Little hidden gem of a Bakery & Café /Coffee Shop in Hull, in the Old Town near the Lion and Key. The coffees are to die for, Omg, and the food is top quality, fresh, home made, served with love. Really superb 😋

Este es un café de la calle pero cerca de los museos. Lo encontramos por accidente y pensamos que sería bueno probar desde los lugares habituales de alto precio. La decoración en el interior estaba fuera de lugar, pero asumió que era un tema, pero no estoy seguro de qué. No se veía ni se sentía limpio. Nos sentamos en una mesa de seis como nadie en el café. Me dijeron que me moviera, ya que podrían meter a un grupo de personas. Uno pensaría que esto era razonable, pero cuando alguien más entró por su cuenta, uno de los trabajadores se sentó en una mesa a su lado, nunca dijo una palabra sobre mudarse a una mesa diferente. La comida era agradable pero aún así caro, pero más barato que otros lugares. Cuando esperaba para pagar, traté de ser gracioso ya que a la mujer se le estaba mostrando la tostadora. Dije que no quemaras la tostada, lo dije dos veces y nada, ni siquiera cortés.

Ven a tomar un café y un desayuno absolutamente magnífico... personal estupendo y pan casero. ¿Qué más hay? Realmente vale la pena una visita si estás en el casco antiguo

Nos encontramos con esta cafetería en nuestro camino a los Barrios del Museo. Queríamos sentarnos y tomar una copa y pastel, no nos decepcionó! Es bastante pequeño por dentro, pero unas pocas mesas buenas. El servicio fue genial y los pasteles estaban deliciosos. El té venía en ollas individuales y era té Yorkshire. Los pasteles eran increíbles y muy deliciosos. Tenían barras de pan preciosas en la ventana, imagino que los sándwiches eran buenos. Encantador lugar para llamar si estás por esa zona.

Después de visitar el Museo Wilberforce y el Museo del Transporte, visitamos el Wonky Tulip. Excelente servicio, muy buena comida, aunque un poco apretado! ¡Nada es perfecto, pero este lugar casi está en todos los frentes!

Personal muy amable. Perfecto para comenzar el día con un gran café y panceta a la parrilla y un sándwich de queso. Utilizan pan recién horneado y es un gran hallazgo en la parte antigua de Hull.

Brillante acogedor café el servicio era muy bueno y la comida era deliciosa bien vale la pena el gasto y sí volveremos a visitar se puede encontrar en el corazón del casco antiguo.

We visited with our two young daughters and the service and food was excellent. The staff saw we had kids and asked if we wanted the toasties/sandwiches cutting up smaller. The food was delicious and you could see them preparing it fresh and cutting slices from loaf with lots of combinations of filling. We had various toasties with different cheeses and meats and a sausage pattie sandwich. There were different cheeses on even the basic ham and cheese toastie. It has a lovely atmosphere and kind staff we would recommend this gem if you are visiting the nearby museums like we were. Full and happy family here.

Absolutely gorgeous breakfast and coffee. Quality ingredients, decent portion sizes and cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced and the service was lovely too. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Thank you. ♥️

A lovely establishment. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived, very accommodating for us with a pram and a toddler. True light lunch was excellent and the jam dodger blondie a welcome treat to takeaway

Perfect place for a quick bite before we were visiting the archeology museum. We had intended to call in for coffee and cake but opted for the smashed avocado on toast and the poached egg with sausage on toast . Thoroughly enjoyed everything but unfortunately no room for cake, so that will be our next visit.

This beautiful, friendly place was recommended by the ladies at the museum we were visiting and we were not disappointed. We received a friendly welcome by a lovely young man whose colleagues were also lovely too. We had grilled sandwiches which were huge and full of lovely produce. We couldn't fit a cake in but they looked lovely. I would wholeheartedly recommend this jewel if you're visiting Hull because the food is plentiful and of excellent quality.

Excellent coffee, excellent cake, excellent (freshly prepared) sandwiches all served by great staff. I've been here a few times for coffee, but while out with the family who were a little peckish, I thought we'd snack here. They were not disappointed, & TBH think they'll return with or without me.

We just came across this whilst wandering around the old town in Hull. Staff there were lovely. Had a magnificent banoffee flapjack. Understand is all home made. Would come back if ever in Hull again.

Lovely little coffee shop/eatery on scale lane. I have been twice this week as the coffee is that good!! Visited again today for brunch and cake. Busy but still great service! Great find! Highly recommend! Lots of veggie and vegan options too which is fab!! Thanks!!

It really is worth finding this place. Right by few great pubs and the swing bridge. The food is truly superb and great portion sizes. they have a great option of every sandwich can be made in to a salad for same price and its a decent size salad too. I had the vegan mix on toast which was so, so good with garlic mushrooms and truffle spinach. Large portion too. Coffee was really good as well. When we come back to Hull, we will 100% be back

Best sandwiches in Hull. Travelled from Sheffield for an appointment in Hull and grabbed some lunch on the way back to the car. We got a chicken club & a blt - I nearly went back for seconds. The bacon was cooked fresh, the chicken was tender & the staff were lovely. 10/10. Would return again just for the sandwich!

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent choices on menu, generous fillings and tasty home-made jams - so pleased we found this little gem. Absolutely recommend giving it a try if in the area.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch at The Wonky Tulip. Staff were friendly and the cafe has a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return to sample more delights on the menu 😋

Stumbled across this cool little coffee house today by accident , so glad I did .. quirky little place , great staff , super menu and all cooked and served with love .. I’ll be back tomorrow . Well worth finding

We visited the Wonky Tulip several times during our stay in Hull. It is delightful! Lovely food, great coffee and great service. A real treat

I just happened to wander by and saw that breakfast was available. I'm glad I did. The breakfast was very good and I eat every morsel. What I really enjoyed was the toast that came with it. Usually toast with a cooked breakfast is uneventful and unnoticeable, but not here. The breakfast patties were so much better than sausages; along with great coffee it made it so enjoyable.

Friendly, attentive service. Warm, cosy atmosphere. Great coffee and tasty breakfast, French toast with peanut butter and homemade jam was amazing, the breakfast sandwich looked good too.

Have been a number of occasions for coffee and breakfast and had pleasant experiences. Sadly today wasn’t the best. Coffee was delicious as usual but food wasn’t up to scratch. Over cooked traditional breakfast and tasteless scrambled eggs. Add that to over half an hour wait for the food (no apology until we paid) drinks all finished by then…If it had been our first visit I wonder if we would return? We did inform the staff at the end of the meal and we received a discount off our bill.

Exceptional food, fabulous atmosphere, dog friendly and great value for money. We stopped off here for brunch, the Advocado on toast , on their own freshly baked bread is as good as it gets. The breakfast sandwich is a must.

An amazing little find. Really enjoyed our tasty breakfast with a great cup of coffee each. This cafe is really funky playing our kind of music with lovely staff. Looking forward to visiting again to try some more of the Wonky Tulips menu.
