We ordered food through the local food delivery service, and paid £25 for a special fried rice, beef fried rice, sweet and sour sauce and a curry sauce. What could possible go wrong with such a simple order? Well, just about everything TBH. The food was completely dreadful with tinned ham (spam!) as the ham, tasteless, slimy meat that could have been just about anything, the sweet and sour sauce was more like lightly flavoured vinegar and the curry was very hot. The rice was greasy and, to add insult to injury, unlike just about any good chinese take away, there were no prawn crackers. I nibbled mine (it was getting late and i was hungry) my wife ate a couple of bites and then we binned it. I actually felt sorry for our bin having to contain culinary garbage of the lowest possible quality. Go anywhere but there!

I’m glad I didn’t check the reviews before ordering from here tonight or I probably wouldn’t have done. I ordered 3 dishes and some fried rice. The food was all really tasty - with a good kick of heat in the spicier dish. I called the takeaway as I needed to change something on my order and this was done without a problem. Two things … £2.60 for prawn crackers is obscene! And delivery is very slow. I understand (and prefer) the need to cook everything fresh but an hour and twenty minutes for delivery on a Tuesday night isn’t good.

Great portion sizes and great taste.

Ordered from here a few times now and it’s been pretty good. Ordered last night and the beef curry was awful. Chewy beef in a thin and flavourless sauce and no vegetables but a ton of onion. The char siu was a new try and again it was just tasteless. They are the most expensive around and give the smallest portions. I don’t think I’ll ever order again.

Ordered approx 17.45 for a 19.00 delivery this part was perfect! The food was absolutely terrible, the onions had NOT been peeled and just thrown in, same with the peppers, the chips had been cooked many, many times and lacked any flavour. The chicken skewers were terrible and full of sinus, beef fatty and the prawns weren’t cooked properly and to round it off the sauce was like water. We have ordered on and off for a long time, but this was the worst meal we have ever, ever had and will not be ever ordering from Wok Magic again, it was bloody awful !!

Hat gar to die for. Peking ribs yummy. Wonton soup lovely broth. Beef and bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Loads of water chestnuts but the sauce was bland and the beef very chewy tons of onions which were not mentioned on the menus. I love this place but not up to par tonight.

We waited and waited. We had to call not once but twice ton enquire about our order. To witness with our own incredulous eyes, the delivery screen suggesting food had just been delivered to us except it had not. Telephone call revealed the driver in reality had just left the take away. I have no idea if this is true or not. Shall we say Unimpressed is the first word coming to mind. The second being Disappointed. Not sure at all we shall order again. One thing is sure: the wait is not worth this hassle. Delivery driver reached our door at 20:11. Signed: Unhappy customers

Our guests liked very much the generous helpings of king prawns. I loved the sesame toasts as for once there were prawns to be found unlike other restaurants. I wish the mix veg fried rice was a teeny more spiced up. Same goes to the way too shredded crispy aromatic duck. Less shredding, more spice, allow your customer to slice the duck ourselves rather than deal with unappetising mince looking roasted duck. All in all, I liked very much this restaurant. And it has dim sums!!! so expect more comments as I plan to order again and again.

Ordered at 19:15 received my order 2 hours 40 minutes later 🤦🏻‍♂️. Even after ringing them to find out where my delivery was and when it was being sent, I was then told it had been cooked 10 minutes earlier and sat in a delivery bag and was waiting a courier. The courier turned up 30 minutes later which meant it had been sat around sweating in the bag for 40 minutes.

Do not order from here. Absolutely shocking food. Freezing cold and we live a 5 minute drive away. Would expect it to be warm for a £40 order. Owner lies about sending driver out. Nearly 2 hours wait.

Unfortunately was rather unwell after eating this meal. Not saying it is specifically here, however had stomach issues for 3 days after eating.

Ordered a takeaway away meal for my family costing £40 in a time of cost 9f living crisis whennpeople can't afford to throw away good money .I expect the food to turn up on time and hot! It turned up Luke warm and 40 minutes late! When we rang to enquire where it was and just got a generic answer machine ! So much for customer service! There was nothing special about the chefs special curry .The prawns were over cooked and rubbery the meat especially the beef was under cooked and chewy ...absolutely one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've eaten in along time . Will not use again ..

Disappointed! I can understand the 1 hour to cook and deliver. But for it to take another 30 minutes to deliver is ridiculous. The takeaway is less than 10 minutes away in a car. Had to call twice to check on the delivery status. Kept trying to assure me it was on its way. I said that the food would be cold when it arrived. I was told it would not be that bad as they deliver up to 4 addresses on a weekend. As predicted it was cold. If you can't find my house, use Google Maps! The best part of the meal was the prawn crackers. I wanted to use and support a local takeaway. I am sorry but i am disappointed! No excuse on a Thursday night.

Food has really gone down hill. Always used to be such a lovely Chinese. Rice was dry, crispy chicken in peking sauce was a breaded chicken bread in a pot full of what I can only described as looking like male bodily fluids 😂 wouldn’t recommend and certainly won’t be coming back! Very poor quality food and complete waste of money

Very nice, kids loved it, especially the custard bao buns.

Never been to this shop keep getting random phone calls from the number called back to see what’s going on and who’s phoning me and why I get spoken down to saying that the place never called me and all this and to go now. Never wanted them to call me never even been in that area just wanted to know what’s going on . Fix your customer service skills you can’t go around talking to people like that.

Tried for the first time today. Food was good. Salt and pepper chicken was good. Would be great if there was a little more chilli in it but that’s personal preference. Definitely the best I’ve had in a long time though. The person who delivered the food was the happiness, politeness person to deliver my food ever. Will be back again some time

Food extremely disappointing, had 4 main dishes and all had the same bland taste, regular rice was definitely not egg fried either, just bland. Ordered 6hrs in advance and once open they confirmed requested collection time but informed us ready for collection 30 minutes early! Will not use again.
