Wok U Like Chinese takeaway in Christchurch

I ordered the fried chicken balls and the chicken chao mein and let me tell you, it was absolutely splendid. I really reccomend the fried chicken balls with either curry or sweet and sour sauce because the flavour complements with the chicken balls which are very tasty indeed. The chicken chao mein was very amazing with a various ingredients adding flavour to the noodles. Food definitely is a 5 star! The atmosphere of the story itself is very nice using yellow and black branding colors which works really well. I did a takeout and the service was very good giving you a bag to carry all the food you ordered. If you want the tasty of amazing chinese food, I recommend going to Wok U Like a very good place to eat! Definitely going to come back to eat again.

Came here with my family for a Chinese and was blown away, good service from a lovely boy at the counter. Also gave updates regarding my order which was delivered nice and quickly. Definitely would recommend.

I've ordered a takeaway with gluten free dishes today and was very impressed. They have accommodated my needs with no problem, the food was tasty (you couldn't tell it was gf), delivery swift (even though quite far), no reaction (I'm coeliac) which indicates the kitchen is hygienic. Very happy and will be ordering again. Thank you

Had a take away and not very happy. I ordered chicken in black bean and steamed vegetables. Over half of my meal was Onions and sliced Water chestnuts . Loads of Onions in both dishes. I ended up feeling sick. Not at all happy. One piece of broccoli and a couple of slices of carrot It's not right.

Absolutely superb vegetarian options. Adds so much flexibility when sharing dishes with my veggie girlfriend. The veggie chicken satay was just like the real thing, as well as the veggie chicken chow mein. Looking forward to trying the others! The food was very fresh, not too salty and still hot on arrival. Polite gentleman called us to let us know the food was running slightly late, which was very appreciated. Found my new regular Chinese takeaway.

If you've ever been looking for a Chinese and you wanna find one where they will happily change something in the menu this is your place I absolutely cannot stand soya sauce and they will happily make any of the Chow mean dishes without it

Our favourite Chinese. Always well cooked and presented and very yummy. We had a problem with our order on a walk in order which they fixed and drove out a replacement. Very happy and will use again. Recommend to all friends and family.

Always use them, great food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the service has really gone down hill. I had to wait over 2 hours for my order this week and had to ring the shop and was told it was on it's way. Unfortunately I was still waiting 30 minutes after my call. So in short the food was great but delivery needs sorting out.

Ordered 2 crispy chilli chicken and it was inedible. Absolutely smothered in sweet chilli sauce. So much that the batter was soggy. Very strange smell to the food too. Won't be ordering from there again.

Always do my curry hotter than usual Curry's as like nice bit of heat when delivered drivers always where a mask and I can't complain

I have used this chinese for a long time as it is close to us. For the first tkme last month we waited 2 hours for a delivery, when it arrived there were no pancakes to go with the duck, we were told they woukd be 5 minutes as they realised the mistake and had left already. They never arrived. Yesterday i went into the shop put an order in and booked a 6.30 pm delivery i was assured this would be fine i checked several times that this was ok. Tonight 6.45 still no food i called the shop and was told the food left the shop at 6.30! For a 6.30 delivery it should have left at 6.20? I explained we had not received any food she said she would call driver. Delivery artived at 7 pm the driver was given a completely different address to what i had written down for them. Terrible service, food was cold had to heat it all up. No apology. The 2 stars are for food only. Have clear issues with delivery or recording address i will not be using them again and if they do not sort delivery out i predict a lot of people will not use them. Not good business with another chines a few foors up!

Tasty take away food, large portions and quick service. Ordered the banquet for two, and was impressed with the quality and value.

Absolutely beautiful food cooked fresh to order. We are here on holiday and this is the first place we head for. Have had 2 lovely meals so far this visit. The shop is very clean and the staff are all very polite, friendly and helpful also good to see them all wearing face coverings and being very careful with covid. Would highly recommend this place and only wish they were in our hometown.

Just had a £30 meal delivery. Unfortunately substandard. Whoever put the steamed rice in the tub must have done so knowing it was hugely overcooked and porridge-like. Worst of all, the king prawn curry had zero prawn but bits of chicken skin. Yuck

I used to go to Tim's cuisine until I found work u like and I've ordered from there many times and not just the same dishes each time and I can say I've never had a bad meal out of there ever!

I ordered 5 dishes last week and every dish was brilliant. Tonight I thought I'd get a take away from this place just to find every dish wasnt even warm.

1 hour delivery time for one main course some rice and a soup on a Tuesday?? What the hell is the ETA on a Friday or Saturday?? And then they can’t find your address, after one hour. 0.5 miles away from the shop and the delivery isn’t free either. Food was nice apart from the prawn crackers which tasted of nothing and not nice like eating dust. Justeat was partly to blame as it changed the expected time without updating me and there’s no option to cancel and get your money back or credit to use on another takeaway when you see it’s going to be too long like you can in London with deliveroo or ubereats.

Very good Nice and tasty. Definitely revisit.

Everytime we have been in the area we have gone here. Never disappoints

So placed an order and the with mrs being vegan she wanted the fried rice with no egg and now this is the second time ordering this and second time getting egg in it. It’s a simple request which shouldn’t be hard to do. Otherwise their food is great.

Only a small meal chicken chow mien was hot and tasty. Chicken tender and plenty of it. Cooked fresh and quick.

If you like Chinese food then you should like anything from here. The salt and pepper chicken is particularly nice, as are the Singapore noodles. 45 mins on average for delivery and the food always arrives hot. It has changed management several times but it's never affected the quality.

Curry sauce like mud/gravy.. not spicy as requested and egg fried rice seemed like boiled rice. 2 quid for delivery when only 0.3 miles away and should of had free spring rolls when ordering over £15- didmt recieved them.

Excellent food. Clean and tidy.

Good food.. Nice guys.. But have made several mistakes with orders in the past and now they charge you 50p extra if you want to pay by card, which i find really annoying..

Crispy beef and lemon chicken was delicious. Has a food standards hygiene rating of 5, the highest possible rating. Delivery took 45 mins to Highcliffe.
