Wok on Flame in Gloucester

I have been here only a few times the food is amazing. The drawback is having to time when you come as every visit only one person cooking and on my recent visit waited half an hour for food whilst deliveries came and collected whilst waiting and bubble teas made too. The one person I only ever seen who serves and cooks is lovely though he needs more help in the day as I can't comment if more people working at night. Though you can eat in the environment and surroundings do need a really good clean. I will come again as value for money and gear food but plan to visit when less busy or order in advance

We ordered some egg noodles from here and boba and was surprisingly pleased with how fresh Everything was it was a good portioned size unfortunately I would say the price for the boba was a bit high but regardless it didn’t disappoint would 100% recommend

Went today while visiting town, really tasty and authentic food. Way better option than the franchises. He catered for allergies and knew what he was talking about. The food tastes fresh!

It says here that our food was delivered at 9:20pm. It was actually delivered at 9:50. We ordered before 8:30pm. It was really disappointing as this is our go-to takeaway. When we tried to call multiple times to ask where our food was, there was no answer. This makes me not want to order from you again.

I used to be a regular customer until yesterday! I usually buy chocolate boba, but yesterday I bought a matcha bubble tea with Tapioca pearls for £4.50 and it literally tasted like FISH! It was horrible. I couldn't take a second sip from it and I complained to the people who the own place and there were like "have you had matcha from here before, because we haven't changed the powder". But I have tried matcha from other places and I am sure it doesn't taste like fish anywhere. Googled it and told them it's the problem of the powder, and still they weren't ready to offer to make me another drink or refund the money.

On time right to the last minute. The dlivery guy is always pleasant. I order the same thing every time but for the last 2 orders, I've noticed the taste has changed a lot and I don't like it that much. Looks like packaging has changed to a smaller box too. Sadly I don't think I'll order again.

You know food is amazing, when you don’t have much evidence to show for it; I ordered the beef udon, and it was outstanding! Words don’t do it justice; seriously, so damn good! 🤤❤️

Best food in Gloucester! Been eating here for years, great family that run it, food all fresh and cooked before your eyes. Lots of delicious options, dairy free options, bubble tea etc. Great value for money! Like Wok to Walk but more care taken in food prep. Top quality food that fills you up!

Absolutely love this place, ever since finding it me and my partner come here alot. The family that owns this business are incredibly kind and offer top notch service. We Absolutely love seeing the family sat together eating, it feels like a family restaurant. (Loved it when you little girl brought you the phone when it was ringing). The food is amazingly cooked with good flavour and multiple choice of meats and vegs along with extras. Very good value for money as i find myself finishing every box wanting more even though my belly is full. Special note to the male that cooked my food today, thank you for bringing out foos to the table and being so polite. It goes a very long way to make the service that much better. (im the one who wore a black beanie hat and grey top) Would rate higher if i could. Thanks again!

The glos wok on flame. An awfully long wait for a delicious Thai milk bubble tea. Place feels a bit like it needs a good scrub and clean (the walls, the chairs etc).

Halbe Stunde gewartet für eine Imbiss-Box! Bestellt waren Eiernudeln mit Brokkoli Geschmacklich lasch. Nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

Not really impressed. Tasted like it was cooked in old oil, tiny amount of ingredients other than noodles and drink was warm. I was hoping it was going to be good, so quite disappointed.

As good as usual BUT I ordered X2 duck and compared to when I ordered this before I really don't think they added the 2nd portion I paid for. Disappointed.

I received my order which tasted mediocre and I had food poisoning - spent the whole day vomiting with a fever and stomach cramps.

We are regular customers but tonight my order was appalling. There was no egg or bean sprouts it was claggy and inedible. It was also only half full even though I paid full price. I rang the shop and the girl said she could do nothing and to ring the manager tomorrow but in the meantime I basically had no dinner. I will never order from here again. Complete waste of money inedible food and no help when you complain.

Great food as usual but 1hr45min wait so make sure to order way in advance aka before you start getting hungry.

Unfortunately had to delete my 5* review in relation to the Cheltenham branch. On opening it was great but since one of the guy employees is no longer there and mostly ran by a young girl it is terrible. I have left posting this for 3 occasions now as I don’t like to write poor reviews but I’ve had to wait over 45 minutes just for a stir fry. I’ve also had to wait 35 minutes when I’m the only one in the store and the first order. The young girl also prioritises things that can wait? Whilst cooking my food, someone came in so she turned off the wok and went to chat with them then recooked my food after 15 minutes???? The store is also now smelling of mould off food and the fruit flies are around? I personally cannot see old food but it must mean it’s around somewhere! Please get your act together as this place used to be great.

Really fresh, made on the spot. Pick your own base and topping and sauce. Was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.

The food was delicious and was ready quick. Friendly, hard working staff. Would like for there to have been music to add ambiance to the restaurant but other than that everything is amazing.

