The Prince George in Brighton and Hove

Pleasantly surprised by the veggie burger, and a great half price offer on Monday and Tuesday meant we spent about £7.50 per person. Good service and really tasty burger.

As a non vegan - 10/10 food. The carribean loaded fries had me by the throat. The gnocci made me have a religious experience. Absolutely brilliant would recommend to a friend and an enemy.

It's probably the best pub grub I've ever had and I'm not vegan or veggie, absolutely amazing food. And surprisingly cheap compared to other pubs.

we went in by chance for my friends birthday and had a wonderful time, the staff (kitty and Ruby) were so wonderful and kind, they watched our drinks when we popped outside and made us feel so safe and welcome- they really went above and beyond

Best vegane fish‘n‘chips! You can get everything in vegan! It was crazy good! My new favorit place

Lovely pub just on the edge of the lanes, great vegan and veggie food, friendly staff. Vegan Burger was delicious and some delicious plates to share.

If I could give more stars I would. The roast "beef" was absolutely delicious. One of the best roasts I've had in a very long time. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended.

Gorgeous and tolerant pub. Didn't have grub, but it looks divine. Lovely cozy vibe. Good clients. Great loos. However, we were served by a snappy and fiery bar lady. She needs to calm down and be more neutral. If you work with the public you need to learn to act polite even if you can't stand the job. I hate snappy people at best. Great venue though.

Long term vegetarian pub. Popular and friendly. Not sure how well they keep their beer and never seem to have anything I like. Food ok, though menu changes very little. Good service generally.

Fabulous veggie food. I'm a meat eater so I got very confused by the veggie menu which tries to imitate meat.

Quaint vegan and vegetarian pub right in the heart of Brighton city. A relatively quieter experience during the afternoon. Didn't eat anything though, just had vino.

We liked it. They have got some funky loos! Prices are great, a lot cheaper than in other pubs around Brighton.

The food was terrible, but it is vegan... Otherwise, it is a nice pub with some great beer.

Nov '23. £6.70 for a Guinness. The Great Eastern opposite charges £5.50 and is a much better pub

Saturday night ran out of ice and glasses. Disappointing as its usually a good place. Ladies had sick in the sink even at 7.30 reported to staff not bothered. Gents toilet blocked as well flooding the floor again staff not concerned. Great garden space staff training needed

Had a great night in this pub with a friend. A friendly chilled vibe and then a really talented duo sang some classic blues songs, it was a perfect place to catch up.

Ordered a Lamb Shawarma Pitta to go with drink. £8. Horrid slices of leathery lamb. Lack of seasoning or any hint of spice. Insipid blob of my mayo and salad plopped on top and a slice of tomato. Yuk! Food used to be good here. Hope this isn't a sign of cost cutting decline.

Great Veggie/Vegan menu that looks appetising to all. Giid for standard lunch and Sunday Roasts are great. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Very good food, especially if you're a vegetarian. Disappointingly, they wouldn't allow a tab. I was hosting a family gathering and had to reuse my bank card each time I made a purchase.

Good roast - all the trimmings well cooked and came out piping hot Sadly they had run out of the “beef” but will be back to try it

I was charged £6.80 for a 330ml coke zero. Disgraceful. Ruined my experience and I couldn't enjoy my roast. My friends paid less for their pints. I probably won't go there again, despite it being a great roast dinner.

I did not have anything to eat just drink the atmosphere was extremely warm and friendly.

Good food and drinks but won't allow a tab to be set up which was really annoying.

Had the Sunday Roast today, I hate to give a bad review because I’m sure this may have just been a bad day but the potatoes tasted off which affected the rest of the meal. This is such a simple thing to remedy and should never happen in a restaurant. I expect fresh food when I’m eating out.

Nice pub and staff, good service, decent range of beers and cocktails. Best thing are the homemade nachos - have been coming for years, it's quite rare to find proper large nachos so that's a great find. I exclusively come here for the nachos and i dont see that changing! EDIT: as of autumn 2023, the homemade nachos have now moved location to a nearby pub - I cannot recommend the new menu as much as the 2021-2022 one.

