Wiwo Canton in Cardiff

This place is my usual takeaway for a cheeky Chinese. Never dissapoints always freisnlh portions and delivered within good time.

Can be a bit pricey when you add some bits like shrimps or chicken etc to the noodles but it's good food.

It has a great selection of food for a really low price

Asian/Noodle fast food that create bespoke takeaways from a wide variety of different foods. Ordered online and it arrived within 20 mins of a 5 mile radius. Plenty to choose to create your own dish! Will definitely order again.

Great lunch deal available here if you haven’t tried it is a must you will not be disappointed. My fav is Udon duck teriyaki

Utter shambles Ordered a meal at 8, 30 minutes past due I call to be told it is out for delivery and next call...1 hour later I chase (food ordered 2 hours previous) food shows up with sides not hot (we live about 750 yds from their premises). "Nobody here is trained to give a refund" which is very much their problem. "Can't give you an immediate refund it takes 5 days" literally against the goods and services act. Absolute shower of uselessness and lies to cover diabolical service. You just lost a very loyal customer

Not worth it in the slightest. Took well over 2 hours to come. When the food eventually came and we explained that we had already been out and bought food from somewhere else (because despite calling up 41 times to cancel, the line was 'busy' and we were starving). Driver acted like this was unreasonable. Service has gone down hill dramatically.

Honestly, we've ordered from Wiwo before and you can expect them to be at LEAST 40 minutes over their delivery time, but wow. Today was another level. Called up 3 seperate times only to be told 3 different things. To then have the delivery not turn up at all. Honestly shocking. Food is average at best, especially when you're ageing 7 years (on average) when waiting for it and prices keep going up, whilst service is dropping dramatically. Cba. Deffo not worth it.

Just ordered whole wheat noodles with prawns and whole wheat noodles with mushroom and broccoli. Wondering why both dishes are full of beef?! First time I have eaten meat in years, thanks! I'm really glad I don't have time to take it back before you close...

Fast and friendly service. They have changed all sauces except Oyster sauce to Vegan. When I asked if something was Vegan they checked very quickly. Tried the chilli pepper chips this time and I'm hooked!!!! Bloody fantastic!!!!

Great spot for some tasty noodles. I work around the corner and i come most days for the lunch time deal it always hits the spot. for less the a fiver i get a big box of noodles and a can. Much better the alot of the meal deals which only offer a cold sandwich, crisp and drink. This place is also halal! Would recommed of you havernt tried it before.

This is a great takeway for us we are medical nurses and get 15% off our collection orders and its a go to be place for us now after work! food is fresh, healthy and is cooked right in front of you. Staff are always polite and shop is always clean and welcoming! Would reccomend to all my friends

Ordenamos el sábado pasado ya que hemos tenido fideos decentes por un tiempo y como estos muchachos han ganado muchos premios, queríamos ver de qué se trataba el alboroto. Digamos que nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. La comida era realmente fresca degustación y entregado muy caliente. La entrega demoró 50 minutos, pero un sábado por la noche creo que es más que aceptable. La esposa realmente disfrutó su caja de verduras y dijo que era un cambio agradable poder pedir algunas verduras frescas de una comida para llevar en lugar de solo una comida grasosa poco saludable que te hace sentir muy mal. De ahora en adelante haremos de esto nuestra comida habitual de los sábados por la noche. ¡Gracias chicos! ! =)

Freshly cooked noodles. Lunchtime offer is a bargain. Not currently accepting card payments so losses a star for inconvenience. Update: How can a place that offered so much, be in the position they are now. I have been coming here since day one, and during that period it was the best noodle bar in Cardiff. However over the months and years there have been little changes and reductions in the service offered. No longer offering a loyalty card, changes to the forks, i.e cheap plastic. Card payments no longer accepted. The quality of the food and service is so inconsistent, and every time I visit there are new employees. I think I'm finally done with this noodle bar...

