Wolfox Avenue in Brighton and Hove

Mi familia y yo visitamos este maravilloso lugar, era encantador el servicio de ambiente era 10 / 10. La comida estaba deliciosa. Tenía inglés completo. Mi esposa desayunó en Garden. Mis dos hijos tenían panqueques. Todo recién cocinado y sabroso. Muy recomendable. Gracias a todos por su hospitalidad educada y cortés. Lisa el dueño es tan amable y tan atento. El café de Tanya fue el mejor. Volveré la semana que viene

Disappointing experience. Service was ridiculously slow and the prices are extortionate for what it is. Waited well over 20 mins after sitting to have our order taken, in which we ourselves had to ask to be served. Simple drinks took a further 20 mins to come (including a glass of water!). Food was too overpriced and customer service was minimal with staff on their phones, and not paying attention to waiting customers.

This used to be a favourite brunch restaurant for us as a family. The food was excellent and the ambience nice. Sadly on our last 2 visits the food has been substandard. On one visit the gluten free pancakes were a disgusting blob of stodge - previously they had been fluffy and delicious. On the other visit I ordered a dish supposed to be served on toast but they had forgotten to toast it. The bacon wasn't crispy enough - in fact everyone's orders were disappointing. The ambience is still nice, but I won't eat there again.

Looked lovely from the outside and was busy inside. Bit of a confused system inside but eventually found a table. Food took quite some time to arrive but understandably they were quite busy so no big drama…. Unfortunately then went downhill. My food must have been ready for a while before being delivered - the poached eggs and bacon (£2.50 for three tiny shards) were cold and the garnish was wilting on the plate. I spoke with one of the ladies serving - she advised she had put through a request for a replacement but over fifteen nearly twenty minutes later I had to chase up. By this point my husband had long finished his! The other member of staff did remove the cold, uneaten, unwanted plate at this time but the replacement was not much better. No apology for the quality or delay, which is disappointing. For the price charged, it was very underwhelming. It’s also a shame to have to chase up and be made to feel a nuisance when the food originally served was not up to scratch - not my fault! On the plus side, my husband said the full English was lovely with good ingredients and served nice and hot.

Unimpressed and very expensive! A single can of Coke is £3.30 which is a quite extraordinary markup on an item that requires no preparation.

Such a rude and unprofessional service! Blonde woman served us like she is doing us a favour, asked twice all our order like she never listened us at the first place. We were served in takeaway cups for some reason and when I noticed that I asked for have in cups as we would like to enjoy our coffee on the spot. She just replied - that’s ok, you can have it in anyway without any apologising foe her mistake. Coffee was so burnet and strong that we felt sick all afternoon with my friend. Very disappointing.

We had breakfast at Avenue on Wednesday 12/7 and enjoyed it thoroughly. The cafe was recommended to us by our b&b host and we're glad we followed his advice. It was a busy morning and we understand there was a shortage of staff so a long queue formed in front of the counter. The young lady behind the counter worked professionally, calmly and friendly, taking the orders, charging the clients, preparing and serving coffees and other drinks as well as cleaning tables. We think she did the work of at least two people, so big thanks to her and I hope she will be properly compensated for the heroic work. The food was great, too. The chef cooked us a tasty meal using fresh ingredients, and my wife said the scrambled eggs were the best she's ever had. And she's had quite a few of those before... Will dine at Avenue again and strongly recommend the place to others, too.

Have been coming here for ages - won’t be again. Girl working on Sunday morning was so rude, she has really let this business down. After standing at the bar for 7 mins I without being acknowledged (fairly busy I don’t expect instant service but a nod or smile is always nice) Ordered 2 iced a coffees to have in and let them know where we were sitting. A little bit confused when 5 mins late the girl barks out the door that 2 take away iced coffees are ready, she then shouts this again directly at me as if I’m simple. I said, ‘oh ours were to have in but no worries’. Walked to bar and collected 2 iced coffees, even checked with the other girl that these were the right ones. Girl no1 then comes out shaking her head and folding my girlfriend saying shes taken the wrong coffee. No accountability for numerous mistakes on their part, actually tried to make out it was our fault. In contrast the older lady working was incredibly friendly and warm, obvious the difference in people skills between generations.

We came here for breakfast due to the London to Brighton event. After a very long drive from our home town, to London, then to Brighton to watch our partners cross the finish line we found this lovely cafe spot (though we are pleased we weren’t the ones cycling). The breakfast was delicious and I especially enjoyed my iced coffee. Not to mention how friendly and helpful our waitress was, and another gentleman who cleared our plates as soon as we had finished - he was also very attentive and saw to any of our needs. I would definitely visit here again if we were to come back! Thank you for having us :)

Great experience for breakfast/brunch - staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food and coffee both good. Good Gluten Free options as well. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been here a few times for coffee since moving to the area and it has been okay. I went recently for brunch and waited 40mins before they realised they had forgotten the order. Then waited another 10mins for a refund but they could only give it to me in cash. I realised after that they had short changed me as well :( in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t the end of the world but it did kind of ruin my morning and made me feel silly for asking for a refund. Seems poorly managed which is a shame as it has lots of potential. Plenty of other great local coffee shops that I will now go to instead!

No table service, staff ignore you when you walk in and aren't particularly friendly. Female manager is incredibly rude and confrontational, even to regulars. Can get better food & drinks for cheaper just down the road. Long wait for your order even though it's almost always empty. Lot's of potential for the space as it looks nice from the outside, just seems poorly managed!

Brilliant bottomless brunch for my birthday. Attentive friendly staff, great food and lots of Prosecco. I will go back next time I am in Brighton.

We were greeted by a very friendly staff member and shown to our table. The service was great - very attentive and the atmosphere and food was lovely. Lots of choice for vegans and some of the brunch options were unique/different from regular brunch options which I really appreciated. The food was reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We were looking for decent brunch. Everything went wrong from the beginning. Take time to order. The owner was too tense and so moody. Then take time ages to get our drinks. Food was ok. Not what we expected. 70 pounds for 4 peoples. It's not worth it. Overall is very poor. Won't recommend.

We arrived at the restaurant to be received by a smile which was possibly the only pleasurable part of my visit to this restaurant. My partner and I waited an eternity to be served as the members of staff looked lost ...we finally ordered a farm breakfast and another healthy option for my partner... We realised we had made a bad choice when all the tables around us where being given free coffees and free breakfasts as the medley of mistakes and a comical circus unfolded in front of us. The manageress was shouting at the chef and he seemed to be unable to cope with each order one after another it was at first funny and we were joking lots with the tables around about whether we would ever eat. Our order arrived but was incorrect and my partner had to wait 30 more minutes and then still it arrived incorrect.. we were given a free meal but I embarked on my trip home to London hungry late and deflated.. I feel very sorry for the lovely waitresses but we should not have been charged for anything at all and it was a terrible experience.

Felt like an inconvenience. No one seemed interested in me . Waited ages to be served ,after being told it was table service . Others were being served takeaways quicker. Thought the guy was coming over at one point no acknowledgement like I'll be with u in a mo. Felt invisible, walked out. Shame ,looked quite nice inside ,although music too loud for me at 10 in the morning .

Came here yesterday and it was amazing the coffees were delicious, the food was spectacular and the services was wonderful and with smiles, will be returning soon:)))
