Been in 2 weekends on the bounce now and had a nice time, first weekend we had Pizza, plenty of Beers and some good music and 2nd weekend was football and a lovely Carribean Curry that the Landlady made, she gave me enough to feed 2 people which I wasn't complaining about, it's also a dog freindly pub.

A lovely afternoon in the beer garden, celabrating a 40th birthday, Very family friendly, with games for the kids to play. The Carribean curry was lovely, great hosts, a lovely little suntrap....very clean and tidy! Looking forward to pizza next time!

It was our first time coming here, we came as a family of 6. As we arrived we was told there may be a wait, which we didn’t mind as it was a busy Friday night. As we were waiting, the very lovely couple offered a round of drinks for our wait, provided the children with some nibbles and free ice cream all on the house, they both were so friendly and very apologetic. (I didn’t even think we waited too long) The food was to die for! Well worth the small wait. Best service and food in macc by far! We will definitely be returning. If I could rate any higher I would! Thanks again for an incredible evening, beautiful food and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you both! Lovely, lovely people!! 😍🥰

Best pizza anywhere. Give it a go if you aren’t sure! The beer selection wasn’t great on the day I went. Lots of strong beer but the keg light beer made up for it 🎉🎉

Busy Friday night, delivery person very polite and apologetic, however halfway through pizza discovered long black strands of hair. Phoned the restaurant manager again very apologetic offering cash refund. Guess we won’t be ordering takeaway from them ever again

Went for a pizza and to sample the Sworn Secret on draft, but got seduced by the newly-launched APA - I was not disappointed! The pizza wasexcellent as usual, and Grant is an excellent host.

Absolutely superb establishment. Pizza is delicious and there's a great selection to pick from. Good selection of beer (especially the Happy Valley stuff they make themselves) and cocktails. The staff and service are excellent and the pub itself is really comfortable and welcoming. Best place in macclesfield for beer and pizza. Would highly recommend the Hoppiness.

We've eaten here a few times the atmosphere is very welcoming and they go out of there way for you and the pizzas are just amazing iv never been a pizza lover and iv been converted 😂 . The home brewed IPA is so nice and the gin they distil is definitely worth a try if your a gin lover . Great offers when eating in too definitely recommend giving them a visit this is now one of my top 5 places to eat xx

Grant was pleasant, friendly and very accommodating and the margherita pizza we had were absolutely delicious. Why have I never been before!?

Excellent pizza! Ordered online and arrived within 25 minutes. Very tasty pizza one of the best pizzas I have tried in Macclesfield. Also a free gift! Only just tried this place and will be returning for sure. Would recommend excellent food and excellent service. Thank you! Also a 5*** food hygiene rating

First time visit for me and 13 yr old DD today with hubby who's been several times before. Had a lovely meal; dough balls, Pizzas x 3, cheesecake x 2- one vegan which hubby said was delicious. Great selection of beers on offer. Charlotte Day performing live - lovely voice. Owner really welcoming to everyone, place has a great atmosphere and good eclectic music selection as well. Really enjoyed. Definitely visit again.

Gluten free specific review. Used to be absolutely fantastic however, now gluten free folk get a half sized disappointment pizza and the pleasure of paying extra for less!!! Come on guys. Your gluten free pizza is now truly terrible.

The whole experience here was fantastic. The pizza was phenomenal and the beers (from their own brewery) were immense. Definitely recommend dining in as it's a very friendly atmosphere and the staff are really cheerful and helpful. I'll be going back.

Eaten in this place a few times pre pandemic and was always happy, however more recently ordered a pizza and a side home and was disappointed. I ordered the BBQ pizza however it was mostly tomato based and also cold, and the chips and cheese was oven fries which were undercooked and the cheese tasted cheap, after good food in the past I was a bit disappointed with the food, especially for the price it costs, there are currently far better places nearby for a pizza..

We ordered a pizza on friday night for myself and my partner as it was recommended by a friend. The pizza was pulled pork and pineapple, there was plenty of cheese but very little pulled pork, you couldnt really see it. We also had a portion of chips and some jalapeno bites which were nice. We did try it again another night as the children wanted to try it so we tried so we gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried the bbq, which didnt really have any meat on again and the children had the works, my son said the pizza only had 2 pieces of pepperoni and couldnt see any other meat and the 2 portions of fries put together I could have held in 1 hand, the amount was that small it was comical and at £2.50 a portion was ridiculous! Such a shame because the pizza is really well cooked and tasty if what your after is a margarita.

We were here to benefit from the Eat our to help out Scheme. Having ordered Takeout from here before, we knew the pizza was going to be good. This time we ordered three pizzas: the French Kiss, Silk, The Blue 73- would especially recommend Silk! The food was amazing, thin crust pizza with topping all over, leaving no plain crust on the sides. The service was great and attentive, making sure everything is to your satisfaction. The place is more like a pub rather than a restaurant, with a lovely relaxed but lively atmosphere. After our exceptional meal, we went to the side room to play pool and darts and it felt pretty private. It’s a great place, would totally recommend for a relaxed night out!

