Wood Fire Smoke in Cheshire East

Great service and lovely food, we will definitely be back!!! The service was fast and the food was top notch! Great atmosphere!

I was filming in Macclesfield between the 5th and 7th of March I asked the receptionist where I could get nice food and they pointed me in the direction of Wood Fire Smoke I've been in pizza pilgrims and pizza express in London which are top notch pizzas' But Wood Fire Smoke blows the aforementioned out of the water for Pizza by a country mile. Pizza Pilgrims is really good as is Pizza Express but I honestly have never tasted a better Pizza than Wood Fire Smoke in Macclesfield And they're cheaper by the same country mile. I don't actually know how many Wood Fire Smoke Pizza Houses there is' But i wish they'd open up in Scotland.

We thought to check this place after seeing it on Facebook with friends. The prices were terrible £2.60 for a can of coke? A service charge on top aswell? This doesn’t make you want to come back. They also do not tell you they don’t take cash!!. The pizza I had was soggy . We were left very unimpressed. The staff were not very accommodating and didn’t seem to care or give great service. Probably the worst restaurant I have been. I don’t normally like to write these reviews but it had to be done

We came in and was allocated a table for only half an hour. They took 20 minutes to serve our drinks,(£2,60 for a 330ml of Coca Cola) I had the Napoli pizza. The base was paper thin and the Toppings were wet. (This was £12,50) We finished our meal and came to pay. In my bill was a hidden 10% service tip fee. They didn’t take cash, however only if I didn’t receive change. I ended up paying £40 for a £31 meal. The speakers in the restaurant were way too loud, I couldn’t hear my girlfriend speak. They tables where so close together I was shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Overall I did not enjoy my meal here and would not recommend.

Disappointing service-cold pizza once arrived. A service charge on top of your food not great. My children didn’t enjoy it they were not friendly staff. Pizza express all the way!

Wow. The massive dough balls are something else! Everything served really quick from ordering and bring your own drinks!

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere staff are nice and there is plenty going on highly recommend looking forward to the events over Christmas

I hate to leave a poor review as the food was amazing. However, service was extremely lacking. Everytine you touched the table it moved making it difficult to eat and drink. The waitress came over and saw us trying to adjust it. She just said it's broken. We asked to move and got no, despite plenty of tables being empty. Asked for water 3 times before receiving any. Had the service been better, I would return. However, similar standard of food in the area with far better service.

Fantastic spot for pizza, staff are incredibly friendly and there was even live music in the evening. Special thanks to our amazing waitress Evie, who was super attentive

We are frequent visitors. But we decided to come for our work night out and suffice to say it didn’t disappoint! All 18 meals were perfect! We will definitely be back 🍕

Gem amongst all the dross in Macclesfield. Really nice food, well priced, nice staff. Will definitely visit again when next in area.

Dropped by here midweek, early evening. Quiet and spent a while chatting with the well travelled manager, personable guy. Didn't realise there was an option to bring your own. Pizzas were excellent as you'd probably expect. Nice decor, we'll definitely be back with a bottle before too long.

Great food and great service! Lovely food as always. Dough balls to die for! I love the caprese salad and arancini is brilliant!

Amazing service and pizza! The staff were very friendly and provided wonderful service. A big thanks to Sam for his kindness on the day, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants some delicious pizza!

I love this restaurant! There is a lovely upbeat atmosphere, it’s relaxed a friendly. I have visited 3 times in the last 3 months for different occasions and had exceptional food and service each time. The first 2 occasions I was served by the fabulous Gary, who builds a great rapport with diners and has a wicked sense of humour. Thanks for making our night Gary! Tonight we visited for my husbands birthday and we were looked after by the lovely Toby who made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us throughout the evening. Great work Toby, thank you. Worth a visit for the Pesto dough balls alone! See you again soon!

Visiting Macclesfield from Wales and booked this for my daughter’s 8th birthday meal. The waitress forgot we had ordered a garlic bread (I suspect due to her engaging with the children, which I like - so no issues about that from me) and as soon as I asked where it was they couldn’t have been more apologetic or whipped me one up faster !! That would have been absolutely fine but they then let us have it for free - gold star!! I had a birthday cake for my daughter and the host totally bought into the fabrication that I was handing him a box of small change to pay for the meal, not a cake, so as not to spoil the surprise - what a great guy! Lovely meal, lovely place and lovely people!

Nice atmosphere and Pizzas done really well, Great portions and well presented. Only concern is the now all too familiar hefty service charge which is shown as voluntary but is simply added to your final bill and not mentioned at the time of complilation.

Had a delicious dinner at Wood Fire The best Italian restaurant in Macclesfield is Smoke Food, which was delicious! The staff was incredibly amiable, especially our waitress, Sienna, who was polite and extremely attentive. The interior atmosphere is also excellent. really hospitable!

Spur of the moment decision to eat out led to a google search for somewhere local that we hadnt tried before resulting in a 5 minute drive to have possibly the best pizza we have had in a long time served by very pleasant efficient staff. We will most definitely be back again

A small restaurant with a wood fired pizza oven. The choice of pizzas was quite limited, and sadly the usual one I would order did not feature. However, the pizzas are large and the dough balls were fantastic - completely different from the usual offerings. However, be warned - although this restaurant offers a bring-your-own facility, by the time they charge £2.50 per person corkage, and then service charge on top of it all, the bill ends up a lot larger than the price on the menu would suggest.

First visit, getting takeaway Pizzas - definitely won't be the last. Absolutely delicious, very tasty and excellent value.

A fantastic night here celebrating a 50th birthday with family. Friendly team and atmosphere. Great food and very attentive service with a full restaurant all evening. We were a large table of 14. The layout of the tables was arranged well to accommodate all of us. I would recommend here to others.

The pizza's were delicious! And it's great that everything can be made with vegan cheese (dairy intolerance). The menu had a nice selection. However, the atmosphere was lacking. Maybe some background music would have been nice. My husband paid the bill and it was only after we left that I realised we had been overcharged - three of us ordered from the lunchtime offer of pizza and a drink for £10, but were charged the price from the main menu. They also added a service charge - there were only four of us, and this is in a provincial town not a major city. I did see (again, after) that it was discretionary but it wasn't clear on the bill. It is bring your own alcohol but the soft drinks are overpriced - £2.50 for a 330ml can of coke. There was also no option for decaf coffee.
