Good tasty Indian food authentic

I ordered a lamb mirchi but got lamb tikka masala instead and it tastes horrible. The biryani was tasteless, oily, full of mushrooms and only 2 pieces of meat. Seemed like they used the leftover mushroom rice to make it. The fun part is that the papadums came in bite-size pieces, thanks for your effort! Never again.

Ordered at 18.40 didn’t arrive until 21.00 rang a few times couldn’t help me, food arrived and all food was cold , very unhappy

Can't praise this place highly enough. Meal, efficiency and helpfulness excellent. I wish my home was decorated as fine. Will return.

Just had a take away for 5 of us from here for the first time, I've got to admit is wasn't what I hoped for, very bland to say the least, keema rice no flavour, tandoori chicken tika korhai tasteless.. very disappointed and it wasn't just my meal, all of the others have stated the same .. all of it was tasteless.. never again there are plenty more Indians in Cardiff before this one.

After much pondering over which Indian to have We chose this one, and so glad we did. Had lamb vindaloo and it was perfect. Lam. Was so tender and tasty. Would definitely come here again. . Loved it.

The food was Luke-warm, not hot like you’d expect when you only live down the road from the restaurant. The food was tasteless, and there was loads of rice but barely any meat. Overall I was really unimpressed and wouldn’t recommend ordering a delivery from here. Shame as years ago it was a good place to eat. Wouldn’t order from here again.

Have eaten in here in the past and was nice enough. However would avoid takeaway at all costs. Placed an order over the phone and was told it would be with me in 45 minutes. After an hour when it still hadn’t come, I called to check it was on the way and was assured it was. Finally 40 minutes later it arrived (was less than a mile journey for the delivery driver so not sure why). We realised they had forgotten one item so we called to let them know and they said they would send it down. A few minutes later they called me back to say we hadn’t ordered it (we 100% had) and proceeded to argue with me. Bearing in mind they knew our food had taken 1 hour 40mins to arrive instead of 45mins, it would have been decent of them to just send us said item which we definitely ordered and paid for. On to the food - was very cold which meant having to microwave it, curry full of oil which I had to drain into the sink, and ZERO spice in the balti - it was absolutely bland. The meat itself was tasty however and cooked nicely, as was the spinach. Sadly a real lack of communication on this occasion and more honesty needed - as well as spice.

Decided to order from our local Indian takeaway for the first time. We ordered a delivery from Indo Cymru and was advised 1 hour wait. Ended up being almost 2 hours with forgotten items, and when we called up to ask for the remaining of what we ordered the person on the phone started to argue and said we didn’t order. When we were placing the order the person on the phone was rushing throughout and seemed like he just wanted to get us off the phone. The curries itself were cold, lacking in meat and were very bland and oily. Makes sense now when walking past the place is usually empty Avoid

Delivery was a little long but the quality of the food made up for it ,worth the wait

I booked this restaurant on 11th February ready for my birthday meal on the 18th March . Booking was confirmed by restaurant, when we turned up the restaurant was full and they stated we had no booking . Even when showing proof of booking acceptance, they mays well of called us a lier . No apology and didn’t give any option of staying for dinner. Very disappointed with service and attitude of the staff . Lucky a few of us drove and was able to go to the bay leaf instead where they fitted us in last minute.

Went for a take away, waited over an hour and when we got the food home it was cold. Tried to ask them to let people know their order was going to be a lobg time but they were not interested

after many bad takeaways you stop for bit as you don't wanna keep wasting money. that was me but today, craved curry, prob after Xmas food. researched reviews and decided on this one. excited on receiving bag at door but oh no, disappointed resumed. curry awful, chicken tikka as dry as your nan's hands after walk in frosty wood. naan, dry, cold and inedible, like your nan's hands. ordered poppadoms, chutney, received chapati & spoonful mango chutney from a jar. my review, don't go.

Best saag bahji I've ever had from a takeaway, everything was lovely and fresh and flavourful!

