Just had a carrot cake somewhere else and I was so disappointed, it didn’t even compare to the carrot cake we had at the Wobbly Dog. As soon as i too my first bite of todays carrot cake, my life instantly flashed back to the best carrot cake I have ever had (Wobbly Dogs). Sadly, todays cake just wasn’t the same, there’s nothing else for me to do but to go back to the Isle of Lewis for some more. Great little place, owners were lovely too!!m just wish they were open on Sundays 🤣

It is a trademark of local enterprise, tbh the fact that the owners and co workers are on first term names with everyone that enters makes it the personal connection that may not be achieved elsewhere. In actual fact I turned up at closing time but was accommoded gracefully, forgiving my lack of timekeeping. This place is iconic from the fabric of what Barra used to be and its healthy to see it thriving under local guidance . The castlebay Street used to be a meeting centre of all ages and now thanks to Janet Boyd and her great efforts I see a bit of community come back to the street 😀 many thanks Alex

Very poor value, Spent £25 on the seafood platter no langastines so they supplemented with Scallops which i thought would be ok. when it came out there must have been about 2 Scallops thinly sliced fanned over the plate a small piece of fish and small pile of crab meat and two slices of brown bread.

A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.
