What a shame!!!! The cafe has rapidly gone down hill. 6 months ago it was buzzing, good food, lovely staff and a perfect little garden centre setting……….now dreary and completely over priced. I had a peach ice tea £3.95. It was made of a generic syrup, served in a plastic cup lots of ice but heaven knows where the water came from. Who comes up with these ‘rip off’ ideas?

The food and drink in the Greenhouse Cafe is acceptable and is clearly popular as it is often busy hence you may need to wait. Unfortunately the only toilets are a good walk away half way down the car park, attached to Woldens Garden Centre. Regrettably on our last two visits the toilets have been dirty with no soap and you queue outside in the cold. We were told that the toilets were cleaned every morning. Evidence suggests this is not the case. There is no excuse for no soap and basic cleanliness.

What a disappointment as had visited before and was impressed last time. The driest tasteless quiche supposedly served with a side salad!! Not even enough salad to warrant calling it a garnish! I asked for some mayonnaise as the quiche was like chewing cardboard and was told it was 50 pence a pot. Really for the prices they charged to give a small portion of mayonnaise would not hurt. Will not be returning.

Oh dear, what a nightmare the cafe is. Left for ages before anyone serves you. A mini quiche takes 20 minutes to heat, and is then cut into small bits, chucked into a salad and covered with vinegar. Just nasty and expensive. Avoid it. There are other offerings nearby.

Purchased two Christmas lights a few days ago which i wanted to return, there was no receipt however you can clearly see the sticker that its from Wolden's. The manager sue was so incredibly rude she was giving terrible body language and her tone of voice was horrible! They refused to give a return because an item must be 'faulty' apparently you are not allowed to change ur mind! Absolutely sick! They ganged up on me and my daughter! Never returning to this company, and its staff is all about money! They don't care about customer satisfaction!

This is a cafe in a well-appointed garden centre which has a wide assortment of flowers, equipment and furniture, plus BBQs, to suit most gardens. Sadly, the restaurant did not match the quality of the garden offering. The cafe has a pleasing outlook on a raised platform overlooking part of the centre and the menu boasts a varied selection of food. However, we were disappointed with what we ordered. Our grand-daughter’s cheese sandwich had little taste. A small portion of limp salad accompanied our baked potatoes. The tuna arrived and it tasted OK, but the quantity was small. The baked potato had a pleasing outer shell but was mushy inside. What’s more, the price was high. So, would I go back? A definite no for food but perhaps for a coffee if I am visiting the garden centre.

Used to come here most weeks but having gone there last week lunches etc will be a thing of the past. How can they justify a small bowl of soup increasing from £3.95 to £4.50!!?? A regular latte has gone from £1.85 up to £2.00. Everything has increased significantly. Giving that most of their patrons in the Garden Cafe are pensioners how on earth do they expect to be able to pay these ridiculous prices. Changed my mind and left!

My favourite place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon tea and pick up some reasonably priced plants. . Great cappuccinos, all kinds of cakes and lunchtime snacks. You can sit outside on the terrace overlooking the plants or inside on a rainy day. It's been my favourite for many years.

The staff are always polite but this “cafe” is in a desperate need of an upgrade in terms of food, food quality and decor. There is a good selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks (pastries, cakes, crisps and fruit). However the pastries do not taste fresh and see, as though they have sat on the shelf for days. The scones also dont taste fresh and seem soggy and heavy rather than soft and crumbly. There is an acceptable selection of sandwiches but again the quality could be better with more high end, locally sourced ingredients being used. The best lunch option in my opinion is the omlette and that was freshly cooked, a good portion and delicious. Overall, You get what you pay for.

There is a lovely terrace so you can have your food outside. The quality of the sandwiches and paninis was good, although they are expensive. Similarly, the all-day breakfast was nicely presented with good quality, fresh ingredients. However, the till was very disorganised, and I ended up being overcharged for some items and undercharged for others. It got straightened out in the end but I had to pay part card, part cash, and ended up without a receipt. All the while, my coffee was going cold.....

There is a good selection of food i.e. sandwiches, paninis, baguettes, omelettes and soup along with a good variety of cakes including cream teas. They do not sell chips. Very helpful and friendly staff here. Reasonable prices.

OK for a quick snack for lunch if you have time on your hands as it's not the quickest service you'll get

I believe this is a family run business..don't visit this particular Nursery that often, but it is very well run with helpful staff. Probably a little on the pricey side, for this area..bulk of businesses are Nursery, or related..but all good quality stock..in essence, you get what you pay for. Worth a visit!

Large fresh scone with two butter sachets, jam in a mini jar and lovely clotted cream in its own sealed pot with fresh pot of tea - enough for two cups. Absolutely lovely in the busy cafe. Fantastic value for money. Will go again.

Lovely cafe/coffee shop which has something to offer for everyone. Located on The Green in Winchmore Hill it is a stone throw away from the station. I had a pesto mozzarella wrap on my last visit and it was so good! Love the pastries too! Service is always on point and the staff are super friendly. I usually write reviews about my finds abroad but this coffee shop definitely deserves a shout out for always offering a great service and tasty bites to eat!

We are locals in this area and regularly visit at the weekend for lunch, we were there today to have carvery sandwiches, the quality of the food has definitely gone down, the service and hygiene unacceptable. The display of food unsightly nothing looked fresh and dried out. The drinks fridge was so low the drinks were not even cold I had to ask for a colder drink. The tables and chairs worn out and floor is full of crumbs. People don't deserve this, I urgently call this to be looked into.

A warm and welcoming hidden gem of a pub on the new river! We've been a few times for various meals with our newborn and we've always been well looked after (even after an accidental drinks spill!) and had a lovely meal. Looking forward to coming back many times in the future.
