Amazing pub friendly atmosphere only been there twice but I think the staff are amazing, accommodating and VERY patient. I would like to give Chris Johnny and Patsy awards for their standards of service if it was in my power.

Re visted after some time away. Great service, friendly staff, and good food. Would most certainly be returning again

What a beautiful location contrasted by the shocking and ugly rudeness of the (nameless) manager on duty. My self and my fiancée visited this pretty pub on Sunday 2nd Feb '25 to enquire about having our wedding gathering there. We'd already emailed the pub and phoned several times with zero response, hence the visit. We approached the manager with our friendly, smiling enquiry only to be met with his cagey, hostile and contemptuous response. It felt like we were accusing him of a crime rather than offering him our custom. He explained that his boss had been away and may or may not answer our enquiries and when we asked (for reference reasons) the name of his manager, he refused to give it to us!!! Unsurprisingly, he also refused to give us his own name! (Perhaps he is in hiding for poor customer services!!!)

Brilliant pub with excellent food, drinks, & service, at reasonable prices. Plus the pub itself is very cozy and the views are beautiful. It’s super pet friendly here and the bartender noticed we had our dog and brought her a bowl of water. It’s also kid friendly and our 3yr old was very happy of an afternoon here. I am genuinely surprised that the overall review number is not higher, so please don’t let that put you off as it’s a true gem in the heart of Enfield Town.

We held out Christmas party at the Crowne and Horseshoes in Enfield. The festive decorations were lovely, food was delicious and Luis & his staff looked after us all evening.

Served tonight by Chris, the AM himself, very entertaining and engaging, I came out tonight with my boyfriend and his family and we enjoyed our time, the food and the atmosphere. Very comfortable and welcoming, I'd very much recommend visiting. We also taste tested the caramel sauce and we give a big thumbs up 👍

A good meal out with work colleagues. Good value for money and friendly serviceThe staff were very helpful and assisted me with booking my leaving do for 25 people. They guided me how to book the correct seating because we were not having the Christmas menu. Throughout the evening they cheerfully served us drinks and food as and when needed. An enjoyable time was had by everyone

Excellent pub tucked away in quiet residential area alongside canal. Visited following afternoon out nearby and loved the cozy country atmosphere with outdoor heated garden with fire pit. Great selection of drinks and dining options. Special thanks to the attentive team who gave us a great service from the moment we walked in.

Sat in the restaurant with my siste, husband and brother in law. Had a fantastic time. Welcoming friendly outgoing. Allowing us to sit and relax enjoying the company. Will say the building does need to have some major renovation. But Chris and Mia are a credit to the business

I don't remember their names. One started with a C one an M. They bounce well off each other. Keeping the building alive, guests happy and everywhere clear. Love coming here. Hope it gets. Refit soon, though.

Went for a Sunday roast today which was probably the worst one I’ve ever had - dry, clearly microwaved, the meat was not cooked properly and drenched in a store bought/ instant type gravy. On top of this we got overcharged and had to ask twice for a refund, no reaction the first time around- this second request was fulfilled without an apology or an acknowledgment. Incredibly poor customer service. It’s a real shame as the pub has a beautiful beer garden and is in a very nice location.

A warm and welcoming hidden gem of a pub on the new river! We've been a few times for various meals with our newborn and we've always been well looked after (even after an accidental drinks spill!) and had a lovely meal. Looking forward to coming back many times in the future.

The Etc Morris Men and friends danced here to celebrate our 50 years of performing during mid September. Luis and the team were extremely hospitable and accommodating in making room for us to perform outside on the patio area (clearing away tables and a fire pit for us). The beer was great, and the staff friendly. We very much look forward to performing here again.

We recently had our children’s christening celebration at the Crown and Horseshoe and we’re so pleased we chose this pub. Luis and his team were very accommodating, friendly and efficient. We were able to put up decorations, use the large, family friendly garden, choose foods to accommodate all of our mixed aged guests and add on a hot drinks option. Everyone had a lovely time and commented on the beautiful location. Thank you to the Crown and Horseshoe team!

