Spent £25 here tonight. Started to eat the food we ordered both myself and my wife after taking just a few mouthfuls of food stopped eating. The egg fried rice most certainly wasn't cooked today and smelt putrid we will NEVER spend any more money at this bland Palace of mediocre food PLEASE BE WARNED AND BEWARE

No sorry. Not for me I read about the bland tasting food on other reviews I should have taken notice. Was only visiting the town. Will know for next time. In their favour I will say it was hot and the chap taking the orders was really nice and efficient

Our first time at the take away. Dishes were bland despite choosing the ones with sauce. Really disappointing evening meal.

Great value, tasty, hot and fresh. They were happy to customise our order and were super friendly. Ended up ordering from here 5 times in the week and a half we were in town. Brilliant!

Excellent takeaway. Food is always hot. Ready on time. Staff are great, they check your order is correct. I have used this takeaway since moving to Wellington over a year ago and have not had a problem. About 16 times now.

I went here about 20 times in the last 3 months and they never disappoint. Good food, good service, fairly fast, and the prices aren’t bad for what you get. One thing I will say is that it is a bit more expensive than what you expect, but it’s an enjoyable experience and the food is worth it, very tasty. They also change dishes to your taste, for example adding or removing spice, or removing or adding meat or veggies, in fact they even do a wide selection of vegetarian dishes and gluten free! 100% would recommend!

Having used this takeaway in previous years, it appears to have gone down hill. The food which are standard fare was very under seasoned with the dishes lacking in taste.. It is ashame that the only Chinese in town who offers a takeaway service can't match it with good food

Top quality ingredients cooked with love makes this takeaway the best in the area. Having used this takeaway for over 11 years the quality stays the same and the food is excellent.

My wife and I have used this Chinese takeaway for years as we have always had good food from it. Having tried all the other Chinese takeaways in the Wellington area we have found that this seems to be the best of them. They are always busy, so your order can take a bit longer than you would like, but it has always been worth the wait. I normally go in to the shop for an order as it's the quickest way of getting the food. However I have done a delivery a couple of times which works, but takes significantly longer so I'd recommend either ordering in shop, or phone in order and collect.

Well what can I say, don’t waste your money! We ordered a crispy duck, pancakes and the usual accompaniments plus some prawns to complement a stir fry I had made at home. The duck was so over cooked it barely existed and the accompaniments well the photo is a portion for a whole DUCK Mmmm I think not. Prawns coated in thick stodgy batter and tasteless. Portion sizes also small and Very expensive. Please take my advice and go somewhere else.

Said we had an allergy to peppers and we received a meal we didn’t order with peppers on top! The oil used has a strange taste tainting the food. Only tried them out as the new canton is currently closed.

Have used the Wok Inn before for home delivery and although slow, I have never had to wait 2 hours!! I was about to call to cancel the order when delivery driver arrived. The food is alright but the portion size is ridiculously small for what you pay!! I definitely shall be using them again. Usually order from Jade Gardens which is better food (in my opinion) and good family size portions, at least you get what you pay for, didn’t this time as was tired and didn’t and did not want to drive - what a mistake that was! Not enough to feed everybody (and we ordered exactly the same as we do from other Chinese takeaways). I had a tiny plate so children had enough. Really disappointed. A lot of money for small portions and horrendous delivery time (which we were not advised of)!

Great tasting food but unhappy with portion sizes on complaining over the phone there reply was that this is normal for the container. No explanation. Containers only 1/2 full Over priced for this

The food here is ounstanding and the customer service is great. We have been regulars, and they always add extra sauce to our orders without any complaint or extra charge. The staff are always friendly and the food is outstanding as we have had no issues with the standards here. Best Chinese and the only Chinese I really use in Taunton and Wellington

Had a brilliant takeaway from here. Ordered by phone and was asked when I wanted to collect it! 15 minutes and my food was ready. Staff were extremely polite. Food was still piping hot after a 5 minute drive. It was absolutely delicious and very much value for money!

Great ingredients, authentic taste and 1st class service. Cooked to perfection and a thoroughly enjoyable meal. We would definitely recommend this takeaway.

Some Chinese takeaways forget why we go to them, we want quick great food at a sensible price! The Wok inn is fantastic, always great food always served quickly. My favourite is the chicken balls!

Phoned to order a Chinese takeaway for delivery and we were waiting for 3 hours on a Saturday night... not good enough. Cancelled in the end. Avoid.

Lee Chu and Fong are really friendly and helpful face of the shop. Long term residents now and their meals are amazing with a very varied menue. Recommended AAA+++

I always use this shop when I fancy a good bite to eat, their food is fantastic always available, quick and tasty, but the one thing that makes me come back time and again is the barbecue sauce, it's surely the best in Somerset!I always recommend their sauce to all my friends! Keep it up guys!

