Amazing place. Absolutely loved it !! Food was excellent. Staff all friendly. Would definitely go back.

Wow! This place! A hidden gem! I found this place randomly looking for a place to have breakfast, it did not disappoint! From the minute you walk it you are impressed! The service, food, and atmosphere.. excellent! You cannot fault anything. Coffee was one of the best I’ve had but it was their version of Eggs Benedict that blew me away! I live over an hour away but I will be back!

Fantastic place for a breakfast or lunch, the food was great as was the coffee. Service was a little slow however it was very busy. Still with a visit.

Food delated by 1/2 hour even though we'd sat there for 1/2 hour already. Food came not what it said on the menu, no salad or pomegranate, flat bread couldn't cut with a knife, it was like a brick. Very disappointed. Would not reccomend to anyone

We had a family evening meal at Wisteria Kitchen. Warm welcoming vibe, I had the lobster bisque to start, so pleased I did, really nice. It comes with a crab corn dog, querky combination. I had mussels with white wine for main and comes with seriously nice bread to dip. I didn’t need a side order, well satisfied the portions, but did pinch a roast potato which was good too. We shared a few bottles of Shiraz too, a thoroughly lovely evening.

The place outside was very small with wobbly tables. The atmosphere was only the kitchen as it’s right behind you when sitting outside . Also the prices were 15 pound for Mediterranean vegetables. What a waste food tasted the same as some vegetables from Asda . Also the tables were full of cobwebs .Do not recommend at all .

Service was so friendly and efficient from start to finish. Delightful little place just a 5min stroll from East Boldon metro station. Coffee was delicious and all the sweet treats were extremely tempting and well displayed. However the brunch menu was also very appealing. What we ordered was very tasty and so filling we couldn't manage any cake! We tried the filled croissant and quesadilla with patatas bravas side. All very good and lovely and hot fresh from the kitchen. Highly recommend and will become our new brekkie haunt from now on. Glad we booked the table yesterday, Thursday, as was very busy by 1100am when we arrived which made for a great ambient, buzzing atmosphere. Thanks and see you when we return next week 👍🏼

Had a late breakfast /brunch with my disabled wife, loverly atmosphere, food was fantastic, pricing was ok, staff were very helpful and attentive with out pestering people - our new favourite place - will certainly visit again .

A brunch visit, Moroccan lamb eggs served under a smoke filled cloche. Beautiful. The menu is quite extensive, I must come back.

Although the facade looks like a boutique, it's actually a restaurant We decided on coffee & cake, the coffee was weak and overpriced, and their cakes consisted of a selection of slices covered in thick butter cream. Sorry, not for us.

Menu sounds amazing, food is less than mediocre, expensive for what it is. Was NOT impressed 😕

Very odd experience with the owner when paying with a voucher, didn’t use the whole amount on the voucher so assumed (like when you use vouchers EVERYWHERE else) that you can use the remainder on next visit but “we don’t do that here” so was essentially a use it or lose it situation which is MAD when the money has already been paid to yourself. We would have come back and used the remainder and no doubt spent more money but now will not be doing that nor recommending such an odd business. The food was also mediocre, breakfast quite bland and cake dry. Typical instagramable place that doesn’t follow through with executing the dishes. Staff were really good and were also confused by the owners obscure ideas of how a voucher works. If you can write £50 as an amount on a bit of card when someone purchases a voucher then you can most certainly write them a new one with the remaining balance. Thank you to the two lovely waitresses, I believe one of them may have been the manager, not sure, who were just as dumbfounded as we were. Poor business model.

Food excellent. Speed of it arriving glacial. Almost an hour to get main course. Don’t think I will be back.

Lovely to have something like this in Boldon! Definitely popular but didn't have to wait long for food. Cakes are beautiful!

Had a family lunch here this Sunday I had an English breakfast which was huge and delicious. My wife had the steak and eggs - also large and delicious. Others had the brunch burger and theCanadian pancakes. Americano coffee was also very good too. Service and atmosphere was top notch. We are definitely going back.