The food is ok but slightly overpriced

I have come to the decision, Wiwo food and customer service is something to be desired. Recently I placed my order as usual, order was wrong and they refused to change my order stating I did not specifically request "no cabbage and no eggs". The order was "chicken, plain noodles and satay sauce" but because I had not requested what I didn't want (that I was not informed was included) I was in the wrong. So half hour later I have finished picking out the food I did not want. Today, 12/11/2018 I thought I'd give it another go, utter disappointment. waited 35 mins for a 2 x Jnr box, finally arrived, boxes were not even half full, barely any meat, no sauce what so ever and too much oil, a bland mess that went straight in the bin. You do not get what you pay for in the terms of food or service. I couldn't be bothered to go back as passed experience proved to me, the staff are not bothered. I will not be returning, and would not recommend.

Great alternative lunch. On average around £6 a box. Tasty, fresh + quick! Would recommend and return! 🥢

Terrible customer service. No complaints procedure. Direct you to a website to make complaint but no email address. Then ignore your call. When eventually got through cut off then told I’m new staff can’t work phones. Over 2 hours for a delivery. Told an hour before that it had left. Then was surprised why I didn’t want it when it arrived. Told manager not in till next week. Terrible customer service/ delivery’s etc. Tried to blame just eat but I ordered direct from website. Wiwo Canton should never win any awards. Absolutely terrible site 🥢🤬

Ordenado desde este lugar, el orden de pensamiento rondaría entre 30 y 45 minutos según lo anunciado y porque no vivimos demasiado lejos del lugar. Sin embargo, habiendo esperado más de 1 hora, llamé para verificar el pedido y continuaron colgando el teléfono. Cuando finalmente hablé con alguien, no me ayudó y fue muy grosero, no fue capaz de informarme adecuadamente cuándo se iban a entregar los alimentos y procedió a colgar el teléfono. Finalmente pude hablar con ellos nuevamente y decidí cancelar el pedido. No estoy volviendo a pedir órdenes de ellos otra vez, ya que era una pérdida de tiempo y los empleados no eran útiles.

Hicimos nuestro pedido y después de una hora de espera, llamamos a Wiwo a Canton y hablamos con un miembro del personal llamado Anna que nos dijo que estaba en camino. Una hora y media más tarde todavía no había comida. ¡Sonó de nuevo y habló con Anna que dijo que estaba en camino! ! Les pregunté si podían compensarlo, ya que habíamos estado esperando durante una hora y media un tranquilo domingo por la noche y ella me aconsejó ir al sitio web y obtener el 20% de mi próximo pedido. ¡Que broma! ! ! Cancelé la orden Nunca los usaré de nuevo.

Used to be 5 stars every time, and justified the best takeaway in wales awards they've won. But now it's so, so inconsistent. I mostly order online for delivery, the food is sometimes hot, fresh and delicious, and arrives on time.Other times, the food looks and tastes like it was cooked and followed by a large delay in delivering it. The pricing has also gone up recently, which really isn't justified. The online system for requesting a time for delivery doesn't work, 2 or 3 times I've ordered and set a time for it always to turn up asap for the restaurant. I've had an occasion where the food was over an hour late, and the driver just left the food in reception of my work rather than face me and apologised. Tried to complain online about this but the online submission form doesn't work. I have also been sold short in the past, such as ordering and charged for a bottle of drink for delivery, but receiving a can.It's basically 3 stars now, and it used to be 5 no problem. I still order, but you never know which Wiwo you're going to get, which is such a shame. If they win best takeaway in Wales award again, I'll be amazed.

Just had a takeaway delivered, 35 minutes earlier than requested time....wouldn't normally mind but everyone except myself were still out, hence the requested delivery time. Rice and veggie boxes good BUT chicken katsu slices were half the amount they used to be....so disappointing. Sorry Wiwo, won't order again from here....after several years we have seen a real drop in standards.

Ordered food from here yesterday evening given a time and it turned up almost 40 mins after that. Lukewarm and drenched in the sauces you choose the katsu chicken was thin chewy and grisly all looked like it was cooked a while before microwaved mush thrown in a box and sent out!

