Called in today for our first visit. Received a warm welcome from staff members and were able to be seated as although it was busy lots of people had chosen to sit outdoors. Chose a carvery and we weren't disappointed, choice of 3 meats all cooked beautifully, nice choice of fresh vegetables. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and you weren't bombarded by staff as soon as you started eating asking if it was alright. We were approached but had at least had a chance to have eaten some of the meal! Will definitely be returning here again.

previous restaurant operators might have, in some ways been naive in terms of volume expected but they were very nice people. present set up had the brewery as well, so double take on beers profit, and they have a couple of other house they now supply, taking both wholesale and retail profit, but restauranteurs they will never be, not in several million years.

Under new management, open all day every day from 1200 for drinks and food , the brewery will be reopened soon, you'll be able to see Kev working hard to brew some of the finest ales in the area.

I really liked the food at Wood Farm, but I was told that they are closing the resturant. It is a real shame.I believe it is since the brewery closed that they have not had the required custom to keep open.

We eat out all over and this has to be the worst food we have ever had.ordered a cesar salad and it had carrots and big tomatoes in with crispy chicken …then tried the lamb and mint pie and it was like looking and eating cat food even the mash was frozen mash or packet mash….beet disappointing but paid the £43 pound and got out of there

Highly recommend the Hot Apple juice- it was like apple pie in a glass! Very friendly staff and yummy food. We enjoyed the brie and apple toastie.

Have not visited for a couple of years but we were quite near so decide to give it a try. Well we will not be back, empty only two staff on (they were good). It is a shame because it used to be a nice place, but it looks like another one bites the dust.

Many of my friends have raved about this restaurant and we had never been. So after realising it was closing, we just had to book. It was not what we expected - bright lights and bare tables. Not our thing. The arrival greeting was ok but not special and no explanation or interest in us as 1st timers. The food was good and very tasty but it was expected at the price. The wine choice was a different matter. We order one red and one white, not cheap. The white wine arrived by a very young waiter who poured the wine with no option to taste and it was NOT cold. Unbelievable! When asked why it was not cold he said there was ice in the ice bucket. Not a good start to the meal, The waitress leaned over me every time to serve my friend and they didn’t offer new cutlery for each course. Maybe they have lost interest now it’s closing, very sad as we had heard such excellent reviews.