Food was great service was a little slow but it was busy. Kids meal was a decent size too and came in a cute car plate. My daughter had one of the milkshakes too and that looked fab with sweets on top. Adult main meals where great and also good portions. It was not too expensive too. Would recommend 👌

Pancakes and French toast were both amazing!!! I will certainly be ordering from Wisteria Kitchen again 🙂

Best Full English Breakfast I think I've ever had.

Been a couple of times now. First visit I cannot fault. Portions were good and food was tasty. Second visit however was a total disappointment and way overpriced for the dish. Ordered the lamb kofta flatbread. The portion was tiny for the £15 charged - flatbread which was about 15cm in diameter, 2 tiny kofta, spoonful of houmous and about 5 pomegranate seeds. It's definitely put me off returning.

Just had an amazing breakfast and milkshake also brought some cake to takeaway can't wait to try it later

I tried 2 cakes, both dry, earl great tea was leaf fresh and delicious, I never tried any savoury food but felt the sweet dishes were a little bit chavy, for example putting croissants with brownies is a bit too much, if they stuck to basics and did not go crazy with choc and caramel everywhere it would be a better result, sometimes less is more it felt like they were trying to be too outrageous, but that seems to be the food trend right now where bigger is better...not in my opinion, also if buying a take away cake for £4.30 I expect to get a box, not a paper bag, Overall good but room for refinement and take out the geordie shore style element it could be refined, elegant and tasteful. Just saying...

Booked for a family Easter get together, looked at the menu online before but I was still struggling to decide what to have between breakfast, breakfast burger and Mexican omelette quesadilla. Our group of 9 had a good selection from the menu, fish and chips, smashed potato’s, breakfast. The food is amazing! Also…cakes….now sadly there was no room for cake but the massive selection also created a “selection headache” and I was pleased we chose 3 to takeaway. The caramel slice (milk or white chocolate available) was massive!

a little gem in east boldon! the food here is beautiful, full of flavour, so fresh and high quality. i’ve had the salmon and eggs a few times now and keep going back to it! you can tell a lot of love and knowledge went into designing this menu. the steak is always perfectly cooked, so tender and tasty, the beef brisket melts in your mouth, the prawns were fresh, so delicious, and cooked to perfection. everything we’ve tried here has not let us down, including everything from the cake counter! it’s always stocked full of fresh, locally made treats, such a difficult choice on what to take home with me every time. 😋 pictured: american steak and eggs, salmon smokin’ eggs, the cake counter, beef brisket chilli bunny chow, pil pil prawns, valentine’s day treat box support local ❣️

Our first visit to this beautiful cafe and it definitely won't be our last. The food and cakes were amazing and I loved the little touches with the bear cups and car plates for the little ones. The decor is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere spot on for a weekend brunch. Our daughter's verdict was "awesome" and I agree 100%

Waited over 45 minutes for something to eat then other customers got served after we ordered who had just arrived , americano drink was cold and latte was cold , overall very very poor service . Ended up leaving place before our meals arrived . Distgusting service .would not recommend this place and it wasn’t busy .

We arrived early but were happy to wait for a table, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very nice.

This is a wonderful place! The design is fantastic and the food backs it up as well. Excellent brunch and the coffee was great (I’m very picky!). Friendly staff and good service. We will definitely be coming back. I would advise making a reservation as this little gem is already very very popular!

Overall, it is a great place with nice food in a relaxed environment.

Can I suggest Wisteria Kitchen advise customers of their 1.5 hour time slot rather than asking them to leave because of it.

Ripped off , Just wanted poached egg on a muffin which is what we got, only the egg wasn't warmed through. £7.95. We said didn't we want the extras but still got charged. Not be qoing back.

Our 4th visit to this establishment and I feel obliged to leave a review. Everything about this place oozes quality. The food is excellent and the staff are exceptional. Nothing is a bother and overall a fantastic experience. Thank you once again.

