we were served by Indian man Manoj who organised fast service for the kids even though adults waited. He was extra night and understood our need as a family. Food was average

Went here for an evening meal on a saturday night when staying at the hotel. We sat and waited for 30mins and hadn't even received our drinks or an apology. The maître d was overworked and not only seating people but taking orders while serving staff spent more time clearing tables than looking after customers. We got fed up of waiting and asked for our meals to be sent to our room. After speaking to the restaurant manager he offered 50% off the meal and made an excuse about a function in another room causing the poor service for restaurant guests. After waiting a further 50mins our food arrived. We had ordered the lemon and thyme chicken breast in whiskey and wild mushroom sauce. We received overcooked chicken legs with no sauce! This was down right deceitful if not a breach of trading standards. We called reception to politely ask for sauce and were treated with disdain and no sauce was forthcoming. Dessert wasn't much better. The pear and peach eton mess (priced at the best part of £10) consisted of whipped cream and tinned pears and peaches, no sign of any meringue. The creme de cassis cheesecake was soggy, topped with tinned fruit and tasted bad. Absolutely disgusted by the level of service and quality of food. This has really tarnished Hilton's reputation in our eyes.

We dined here while we were staying at the hotel and food was good. I really enjoyed the bangers and mash. They have nice music and relaxed seating. Food and staff were good too. Prices are similar to other Woking restaurants so we found it quite convenient and nice. Waiter told us they were about to change the menu which is good and means that they are making some efforts...

We have been to a few places in Woking and this has to be one of the best for the type of ambiance and food we like. Staff were pleasant and we can not really complain about the food. The meal was unrushed and what was best is that the we were very pleased with the overall ambiance of the hotel. And restaurant has a nice bar and everything you need for s relaxing meal. It is not in your typical high street setting but provides the same level of food and service in a better setting.

We did not stay at the hotel so can't comment on a stay. However we did book a meal for 4 in the restaurant. Pleasent surroundings.Service was a bit slow but staff were pleasant. Steaks were good but veg was sparse so we all needed a desert to fill up. Full price for steak + 6 chips !/2 tomato 1 mushroom + pud and 2 bottles of wine was £150. OK but would not rush back.

Well where to start we were a family group of 9, 5 adults and 4 children from 2-7 years of age. We wanted to book a table for 7pm for an evening meal but was told it would have to be 6:30 as the restaurant was busy later not surprising as it was easter weekend. We came in for 6:30 but the girl who was seating people started to ask if we had booked and then the phone rang and said she had to answer it and ignored us for the next 5 minutes then she hung up and said derogatory coments about the person on the other end of the phone. Then she could not find our booking which we had paid for in advance but finaly got seated at 7 pm our order for drinks and food were taken in reasonable time but we had to wait for over 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive and over 30 minutes for our starters to arrive the mains took another 30 minutes after we had finished our starters and the children were getting restless and tired the mains finaly arrived and of the 5 adult meals only 1 was edible and 1 child meal was forgoten completly and had to be asked for again. After being in the being in the restaurant for over 2 hours we still had not recived our desserts and the childen were so tired we had to leave I complained to the person in charge who did not even have the grace to reply or apologise and we were never asked if our meals were ok. We thought breakfast could not possibly be as bad but how wrong were we. Once again we had to wait for over 30 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of free tables just no staff to clear or reset them only 1 young lad who was running around like a headless chicken trying to do his best for just over £5 per hour he was a credit to an otherwise disgrafull restaurant . It was a buffy style breakfast help yourself but most things were never avaliable at the same time and shortage of plates bowls spoons etc. Needless to say we will never use this restaurant again its the worst I have ever been in.

Went here for the third time with a group on deal, and we were really pleased we did, the food was great, for starters we had scallops and I went for prawn pate, both were presented really well as was the taste, we had, with the deal a bottle of house white, when the waitress gave it to my partner to try, she said it was not that nice, no problem she said I'll get you a bottle of Pinot, which promptly arrived and tasted much better, and we were not charged extra either, which was great. The steaks arrived along with a salad to share and again the presentation and taste were great, chunky chips, there could have been a few more but they were tasty. We were too full for desserts, a great meal with great service, thank you.

