Gipsy Hill Brewing Company - Taproom in Lambeth

One of our favourite places in South London serving some of our favourite beers — so much so that we decided to get married here. Everything was perfect and the whole staff were amazing. Thank you!

Great local beers & ales - really appreciated that you can order 2/3 measures too! You can order pizzas if you’re hungry as well.

Good if you like Hepcat We have been coming here for a few years but the Taproom isn’t what it used to be. The range of beers on offer was high including guest beers, both on tap and in the can but that has changed these days The selection has greatly reduced, we used to come a bit out of our way to get here and doesn’t feel worth the journey I understand there has been some financial difficulties and a change in operation. I don’t think I’ll be returning in person until the day more choice is on offer

We were in Dulwich to go to the art gallery and took the opportunity to try this brewery and taproom. So glad we did! Fabulous Hepcat IPA brewed with our favourite New Zealand hops. So tasty and fresh that we had to stay for another pint! Plenty of other beers on the menu too. The taproom is a typical basic craft brewery tap but nothing wrong with that. Pizzas can be ordered from a local takeaway but we walked 5 minutes up the road to the fabulous Rikshaw Indian restaurant to complete a perfect evening

Great beer, some of the best to be honest. Lovely staff. Really busy when we went in (sat night) You can order Yard Sale pizza too which is tasty.

This space is large and welcomes dogs. It has a positive atmosphere!

Booked some tables for a birthday and we had a great time. Easy to reserve, staff friendly, nice food trucks and the range and quality of drink is high at fair prices. Perfect if you want somewhere chilled but still with a good atmosphere. There are plenty of taprooms around but this is the best in my opinion.

Friendly people, great beers and relaxed atmosphere.

Can't fault the place or the beer, touch expensive but it is what it is. My biggest issue was with the customers, posh idiots who can't control their children. About 40 kids running riot banging into customers, screeching,hiding under my table all while their parents are getting sloshed paying them no attention. This is the 3rd time I've been here and the 3rd time it's been like this, so will probably be my last. I go out to relax, not babysit other people children.

Great beer and often some street food outside, staff are friendly and efficient. BUT, if you're expecting a relaxing time in an adult-led environment like a brewery, you'll be in for a shock. Posh obnoxious parents bring their kids along, and drink away as they run around and cause chaos. We don't have kids so we can't block all that noise out the way parents can, and had to leave after just one drink because it was driving us nuts! It just makes no sense to me for somewhere centred around beer to moonlight as a crèche. You can't serve alcohol to U18s, so why let them in to begin with? In many countries it's illegal to be drunk in charge of children. They need to ban kids all day, there's just no reason for them to be in a brewery.

Visited September 2024. Working brewery and taproom with a huge beer menu with some non-beer options. Beer flights ie. 3x 1/3 pints available. Various seasonal themes, e.g. Oktoberfest “festbier” on offer. Good variety of bar snacks too but no hot food unless you order from Yard Sale Pizza, who do delivery via app (there are QR Code menus). There’s also a significant Takeaway beer menu (all cans). In terms of snacks, I had the Spudos self-seasoning crisps (interesting flavours like doner kebab and chip shop curry sauce) and the Serious Pig snackalami. In terms of the vibe, music was Early 90s /old school hip hop. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Good range of brews, quirky place to drink

Great place to visit if you like home brewed beers. Also a good place to hold events. Has more than one room so plenty places to have a wander round, watch sports on t v.

Really lovely place, delicious fresh beer, food trucks with good food outside (although I'm not sure if these are here all the time).

Perfect spot to spend an afternoon on the sun.

Great beer. You can also get yard sale pizza delivered there with no delivery charge and that's a winning combo if ever I saw one.

Attended this venue for The Salad Day Market and The Big Market that take place on a monthly basis. Great if you are looking for arts and handy crafts.

Beer is always fresh and interesting, with a number of options. They always have a cider option as well. Atmosphere is great on a sunny day in the outdoor section. You can order external food in, which is good.

Good beer, rude staff who can’t wait to close up early without warning.

Very poor experience with their online shop. Beer order never delivered. I emailed (three times) to find out why, no reply. Eventually spoke to someone over the phone who apologised and said they would resend... They did not. Would not use again.

I didn't know there was a quiz on Wednesday!!! Will definitely come back to participate, but it's not on again until after the euros footballs

Great place to have excellent craft beers. I went when a market was set up outside and I enjoyed myself in the stall. Not hot food available in the brewery, just crisps and confectionery.

