I was at WFS earlier this month and not only thoroughly enjoyed the food but further enjoyed the service. We had the pleasure of being served by a lovely young lady called India (what a beautiful name)! She was attentive, efficient, but most importantly she always had a smile on her face! So here’s to WFS and India! 10/10 I shall be going again!!!

I think everyone could learn from wood fired smoke ! They do the best pizza, always so much variety on the menu. Also.. they have Bring Your Own Booze which is just so fun. The atmosphere is always buzzing and you always leave feeling great. The service is fab too. I think I’ve been about 10 times this year, wish I could go more!

I went there with my family Yesterday. The service was authentic ,the staff very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing . We spent a lovely evening and you must go if you fancy the best properly Italian pizza.

I made a reservation for 5 people, we showed up and they said they were behind and to “come back in 15 minutes”, so we left and came back as they told us to do and they had simply given the table away. There was no other seating, and no apology was offered. They don’t seem to know how to run a restaurant at all to be honest. Since, we’ve ordered the pizza to go and it’s average at best, the bottom of it is always a little wet. I do t understand the good reviews, I think lucky for them, Brits must not know good pizza.

Due to really bad weather, we had to change our plans which meant we were going to be passing by. Having read such positive reviews and the kids wanting pizza we opted to try here. We were not disappointed! We got 2 pizzas and a salad between the 4 of us, which was more than enough. All the food was outstanding, the ambience was great and the waitress serving us was really attentive. Would 100% recommend and will be back if in the area.

I recently visited for lunch and had a great experience. The appearance is a little rustic and you can see directly into the kitchen area where the pizzas are made. The food was great and pretty authentic to Italian pizza. If you want a deep-pan pizza or love Dominos then this might not quite be to taste but if you want as close to Italian pizza as I've come across in the area then give this a go.

The pizzas here are delicious and the range of options is very good! I would definitely recommend this for pizza lovers alike. The dough balls are especially delicious but he warned they're covered in salt so if you're not a fan of salt ask for them without as I did. They're just as delicious!

Turned up at nearly closing time (staying on Macclesfield and arrived late ) . Hotel recommended …well staff were lovely but the pizzas were fantastic , so delicious best ever .

This is an excellent pizza restaurant. The menu was quite short (always a good thing in my opinion) with a few specials on the blackboard. The pizzas were first rate. A tiramisu completed our meal nicely. Service was excellent and there was a good atmosphere in the place. It was our first visit, but we'll be back.

Rustic interior, simple menu - basically just pizza and the odd salad. Freshly cooked, classically Neapolitan - the only gripe would be the difficulty with which you know what to add for a make your own. Would happily go back.

Pizza lunch. It’s pretty much all they do. And they’ve an open kitchen and a wood fired pizza oven to do it in. The chef tells me that the oven usually operates to 450 but can be pushed to 500 when they are busy. It means the work of cooking is a matter of seconds. And it’s a perfect bit of pizza cookery – a bit of char round the edge and slightly underbaked in the middle – just as you expect from a Naples style pizza. A classic for one of us – rich tomato sauce, fior de latte and toppings of anchovies, olives, capers and a scattering of basil leaves. For the other, no tomato sauce just cheese, wild boar ragu, mixed mushrooms, Parmesan and basil. Both absolutely cracking examples of the pizza maker’s craft.

As a self proclaimed pizza geek, I am always keen to find new places that make product the Neapolitan way. I’ve travelled to Naples a number of times and have been making pizza at home for over ten years, so like to think I know my pizza, and this was fantastic. I would highly recommend if you like “real” pizza.

The duration of my visit was pleasant. The service was astronomical, credits to (I believe his name was Thomas), will be recommending. This restaurant is top notch! Properly authentic Nepalese pizza, loved it.

Arrived a little early so sat at the outdoor tables with a cup of tea. Excellent and polite waiting staff. Then sat inside near the bifold doors to still view the street - but still quiet and comfortable. Lovely staff - friendly and professional. Great food - advice on what to choose - patient and polite in explaining the products. Great with the grandchildren too - they do children's menus. Would look forward to going back again soon.

Amazing pizzas! Super generous with the toppings - so many pizza places scrimp on the toppings but I had tonnes of delicious mushrooms on my mushroom & truffle pizza. Doughballs are amazing too - huge! Love the dips, particularly the pesto one, and the chips...