I was sadly fooled by these reviews. I ordered a takeaway and it was as bland as can get. Garlic and chilly chicken supposedly a “chef’s special” tasted like a curry from a tin. There were only bits of burnt garlic and small chillies. I was stunned at how bad the food was. The sauce was filled with onions, possibly to try and fill the container. The prawn puree, again, filled with onions and overly greasy with only a handful of very small prawns. The naan bread, apparently garlic, I would not be fooled to think it was. It was burnt and just tasted like dough. I would never order from this place again. Huge mistake and definitely avoid.

The Curry was fantastic, great early delivery. The staff are always great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Lots of items missing from the order - No Naan bread Pickles/dips Boiled rice instead of Pilau and no chips when ordered half rice half chips

We turned up quite late. We thought all the food was good. Good quality meat, sauces and rice. Not a lot wrong really and good service and seemed cheap.

There haven't been many people there, when I've been, so the atmosphere isn't there. Food is great...including the takeaway; it's not massively expensive, the service is top notch & the staff are friendly. What more could you want. 😁

The most authentic Indian I have ever had for sure! I simply can't get over the price to quality ratio. The quantity was great too, more than enough for the next day to snack on. I will be a returning customer! The best Indian I have ever tasted! It made me question every other Indian meal I've ever eaten. Food quality was just average. Nothing necessarily wrong with it - just nothing special. For a place that is 11 minutes drive from me, I had the typical hour wait before the food was out for delivery then the food took over an hour to be delivered once the driver set off. Order made at 20:19 food arrived 23:00 won’t order again.

Been using INDO for over 30 years, never had any issues, always excellent food and great service

The worst takeaway ever. Decided to give it a go but wasted nearly 30 quid on what I can decribe as really poor food for an Indian. My curry wasn't even a special. A run of the mill dupiazia. The sauce was so watery it was unbelievable. The only ediable thing was the garlic nan. Never again.

The Indo Cymru is without doubt one of the best Indian Restaurants in Cardiff. I've been lucky enough to have eaten here for a long long time. Tonight the food was always excellent. To be recommended.

I had ordered a meal from this restaurant by mistake, I wanted to order from halal restaurant and as soon as I ordered, I realised that this is not a halal restaurant. I have rang this restaurant trying to cancelled and explaining the situation but they insisted that they chicken is halal, the meal was horrible and I don't believe it was halal

Deserves 5 star. Food is pretty cheap compared to most places, yet the quality of the food is amazing for the price. Curry is very tasty, chips are fresh and are the best I've eaten. Definitely recommend this place. I got collection but the inside was cosy and had a lovely atmosphere, will eat in some day!

That traditional British take on the Indian Restaurant, sure it probably hasn't changed since it opened in 1983 but does it have to? Small quaint and charming, delicious food friendly service all at a fair price. Yeah yeah you could say it's dated or lacks some atmosphere but for me that's what makes it even more charming full of nostalgia, I feel it's safe to say everyone in Cardiff has a story about Indo Cymru and is probably as well known as Dorothy's on Chippy Alley.

I ordered a prawn madras, the curry itself was really nice but I had about 20 small prawns and that’s me being generous - for £7.50 that is disappointing, the food was actually really tasty but it has put me off ordering from here again.

I have been a vegetarian all of my life, and tonight I am served a "KEEMA NAAN"! I actually vomited due to the smell of it. My meal not only turned up nearly an HOUR Late and was COLD, I get a completely wrong meal! I find this very offensive as I have been a vegetarian all of my life... Im sure If they served a Muslim Pork , they too would be offended!

The delivery man was great but it was downhill from therein. I ordered 2 x pickle/chutneys as no option provided for mint sauce and informed the restaurant (in the special request box) that 2 x mint sauce only were required but ended up with 1 mint sauce, 1 pickle and 1 chutney. On to the food - the Seekh Kebab Starter and Lamb Bhuna were both so salty as to be inedible whereas the Prawn Palok, whilst edible, wasn't good enough to warrant upgrading the food quality to 2 stars. Very disappointed and would not risk ordering from again sadly.

I will definately be ordering from these guys again. Excellent food, and a very polite delivery driver. Thanks guys, see you Saturday.

Meal was very good and everything so clean.

The food was delivered on time and the delivery driver was very friendly, but unfortunately the food wasn’t the best. The chips were undercooked, the food was all bland including some of the chefs specials and the popadoms were soggy.