Decidimos probar el wok para un cambio (el menú dice "todo lo que pedimos es dar un Wok chnace" así cómo podíamos negarnos! ) y nos sorprendió gratamente, teniendo en cuenta algunos de los comentarios. Llevamos esta vez estándar - sopas, alubias negras, scezchwan, pero la próxima seguramente probar algunas de sus ofrendas menos visto. Deliciosa, bien el tamaño de las porciones, decente de pollo. Altamente recomendado.

A través de nuestra orden y llamó estaba listo en 15 minutos. El hombre en el teléfono era muy servicial y educado como era la señora cuando nos recoge nuestra comida. Era realmente buena relación calidad-precio y la comida era totalmente delicioso. Realmente nos hizo disfrutar y lo recomiendo encarecidamente. También pueden entregar localmente por dinero en efectivo a la entrega.

I have had a take away fro Wok Inn in the past and found them to be average and a bit price ie but I would have paid double for the meal I had at the weekend, it was cooked to perfection, full of flavour,very fast and made from good quality produce, the counter is run by the owners and are polite and customer focused, very well done

The best Chinese in Wellington without a doubt, we no longer live In Wellington, but still travel 7 miles to get takeaway when ever we fancy it, as we find it the best around.

i always find the food fresh and tasty, we also always pick it up ourselves because you can't always rely on the delivery being accurate.My favourite for this take away is the Chicken with Broccoli.. yum yum

Ordered and collected a meal for myself and friends when I was back in the area for a few days the normal Chinese I used when I lived in the area was full so I was told that this one was good, the range was very good and was served fast, the food was ok but it was quite expensive for the quality no half portions of sweet n sour dishes which is unusual

Great Chinese, one of the best. We used to live closer but still come back even though we're 10 miles away. Beautiful food, especially the Thai food. Such wonderful staff too. Dont miss it!

We have used the Wok Inn for 8 years and the quality of ingredients used and the taste and presentation is top class.We have never had a meal that was not top quality and the service is first class.I have tried many other Chinese establishments and the Wok Inn ranks up there with the best.Would definitely recommend.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice. The chicken balls clearly had been cooked the day before and just dropped back into the deep fat fryer to reheat. Chicken was dry and hard not fresh at all.Phoned to inform them , and they just started arguing saying that they were freshly cooked to order, what a load of rubbish!! No offer of an apology either......We will just start using the many alternatives.

After waiting TWO HOURS for our food, it finally arrived and was over cooked and tasted disgusting. My whole family hardly ate any of it, and after waiting TWO HOURS we were starving. I rang and complained and they had the audacity to tell me I was rude!! Maybe if they had learned to cook correctly, ie; not cooking the food within an inch of its life, I may have not found the need to ring and explain how disgusting their food was...no I do not want a discount next time as I WILL NEVER BUY FOOD FROM THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A TAKEAWAY AGAIN. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Ordered a simple 3 curries & 1 chips.The delivery time was over 2 hours & when it did finally arrive it was cold & minus the chips. After heating it up I can honestly say it was the worse curry I have ever had. Rang up to complain only to be told they were busy & next time I make an order they would add some chips!!! Very disappointed & will in the future be ordering from the Canton who never fail to deliver excellent food

We went here for a takeaway on NYD. We could not find a menu online anywhere so had to go to the shop and order there and wait. Might be worth putting a menu online so people can phone ahead! We ordered and only had to wait about 15 minutes. The food was only okay. It wasn't anything to write home about really. The sweet and sour chicken was really heavy and extremely thick batter. Also, we have never been here before, but every other customer that left while we were there received complimentary prawn crackers, however we didn't. Don't know if this is because we are new customers, but new customers become regular customers with the right service!!!!A little disappointed

Had a takeaway from here and the ribs and chow mein were awful, will not be using again. The vegetable chow mien hardly had any vegetables, more noodles than anything else.

Hubby and I had a nice take away for two during the week. Just a normal, standard and well cooked Chinese take away with very good, friendly service. Recommended.

spend over a tenner for free delivery and as there were 14 of us that was easy ! a wide selection of food was ordered all arrived piping hot and truly deliscious as it was a large order the prawn crackers were thrown in ! All was very nice no complaints at all they broke down the bill for us they were very patient and we def recommend it !

Food was pretty authentic- but 15-20% more expensive than I am used to in London which surprised me.The order in which the food was prepared was pretty chaotic- I was in there nearly 30 minutes-which is very slow for a takeaway.

took well over a hour, and driver tried to over charge us. even tho we are under the mile delivery range. when we refused to pay based on the fact we was told it would be free delivery. the driver refused to give us the food and left.

I used to live right next door, so I became well acquainted with the staff. The food is excellent, cannot fault it, cannot fault the service either.

Have used a lot and never had much to complain about you know warm not hot food when delivered sometimes a long wait ect until tonight when I found one long black hair in the food so ok it happens but it put me off tea so phoned up to ask for a refund of meal the answer was you had a hair in the spare ribs so thats what I will refund you then he said I dont want to refund you on anymore of the meal ...poor show and bad customer service wok inn Chinese takeaway wellington you won't be getting any more of my money