Visited the Cheltenham one and it was absolutely amazing! Super flavoursome, prices were great too, service was very friendly, and there’s so many choices to choose from! Definitely worth visiting!

Just went to the new store in Cheltenham. Easily the best noodles in Cheltenham, good, simple options for the menu and some great hot sauce. Just overall great clear information for ordering, friendly guy behind the counter and I will 100% be going again.

Food was nice and hot, great flavour. Would order again. Have put that it was late as it arrived 15 mins after it said it was delivered. But as i said I would order again as the food was good.

Really good food and nice portions, only one thing I would say was negative is there isn’t much sauce with the noodles and I think customers should be given a pot of sauce to put on themselves or even have the choice to buy more. But as I said really nice food and will order again

An unassuming little place that provides one of the tastiest takeaways (or eat in). Love their wholemeal rice, chicken and hot sauce combo. Kids love the boba tea as well.

Very hard to tell the difference between the teriyaki and the Sweet & Sour flavors. You could say Delicate but, I would rather say Dam Near Tasteless.. Lot of money wasted. Won't be ordering again.

Delicious stir fry noodle eatery in the centre of Gloucester. This place saves me from driving to Bristol every week/fortnight to visit Wok to Walk as their menu has pretty much been replicated by Wok on Flame (not that I’m complaining). The prices seem fair but it can add up if you add extras. I’ve spent £15 on one box by adding additional veg so if there’s one thing they can improve on, it would be their pricing as it doesn’t seem fair to be paying that much for onions & peppers etc with your noodles. Overall, a really warm and cosy please to eat and service is excellent so I will continue to visit but will limit myself with the extras. Kinda gone downhill since it first opened. Quality gone down and inconsistent opening times - disappointing.

Awful. Sorry but I'm amazed they're still in business if the junk that was delivered to us is their norm. Burnt, stodgy. Didn't get the extras we paid for. Really bad

The portion size for the noodles is really good and worth the money. Whilst I did enjoy the taste it sort of blended in together all I could taste was the sauce. Don’t order the tapioca bubble tea. All the tapioca was one congealed mess that could not be drank through a straw. I ended up drinking a third then using a fork to get the rest out. All in all this was edible but I wouldn’t order from here again.

I ordered and paid for extra water chestnuts in my meal however I was disappointed to find when my food arrived there were none in there!

Store didn’t answer the phone , I rang 13 times over the course of 45 minutes to try ask them to remove an item due to an intolerance and no one answered, I will not be using again , poor customer service , went in the bin

If you feel like becoming a pensioner before getting your food, you have came to the right place. I went in, with my face freshly shaved and ordered my food. After 40 years of waiting for my food, I asked if they had forgotten my order, which they had. 10 years later, my food was ready but they had rushed and forgotten man's prawns. So 50 years later, I walk out, looking like Gandalf, wondering if I'll ever see my prawns. Nice food, but you'll probably be dead before you ever get it.

I don’t believe these reviews prior to mine have stepped foot in the actual shop. It smells mouldy there isn’t a single clean surface. No lids on any food and didn’t see the young lady wash her hands once. We walked in didn’t even get a smile. Told rudely too order “behind us” there is even a goldfish in a plastic container floating around some murky water. Disgusting and won’t be going again

I go here regularly when I’m home from university. Maybe once every 1-2 weeks. The food is so delicious especially for a small place like that. It’s fresh and simple and I love going here for a little treat. I also really like their bubble teas. And their staff are friendly and polite. I have nothing bad to say about this establishment. Honestly would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheeky yummy meal. And good for vegans because you basically tell them want you want it in and they let you know what you can’t have. Very nice. 10/10

The best authentic food you are incredible

Very disappointed with the quality this time… the broccoli was yellow and foul tasting as it was well past it’s best…. The satay didn’t even taste of peanuts and the whole two dishes I ordered were well below par….. what a shame… it’s put me off ordering from them again and the first time it was really nice! And they forgot my drink

The food is great, when it is cooked fresh, but the delivery just isn't up to scratch! Standard wait Is 1hr30, several times we have waited over 2hours and when calling to check. they believed 1hr30 to be a reasonable standard time. The food industry isn't that great in the UK, but it is unacceptable to have a restaurant making people wait that long. Its called fast food for a reason. Speed up.

The food was great, I loved it. But the young girl on the phone was very abrupt. No telephone manners. I would ask for a change to an order and she just said "OK" and then went silent. Very confusing. The food was also estimated to be delivered between 22:00 and 22:20. It arrived 22:58. I will order again, but I will order ahead of time

The girl that took our money and used the cash register had no gloves and did not wash her hands when going back to prepare food with no gloves on.. oh and by the way the food was so overcooked it had turned to mush.. WE THREW THE FOOD IN THE BIN AND HAD TOAST... WONT BE BACK