A lovely pub nestled back by the New river - with really nice staff. Dog friendly. Quite a big garden area as well, and while there is a lot of space and tables out there, they don't seem to have playground equipment or bells and whistles out there. Nice and simple lovely garden for food or drinks on a nice day. The food is similar - straight forward pub food, and I felt it was a good value. Its not a gastro pub type of place - it is standard pub grub done well, by friendly and attentive staff, that seems to enjoy being there and take pride in the place. It's lovely. Just what I was hoping to find on a leisurely Sunday afternoon with the family. The type of place I'll head back to sometime soon... Not because there was something amazing about it... Just because it is nice and cozy and lots and lots of little things just right. Thanks to all the folks working there that were so friendly and nice.

Came here for my friends leaving drinks on Friday night. The place is huge! Spacious on the inside but they’ve got a nice big beer garden outside. Their drinks are nice, I went for Neck Oil and Asahi on the tap - both tasted nice. Shame they start giving the drinks in plastic cups at the end of the night and they close a little early for my liking. Nevertheless, food and service was amazing. I’m not from the area but I’d definitely come here again if I ever come to Enfield again.

Me and my mum came here a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it! So we came back and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is comfortable and the place is clean and tidy. Staff were very attentive and checked back on all parts of our meal. Mia and Chanel were exceptional and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning. We both had a BBQ chicken wrap which was on a lunch deal and the pricing is decent and I believe you get value for money. There is a huge garden if you want do drink or dine outside.

The atmosphere was nice. The service was good once we were sat down, but had to wait a while for anyone to come over to see us. The restaurant and tables etc were all clean but the toilets were absolutely awful.

Terrible place scruffy staff tables left dirty very slow service. I wouldn’t think of eating there as they keep telling customers it is an hour and half wait for food as they are short staffed. It is also thr most expensive pub in Enfield.

We had lunch for 10, including 2 children. Food and service were excellent. I would certainly recommend The Crown and Horseshoes

I recently moved to the area and have been trying out the different pubs. I’d say this is one of the best beer gardens in Enfield as it’s actually in the sunshine unlike a lot of the others which don’t get a lot of sunshine directly on the pub garden. It’s also in a beautiful location just off the little canal. Previously I’ve tried the food here and was very pleasantly surprised, they also have a fantastic drink selection.

What a pub. On the largest Canal known to man. The Panama Canal pails in significance compared to the Crown and Horses. Englands finest. Must visit.

The manager that works there should be fired. I was watching a match with my friends and he kicked me out because I forgotten my ID at home. I didn’t have any alcoholic drinks and he still decided to kick me out. Absolute foolishness

I left my high quality umbrella here and it was missing. It was very clear that it belongs to me as we just changed tables. They told me they take care of missing items but mine is somehow missing?!??! I have to walk back home under the rain. Don’t trust them.

I felt so welcomed and at home in this pub. The beer garden was so so lovely. I lived in Enfield since I was young but I hadn’t been back for 10 years and I found this place out of the blue. Such a good find. I will be back

A great place to watch the euros with screens in the garden. There is plenty of space outside for kids to run about in too.

The absolute worst service with staff that don't know what they are doing it's a shame as it's a nice pub but the staff need training.

I excepted more atmosphere for the England game. Everyone was quite and not very friendly

Absolutely disgusting. I went to the toilet to relieve myself and I got kicked out of the pub. Sexual profiling unprofessional language towards the customers, homophobia, would never go again disgusting. Extremely provocative and disrespectful. Refused to listen to my side of events and was kicked out with no explanation and no valid reasoning. I am absolutely appalled by the unwelcoming and homophobic attitude of the staff.

