The Skylight Restaurant in Enfield

Slow service and bought 2 carvery sandwiches for £16. Not worth it. Hardly any filling and it took me so long to pay everything was cold. Avoid.

We are locals in this area and regularly visit at the weekend for lunch, we were there today to have carvery sandwiches, the quality of the food has definitely gone down, the service and hygiene unacceptable. The display of food unsightly nothing looked fresh and dried out. The drinks fridge was so low the drinks were not even cold I had to ask for a colder drink. The tables and chairs worn out and floor is full of crumbs. People don't deserve this, I urgently call this to be looked into.

There is great food at a very reasonable price and the staff are always helpful.

Lovely place for a cake and coffee.

Absolutely disgusted. The ladies toilet was out of service . A very abrupt and quite rude salesman on the furniture department said "use the gents". This despite the fact that the gents toilet had 2 urinals in full view along with any occupants, of anyone wanting to use the WCs . This is totally unacceptable, embarrassing and not in the best interest of the customer mail or female. What should have been put in place was the closing of the urinals and the Gent's WCs being available on a unisex basis. Or to open the staff ladies toilet just around the corner. Pearsons , you need to sort this out .

Food is ok but by the time you have queued up to pay for it, it is cold. There must be a better system for when it is busy. I had a brie and cranberry panini and a coffee which was nice. Im diabetic and would have liked a choice of low sugar but not stevia or other artificial sweetener drinks cold drink, and may a bitesize cake like a canoli

Bacon Sandwich was stone cold. Coffee was fine . Will just have afternoon tea here in future

They forgot to bring my order , I had to go and remind them and collect my order myself. By then, my food had lost its freshness.

Had breakfast whilst stopping off during a shopping trip. The food was nice and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Lovely coffee made by a very friendly barrista. I would highly suggest that the garden furniture be binned or thoroughly cleaned.

The food was so fresh and tasty, I really enjoyed the meal I had with my son. The atmosphere was lovely and bright with the gorgeous glass ceiling and not to forget how super friendly and helpful all the staff were!! I left a happy customer!! Thank you!

It’s an ok restaurant that offers quite a good variety of food. The staff is nice but to get served and pay does take some time if there queue. Go for the fresh options as both the jacket potato and the carvery sandwich got positive remarks by my friends. However the fish salad was not fresh as it was prepared prior to ordering, so the salad was very dry and not very tasty. But the salmon in the salad was ok.

Poor service and food. I had scrambled eggs on toast with a black coffee. The toast was fine but the eggs were some of the most bland I've had. I'm not sure how it's possible to mess up eggs? The coffee was extremely mediocre. The lady who served me the eggs struggled to answer basic questions about the dishes leaving me feeling frustrated. The queue to pay was barely moving with staff struggling to operate the till or make coffee. The surroundings were nice.

Had an awesome brunch with my aunt Food was so much delicious. I will surely come again. Thanks to the chefs. The ambience of the place allowed for good conversations

Located at the topmost floor of Pearsons, this restaurant has a variety of options spread out for your choosing. The environment and/or setting is very airy or at least gives the impression though not outdoor. The menu covers traditional English breakfast, sandwiches, salads, Pastries, cakes, fish & chips etc. The kids are not left out with a variety of options to pick from including purees. Once choices are made and payments done, you get your cutlery from a side bar which also doubles as the condiment section. The menu items are not too expensive. I loved that there are ramps (2) available for both wheelchair and stroller access. These are not to far from the lift. There is a play area for toddlers and of course high chairs (which require a lot of cleaning before use). The staff are nice and helpful. Tables are wiped down after each customer.

Skylight bar is a hidden gem that everyone NEEDS to go to if they want a chilled fun night! I had such a blast yesterday! The staff behind the bar were SO nice and provided an a1 service!!! Everyone is just so smily and extremely helpful!!! Highly recommended. I’m currently planning my birthday there and I can not wait!!!😝

Good selection of Glutenfree cakes (see pictures) prices for once are cheaper than regular cakes which deserves a 5 star. Accessibility is top notch with lift access and ramps to get to the restaurant. Very helpful staff and nice place to have a hot chocolate and sit for a few minutes while shopping.