Cheap and cheerful, food quality varies a bit depending on who's cooking and how busy they are.

Ordered 10 takeaway meals to be delivered to our offices. We were advised it would be an hour before they would arrive. One hour later we called to confirm what time they were coming. Very unhelpful response along the lines of it will be another hour before arrival. Another hour later still not arrived. They dont deserve customers.

I don't know why I keep torturing myself by continuing to order from here and expecting it to be better. It is consistently disappointing. Tonight's offering didn't taste of anything at all, I think they forgot to add the sauce. And the gyozas were overdone. Nothing good to say about it. That was my last attempt to get a good meal from this place. Sort out your kitchen staff, lazy and unacceptable! I give up 🤦‍♀️

Waited ages in the restaurant for some jasmine rice with chicken and broccoli. When I asked how long it was going to be a young girl with glasses was totally rude and said 'just wait, it will be ready soon'. All the staff were messing...

Its halal winner for me! Ps their medium is very hot chilli wise so for the non chilli eater keep that in mind. Lovely flavour though!

Gone drastically down hill! Half hour late, prawns were cold. Ordered Chicken Katsu chicken was over cooked and sauce was watery. Poured the sauce over the rice and went to eat it, only to find the sauce had a very burnt taste to it. Disgusting ruined meal

Just don't get why people rave about this place. Extraordinarily expensive for what it is, and now, doesn't have a card machine, so bring cash. Its noodles not haute cuisine.

Stopped here to get some food around 10pm (says it closes at 11 on the door) when we were given our food we were told we couldn’t eat in...when I told the man (I assume he was the manager) that he should’ve told us that before we order he just stared at me blankly. Ate our food in the street in DECEMBER.

No delivery after an hour rang up and was told they would put extras in as an apology, took another 40 mins for food to turn up to find the order was wrong and very dry and the extras weren't put in, will not be ordering again

Bloody awesome! Popped in with a friend who lives locally and had the lunch time meal deal. Excellent portion size great tasting and a very reasonable price. Will definitely pop in again when I'm next in the area.

food is very good. customer service is atrocius. got my delivery wrong twice. took over an hour for delivery driver to return. new website doesn't work and i was called a liar in an email. owner too spinless to talk to me on the phone - preferring to only email me. i used to go there twice a week, never again. customer service and accurate/timely deliveries is just as important as the food quality.

Great sized portions of very tasty food. I think we've had most of the menu by now. We did have an issue with a missed order a few weeks ago when their new website went live but a phone call sorted it out. Staff are friendly and delivery is prompt. Food arrives piping hot.

Having heard a lot of hype about Wiwo, I visited for the second time (as the first visit over a year ago was an utter delivery disaster*).I placed an order for collection and paid quite a lot of extra cash for added extras - it certainly didn't feel as though this was value for money, so if you're offered, I wouldn't bother unless what you're absolutely craving is some extra Pak Choi in your life.The rice/noodle boxes were inoffensively average - not as good quality or tasty as Kati Wok or Noodle Box on the other side of town. Wiwo would be fine for a quick takeaway meal, but as such it's incredibly overpriced.Give it a try, see what you think, but I really wouldn't believe the hype about ordering from the "best takeaway in Wales". Nuh-uh.*I see that other people have had terrible experiences with Wiwo and JustEat - that was also my experience the first time around.

Wybraliśmy się z kolegą na makaron po Chińsku. Naprawdę dobry lecz nie wyśmienity. Nie pracują tu rodowici Chińczycy więc smak jest bardziej europejski. Będąc w Cardiff ponownie wstąpię coś zjeść do baru obok. Bez uraxy to nie moje smaki.

We ordered our Wiwo take away at 8 o'clock on justeat! We then phoned to confirm our order and to check how long it would take. We were told our order would be no longer than 45 minutes. To our disappointment our order took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive and when it did arrive the food was cold and we were missing our drinks - won't be ordering from here again such a disappointment!