Lovey atmosphere, friendly staff but poorly sized adult portions especially the chips and the turkey was soggy. My respectful advice is to make the gravy optional in the Sunday roasts as some people don’t like it👍🏻

We love the food there. Everything has been good. Lots of lovely corners, nooks and crannies inside and a great garden. We love the Sunday evening Quiz.

We had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday. There were 7 of us. Staff were brilliant and very attentive. Food was tasty. We had a very enjoyable evening. Thanks again to the staff - you're great. We will be back.

It is a great place to meet family and friends, plus have lunch.

The pub has a nice garden. The service is quite poor when busy. Very long queues at the bar. Food takes ages, When they deliver, they tell you to get your own cutlery and sauces. When you collect there is no cutlery or serviettes and not staff to be seen. Limited vegetarian choices.

I visited the pub early, around midday. The service was excellent and also the food.Loved the whole ambience . You must try the pies!

Horrendous service, warm bottled beer Popped in with friends and had to join a queue to get a drink which is absolutely ridiculous, doubled up my order so that I didn't have to go bad for a while and the 2 bottled beers that I ordered were warm even though they came out of the fridge. When it was time to go to the bar again the queue was longer so we decided to go somewhere else. Staff were trying their best but looked totally stressed out. There seemed to be some sort of bar in the beer garden which if open would have taken some pressure off the staff inside

I was just at the Crown & Horseshoes in Enfield yesterday evening for some light bites and we were impressed with the starters that they serve. My boyfriend had the garlic mushrooms, which I stole a taste from...😇 they were a creamy delight, with just the right hint of garlic, not overpowering but confidently present. 🍄 I had the beef croquettes which were equally impressive, a crispy exterior giving way to succulent beef that was seasoned to perfection. 🧆😋 This pub certainly knows how to start a meal right! We will definitely be back again! 🍽

The burgers were burnt, there was a broken light hanging above where I was sitting, and the staff were very rude. Do not come here.

Please change the name of your Signature BBQ burger to Charcoal Surprise. Absolutely gobsmacked with the quality of the food served over on Saturday. Even after complaining we still received a burnt burger again ! Shocking

Really nice pub and area. Great range of beers. But I feel like there's some management issues. I came here quite recently and witnessed this male worker attempt to embarrass and belittle this sweet girl for no apparent reason ? Definitely was not professional or appropriate

Had our daughters birthday celebration there tonight for 23 people, staff and service was superb. Thank you Rebecca, Johnny and Luis, a great night was had by all. Excellent VFM for food and drink definitely recommend a visit.

A great little pub in the heart of Enfield. You could easily walk straight past it. A warm welcoming atmosphere ample dining areas inside and out. We didn't eat on this occasion but will definitely give it a try in the future.

So impressed. Great choice on the menu and all eight of us agreed that the food was very good. But even better, the service. Nothing was too much trouble. Really couldn't have asked for a better experience for lunch on my 68th birthday

New drinks & cocktails. 2018: Lovely place, great for families, esp during the summer there’s a massive garden outside. They do Sunday roast, vegetarian food as well, loads of chicken dishes. They have children’s menu from £ 4.99. Main dishes around £13+. Great to get into with buggy. There’s a baby changing table. Nowhere really to park, so best to walk. There’s Tv with sport. A lovely place xx

A quaint pub in suburban London. Cheap drinks and good food. A hidden little gem.

It was a great evening. However, the staff was not really friendly nor accommodating. They collected money for a raffle which never drawn. Around 9 pm, they told us they would be shutting the garden, and we must enter the building, which was like a bakery without the aircon. I'm not sure why they couldn't specify the reason why they close the garden so early given the fact scorching temperature. Then the staff informs the kitchen is closed. Comes near 11pm, the pub lights go off to indicate that they were shutting. What's going on these days? Crown and Horse shoe was one of my favourite places to have a drink and chill with my mates. I'm not so sure now. May be the management need to re think their strategy in customer service.
