The Prince George in Brighton and Hove

I’ve visited regularly over the years, and the food was once really good. They have changed the menu recently and the food is now over-priced and very small portions. We had burgers (£13), which came on a tiny side-plate, burger bun not toasted, no garnish/salad. The burger patty was mushy. We ordered fries (£4), which came in a tiny bowl, just a small handful. £17 for a tiny portion of lack-lustre burger and fries. I’ve always recommended the food here to friends, but not now. Save your money and eat somewhere else, such a shame.

We stopped here for a well needed drink and some food. The food is vegan and vegetarian, not our usual choice but we were pleasantly surprised. Really nice food,especially the mushroom skewers. We had a few plates of different food to try and it was all really nice. Staff very friendly too. Would recommend.

Food by T @ the Dials is fantastic and totally vegetarian/vegan. Good beer selection but a bit on the pricey side.

Great to see a vegan/vegetarian pub the does sports as well. Although, I drank the same drink all evening and the last one was suddenly more expensive. Could have been a mistake, or maybe the bar staff are adding in phantom tips for themselves. Hopefully not the latter

I am avid carnivore, so I was wondering what the food would be like. I found that it was very good. My veggie 'beef' burger was excellent. I'm also very keen on good ale; I really enjoyed the 3.7% session beer which was perfectly kept.

My friend and I were here today. They have got amazing euro seasonal vegan burgers and they were so delicious! We also had their small nachos, which was a generous portion and extremely tasty with the sticky sauce and fresh Guacomole. The food takes a while to serve, but you know it's freshly made with love!

Great place to go with our dog and vegan daughter. Loved the food, even as a non-veggie. Friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere.

We came for a quiet drink here. Sadly, our experience was ruined by a rude bartender, off beer and a filthy glass. The first beer I ordered tasted off- very sharp. We politely returned it to the bar having only had a couple of sips but the bartender was very dismissive. Begrudgingly, she provided an alternative pint. However, the beer glass was absolutely filthy, with brown specs covering the bottom of the inside of the glass. I advised her of the dirty glass and suggested she check the dishwasher and was offered an insincere apology. I will not be returning.

Good selection of drinks, food is great and good choices. Music is also a good selection and really does good for the atmosphere

Sad to write this but the food and portion sizes have really gone downhill. Nice menu and more vegan options. £5 for a pathetic portion of chips that weren’t even nice. About 5 years ago you can get chips three times the size. Appreciate the cost of living and products have increased but this is ridiculous. Won’t be back.

We just had the redefined vegan steak with mash, mushrooms in gravy and veg. It was divine and the chef was incredibly friendly. For dessert, we had the vegan sticky toffee pudding with a scoop of vegan ice cream: yummy!

Really nice pub, not too loud, not too quiet, plenty of tables, nice crowd, great service, good range of booze. Good for a long stay or part of a night out sampling the bars of Brighton!

Their food is incredible!!! The chefs are doing an incredible job, and were super helpful when I asked them about allergens. I hope this place goes fully vegan soon rather than veggie but it’s still great. Definitely recommend

Pleasantly surprised by the veggie burger, and a great half price offer on Monday and Tuesday meant we spent about £7.50 per person. Good service and really tasty burger.

As a non vegan - 10/10 food. The carribean loaded fries had me by the throat. The gnocci made me have a religious experience. Absolutely brilliant would recommend to a friend and an enemy.

It's probably the best pub grub I've ever had and I'm not vegan or veggie, absolutely amazing food. And surprisingly cheap compared to other pubs.

we went in by chance for my friends birthday and had a wonderful time, the staff (kitty and Ruby) were so wonderful and kind, they watched our drinks when we popped outside and made us feel so safe and welcome- they really went above and beyond

Great pub quiz 7.30 Sunday. Vegetarian only food

We popped in on a Saturday lunchtime and had a great meal. The layout of the pub is good so it feels cozy, but there’s still plenty of space. The bar staff and kitchen staff were friendly and the food and drinks a good price. All in all a great experience which I’d would definitely recommend. Plant based and Veggie food is easy to find in Brighton but T @ do it particularly well.

Lovely pub just on the edge of the lanes, great vegan and veggie food, friendly staff. Vegan Burger was delicious and some delicious plates to share.

If I could give more stars I would. The roast "beef" was absolutely delicious. One of the best roasts I've had in a very long time. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended.

