Wok U Like in Broxbourne

I'm new to the area, and this was one of the first takeaways I tried. I'm so happy I did. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I felt welcome from the moment I stepped inside. The food is delicious. Portion sizes are great, and service is rapid. I always collect as I'm fairly close, so I'm not sure about how their deliveries work, but this is a 10 out of 10 place. Highly recommend

Always lovely staff but last 4 meals got worse and worse- sad

Worst Chinese ever. Food was disgusting I would have rather thrown my money in the bin. I told them I only had a £50 note yet the delivery person didn’t have enough change he said he will deduct the £1.90 or something off of the next order. It’s not the money they can keep it but there won’t be another order from me. The sweet and sour veg were just pink water. I will order from taste of china in future. I’m considering looking into who I can complain to. Daylight robbery. My advice would be do not order from wok u like. If zero stars were possible then that’s what they would get. The lady that took the order was very nice but that’s where it ends. The above is solely my opinion.

Great experience at Wok U Like last weekend. We popped in as we were passing on our way back to our holiday lodge at Dobbs Weir. The staff were very friendly and welcoming & thoroughly enjoyed our food. Plenty to go around between the 6 of us. Even gave some freebies and brought out to the car for us. Would recommend 👌

Not wanting to cook on Friday ordered delivery of set menu R2 the lady who took the order was very cheerful the delivery was quick the food was hot and tasty with what we thought was good value. We'll be back.

I regularly order: Stir Fried Beef and Mushroom with Potatoes with Salt, Chilli & Garlic (without Chilli), and my favorite dish in Broxbourne - Wok U Like Special Chow Mein (without pork and chicken, just beef and prawns, too much meat otherwise =) ) I highly recommend trying it. It's also worth noting the friendly staff. They are always ready to help with your choice and recommend dishes from the extensive menu.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had, greasy burnt and Couldn’t eat it, sauces were like water with no flavour, will not order again

I've been here on a few occasions now and tried several different dishes, the food is amazing and the service is also very good, even though they have to cook the food while you wait, it's never been more than 10 minutes and often much less. It is a little bit cold inside the shop but they do have a heater which they offered to turn on for me, but I told them I was fine. I definitely recommend this takeaway! Just wish it was a little closer to my home so I could have the food delivered, but I'm glad I can pick it up on my way home.

I’ve ordered from here a few times. My rice was massively overcooked today, soft and sticky, fell off the fork in one big clump, the grains would not even separate. I called the restaurant and explained and they said they would send the driver back with a replacement. That was at 10pm. And here I am at 10:54. No one turned up, no one called, no one is answering the phone so I’m £12 down with no dinner and they’re closed for the next 2 days. I will be heading there as soon as they are open to get my money back but I actually can’t believe they’ve done this.

Food took ages and when it arrived it was luke warm and there were items missed off the order.. NEVER AGAIN

Picked up a 90£ delivery from WOK U LiKe wormley. Rice not fresh, crispy shreddedbeef not crispy, PRAWN CRACKERS soft after 5mins gut started to turn. Never going back again. First and last. Being stared down by chefs in kitchen give off the best atmosphere either. However the girl on phone was somewhat ok and could understand English. If you like sub standard Chinese then it’s for you.

I used to love this Chinese food but from 2022 it started to go downhill. And then I stopped ordering because it didn’t taste the same. However on 04.08.23 I really fancied some Chinese so ordered from Wok U Like. And sad to say it was very very low standard of Chinese takeaway and the food has further declined in taste and quality. Will be looking for a new proper Chinese takeaway.

Ordered takeaway and gave driver cash even though it had already been taken from my card. Driver informed his boss, boss called me to make sure driver hadn't asked for payment ( he hadn't, I asked how much and paid him) boss assured me I would have my money delivered back on next delivery in my area. Cannot ask for better service than that. Very impressed 👏 👌

Terrible taste and terrible chef. I asked to make with no pork special fried rice, and the chef repeated ok no pork but then still made the dish with pork! Made the dish again without pork, but it tasted like pork, he didn't change the pan that pork in it. The special fried rice was bland and tastless.

3 of us shared a meal from here, all 3 of us now ill. Should have checked their food hygiene rating before I ordered. What a mistake. Will never order from here again.

Had a problem with delivery but the manager couldn’t have been more sorry and they delivered food and sincerely apologised and have given discount off next order. Food tasty!x

Placed order at 6:15pm was told would be 50 minutes, got to 7:30pm I called to ask where it is, they stated the driver left 10 minutes ago but has other deliveries on route (Only 15 minutes late but these things happen). Food arrived at 8:10pm that’s 2 hours after their recommended “50 minutes” for food and no doubt it was not even warm, undoubtedly so being with the driver for 50 minutes!!

Quite possibly the worst experience I’ve had. Charged an extra £3 delivery charge, that was not stated, on door and being shouted at by the delivery driver, missing parts of order and not satisfied with the food I actually received, Luke-warm and overall not satisfied. Not coming back and would definitely not recommend .

DISGUSTED service…. Not only did I pay for my food delivery, it took TWO HOURS to get here… manager had a attitude and when I told him I’m recording the call he put the phone down in my ear! I will NEVER EVER come back to this restaurant I will NEVER recommend it to anyone. PATHETIC service honestly.

Best Chinese around Cheshunt/Turnford. Never had a bad meal from here !

1 star for Fried rice. cannot be considered fried rice. No garlic, no ginger, no spring onion, hardly any soy sauce. No flavour. Barely fried. Came with prawns so bland and pale. Seemed like they were added after rice was cooked. Learn how egg fried rice is made guys. Have some repect for your business and customers.

Noodles came uncooked, looks like they have just come out a packet. Didn’t even offer a refund

Ordered about 5 different things from menu for delivery and arrived within 30 minutes. The Green Thai curry had very spongy chicken. The Singapore fried rice noodles were abit bland. The pot of sweet n sour sauce was too small for the portion of chicken balls!!!....the pancake roll was ok along with the fried ginger n garlic beef. Overall disappointed 3 dishes out if 5 were not up to scratch and spending upto 30 quid I find this unacceptable. Shame. I won't rate too low as they are a fairly new branch.

I've had good experiences ordering only a king prawn fried rice but today I've decided to order something else and it was disgusting. The special fried rice didn't look like it. And the food didn't feel like it was cooked fresh.

Since it's been under new management everything as been perfect. Best Chinese takeaway in all of wormley. I would highly recommend them