My family and I ordered takeaway pizzas from here and they were excellent. I had the anchovies and olives pizza myself and they were very generous with the toppings. The chips were still nice and crispy when they arrived which is rare for a takeaway...

The Caesar Salad was nothing more than a lettuce extravaganza with salty bacon and a few dry chicken strips - no Parmesan cheese in sight. A disappointing contrast to their excellent pizzas.

The reviews/ratings were so good,maybe my expectations were too high. Pizza was cold-not necessarily the restaurant issue-maybe their pizzas just dont travel well but the fries were revolting, literally coated in salt (and I love salt) and completely inedible.Honestly, disgusting. I tried to call the restaurant just to let them know-maybe it was one off, after all you cant put right what you dont know about, but no one answered. Disappointing & will try elsewhere.

I’d recommend Wood Fire Smoke as everyone’s first choice for real Italian pizza in Wilmslow. Food is delicious, staff are very attentive and the service was amazing. Food came really quickly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. There’s even the option for vegan mozzarella (which is the only vegan cheese I’ve ever had which I’d say tastes exactly like cheese) and gluten free options. If you are unsure about whether to eat in/get a takeaway, take this as your sign to definitely do so!!!

You need to believe me when I tell you that this is the best pizza dough I have ever, ever had. And let me tell you I’ve had a fair few pizzas in my time. The dough balls. Just out of this world! They’re stuffed with mozzarella, perfectly salted and buttery, absolutely incredible. We had a pizza and a tear & share for mains which did not disappoint. Mushrooms on the pizza cooked to perfection, they were not stingy with cheese, crust was crisp on the outside soft on the inner like the perfect roast potato on a Sunday afternoon. Tear & share had plentiful toppings and was just delicious with again, perfect dough. We pushed through to dessert although we wanted to try the Nutella pizza, we’d slightly and unsurprisingly overdosed on the pizza dough, so opted for the hot cookie dough instead and wow, it was just as amazing as everything else we’d had that night. Chocolatey, hot, indulgent, and a lush vanilla ice cream melting on top. We will without a shadow of doubt be back very, very soon for more dough balls and to try the Nutella pizza!

First take-away from Wood Fire Smoke having previously eaten in. Food was just as delicious (I went for a Spianata & Nduja and shared some fries and dough balls). The fries were cooked to perfection and the dough balls were a fantastic surprise - we didn't realise they would be stuffed with mozzarella but they were amazing! Only criticism was that they said the order would take 20 minutes before it was ready but we had to wait another 20 minutes after we arrived for it all to be ready. Can't fault the food though, we will be back!!

Best pizza we’ve had in ages. We ordered supper for collection (several pizzas, dough balls and chips). We were asked to collect in 30 minutes. The pizza was brilliant - thin and crispy, good toppings, tasty and even the “crusts” were delicious (especially dipped in the dip!). Dough balls were also great. The chips were some of the best we have had. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Will definitely be back.

We have had lots of pizzas from here during lockdown - they’re the best pizzas around! Easy to order and lots of choice. The dough balls and rainbow fries are some great add-ons. Can’t wait for the resturant to reopen!

Ordered our first takeaway pizza since mid March and the pizza fromWood Fire Smoke was amazing. My partner does not choose pizza as his first take away choice but was incredibly impressed with the pizza. We had the Napoli Salami and the Garlic Bread with tomato and Mozzarella highly recommended

The best pizza i have ever eaten out of italy. Ordered from the Handforth branch, two out of four items wrong on delivery and the food was cold. Absolutely disgusting for the price.

Popped in for some lunch after watch shopping in Mark Worthington’s. After his recommendation and the reviews online we thought “can’t be bad” and boy was we not disappointed. Delicious pizza, polite staff enjoyable lunch before our drive home to Shropshire.

Small and very cosy pizzeria in Wilmslow. Probably best pizza l have ever had but each time l request less salty unfortunately my pizza comes too salty they have to sort out the way they mix Doug. I will go there again if not resolved the matter unfortunately would not go there again. You can also take your own bottle which it is a good way of saving

Overall a terrific place. Offering rustic, tasty and high quality pizza and salad. Very relaxed atmosphere, the BYO concept works well and we were very well served by Dan who was efficient and attentive throughout the meal. A very memorable evening and highly recommended for all.