A simple menu in a wonderful setting with views across London. The penthouse location is impressive with great balcony area. The service was great. Lovely friendly people. I ordered the sourdough bread with quick fried broccoli and it was delicious. Relaxing atmosphere with stunning interiors. A great location for night time drinks and cocktails and summer meet ups on the spacious balcony.

I don't know what'a happened to the food at Skylight in Pearsons but it's certainly not at the standard it used to be. Dry and past fresh salad bar, overcooked jacket potatoes and almost burnt scones which were more like rock cakes. What happened to the individual quiches or salmon fillets with a fresh selection of salad? The rocket was wilting, cucumber slices were old and dry and coleslaw too sharp with vinegar. It's as if the food was prepared days ago. It's a shame as the seating area, is bright and clean but the food lets this restaurant down. We won't be coming back.

Slow service food ok nothing special

Very disappointing that they have air conditioning that has some kind of deodorant coming out of it and you can taste it in the food which is buffet style and open. I have mentioned this to them previously and it stopped. Now it has returned. I will check again next week but potentially harmful and who wants to eat food that tastes of deodorant!!

I went with two of my friends on the 29/04 as a little post COVID get together and we were not disappointed! It’s a perfect place for something a little special. Food and drink are amazing and would highly recommend the cocktails. I have to give a special mention to our waiter Malique who was the most friendly and attentive waiter you could ask for, always keeping our drinks full and kept the laughs going. Definitely will go back!!! Make sure to check out the photo booth for a little keepsake.

Lovely and cozy space with sky view. Friendly and helpful staff. I ordered a hot chocolate milk with cream and it was so tasty. I had a very relaxing time in here!

Always a ridiculous queue. Staff inept especially the assistant manager. Won’t honour the loyalty card if THEY have not stamped it in exactly the right place THEMSELVES. Avoid.

As a vegetarian there is not a lot of choice in this restaurant, so I chose jacket potato with cheese, only to find when I sat down the cheese was moldy, there was no other option of replacement, I was given a quiche and a refund,

Pearson’s have several adverts around the store advertising the ‘wide range of gf cakes’ this is untrue! They have limited supplies. They also advertise gf bread on request. This is untrue as rarely have on request. Disappointing! With very few gf options in Enfield, they should not mislead in their advertising.

This is my second visit to this restaurant and I should have stopped at my first! Dirty seating area, food prep areas are also dirty, service is poor and slow and it is heavily over priced, will not return.

Visit this restaurant at least once or twice a month we have been doing so for a number of years now, however we have to say that the service of the staff behind the carvery section is slow and needs updating. The food is great, we tend to have the carvery sandwich I’ve also had the salad a couple of times and that’s also just as good. Unfortunately the staff literally just put food on a plate there is no experience of kitchen restaurants or Customer Service. We went last Saturday once again same old faces behind the hot food section, (no sausages for the sausage and mash, this was at 12:10 on a Saturday afternoon)on the carvery again no real experience apart from one chap who has restaurant and bar experience as I asked him the lady poor thing just shoved food on a plate as she would at home. The lady serving teas and coffees on Saturday lunchtime has absolutely no customer service I changed my mind very quickly from a coffee to a cappuccino she huffed. when I asked for a clean cup for the tea again she looked at me as if I asked for the world. It’s a real shame this venue just needs a quick reboot reactivating of staff and try basic training. However this would not stop me going again as it’s convenient clean food is good.

This restaurant lets down the superb customer service within Pearson's Dept store. I visited for lunch with a family member. The staff were rude and too busy chatting amongst themselves to take note of our requests. A jacket potato was slung onto each of our plates and the wrong toppings and salads were displayed on and around them. When I remarked on this, a hand descended onto my plate and removed the unwanted items. It was bad enough that this was unhygienic but it showed a lack of training, exceptional rudeness and a total disregard for the customer (some who like myself have been visiting the restaurant for 20 years plus). It is sad to see the restaurant being represented so badly by the staff because the location and airy feel to it is very inviting and also the food and cleanliness used to be exemplary. This is no longer the case.

visited here after a shopping spree, welcomed by the staff who seem friendly . decided to try the beer battered fish and chips which was really nice and tasty and for dessert a summer fruit gateaux ... a good little place to stop off for...
