Have been visiting this lovely cafe for over a year now as it soon became our staple. The food is always delicious and the welcome from Nicky and Kirsty always very warm. The menu selection is spot on with nothing being too much trouble. Coffee is brilliant too. Thank you ladies - 10/10 across the board :)

A unique mixture of cafe, art gallery and curios, providing an atmospheric indoor or outdoor eating experience. Deservedly popular, with tasty, well presented food, served by a consistently friendly professional staff. Highly recommended……the attached hotel accommodation is excellent too…

Read the poor reviews, have a laugh then forget them. This small cafe is spotless and very friendly staff. Simple cafe meals and cakes all got firm approval from our group. Gluten free from one member was no problem. Judging by empty plates on other tables people were happy with fare provided. Would happily return

We were staying on the adjacent caravan site and on our final morning decided to have breakfast in the cafe to save my partner cooking [ plus we'd run out of bacon] -- what a treat , the cafe is clean and run by very friendly and welcoming people , I ordered the full English and my partner had the Mary breakfast , the food plentiful and of very good quality and we'll surely be back --- excellent and to be recommended.

Terrific, traditional pub. Excellent service and lovely pub to have a few drinks, relax and chat. We didn't eat so can't comment on that.

Such a lovely country pub. Visited many times in the past and never been disappointed. Lovely cosy relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. The Sunday lunches are particularly good. Doggy friendly as well.

Pub side is great. It's a busy place so don't expect quiet. Prices are very ok and teriyaki chicken I had was one of best I ever had. Parking may be an issue as really busy at times. Unfortunately if you plan to stay to sleep I wouldn't recommend as despite being a nice addition in good standard for cheap money it has two major flaws that were a deal-breaker. Roof is very flat and not insulated enough when raining, you hear every drop and not in a calming way. Feels like it's flooding all the time. Secondary - too close to pub part and you will not stop listening clearly to noise until 4am. No sleep at all, unless you use some stoppers, and then only maybe. I have had second to last room and it was as if I was inside a pub all night.

Whoever has taken over this place has completely ruined it unfortunately. This pub had a great atmosphere and amazing food 8 months ago. The menu is now completely different, food is no where near the same quality or value it used to be. Half the beers were off and there was barely anyone there apart from a chap burping and smoking as we ate outside. What a shame, pretty sure this place won’t last long as it is as the new owner has not listened or taken on the values that made this pub fantastic before.