Gorgeous and tolerant pub. Didn't have grub, but it looks divine. Lovely cozy vibe. Good clients. Great loos. However, we were served by a snappy and fiery bar lady. She needs to calm down and be more neutral. If you work with the public you need to learn to act polite even if you can't stand the job. I hate snappy people at best. Great venue though.

Quaint vegan and vegetarian pub right in the heart of Brighton city. A relatively quieter experience during the afternoon. Didn't eat anything though, just had vino.

We liked it. They have got some funky loos! Prices are great, a lot cheaper than in other pubs around Brighton.

So disappointed, I used to love this place (in an older review I had given it 5 stars) but genuinely I don't have words to describe how bad it was. Ordered nachos and chips as we only popped in for a quick one. After almost 40mins and me asking what's happening to our food they eventually served the measly nachos with almost no cheese and stone cold toppings. The person I talked to about the delay said they'll talk to the manager about it - of course never heard back! The table next to us send their nachos back!!! Don't waste your time - just bad!

The food was terrible, but it is vegan... Otherwise, it is a nice pub with some great beer.

Saturday night ran out of ice and glasses. Disappointing as its usually a good place. Ladies had sick in the sink even at 7.30 reported to staff not bothered. Gents toilet blocked as well flooding the floor again staff not concerned. Great garden space staff training needed

Had a great night in this pub with a friend. A friendly chilled vibe and then a really talented duo sang some classic blues songs, it was a perfect place to catch up.

Ordered a Lamb Shawarma Pitta to go with drink. £8. Horrid slices of leathery lamb. Lack of seasoning or any hint of spice. Insipid blob of my mayo and salad plopped on top and a slice of tomato. Yuk! Food used to be good here. Hope this isn't a sign of cost cutting decline.

Great Veggie/Vegan menu that looks appetising to all. Giid for standard lunch and Sunday Roasts are great. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Very good food, especially if you're a vegetarian. Disappointingly, they wouldn't allow a tab. I was hosting a family gathering and had to reuse my bank card each time I made a purchase.

I was charged £6.80 for a 330ml coke zero. Disgraceful. Ruined my experience and I couldn't enjoy my roast. My friends paid less for their pints. I probably won't go there again, despite it being a great roast dinner.

I did not have anything to eat just drink the atmosphere was extremely warm and friendly.

Had the Sunday Roast today, I hate to give a bad review because I’m sure this may have just been a bad day but the potatoes tasted off which affected the rest of the meal. This is such a simple thing to remedy and should never happen in a restaurant. I expect fresh food when I’m eating out.

Nice pub and staff, good service, decent range of beers and cocktails. Best thing are the homemade nachos - have been coming for years, it's quite rare to find proper large nachos so that's a great find. I exclusively come here for the nachos and i dont see that changing! EDIT: as of autumn 2023, the homemade nachos have now moved location to a nearby pub - I cannot recommend the new menu as much as the 2021-2022 one.

Popped in for a bit of lunch, and was not disappointed with the vegetarian / vegan menu ... large main dishes and loved the Korean bbq cauliflower side dish. Thank you had great experience and looking to be back soon 🌻

We have been visiting this pub for lunch every time we visit Brighton. We visited again this Tuesday for lunch. Unfortunately the menu has changed and now seems very uninspired. Sandwiches, burgers, pittas etc. Perhaps that caters to current demand but regretably not for us any longer. Shame.

We have been to this bar 3 times over the last few years and enjoyed a meal and drink on each occasion. Unbarred was a wonderful tasty vegan beer full of many wonderful flavours. And the vegan food from snacks to manis are prepared with care and attention and were thoroughly enjoyed by all

We always visit here when we come to Brighton. Great food at great value. Each visit the food has been spot on and great potion size. You will not leave hungry! Give it a visit if you are in town - you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful place!! The food is veggie and vegan and it is incredible! The loaded fries with bacon jam were so good! The decor is so lovely, it's just such a warm and inviting place! Looking forward to being there on a live music night! :) The supervisor on shift, Kitty, was just so sweet and nice! :) will visit again

If you’re hungry and appreciate great vegan food, then head here for a Sunday Roast without delay. The team from T@Hove and T@TheDials have just taken over the kitchen on Sundays and it’s delicious. Generous portions. Fab menu.