An enjoyable place, with a few good choices

This brewery taproom was well geared up to offering a drink and had indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for being outside on a sunny afternoon. The cider on offer was very good and there were pop up vendors serving decent food.

Disappointing - unfriendly service, no atmosphere, no garden

Seems to be an issue with the license at the moment. The courtyard used to be open every day all year round but seems to only be open for special events this summer. A huge shame as the courtyard was the biggest draw for the Taproom. Service still great, beers excellent, but a real shame there's no regular outdoor space anymore. Definitely need to plan ahead before going there these days to check

Very interesting and enjoyable event. Would definitely visit again. Recommend if you are looking for vintage and authentic movie flyers to decorate your home.

Wonderful place with amazing beer selection. Service was always helpful, fast and friendly. It's dog friendly, inside and outside. I really recommend.

Came on Saturday afternoon as a couple, great beer and nice outside area. Taproom was cool but very full of kids, felt a bit like a crèche. So great for families I guess! Two pints and a pack of pork scratchings was £17 which felt like quite a bit for a brewery and mostly the reasoning behind the lower score

Great taproom just off the main road. Lots of shared benches, great atmosphere and a really good range of beers. The lady behind the bar let me try some samples and talked me though some of the beers. I highly recommend this place for a good catch up with friends in nice surroundings with good beer. Cheers.

Quite a long bike trip from Ldn but it’s a nice place to chill for an hour or two. Great beer and nice selection of food. I also visited the pop up market and bought few things.

So I’m new to south London ! But so glad I discovered this gem. A fab place to meet your friends and enjoy some incredible beer/ cider. Was a live band on a Friday night which was really fun. Also you can get Yard Sale Pizza delivered ! What a win.

Great locally brewed beer and friendly service

Great place. The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars is that it was a lovely, sunny day but their outdoor space was not open and you could not take drinks outside. I understand this is to do with their licensing but it was such a shame as we only stopped for one and then went somewhere with outdoor seating.

Great place to spend a Saturday afternoon in the sun. Inside is air conditioned, and they have a screen currently showing the rugby world cup . Most of the beers on tap are £5-£7 and they allow food from outside. There are some great food stalls outside too. Dog friendly, and a few table games

Nice homely feeling bar, good selection of drinks both made on site and also from other breweries. Good selection of low and no alcohol drinks as well.

I attended a wedding reception here. The IPA was very nice , atmosphere humming.

Sat outside as a nice sunny day. Ordered pizza from the local delivery company which is over priced but easy, although their range is a bit limited. Most people there seemed to order as well Had a lovely cider, for a good price, from friendly staff

Decent tap room with lots of outside space. Not the biggest selection of beers/guest beers compared to other taprooms in North/East London but the best in South for sure (and the beers are good) Can order pizza from Yard Sale and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We'll be back

Great place especially on a sunny day! Good vibe and nice selection of beers, some from the brewery but also championing other small breweries. You can order Yard Sale pizza to the brewery with free delivery which is super convenient.

You don't go for the surroundings - trading estate - but the beer is lovely and the vibe is fun.

Unfortunately very disappointing experience this evening. Visited with 2 children and 3 adults. Were told very rudely by one staff member that we were not welcome after 7pm as we had children. There was one sign which stated this, displayed on a community notice board away from the service area. One of our group was refused service after this. Two of our group were tourists from Australia and were astonished to be treated in this way. If this is to be the rule of this establishment, the notice should be displayed clearly and also stated on its website.

Love having a decent brewery on our doorstep, it's a great size meaning they can cater for a lot of people and the events are always good fun with a great atmosphere. Decent selection of beers on tap , both in-house and guest beers on rotation. My only wish is that they'd stock a wider variety of their own beers in the fridge! Staff are always really friendly.

We popped in at about 6.30 p.m. on a Saturday and this place was buzzing! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic ales/beers... I'd have happily drunk along the menu, as it were. Our Hazy Pale and Witbier were fantastic. Music was on point and really added to the party atmosphere without overwhelming the place. Would have happily stayed longer, shame we couldn't. Will be back! TIP: Book a table in advance if you can, the place is rammed, and for good reason!

A great selection of tasty beers. Can smell a bit beery and it's not warm, even inside, but the staff have always been friendly and happy to give samples of the beers. The atmosphere is quite industrial, in a good way.
