£12 for all you can eat! What could you possibly complain about? The food is good standard and a small but decent amount to pick from. Ice cream, fresh fruit salad. The place could do with an up lift and maybe think about cleaning the cutlery area boxes as i felt a little uneasy eating with them cutlery. I would go back

Friendly staff and great price, when we went the rice and some ribs were a little dry, it was a pretty quiet time of day so the food wasn't getting eaten quick enough to rotate for fresher food, but it still tasted nice and had an ice-cream machine for dessert with add your own toppings/sauces section.

Plenty to choose from but not a overwhelming choice . Clean and tidy all the food was hot and delicious very fair prices.its near a chargeable carpark but has its own small free car park.Steps up to the front but a more level entry from the side carpark.It's near a boating lake and a ride on train and land train to cleethorpes.shops over the road. It's well worth going as its good food and good value for money.

The criticism I have is the table with the sauces and sprinkles on has a jar with nuts in it which is not labelled. There are plenty of people with nut allergies which you have to ask for them to identify. They should label the products. As it can be life or death.

The food smelt lovely from the outside but sadly very mediocre. The eating area is like a school dinner hall. The gents toilet was disgusting, more like a working mens toilet at the end of the night.

First time we had been back since lockdown the food wasn't as good we was contending with a big blue bottle from landing on our plate!! If you looked around you could see how dirty it was and the toilets definitely need a refurb!!

Enjoyed the food the price was reasonable, the food wasn't warm at all , need lids on All the staff were not really happy or talkative,the place wasn't that clean especially ladies toilets disgusting all needs a revamp

For the money you pay this is a hidden gem. Great for families. Very hard working staff who are very attentive and friendly. Fantastic value for money and lovely food and selection. Try it for yourselves. I could not fault it.

I should have suspected something might be off when i walked up the few stairs to the entrance and noticed all the weeds and dirt (first impressions and all that). Anyway, my hunger got the better of me and in i went. Perfectly welcoming young lady took my £13 and told me to sit anywhere on the upper level. Food on the floor, lots of empty or almost empty tubs. The majority of the food looked ropey and after putting a few bits on my plate, i decided this was definitely not for me. I am by no means a food snob and i love a good buffet but this was just poor on every level.

Twice a week we come here & we absolutely love it, the young blond hair lady is always a pleasure to see & is brilliant with our twin granddaughters they absolutely love seeing her, she’s a credit to the restaurant

There are not very clean in side very old dishes etc bin are together with the food hear in the mushroom!

Went in for a birthday meal. A MOUSE was running around the restaurant under where the food was sat. Staffs response was “we’ve already told pest control” and they opened the door to let it run out. Food was hard, wasn’t clean at all. Won’t be returning.

Went here for lunch. Tried abit of everything. The rice tasted old, the wings was raw, the chicken had too much spice on. The service was ok but kept hovering over the counter and took plates at last second. Overall terrible experience even though used to come here alot when younger.

Always spotlessly clean, delicious food, a wide variety to choose from. You can eat as much as you like, my favourite items are chicken & sweetcorn soup, spare ribs, in fact everything. Will be going again for my husband's birthday tea this coming Monday.

We pop in every time we visit cleethorpes, awesome food, lovely selection, outstanding, 5 stars all the way! Sorry, no pictures, just got stuck in to my food! Oh, and an ice cream Mr whippy machine you do yourself, loved it.

Lovely food, but it is a place in need of a makeover. The venue has definitely seen better times.

Today the food was not upto the standards where chicken wings, salt and pepper chicken was not cooked properly and it was raw which makes absolutely frustrating.Chicken meat balls were not at all good as they were very oily and inside it was raw.Some the foods were not named with allergens which is quite concerning and we don't know what's in it.Overall the standards were not upto the mark and needs lot of improvement and totally no satisfied with the food.

£12.90 all you can eat is a great deal and plenty of choices for the cost my only negative is it’s luckwarm but that wouldn’t put me off returning if I don’t get the 💩 in the next couple of days

The stars are for the food only, complete lack of staff to cater to the amount of customers that are queueing out the door. One poor bloke run ragged on the bar. Chaotic.

