What an thrilling night! Sat next to Sir Wilfred, the story is a typical Agatha Christie, with a very unexpected twist. Can't recommend enough, well worth the money and the wait. Only thing, I would say that the "luxury drinks package" wasn't really worth the money, but didn't ruin a thoroughly amazing night! Thanks everyone.

The show (Witness for The Prosecution) was wonderful, but the staff and the infrastructure surrounding the area were not. - The entrance was a bit difficult to find; google maps directed us to the “london eye” side of county hall whereas the entrance is on the other side of the building. Very limited signing in the area to tell you where to go - Staff is straight up yelling at people multiple times before the start of both Act I & II to make sure everybody is in the correct seat. I understand having to make sure everyone is in their right place, but it felt a bit overwhelming to have them yelling for no reason (everybody was in fact seated correctly), which was overwhelming. Things i loved: - the location really adds to the immersive experience of the show. - cast members walked around the halls before the show started (although we did not realize they were part of the show at first), making it feel even more immersive - free tap water at the bar before the show and during intermission Things we did not love: - the view from the gallery was great and the tickets were affordable, but the legroom is scarce and you really have to squeeze past others if someone needs to enter or exit the row - the gallery seats are benches rather than seats, so this makes personal space a little bit of a problem depending on who you sit next to - Bathrooms were very dated. 3/5 toilets in the ladies room in the left side of the courtroom were broken during our visit, resulting in long waiting times - Tried the upstairs bathroom, where they did not refill the toilet paper

Paid £150 for a jury ticket and that was very disappointing. We thought that we would be able to have the full jury experience such as get together to discuss the verdict and share the notes that we had made. Nothing like this happened, it was a waste of time missing parts of the show by writing the notes. We should have just paid to get a seat near the front. This is very misleading.

Watched this on 27th October 2024. Really really good. Small cast with fantastic acting all around. Great facial animation in the acting. Had some good clever laughs. Really really well done considering it is limited with what props the room holds. Highly reccommend. I would reccommend going 2 or 3 rows back from the front for slightly better view than the first row.

Agatha Christie play. A court room murder whodunit. As with AC there are plot twists a plenty. Cast. Is excellent. Front of House. Professional and helpful Venue is superb. The old County Hall for the greater London council, which history is carved into the walls of the building. The play is interactive in the sense the jury is made up by the audience in the jury box. So the ending of the play, should logically change if the verdict is guilty or not. But does it :)

5 ⭐️ for the play ! Thoroughly enjoyed every second. The acting was superb and engaging and had me on the edge of my seat! … … BUT, ZERO ⭐️ for one particular pink haired staff member (acting as bar staff /usher), who spoilt the end of what was a brilliant experience. At the end of the play, my partner and I wanted to take a few souvenir selfies with the stage backdrop, only to be told by this pink haired staff person that they “were closed” and that we had to leave. Interestingly, opposite us were several guests TAKING SELFIES on the stage. When I pointed this out to the pink haired staff person, their reply was “Well, they’re not meant to.” But the pink haired person made NO attempt to stop those other guests. … So, IF guests are supposed to leave right after the show has ended, and no photos/selfies are allowed, then WHY were these other guests allowed to take their selfies? And IF guests ARE allowed to take photos/selfies after the show, then WHY were my partner and I stopped from doing so? Either way, this was ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR TREATMENT regardless of policy. All the other staff were absolutely great, it was just this pink haired person, who needs to check themselves.

The play itself was fantastic but the organisation and facilities really let down the whole experience. It's ridiculous that although you've already paid for a programme, you still have to queue at the bar to collect it? Each section of the auditorium should have a clear map of the seating plan (unfortunately we were directed to the wrong seats and spent the first half of the performance in great discomfort). The venue definitely needs more facilities (especially for the interval); some people had to wait a very long time or had to go elsewhere within the County Hall. Verdict: Go if you want to be entertained (but bring your own cushions and private facilities).

Went to see Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall, which was excellent. It was a gripping, immersive theatrical experience that brought Agatha Christie's courtroom drama to life in a stunningly authentic setting. The venue is an incredibly unique one in which to enjoy such a play. Staged in a historic courtroom, the production's use of the venue adds a thrilling layer of realism, making the audience feel like active participants in the trial. The acting performances were truly outstanding, with the cast delivering Christie's sharp dialogue with precision and punch. The portrayal of the defendant, Leonard Vole leaves the audience guessing until the very end, while the barristers command the room with their electrifying energy and sharp-tongued wit. The direction smartly utilises the courtroom space, creating an intimate and dynamic experience that heightens the drama. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house, though I did enjoy sitting in the courtroom stalls as I felt immersed and involved in the action as witnesses and prisoners were escorted right past me. Perhaps sitting in the gallery would rob of you of that experience and you might feel more removed from the action. Attention to period detail, from costumes to courtroom procedures, enhances the authenticity, transporting the audience back to the 1950s. This production is a must-see for fans of courtroom dramas and Agatha Christie alike. A really unique and unforgettable night of theatre.