Popped in for a bit of lunch, and was not disappointed with the vegetarian / vegan menu ... large main dishes and loved the Korean bbq cauliflower side dish. Thank you had great experience and looking to be back soon 🌻

We have been visiting this pub for lunch every time we visit Brighton. We visited again this Tuesday for lunch. Unfortunately the menu has changed and now seems very uninspired. Sandwiches, burgers, pittas etc. Perhaps that caters to current demand but regretably not for us any longer. Shame.

We have been to this bar 3 times over the last few years and enjoyed a meal and drink on each occasion. Unbarred was a wonderful tasty vegan beer full of many wonderful flavours. And the vegan food from snacks to manis are prepared with care and attention and were thoroughly enjoyed by all

We always visit here when we come to Brighton. Great food at great value. Each visit the food has been spot on and great potion size. You will not leave hungry! Give it a visit if you are in town - you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful place!! The food is veggie and vegan and it is incredible! The loaded fries with bacon jam were so good! The decor is so lovely, it's just such a warm and inviting place! Looking forward to being there on a live music night! :) The supervisor on shift, Kitty, was just so sweet and nice! :) will visit again

If you’re hungry and appreciate great vegan food, then head here for a Sunday Roast without delay. The team from T@Hove and T@TheDials have just taken over the kitchen on Sundays and it’s delicious. Generous portions. Fab menu.

A good selection of beers and ciders. Also, for people who are looking for vegan dishes, they have a big vegetarian/vegan menu which is quite extensive.

This place used to be a 5* all round. They used to do the most amazing food, especially the beer battered holloumi. Unfortunately the menu has changed and it's like day and night. Still a great pub, just not great food. PLEASE bring back your old menu!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear not!!! Like others, we loved this place for the large portions of delicious vegetarian food, but we were very sad on our last visit to find the menu and kitchen had changed. However, we have found the previous kitchen company have moved to The Fountain Head and are still providing the same delicious food as ever! Panic over. Disaster averted.

Me and my family used to come here for lunch everytime we came to Brighton as the food was delicious. However, on our most recent visit, we visited here to find that the menu had changed getting rid of the many beloved food options we had before, much of it being replaced with salads which often feels like a staple and easy option for vegetarian food. The staff was lovely though and it had a nice atmosphere!

The food was amazing, such big portions and value for money. It was busy at lunch and there was a mix up with orders but staff were very attentive and it was sorted straight away.

Fantastic veggie food with very generous portions. I'm usually a confirmed carnivore but I went to this pub with a group who were all veggie. The food was so generous and some delicious options. Lots of Mexican themed food which was fine by me and the Cauliflower bite starters were delicious. The only minor negatives were that the service of the food was a bit slow. We had quite a long wait even allowing for the fact it was a busy lunchtime. Secondly the homemade nachos, which were huge, were also a bit oily. However overall a very good meal and I definitely didn't need anything else to eat later in the day!

Very decent and cheerful experience. Good location near station and on my Saturday daytime experience bar tender was just about the nicest/ friendliest of my week stay in Brighton covering 60+ pubs. Will return next time in town

The least welcoming pub i have ever been to in this country. The lady behind the bar reluctantly served us after questioning how much the two of us had already had to drink and i can honestly say despite being in some states in my time i have never been asked such a question in England (only ever happened in Australia with their wierd RSA laws). Will take my business elsewhere next time for a swifty.

Never been to a authentic pub that is also vegetarian! Definitely recommend the nori banana blossoms 😁 I'll be back!! (best to book a table on weekends)

This is used to be a vegan pub and years ago I banged smack with a pal then we went here and got a roast which neither of us could eat at all. Then we went to Duke of Yorks and watched a Bunuel film. How things have changed. Hashtag feel so blessed.

One of the best vegetarian/ vegan places in Brighton. Very good pub food, not posh nosh but done very well. Had Sunday roast too, very filling. Perhaps a little more green vege but this seems to be across the board these days

2nd visit. Service was attentive. Food was very good indeed. Prices fair. Would definitely recommend. Have seen a few negative reviews but my personal experience is only positive.

