularly tasty; roast dinner nothing special but the kids loved their pizza's and the veggie burger looked good.

Went to have a family meal as eldest daughter is joining the army but having told her before going To the woodgrill that the pizzas are amazing was very disappointed to find that there wasn't any left !!!!!!come on guys this is on a Wednesday night!!!

The place is lovely! The staff are amazing! The food well cooked & presented! But we so need a new menu! Its been the same for 18 months at least! Somewhere for kids to play to would be nice too!

Went for a second time which topped the first. Fantastic food, one of the best meals I have had in a while. I even asked for a specific change to my meal which I really wasn't expecting them to cater for and they did with no hesitation! Service is wonderful, very helpful and friendly. 100% recommend for the 2nd time!

Lovely looking place. We cycled here and rewarded ourselves with a couple of very tasty pizzas. Good service and nice atmosphere

Whilst the main courses were fine, we were surprised when the coffee/tea was brought up before the 3 desserts. When two of the desserts arrived (bakewell) the crusts we burnt black. When sent them back we were told all iother bakewell in the kitchen was the same. No apology, no suggestion of a bill reduction (we were not charged for them as we had sent them back).

Disappointing first visit with friends. Reasonable menu choice. Main courses nice. Steak only came with a large mixed leaf salad on the plate and a large bowl of french fries. Nothing special. Steak cooked as ordered. Would have been better to have fewer fries and something else on the plate. Not asked if we wanted any sauces or anything. No visit to the table to ask if we wanted more drinks. Dessert menu quite good. Chose Bakewell tart and ice cream. Came out burnt. Would usually send it back but ate it as I would’ve had to wait ages to get anyone to come over. No one checked that everything was ok at all. 4 different servers during the meal. Got the bill and straight away came over with the card machine even though we were still sorting payment between us. Quickest service all night! All young staff and no visible management of them. Staff training needed to ensure repeat business.

Bit hard getting a drink as staff seemed a bit disorganised. Went through for meal. Some were looked good. my steak was very ordinary. The booking had been organised so we all gave our menu requirements so was surprised when people's desert choices of Eton mess were told they had run out!!!!

Second time visiting, not quite so impressed, yes they were very busy, in fact full on a Wednesday, made a small mistake on my order, and the steaks were good but not outstanding, I would still come me back again especially for the service which was very friendly.