Almost always a good experience here, very well priced and staff are all very friendly and welcoming. £37 for 2 adults 1 child (free) and 5 drinks I think is a very good price. Some of the food wasnt the best but majority of it was very good. Ice cream is a lot tastier since the new machine really enjoyed it. Only thing that needs improvement is both toilets aren’t very clean and the staff are abit slow at taking away used plates.

Ok food for the money does need a major revamp /update to interior

We prefer to go in the off season. It's still busy, but not rammed. If we was to make a suggestion, it would be to have a better dessert option. Not just ice cream

Excellent selection of chinese starters and mains, plus Indian food that I didn't try. Yep it only has (very good) soft icecream with a large selection of sauces, and also fruit salad as sweets but to be frank after a good feed it is really all you need. A good time was had by all of our large mixed age party with no complaints either. Priced very reasonably with under fives free which is a massive bonus. Would we go again? Most certainly.

The place is not very friendly, but the selection of food is rich and very tasty.

Manager is nice but hovers over you when you’re picking food or stands at the end watching. Food is really greasy, satay sauce is too “wet” sweet and sour chicken full of honey, not how you make it! Sausage was pink in the middle. No atmosphere what so ever. Food looks nice as picture below however tasteless and greasy apart from chicken curry which was ok.

Atmosphere is nice as it's near a beach. Service is just standard. Food is just your cheap dirty reheated from frozen in a microwave nonsense, i can tell by taste. Food should always be fresh and not done in a blumming "Microwave" if no one wants food poisoning. Oh and the Chowmein tastes nothing like regular takeaway chowmein. This place should be shutdown as a lot of people could get very unwell. The only reason why it's popular is because of "Unlimited Food" and because it's near the beach area. Silly Muppits just ignore the quality of the food and just focus on the fact it's unlimited food and that it's near a beach (rolling my eyes and peeing myself with laughter). Oh and it should infact be listed as a "Buffet", not a blumming "Restaurant".

The restaurant is was not clean my glass and plates were dirty the toilets were very bad it was not a nice atmosphere because instead of it being a peaceful dinner it was filled with creaming and crying children the food tasted like it had been slow cooked in the sponge bob grease trap overall was not a nice experience 100% would not come again and 100% would not recommend you coming here it would be nice to go to the McDonald’s across the road and I will top it of with the entire place is sticky

First time to this establishment and we must say we wont be returning. Although staff were very polite and welcoming and work hard, everything else was a no no. Now we are not posh in the slightest but where do we start. Food - bland, greasy, just warm, processed meat, no cutlery, no serviette, no plates, full of scrubbers who let their kids run wild, and the place is filthy , worst place we have ever eaten. How people can rate this 5 and say its beautiful is beyond us. Don't bother! 🤢

Awesome food with a lot of varities with nice ambience and service

Restaurant was dirty and not at all kept up to standards. The food was dry and undercooked causing food poisoning for 3 days. I will never go back here again it was atrocious and I would advise anyone else from going.

Its £11.50 for all you can eat so no complaints and the food is decent also a big choice of food

Went for a meal on Saturday 26th Oct with family and friends the place is filthy which was very off putting when your going for a meal would definitely not eat there again

Not all dishes were piping hot, but all dishes were very tasty. Issues with the ice-cream machine were sorted very quickly 👍

The overall cleanliness of this place is disgusting, the food here is not edible. The foods left that long it has dehydrated (gone rubbery and hard) I complained to the manager, who stated the food is left along time thats why it isn't always the best so i can wait until they serve fresh foods out. I asked for a refund which i was told they need the money as they have staff to pay and food to buy, i stated that none of us had eaten much at all and id be happy to receive at least half back of what we paid- he reluctantly agreed and gave us £30 back. We left and went to McDonalds across the road- we will never visit here again, how it has 5 star reveiws i don't understand - the cleanest part of the establishment is the toilets.