Have eaten here a couple of times very recently after avoiding it for a good while due to bad experiences but there is new management now and both meals were a big improvement. The food is good and very food value - week day evening deals and great value lunch menu. We will be back.

I don't live in Brighton and hadn't been here for years and had a vague memory of it being good. It was wonderful! Great well-stocked bar, friendly staff and the food?! So good!! Everything is veggie or vegan and can be made vegan on request and everything we had was delicious, full of flavour and decent portion sizes. I won't leave it so long to go back next time 🤦‍♀️

Epic Sunday Roast. Generous portions, served hot, came quickly, great customer service, friendly staff and good choice of vegan and veggie options. Pub was also full and had a really nice atmosphere with groups of friends , families and dogs 🐕 They’ve got it perfectly right here. Will definitely be back

It's a cute little pub inside but it quite unassuming from the outside so, not unsurprisingly, lots of people walk by without giving it a 2nd look :( Best hotpot I've ever tasted and it was vegan :) Not to pricey, about the same all pubs charge but the food and staff are much nicer.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and no animals were harmed in the making of my lunch!

The vegetarian Mexican food here is incredible and they have lots of options for vegans too. Very happy returning customer!

Just popped in for a drink, quite shocked when we my husband ordered a pint to be offered one the bar tender apparently poured recently 😳 instead of a fresh one! To then be quite rude about the fact we didn't want it!

We regularly come to Brighton for the day and usually walk past here and say that one day we will go in. This week we have decided to stay in Brighton for a few days As it was raining we dropped in here for a pint, but after seeing a few people eating we decided to cancel the meal that we had booked for somewhere else later. My Wife had the felafel burger whilst I opted for the beetroot burger. Both of which were amazing and were paired with proper homemade chips that only my late Nan could match. We will definitely be back again and again Thanks

Bar staff nice enough. Food good. Chef cooking it has an attitude problem though which, sadly, will be my memory of the place.

Very vegan friendly pub with some excellent roast selections. Personally I went for the cashew Wellington, as a meat eater, I was very pleasantly surprised with not only the quantity of food but the quality of the Wellington roast. Very succulent and the pastry was of great quality. Trimmings were lovely and little shaved sweet potatoes that were cooked were a nice surprise. Family friendly in the heart of Brighton's Laines.

Visited on Sunday 28th August as had read good reviews online and the Sunday roast is amazing!! Really delicious veg and wellington, and great portion size (we were stuffed!) Staff were all friendly and welcoming - the table next to us brought their sog and the guy behind the bar offered them a bowl of water and treat for the dog. Would love to visit again and will definitely recommend :)

Good beer, not tried the food but hear it is good. Been coming here for going on 15 years now and looks good here now, had a refurb fairly recently and garden and insides look good. Still retains its style as previous of honest boozer but looks cleaner and sharper now

Recommended to visit by a friend, but almost put off by the less than welcoming front of house staff. Perfunctory at best! As starving hungry stayed, and thank goodness for the food. It was amazing. Falafel burger was huge and served with fresh salad. Saved!

I was really excited to eat here as it's hard to find good vegetarian Sunday roasts. Added bonus that their menu looked like it was accomodating of allergies by identifying everything, however, they refused to serve me with a nut allergy 😭 so heads up if you're in the same boat, they are not accomodating of that.

Nice pub, funky inside, immaculate loos & beer garden. Girl behind bar not very welcoming no smile. Ordered the halloumi chips and mushy peas was delicious cost £14.50. Glass of wine £8.50 overpriced for a basic pinot grigio hence took one star off. Went up the road had a drink at The Prince Albert reasonable prices & warm friendly staff

Rude staff + Disgusting food = Utter disaster. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the staff behind the bar were all grumpy and unwelcoming. They didn't bother to look at you when they were speaking to you - perhaps they weren't taught any manners. Falafel burger seemed to be microwaved and the salad that came with it was also yucky. A really horrible experience and definitely not recommend.
