Small, cozy place. Perfect for a dinner with your partner - or, get drunk with your mates. Owned by a kind and caring couple who will make you feel welcome.

Tried this place for drinks as our usual had closed early. Slightly strange atmosphere in a modern building in the centre of a housing estate, but a warm welcome from a friendly and laid-back barman.

The local village pub. The drinks are good, the food is pretty bad, but the company is always great!

Thought would be a nice pub in a village but turned out to be what looked like a refurbished council community centre. Felt very clicky and unwelcoming

Enjoyed an hour or so playing pool on what was a quiet Saturday night here. Darts available too and a quiz machine. Nice local with large separate dining area and plenty of parking. Often visited to watch the football which is always televised here.

I research here for Sunday roast. Rang them up and booked a table. Arrived and see you can have dog so big smiles. Eating area outside and place for children to play. Had table service for drinks then for food. Which all arrived in good time as they where very busy. Friendly staff and good service. Clean and tidy in appearance. The roast dinner came for my daughter and was perfect and so was our adult roast dinners. Could not fault it. Then we decided on dessert which arrived in good time and was enough to share and was very nice. We will definitely be back and with other family and friends.

Stopped off for something and chips. The pub lacks a bit of atmosphere as it is a 60's-type building. Staff are friendly and the food though simple was well cooked

Lovely local village pub, superbly hosted by Neil and Sue who have made such a difference to this pub and made it a true local venue. Your local group will be given a warm welcome whether you're having a good old booze up or just want soft beverages or tea/coffee. A pub that is now a fully fledged community facility.

I enjoy coming here to watch the football from time to time. There’s typically a good atmosphere and plenty of patrons will come and watch. There is more than one TV, so if multiple games are on, they can be split between the two. The pub offers darts and pool too.

Visited here today for Sunday Lunch on Groupon voucher. First people to arrive at 12.30 but welcomed very warmly and quickly. Food arrived quickly, hot and loads of veg and lashings of gravy. Deserts not homemade but very good. Lots of people eating when we left. Very good value on Groupon.

this is one of our locals and this village has been in danger of losing our last village pub for a few years. over the last year or so it finally looks as thought it will be 'saved' Sue and Neil have built it back up again and it is thriving. There are monthly quizzes, clubs are meeting here and the garden is a lovely space for drinkers and families alike. Sunday lunches are very generous and it is refreshing to get such a lovely choice and amount of veg, gravy and enormous yorkshires... the beer is usually very good. A recent beer festival was very popular with local live music.

We purchased a groupon voucher for Sunday lunch here. Had it not already been paid for we would have walked out. We were ignored and waited about 3 minutes before even being acknowledged. It felt almost as they were doing us a favour just seeing to us. The service - well there was hardly any! and the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. The food - the roast potatoes tasted like they had been frozen and left over from 2 nights prior, the veg was very watery and not very pleasant, the yorkshires were not homemade, the meat was passable. The deserts were bought ie not homemade either but filled the gap. The toilets did not seem like they had been properly cleaned in a while and there was a lot of dust on the cistern. Overall a very underwhelming experience. We will not be returning nor will we be recommending this venue.

We used a groupon voucher for sunday lunch so was very cheap. The landlady wasn't very friendly when we arrived. The roast potatoes were barely cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were Aunt Bessies. The pub was cold and I noticed the cutlery didn't seem very clean. The portion size was adequate however and the desert was ok although not home made. The food I'd say was below average so I'm quite glad we only paid the groupon price. We won't be returning and we don't recommend.

We decided to try a meal here from Groupon....It needs improving somewhat before I go again! Firstly the land lady seemed a little grumpy instead of welcoming..although it was probably because she was tired as she didn't get to bed till 3.30 am she announced to everyone in the pub! The restaurant was very cold, people were putting their coats back on, the cutlery was a little dirty and looked like they had just been thrown on the table, the clock was telling the wrong time and pictures were crooked! The dinner itself was ok apart from potatoes were still a little hard in the middle, but was a nice sized dinner and desert was good! In my opinion the experience was I guess what we paid for but you would have thought they may want people to return to them again...This will not be happening for me!

We had an excellent Sunday lunch here recently - hubby and I both had the roast beef - but we could have opted for roast chicken or roast pork - so we were spoilt for choice! I must say that we were impressed with the portion size when our lunch arrived, we are so used to seeing a 'picture on a plate' that - at last - a REAL SUNDAY LUNCH! The roast potatoes were excellent, the good choice of vegetables were lovely, there was a generous helping of roast beef and two, yes two Yorkshire puddings (the plates are large to accommodate all this!). More gravy was forthcoming upon request and the horseradish sauce was so good it could have been homemade (maybe it was?). The dessert was equally as impressive - I had a chocolate gateau and asked for mine to be served with ice cream - fully expecting the usual one scoop - but no - three generous scoops! Hubby had spotted dick and custard - yummy! The staff are friendly and attentive (but not too attentive). If you want a decent Sunday Lunch at a reasonable price - then look no further - you will not go hungry at The Little Rose. Thank you for a lovely lunch - we thoroughly recommend you.

A small village pub in Haslingfield. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The pub has recently become a free house and serves a decent pint of Henry's Original IPA.

Lovely pub/restaurant friendly staff but the Sunday roast was not good I had beef which was very tough roast potatoes wasn’t cooked and the fried kale didn’t go with a roast in my opinion my husband had belly pork the skin on the pork should be like cracking but is was very fatty and soft The manager was understanding and our bill was £90 we paid half £45 he said we was the only people to complain he served 200 dinner Don’t know if I’m fussy but not a good roast in my opinion

Such a quiant & olde world pub. Lovely open fire, excellent ale & warming, tasty soup & bread. Definitely going back here soon!

Menu somewhat limited but food was lovely. It was very busy and lots of people talking inside was inevitably loud; however, this was made unbearable by the rock music blasting out from the speakers. When we mentioned it to a staff member she wasn't interested. We would have stayed for cake but as it was couldn't bear the noise any longer.

Always enjoy visiting here for something to eat and drink, usually breakfast items such as a bacon and egg roll, scrambled eggs on toast. Food quality is always very good, and I think the staff there are excellent. Polite, friendly and always very helpful. Visit about two or three times a month. We have bought plants, bags of peat or compost, and I like the collection of greeting cards for sale. Always good to spend the money accumulated on the Loyalty card.