Me and my partner tried this place after my work colleague told me about it earlier this year and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the staff were really nice and pleasant and helpful so we came back to eat here again..well done to everyone involved.

Have visited before and were eager to return we liked it so much What a disappointment! There was plenty of choice however many of the dishes were lukewarm, meats were chewy or dry. Sauces appeared to be watered down and quite wishywashy and even dishes that should have been spicy were sadly lacking. Also no duck or pancakes and only ice cream and fruit salad as a desert option were before there were numerous choices. The ribs were an exception and were very tasty as was the hot and sour soup, but that was about it really. All the deep fried starters were overcooked and shatteringly crispy!

Lovely restaurant the food was lovely and fresh and plenty to choose from The owners are lovely they even let us stay over in our motorhome for the night We ate a few small portions one at a time and thoroughly enjoyed it Didn’t affect us but the amount of greedy pigs overfilled their plates and then left it and went back for more

Used to visit here regular years ago and we used to enjoy it..We visited recently and there is barely any Indian food now approx 1/4 of the choice they used to have is no longer there..No Currys ect and the place itself could definitely do with been freshened up in terms of decor and cleanliness and some investment

Great visit as usual. We usually come at lunch time and the food is always warm and seems fresh. Pricing is great for an all you can eat. Drinks are a little on the pricey side. The place is always clean but the tables and chairs are starting to seem a little worn.

For an eat as much as you like buffet for £11.50 it's great value. Staff are friendly and the food is nice and theres a good variety. BUT it's not very clean, the whole place from the eating area to the toilets is grimey, so it does make you wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. (None of our party suffered any side effects) Overall it offers good food for a reasonable price.

After reading previous reviews about this place, i was sceptical, but our friends have been here a few times, so we gave it a go. I'm really glad we did. The food was great, not the best but not bland either, plenty of meat in all the dishes. The kids especially liked the unlimited ice cream. The place could do with a bit of a touch-up, mainly the bar area. tables, plates, and cutlery were all clean, as were the toilets. We were 5 adults and 4 children. All 4 children are autistic and very funny about what they'll eat, but all 4 of them ate here with no issues whatsoever.

Went with a group of motorhome friends. Great choice. Lovely staff. The ice-cream is too tempting be warned as there is a choice of toppings well.

The only problem I have with oriental express is that they took away the good chicken korma

Really nice food. £12.50 each & all you can eat buffet service. We are visitors from Manchester in the area for a dancing championships & would definitely visit again.

Chinese Buffet as much as you could eat. Food was freshly made as you served yourself to numerous dishes as much as you wanted, and as many times as you please, no fuss. There were plenty of patrons (familys, couples, and workers,) and as far as I could tell, all left happy and full. Would highly recommend a visit if in the area you'll find staff welcoming and friendly.

Good selection of Chinese and English food at a good price. Food was well cooked and plentiful staff were friendly and kept an eye on the servery to make sure there were no shortages atmosphere was pleasant even though it was packed. Even grandkids loved it.

The food here is great but the hygiene levels are not great. It just needs decent clean and a bit of TLC. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar had a good selection.

Food was okay, but the experience was ruined by the uncleanliness. Cutlery was stained and in dusty bowls, plates literally still had food on them, everything was sticky (particularly the dessert area) and the toilets were disgusting (tissue in sink, around the toilet, clearly had not been checked). As I said the food was okay (if not a bit bland) but will not be returning due to the cleanliness issue, which is a shame as it could be such a nice place.

Really unsavoury place. The whole hygiene situation is atrocious, it really puts you off your food. The chairs are covered in black dust, the tables and cutlery are sticky. The cutlery is housed in these awful filthy boxes, and the plates still had spots of food on them. The toilets obviously weren’t checked either because they were absolutely vile, not even worth describing the scenes. The food was bland and often covered in skin. Would strongly discourage anyone from going to this place until they strongly rethink their cleanliness. No matter the affordable prices, it’s just not worth it.