A good selection of beers and ciders. Also, for people who are looking for vegan dishes, they have a big vegetarian/vegan menu which is quite extensive.

This place used to be a 5* all round. They used to do the most amazing food, especially the beer battered holloumi. Unfortunately the menu has changed and it's like day and night. Still a great pub, just not great food. PLEASE bring back your old menu!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear not!!! Like others, we loved this place for the large portions of delicious vegetarian food, but we were very sad on our last visit to find the menu and kitchen had changed. However, we have found the previous kitchen company have moved to The Fountain Head and are still providing the same delicious food as ever! Panic over. Disaster averted.

Me and my family used to come here for lunch everytime we came to Brighton as the food was delicious. However, on our most recent visit, we visited here to find that the menu had changed getting rid of the many beloved food options we had before, much of it being replaced with salads which often feels like a staple and easy option for vegetarian food. The staff was lovely though and it had a nice atmosphere!

The food was amazing, such big portions and value for money. It was busy at lunch and there was a mix up with orders but staff were very attentive and it was sorted straight away.

Fantastic veggie food with very generous portions. I'm usually a confirmed carnivore but I went to this pub with a group who were all veggie. The food was so generous and some delicious options. Lots of Mexican themed food which was fine by me and the Cauliflower bite starters were delicious. The only minor negatives were that the service of the food was a bit slow. We had quite a long wait even allowing for the fact it was a busy lunchtime. Secondly the homemade nachos, which were huge, were also a bit oily. However overall a very good meal and I definitely didn't need anything else to eat later in the day!

Very decent and cheerful experience. Good location near station and on my Saturday daytime experience bar tender was just about the nicest/ friendliest of my week stay in Brighton covering 60+ pubs. Will return next time in town

Popped in on the way home with a friend for a drink and a chat.. The bar man served my drink filling it to top of the glass with mixer I said oh no you've put too much mixer in and he said well you need to tell me that in the start and I said well it's usually standard practice to ask how much mixer would you like and that's how we used to do it in the old day trying to make a joke.. he took real Umbridge and you could tell he was seething.. I was trying to make light of it but he was cross plus the toilets were dirty all under the rims covered in s*** and I will never go back there again horrible vibe dodgy toilets..

The least welcoming pub i have ever been to in this country. The lady behind the bar reluctantly served us after questioning how much the two of us had already had to drink and i can honestly say despite being in some states in my time i have never been asked such a question in England (only ever happened in Australia with their wierd RSA laws). Will take my business elsewhere next time for a swifty.

Never been to a authentic pub that is also vegetarian! Definitely recommend the nori banana blossoms 😁 I'll be back!! (best to book a table on weekends)

This is used to be a vegan pub and years ago I banged smack with a pal then we went here and got a roast which neither of us could eat at all. Then we went to Duke of Yorks and watched a Bunuel film. How things have changed. Hashtag feel so blessed.

One of the best vegetarian/ vegan places in Brighton. Very good pub food, not posh nosh but done very well. Had Sunday roast too, very filling. Perhaps a little more green vege but this seems to be across the board these days

Have eaten here a couple of times very recently after avoiding it for a good while due to bad experiences but there is new management now and both meals were a big improvement. The food is good and very food value - week day evening deals and great value lunch menu. We will be back.

2nd visit. Service was attentive. Food was very good indeed. Prices fair. Would definitely recommend. Have seen a few negative reviews but my personal experience is only positive.

I don't live in Brighton and hadn't been here for years and had a vague memory of it being good. It was wonderful! Great well-stocked bar, friendly staff and the food?! So good!! Everything is veggie or vegan and can be made vegan on request and everything we had was delicious, full of flavour and decent portion sizes. I won't leave it so long to go back next time 🤦‍♀️

Epic Sunday Roast. Generous portions, served hot, came quickly, great customer service, friendly staff and good choice of vegan and veggie options. Pub was also full and had a really nice atmosphere with groups of friends , families and dogs 🐕 They’ve got it perfectly right here. Will definitely be back

It's a cute little pub inside but it quite unassuming from the outside so, not unsurprisingly, lots of people walk by without giving it a 2nd look :( Best hotpot I've ever tasted and it was vegan :) Not to pricey, about the same all pubs charge but the food and staff are much nicer.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and no animals were harmed in the making of my lunch!

The vegetarian Mexican food here is incredible and they have lots of options for vegans too. Very happy returning customer!