Tentatively tried this restaurant again after a previous horrific experience a few years ago! Went in to collect my order! Was very refreshing to see a professional chef in situ. This was reflected in the quality of the food! Generous with toppings, authentic and tasty! Very impressed we will defiantly return and recommend. The chef Matthew was confident friendly and very helpful when giving recommendations! A huge improvement!

Just had the most fantastic pizzas! Lovely thin base which we believe is prepared from scratch. Perfectly cooked and delivered promptly. The new chef Matt lives up to his reputation as a fantastic pizza chef! No half measures! Also my husband appreciated the draft real ale delivered with the order! Highly recommended!

Ordered pizza for delivery, when it finally arrived we opened the boxes to find the pizza all slumped on top of itself in the corner of the box (both pizzas). Straightened them out but it was clear they were soggy. Base was quite thin then overloaded with sauce. I had ordered the blue cheese pizza but if there was any blue cheese on it then it was very well hidden, couldn’t taste any. Not ordering from them again, would have preferred a frozen one.

Amazing food! Had such a lovely experience, we ordered via Uber Eats and the app failed us meaning there were no drivers available to pick up our order - thankfully the 73 & Pizza staff delivered it for us, re-made our food so it wasn't spoiled and delivered us a free garlic bread despite the order issues being nothing to do with them directly! Great food, great people - will 1000% be ordering again (Note to buyers: go directly through them instead of via an app)

Having been asked by friends to meet for food we decided on 73 and pizza for ease of location . On approaching the venue on foot I was shocked at the total lack of care and pride taken in looking after the exterior of this place , abandoned empty bottles , cigarette butts and a disused ton sandbag ( that has taken on a piece of clothing and an empty bottle ) litter the exterior of this establishment. A quick brush round each day and a bleach once a week would certainly help first impressions. Had one drink and left as the exterior state certainly put me off eating here !!!!!!

Had football on and decent beer, haven't tried the pizza yet that's for next time!

As well as offering some of the nicest pizzas in Macclesfield, 73andPizza/The Oxford is a great place to go and watch the football. If you're lucky a very pleasant young girl Jenny will be working who will not only serve you a drink but give you a good laugh to make your experience all the more memorable. Very high standard of Ale as they have an onsite microbrewery, as well as this there is a great choice of lager & cider. Great place highly recommend.

Came here with my Girlfriend ordered the “pollo macco” and the “queens”. Best pizza I’ve tasted in a long time better than some of the big chains 10/10 by far

Fab beers tasty pizzas it's all u need in life

We popped in for lunch today as we have had pizzas delivered from here before which were quite nice.However the food we got was nothing like it. My hundband had the Queens and I choose the Silk. Both came mothered in cheese! Didn't even seem to be mozzarella just some nasty cheap cheese. For a place that claims to be passionate about pizza this was quite awful.I force a few sliced down as I was really hungry after 25 minutes, even though there was no one else eating in the pub, just a couple of guys drinking a the bar.Overall a very disappointing experience. We definitely won't come back again.To be honest we could have had a pizza for a fraction of the price from any supermarket and it would have tasted better.

Been in tonight to pick my pizza up, very friendly guy behind the bar, ordered and waited. Chef brought pizza out and it smelt amazing. When at home we tried the pizza and garlic bread and it was like the pizza you have on holidays absolutely amazing, will 100% be going to be going there from now on. Keep up the good work guys, every one should go here or get it delivered, you won't be disappointed.

La masa era más delgada que un cracker, de hecho no creo 'dbien' es incluso la palabra para describirlo. El único sabor que me podía sentir era el salado de las coberturas. No había nada remotamente italiano sobre él (aunque no sé si ellos mismos mercado como de inspiración italiana, dado el menú con pizza de piña y ofertas especiales como pizza al curry, pero como dice una crítica anterior era tan italiana. . . No creo que esa persona ha visto Italia incluso en un mapa. . . ). La única comparación que vienen a mi mente era Pizza Tesco. Sinceramente, es una vergüenza que la gente todavía "pizza" como que en este día y edad cuando puedes encontrar algunos buenos en otros lugares. A veces, puedo aceptar que no es auténtico, pero hay algo bueno sobre él si piensa que no es pizza pero algo más, pero esto fue simplemente terrible.

We had a home delivery from here. Food arrived in brilliant time. I had the goats cheese and red onion chutney pizza. It was truly delicious. Would definitely recommend. The pizza were one authentic Italian base, the toppings were generous, and it was all tasty!!

We ordered pizza take-out on Monday and got 2 for the price of 1. The pizzas are really good quality and authentic. The base is lovely and thin and lots of toppings. The best pizzas around and will definitely go back.

Great offers on different days at this pub / pizza restaurant. Newly refurbished so it's nice inside. Friendly service. The pizza was really good. Knocks the usual takeaway pizzas and Pizza Express into the dirt. Great beer selection as well.