The food was okay and a good price at lunchtime for £11.50. The restaurant was in a nice location. The staff seemed a little unexperienced as they seemed quite shy and the service was slow. The cutlery is in washing up bowels which didn’t sit right as I felt like people will have touched it when getting theirs out and parts of the restaurant were so unclean. The toilets were disgusting and so dirty. It needs urgent renovation which would make it miles better.

I came yesterday it was horrible, flys hitting us in the face and flu round us when eatting, tables and chairs were not clean and the food smelt off

I have been here a few times whilst working in the area ...I.love this place ...friendly staff ...food is always fresh and tasty and next to the boating lake to walk all those calories off !!

Called in yesterday the 3rd of September for the lunch menu with our lass and must say that the food was excellent value for money. Loads to choose from and we will certainly be back. Thanks again for a great service and selection of wonderful chinese food 😋

The food is lovely but the place is filthy. The tables and especially the chairs are black with dirt. To top it off my daughter had a coke and the amount of bugs in the glass was terrible

Our favourite place to go eat tasty Chinese food! Great prices, delicious food, friendly staff, owners are amazingly friendly, welcoming and interactive, me and my partner visit every time we are down Cleethorpes! Never found an issue!! Also an amazing pint!! Can’t wait to come back! The beef Cantonese is beautiful!!! And not to forget the ice cream! Wow! Can’t fault! Be back very soon

Not been in a long long time. Was all very nice and reasonably priced.

Never eaten at the Oriental Express only ever had drinks there as we go to Cleethorpes for the day with our dogs and sit outside, so cannot comment on the food, however what I can comment on is the pissed up fella that was singing his head off inside and outside the property and it was only 12:20pm!!! When you know that someone has had way too much to drink...STOP BLOODY SERVING THEM!!!!!

Fantastic all you can eat really great food

Really enjoy coming to this place. The staff are nice and the food is always so fresh and hot. Constant issues though, especially in the summer with people from Rotherham Barnsley or anywhere else from T Yorkshire that can't seem to understand it's a buffet which means you can return multiple times and not needing to feed your plate for a family of 12 up to the ceiling and making everyone else wait for the food , considering two thirds of it you leave and just waste. It's greedy and downright rude, you don't act like this at home surely? The chips aren't going out of fashion Susan! Anyway apart from the clientelle being somewhat less desirable in the summer months it's a nice place!

The food is nice. Staff is also OK. Toilets clean. Cutlery and plates were dirty. The restaurant attracts unhygienic people, one woman was coughing all the time and then touching the buffet cutlery but that's not the restaurant's fault.

I don’t Iive in cleethorpes but my boyfriend lives near there as I live in Bristol he went there yesterday and said it was excellent so when I looked it up I was amazed I’m thinking of going there when I travel to Grimsby next year

Food was reasonably good and tasty. Downside was finding a clean plate. I had to look through a number of plates that were dirty with dried food on them before I found a clean plate. Also same with the cutlery. I had to look through quite a few pieces of cutlery in the tray before I found clean ones which didn't have dried food on them. Really disappointed as it's not difficult to clean plates and cutlery thoroughly.

Self service all you can eat whats not to like

A good value 'all you can eat' Chinese buffet with some English food options and popular self-service Whippy ice cream dispenser. Some outdoor seating for dining on a nice day.

For all you can eat the food it is quite tasty, as it is a buffet style restaurant the service is minimal but good, you don't have to wait long at the bar to get your drinks, and very reasonably priced for all you can eat.

On holiday at haven worth a visit for the price compared to campsite , u get value for money . Two adults two 12 yr olds 3 soft drinks and a wine £52. Chinese buffet, English pasta Bolognese, chips nuggets sausage scampi. And ice cream whippy machine with toppings included. Small parking for restaurant at back of pay display car park for other attractions

Good food can get very busy in the evening.

Food is really good . Staff are great . There's disabled access and we were offered a table outside with alternative outdoor disabled access so we could take our dog . Staff offered water for the dog and were brilliant. As a disabled customer I felt welcome and relaxed. Brilliant place. Thank you.
