Indigo in Cardiff

My friend & I ordered online & picked up the generous vegetarian set meal for two. The guy called us to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted, which was kind. We had samosas, bhajis, rice, naan bread, dhal curry, a mint dip, a salad, papadoms, a vegetable curry and aloo gobi. It was GREAT and there was loads to eat. I loved the variety and would have it again, in a blink! It was also reasonably priced. Thank you, Indigo!

I ordered a chicken pathia (with green chillies chopped up and cooked in the sauce) and a garlic and chilli naan bread. What I was given was a chicken pathia which was okay but the chicken was dry and there were no chillies in the sauce as requested and a very small garlic and chilli naan bread that was the size of a side plate which was nice. I was also charged £1 extra which I assume was for the chilli in the naan bread which is a bit steep.

The Best Indian takeaway in Cardiff. My son and I have Chicken Korma, peshwari nan and onion bargees. Food always fresh, hot and tasety. Thank you

Great if when you order a Keema naan and it comes without meat. Then when you ring up to explain what happened the phone gets out down on you.

First time ordering from here and the food was divine. Furthermore, the customer service was fantastic. I will be definitely ordering again soon.

Excellent customer service, friendly people and amazingly tasty food! You can as for mild or spicy on every dish. They are happy to give you your food without the disposable carry bag if you ask, huge turning point for me as I hate generating unnecessary waste and in most places they usually put on a frown when you ask them not to put your food on a plastic bag. Totally recommend it!

Have ordered many tiems form here and the food is consitently good, the tarka dhal and sag paneer is excellent. Garlic nan also good. Friendly staff.

Visited here a number of times over the years. The food is delicious and the people delivering it are very pleasant. Man delivering is always checking everything’s ok with the order and asking how my family are after all these years. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Thanks

We had a meal delivered on Saturday evening , four of us ordered dishes , two of us had chicken tikka dishes , luckily for me I didn’t eat much , but myself an son in law was so ill through the night , so we both presumed it must have been the chicken tikka , I phoned the take away to tell them about this , I didn’t want to be compensated or anything at this stage, as a person trained to gold standard in food safety an hygiene I understand the seriousness of food IF it is found to be contaminated an I would point out that nothing has been proven at this stage , awaiting results from environmental health what i did not expect was for the person who claimed to be the delivery driver to be rude an abusive an tell me that he knows how the food is cooked , but doesn’t know who manager or boss is of take away ? Really

And my flat mates just moved into a house share in cardiff a leaflet came through the door so we had planned to stay in I thought read reviews they were excellent so rang up.and ordered over.47 pound it took ten minutes to reach us so yes I ready to eat the food was delivered and I was stunned at what happened next the chips were wet the Kilauea rice was so hard I could not get it out of container all the curries were cold with a layer of ice I rang indigo and said the food is cold the rice is hard and chips wet I asked them could they exchange the food as it wasn't up to standard a rude loud man came to phone I explained and he basically bamboozled me with offensive language and why do you eat our food if your going to complain I could not answer his question he slammed the phone down myself and house mates were left with cold in edible food which cost 43 pound so we threw it away and went to friendship which cost me another 30 pound I will never order from leaflets through my door and I was shocked at the good reviews were they real or made up because the food I had was disgusting

Hi it was my birthday in February I didn't feel like going out I m severing month's pregnant so decided to stay in order a curry watch a film with my family I rang indigo have always had good food from them which was good so I rang them and ordered one butter chicken one chicken Korma two memes rice one emma Mann bread they always say food ready in 45mins so I was surprised after ringing them the food arrived in fifteen mins I asked the person who brought the food how was it so quick he replied the owner on holiday I took the food into the kitchen and I was disgusted by the smell coming from the carrier bag I opened it all the 2curries were warm and water was inside the container the smell actually made me sick the keema rice was hard with hard spices the chips were soggy I was surprised I had never had food like this before from indigo and I was shocked disappointed on my birthday I put all the food into the containers and packed them all nicely I rang indigo a woman answered the phone I explained the food was cold and smelling and the chips and rice were not right the woman said to me no sorry food is ok I explained to her I have never had food like this from there before I asked for my 22.40 pence back please I was shocked when refused to help me I said no problem I will get environmental health to check it at that stage she said oh ok bring b'day the food I will give you your money b'day so I walked around the corner with my partner as indigo is not far from my home when I got there I was horrified. The woman whom I order the food was standing behind the counter with three other men I said to her I bring g this food you asked me too can I have my money please the men then started jeering calling me fat when I'm 7months pregnant I was threatened by the man behind the counter. Calling me racist names I am from Gahanna and I have British passport I was born here the woman behind the counter grabbed the bag I grabbed it back all the food went over the counter the woman behind counter said no money b'day I was scared as one of the men whom usually serves me started swearing and rang from behind the counter I ran outside and the police came I explained the situation indigo. We're. Throwing around false accusations like I threw the food which if I had my hands would have had food on them I showed the police my hands which had no food on them this was a distressing thing for me the police went into indigo and asked for my money b'day but they said no I asked for manager and they said he out of the country I left outside the shop and said thank you to police who said they not giving you money b'day I said thank you I went home shaking crying at the outrageous and scary experience caused to me I will never go there again I advised police I was contacting trip advisor and just they said go home and enjoy the rest of your birthday it was the worst food I ever had and will never go to indigo again