Tried restaurant with a Groupon offer (steak and bottle of wine, £25/head). Cheapskate I know, but could be an expensive mistake otherwise! Outstanding steak and very passable wine. Will definitely try their a la carte next time. Worth a visit.

On arrival we decided to have a cold beverage and sit at the bar area - sadly the beers were anything but chilled. (They really took the British 'room temp' drinking to a whole new level!). We did then enjoy a lovely 2 courses from the restaurant, and my partners scallops & fillet steak were great!! However, my sirloin was served dry and very medium, I has asked for medium-rare. Was a shame really as the accompanying blue cheese sauce was more clumpy and tasteless. The bill then took 40 minutes to arrive! Altogether I would have to give it a low rating on food this time round. May have to try the fillet next time!

I'm not convinced that changing a name is always for the better (think Royal Mail to Consignia for example). The hotel used to be the Holiday Inn and now it's changed to Double Tree by Hilton, the restaurant used to be called Hugos and is now Wocca - both names mean absolutely nothing and don't exactly inspire in my opinion. Anyway, we last visited when it was Hugos and as per this visit it was courtesy of a Groupon deal. Both times the deal represented excellent value but of course it's only as good as the staff and ambience etc. I couldn't see any visible change to the restaurant other than the name change and indeed I suspect the staff are the same as well. We booked for an early meal (6.30pm) on a Saturday and it was almost empty but by the time we left it was getting busy and the bar area was rammed with a loud group (who I guess were at a function within the hotel). My wife is not a big eater and so opted for a starter and dessert whilst I went for a starter and main. The fish and chips was one of the best I've had in a long while - the batter was thin and crispy and there was plenty of fish filling. The soup starter was Pumpkin which is not a particular favourite but it was fine. My wife enjoyed her Nacho platter but the apple and ice cream dessert beat her. I'm sure the excellent house red (Temperanillo I think) was the same as last time. I have to say the staff were attentive but discrete and I would single out Simona particularly. One unrelated issue is on site car parking (chargeable) - for some reason the underground garage is closed and there's only a few spaces by the hotel entrance. However, we managed to park on the road behind the hotel free as it was after 6pm. We look forward to our next Groupon visit!

From start to finish, the experience and service received from Carl and his team was amazing. After phoning to ask a couple of questions a couple of weeks before, I was put in touch with Carl via email, and he was so responsive and accommodating. We had a medium party of 12-15 people, and were spending the evening celebrating our joint stag/hen do after a day of activities. I dropped off some decorations earlier in the day, and they were kind enough to allocate us a whole area for our party which was in a great position with plenty of space, and even put up our decorations for us! We were all starving, so had some food, which was delivered promptly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 2 for 1 cocktails all night was a brilliant bonus, and everyone was so happy with every drink they had. The team were all so welcoming and lovely, and it was a great atmosphere throughout the night. We can't thank Carl and the whole team (I'm really sorry to not have got everyone's names!) enough for ensuring a special night that we won't forget. I'm sure we'll definitely be back. Thanks again!

Review 2: Absolutely love an recharge break at Bem. The music is awesome. The staff are so friendly. And the coffee is literally my favourite coffee place. I love how they make so many seasonal coffees. It's awesome. Review 1: Menu is limited. But what is made is oh, so scrumptious. The chicken mayo with extra avo bagel being one of my favourites. The staff are always friendly and kind. The atmosphere is always relaxed and fun. A place for couples, friends, and families of all ages.

Come in at 11 on a busy Saturday morning. One table left and was served very quickly despite how busy it was and had an amazing breakfast! The cappuccino I had was perfect. Everything hit the right spot! Will definitely be back when I'm working in the area :)

Shocking, despite buying all our drinks from here. We were accused by the barman of bringing in a drink (bottle of corona) accused us of not ordering it because he hasn’t served us it… (the corona had a lime in, as if we are going to turn up with a lime pre cut ready…) anyways, the barman preceded to Interrogate us… we then explained that we bought everything from there and to check with everyone who works behind the bar first before making accusations. He then said, the only persons could be was the manager… (who had left at this point) so the guy then calls him in front of us, on speaker! Of course the manager answered saying he had sold us the corona. Guess what, the Barman didn’t even apologise for the false accusations, just went, “its last orders”… As someone who also works in the service industry, this is the perfect example of how NOT to provide customer service. Note: Barman had tattoos, piercing, black hair, around 30-40 ish.