There are two main things about this place: the food and the service.

We arrived. The waitress made a point of checking whether we had a reservation and then gave us the table next to the door so we assumed it was really busy. The door didn't automatically close and it was cold out there. We were frozen by the end of the meal. We were offered another table but it was too late. The restaurant was not overbooked. If you go insist on a table away from the door. We decided not to tip purely because of this. The pizza was lovely but the door needs to be closed.

We came here for a friends leaving meal and pre booked our food as were limited for time. Food was served promptly by charming super efficient Dan. Allergy requirments were catered for with no issues by Enrico

Came here after meaning to visit for a while and we absolutely loved it! Pizza was gorgeous and the basil aioli dip was as well! It’s take your own booze if you want a drink so handy the coop is down the road. Nice staff, attentive and quick service. Best of all the food hit the spot when craving pizza! Wood fire smoke undoubtedly take pride in their pizzas; the ingredients and finish are former standard. We chose this place on recommendation from a friend, who is a loyal customer and would never deflect to commercial chains such as Dominoes or Pizza Hut.

Delicious pizza cooked to perfection, very flavoursome with tasty toppings. Food and drinks both reasonably priced and plentiful. We hadn’t booked and on a Wednesday evening around 7pm the restaurant was nicely busy but the staff kindly accommodated us. I’m not local but would return if in the area. Surroundings are very pleasant and trendy.

I have been 3 times to the restaurant and had 2 takeaways from the new shop in Handforth. Cant fault them, every visit has been amazing. The doughballs are to die for and the Pizza's are the best i've tasted, so fresh and I have to get every dip when I go!

Could not have asked for a better pizza menu than this. Very tasty. Nice surroundings and attractive venue. The staff looked after us very well as we were a medium sized party. Bring your own works very well also, just don’t forget! There’s a Co-op and a Tesco express nearby.

We went with a group of 9 on a Friday night. The service was excellent , friendly and efficient. We sat on a large wooden table and could see the pizza being made in the open kitchen. We all chose different pizza and all were really excellent , nothing like pizza you get from a chain , but like pizza I have eaten in Italy . We all came out saying what an excellent meal it was . We liked BYO drinks meaning we could all have what we wanted , we also ordered tap water and this came quickly and was re filled when needed. Over all excellent pizza , fun restaurant and reasonable prices , I wish we had this restaurant near our home in London!

I'd like to thank Rick and his team for supplying catering for my 60 birthday party at my home ,the food and service was amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Recent visited with a couple of friends from work. Hadn't realised they didn't serve beer so had to have a soft drink with our pizza (we know for next time) which was fine as we popped across the road afterwards for a quick one.

I’m not. A huge pizza fan, but went with some work friends and enjoyed it so much I went back with the family. We booked for an early evening, I would say book as it is a small restaurant. The food was excellent ( the best I’ve had) & the staff were great with our little boy. He really enjoyed watching the cooks spin dough and make the pizza.

Went with my partner for dinner, the pizzas were really good, lots of choice would definitely recommend. It was just a shame the service was poor as it let the evening down. Between finishing our food and paying the bill was over half an hr of waiting, just felt like a lot of waiting around for no reason as there were a lot of staff working for the number of tables.

I love this place. Really, really, really nice pizza. Friendly staff. Great location. Affordable. Great for kids. But all of this isn't important. What is important is the garlic bread. Especially the garlic bread with rosemary and tomato. It's literally the best. Ever.

Went for lunch today. Not been before but have been meaning to go for ages.

Rude Staff. Waitress and pizza chef were rude and made derogatory comments about my fiancée's food allergy, when we asked questions about ingredients. Totally unprofessional.

The waitress was very good and attentive, the only problem for me was the pizza base. It’s only served very thick an doughy, I prefer mine to be very thin. Not sure If this is something that could be considered in the future.

We love wood fire smoke, every time they come to the Lowry markets we go for pizza, and the Wilmslow restaurant doesn’t disappoint. It’s BYOB, the pizzas are always fresh and tasty.

Took the grand children here and had an excellent time. There can be no better place in Wilmslow to have a pizza. This was a first visit and the food and staff were amazing. Foodie grandson and fussy granddaughter both loved the place. It was really nice to see groups of young (and well behaved)teenagers eating without adults. Highly recommended.