Rare for me to buy takeaway but unusually for takeaway curry this was very enjoyable. I particularly liked the fact it wasn't swimming in oiĺ. Spicing was good and generous portions. Lamb was really tender and chicken wasn't dry. Would recommend for a very good traditional Anglo indian takeaway.

I don't normally write reviews but the food here was really nice flavourful and decent portions too. First time i ordered from there and can definitely say they will be my first option from now on. Great food

Ordered and PAID for food - got two updates to say it will be slightly late (fair enough) - then call the restaurant 45 minutes AFTER the latest delivery time to be told they haven’t received the order (despite the messages to say it’s delayed). SHAMBOLIC. Do not trust.

The driver was lost and the restaurant were very apologetic.

Finally an indian take away that actually makes food spicy when requested, and an amazing delivery time! Food was very good too

Food was bland!! Definitely wouldn't order again. Also, entire meal ordered was vegetarian yet they decided to send a complimentary dish which was had chicken in! Lovely idea but maybe if you see a fully vegetarian order, don't provide the customer with meat..

watery cheap chicken and sauce. probably the worst Indian I've had. just looked and tasted cheap.

All round a really good experience, the coca cola was forgotten with my delivery so the driver brought one around in a matter of minutes which I appreciated. The only one thing I'd say is it definitely wasn't the hottest Phall I've had but other than that I'm very happy, thank you

Food was terrible , real disgrace to Indian food . the curry was just boiled onion paste , Tandoori was bland taste less and too much of food colour . want to give zero stars but no choice.

Great food, and still hot considering it was delivered 35 minutes late, and 1 and 1/2 hours after we ordered. The driver rang twice to say he had got lost, not something we have experienced before and we order quite a lot of takeaway, but he was very apologetic when he did arrive.

The curry dishes we ordered were really good , the best ive tasted in cardiff. Keema naan spot on!! We werent to fussed on the chips but that didnt spoil the meal and we usually dont order them.

We ordered a takeaway from Indigo whilst visiting family. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, it was fresh and not at all greasy. I had a tandoori king prawn starter in a tasty tomato sauce and sag paneer and vegetable paratha as my main. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their food and I thought it was very good value for money too as the portions are generous.

If I could, I'd leave it at zero stars. First and last time from these guys.

45 minutes late, items wrong, items missing. I phoned to try and put it right and they hung up on me. No idea of customer service at all. Fortunately Just Eat were able to take care of me.

Always great curry! Delivery time on average is less than stated, only occasionally a little but more. I definitely recommend the chilli paneer & the paratha!

Food was well over 20 mins late that was after the restaurant added so extra mins into the original delivery time. Food was hot, tasty and well packaged. Delivery guy was polite and friendly. Best Indian we've ordered from tho so certainly worth the wait. Just recommend ordering before your hungry!

Have ordered here twice recently - food always hot, delicious and on time! Service has always been good and polite as well, and staff have catered for my friend's allergy when preparing the food. Highly recommend

The "how was your food" email got here faster than the food. Took almost two hours to arrive. Appreciate if store busy an accepted an hour wait but another HOUR after the estimate with no call or explanation? Phoned after 20 mins late. Was told "just left" but took over half hour AFTER call to arrive.

Friendly and quick delivery. Food was nice but not very warm... Also paying £1.20 for 2 poppadoms is a bit of a joke! When you're spending nearly £30, you'd think they would throw a couple of poppadoms in!

The food was fantastic as usual. It took a little longer than expected, but the driver was very apologetic. It can't really be helped, as we ordered during rush hour and we live on the other side of town. It was worth the wait!

Waited 2 hours for a take away to be delivered. Rang indigo up and they said would be 10 mins.. waited a future half hour.. when it arrived it was stone cold and the wrong food. When I rung to complain the man didn't care and hung up. Very disappointed. Never again will I eat from here

VERY early delivery, food well presented and good. It`s a different style of curry so not quite the standard oily/salty takeaway.

Food was average. A lot of tomato and pepper rather than meat.

Food delivery was extremely poor for a Wednesday night. Ordered at half 6, arrived at 8:10. Chased delivery and told it was on the way. Takeaway should have changed the delivery time. Food was hot and driver apologetic but wouldn't order from here again.