Absolutely delicious! The food was top notch and a constant stream of people were coming to collect takeout cake and coffee. The menu has clearly been thought about and is not your usual brunch menu featuring items like cruffins and croffles and bunny chow. Booking is 100% recommended to guarantee a table

First time here for breakfast, coffee was lovely, ordered the english breakfast, however eggs were overdone, sausage underdone and toast was cold with rock hard butter that wudnt spread on toast. Also the hashbrowns tasted like oil from bein deepfried. Was looking forward to it but was dissappointed.

Had breakfast with two very good friends. Absolutely amazing. Ordered the ham hock with poached eggs served on toasted breakfast muffins and just wow! Could have ate it again! Delicious. Service was fab and we will definitely be returning x

Visited for the first time yesterday and I have to say the food was excellent. I got the Hummous bowl with chicken and my partner got the Lamb Tagine Bunny Chow. Portion sizes were great, we definitely didn't need the chunky chips on the side (though they were lush and definitely worth getting still). We had planned on getting a cake with a cuppa too but ended up taking the cake home instead as we were too full. Cuppas were lovely though and the cake went down a treat later that night. Highly recommend, great value for money and the venue/staff are lovely too.

A lovely restaurant with a really nice feel. Not only is the decoration gorgeous but the food is delicious too. I had the loaded Mexican Chicken, it came out really hot and filled me up. We took away some cakes which were amazing, looking forward to visiting again.

Such a fantastic place! We ate as two adults and two children, and the varied menu options had something for all of us. The service was very friendly and personal, especially given it was busy, and the food was beautiful, like something out of MasterChef when it was presented! The decor and service made the whole experience very welcoming, highly recommended!

How delicious! The lunch and dessert were amazing. The portions were very generous but my plate was cleared! I even took home two of their delicious cakes. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere, with amazing decor. Service was impeccable. Looking forward to my next visit, with my children or with the girls, and I've already recommended to friends and family.

The food was fresh and delicious (I had the steak and eggs, superb) no doubt, lots of love put into that. Maybe we came on a bad day and/or there are challenges in the small kitchen, but service was very slow. Also took an age for our table to be cleared with the place half full. Sort the teething issues out here and we have a little gem of a place for brunch-style food and looking forward to trying again.

Seven of us visited and the food was fantastic and the place is beautiful as well. Great service responding to my messages as well regarding a last minute booking. We will definitely be visiting again!

A gem of an eatery in Boldon offering some exclusive dishes from around the globe, fresh locally sourced produce in a relaxed atmosphere with some great cocktails to accompany the food, will be returning to try some more of the dishes, highly recommend 👍

What a fabulous addition to the village. We had brunch with friends and there was so much to choose from. We all choose a mix of sweet and savoury. My daughters Korean Mac and Cheese was one of the best I have ever tasted. The brunch burger was 👌🏻 and the Bunny Chow was packed full of flavour. Service was great, efficient and such a welcoming team. We left with multiple cakes from the cake counter and a take out coffee. We can’t wait to come back and work our way through the menu.

Love love love Wisteria Kitchen - fantastic addition to the Village lovely posh coffee and cakes available for takeout (Rocky road was one of my favourites sooo Chocolately and delicious!!) and sat in for breakfast and it was fabulous I especially loved the purple tea set with my loose leaf tea! Can’t wait to try the Bistro evening we have booked to have dinner with my girlfriends!

Can't speak highly enough about this place, the food was absolutely outstanding with loads to choose from, every plate I saw go past me looked heavenly and I couldn't wait for mine to turn up! Staff were incredibly polite and professional, they approached and introduced themselves by name etc but in a very casual not in your face sort of way which was a nice touch! Layout is very chilled, upmarket and clean! Can't wait to go back for a date night with my wife soon!!

First time visiting Wisteria Kitchen & definitely won’t be the last! We booked in for breakfast/brunch and had a great experience. The food was class, we ordered steak and eggs, the open breakfast burger and the Oreo brownie pancakes and each dish was delicious. Great portion sizes and great value. The coffees were delicious and we even got one to go on the way out. Staff were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu when we had questions. Can’t wait to come back, will be recommending to everyone. A great addition to East Boldon!