The play was lovely and the venue was great. We sat in the front row and it was a lot more immersive especially in the courtroom scenes. The one issue with the venue is the toilets. I think they should say something about protocol for this before the show starts. My girlfriend has anxiety and a small bladder and despite going before the show quickly found herself in trouble. If you are sitting in the lower area near the stage and have to go during the show it’s extremely awkward getting up and walking for a few reasons. During the courtroom scenes especially, police officer characters are posted as guards standing at the exits. To make matters worse, characters will enter and exit the chamber through the same doors you need to leave through and could burst through at any moment- meaning if you try to leave at the wrong moment you could end up disrupting the play for everyone else. Scene transitions especially involve cast members bringing in furniture, props etc to set the stage. The play is totally worth it but don’t drink a lot and go pee before it starts!

"Witness for the Prosecution" at London County Hall offers an unforgettable theatrical experience. It transforms the historic courtroom setting into an immersive stage for Agatha Christie's classic legal thriller. This play, masterfully directed and brilliantly acted, keeps the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The venue adds a layer of authenticity and drama with its grand architecture and imposing atmosphere, making it feel like one is attending an actual trial. The use of the courtroom space is ingenious, with the audience seated as if they were part of the jury, heightening the tension and engagement. The performances are stellar, particularly from the leads. The actors bring their characters to life with such conviction and nuance that one cannot help but be drawn into the mystery. The portrayal of Leonard Vole, the accused, is compelling, with the actor adeptly balancing charm and ambiguity, leaving the audience guessing his guilt or innocence until the end. His lawyer, the formidable Sir Wilfrid Robarts, delivers a powerful and persuasive performance, capturing the wit and sharpness required for such a role. The script, adapted from Christie's original work, is tight and well-paced. Each twist and turn is meticulously crafted to build suspense. The dialogue is sharp, and the courtroom exchanges are electrifying, keeping the audience engaged and on their toes. A standout element is the interactive nature of the production. Audience members feel directly involved, mainly when addressed as the jury or witness unexpected twists and revelations. This interactivity enhances the overall experience, making it a play and an event. The technical aspects of the production are equally impressive. The lighting and sound design subtly enhance the mood, while the period costumes and set design add to the authenticity and atmosphere of the era. "Witness for the Prosecution" at London County Hall is not just a play; it's an experience that captivates and intrigues. This production is a must-see for fans of Christie, legal dramas, or simply top-notch theatre. It's a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and the unique magic of live theatre. It is highly recommended!

The play was entertaining and the setting and set design added to the experience. Other reviews will explain more about the play and how good it is. You can take that for granted. My gripes after sitting in the gallery were that the access to the benches was incredibly cramped with people literally having to walk out of their rows and up stairs before late arrivers could get to their seats. Doesn't feel like it would be safe or accessible if there was an emergency. Similarly the sound was very poor up there - there were speakers mounted near us but they had no sound coming out so we were relying on the sound from the actors travelling up. The seats are uncomfortable as well 🤣 The bar area is very cramped as well with a strange layout. Those things aside it was an enjoyable night out and I've only knocked one star off as it's still something to tick off your bucket list.

Agatha Christie's creaky old courtroom drama is given a welcome dramatic lift by the splendour of its staging in County Hall, the council chamber of the former Greater London Council. This adds both tension and interest to what would otherwise be a very static piece of theatre. Agatha Christie's great gift for plotting a good murder mystery was not matched by a similar facility with dialogue. But a competent cast performed manfully, and so my verdict was "not guilty" of wasting my afternoon !

Such a fantastic show, I didn't read about rhe hzow before hand and went with an open mind. It was really good, don't suppose the actors were fantastic all of them. I the atmosphere and location really made it as well. You Must go and see this show, one of the best I have seen ever I want to London.

I can thoroughly recommend this show. What an experience in such a superb venue. When the court usher shouts out the name for the next witness the acoustic echoes are provided by county halls stunning period architecture. The court room is intimate and you feel you are part of the proceedings. If you can, sit in the stalls.

Unique experience sitting in a court audience and watching a play. Good acting and construction of scenes, highly recommend if you’re an Agatha Christie fan. Finding the entrance can be tricky as it is not the entrance closer to the water as the address suggests

Rare visit to Gispy Hill for a West London resident. Found this hidden gem on the Google map. The fish and seafood soup was prefect 💯and best of the soup I had in UK - with fish, clams, prawns, mussels and HOT enough, nothing fishy. The homemade ravioli with lobster and clams was also delicious. Unfortunately I had no room for dessert, would love to try the tiramisu 😋😋😋 The staffs were nice and very attentive. Great food, happy experience. Will be back definitely!

We went to a bottomless brunch show last night (4pm-6pm). The singer started off with first Abba song which was great. Then there was maybe another 3 songs for the rest of the evening, wich was disappointing. I was expecting 2h of Abba experience with singing and dancing but unfortunately that was not the case. There was a lot of background music whilst everyone was having bottomless drinks but not a lot do with Abba. We ordered porn star cocktail jug which was very good, so we definitely enjoyed the drinks 🍸. As for food- order chicken salad - it arrived very late and did not look like a salad. It was just deep fried chicken with chips so food was disappointing. Over all experience 3 stars for me.

El personal es encantador y el ambiente es agradable, y la comida es excelente! Tienes que probar su plátano y el pescado tilapia a la parrilla.
