Top Fellas in South Tyneside

Popped in for some chips and was so happy to see my lush friend Mel behind the counter. Chips were absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely be back.

Chips were very poor quality, bitty, tasteless and lukewarm. £3.05 for rubbish. Top Fellas no more.

We had a loverly nan bab last night, but this was spoiled by the extra bag of chips we bought, I’m not kidding when I say there was a pitiful amount of chips for just over £3 per bag A handful of chips!!!!!! It’s a shame because the food was good, We will never buy from Top fellas Again

Been using the shop for years and I always praise you s on facebook and food pages for having the best fish and chips and pattys and kebab meat also big portion s but I've noticed lately the kebab meat is different its pastey looking cut very skinny slices not like it used be long thick slices also portion size is smaller and using scales to weigh you food you have a good reputation and a lot if loyal customers don't ruin it thanks peter

Ordered last night fish wasn’t very nice chips was over cooked don’t waste your time if you have a family there give you the smallest amount there possibly can

2 large fish and chips very greasy fish was small very dry with burnt batter chips overcooked and greasy supposed to be cooked fresh I don't think so very disappointed

Food was mind blowing, i wish i could say that😵‍💫 totally disappointed

Overall quite nice food, little expensive, but still nice overall. Food was made fairly quick and piping hot, the staff are always super friendly and professional

The chicken kebabs are sensational and the pizzas are wonderful.

Everyone elses food lovely however i got salt and pepper chicken which was said to be divine on menu it was NOT was just breaded chocken very disappointed 😑

12 inch garlic bread special,garlic sauce and chips nearly 17 quid,absolute awful,garlic bread was swimming in grease,I ve had more kebab meat in a bun,went straight in the bin .,will never ever use this place again

Just had a mixed nan bab large apparently was pathetic chewy under cooked chicken was vile the most meat , chips looked and tasted like they had been sat hours cold and Rock hard total waste of money never going to return there again

Just got a fish. Smallest fish av had in me life. All soggy full of grease worst av ever had. Never again

Lovely chippy ! Real chips , fish is lush ! Actually haven't got a complaint about any of the food, lovely service and mel who serves is lush ! Friendly and always polite , well worth a try!

Spent over £17.00 on 2 x 10 inch pizzas and a bag of chips 1st may 2023...1/3 of both pizzas were missing topping and cheese and the chips were dry scrappy n cold...You just lost another customer. I'll also tell family and friends to steer clear..higher prices and less food is just not acceptable...Never again...🤬🤬

Lovely fish and chips, cooked to order so always fresh. Lovely crispy batter and white flaky fish. Might have a couple of minutes to wait but who cares when they are as nice as this.

Tandoori chicken wrap from top fellas is highly recommend

Usually great, ordered fish bites & Childs fish bites, both chip and fish bites were over cooked normally a lovely light golden brown that melts in the mouth, tonight both batter & chips were tough to eat

Normally love top fellas but tonight we ordered veg pizza that supposed to come with peppers onion sweetcorn mushrooms and olives mine was missing mushrooms and olives and very sparse with the rest even tho the pizza it’s self tasted nice I feel that after paying an extra 1 pound 20 since the last time I ordered it on a 10 inch that obviously I was expecting to pay more but not less topping all though the pizza Kiev was full of chicken and lovely don’t no what happened but if we decide to order again I will mention this so hopefully rectified I don’t like to complain but missing items that are payed for should be on

Excellent customer service, fantastic food and when I receive the food the food is always piping hot the way I like it. Good prices and always polite. I always go with topfellas when I’m ordering food

Be decent if they addressed their website not working or put a menu on just eat/deliveroo/uber eats

Just tried the Southern Fried Chicken from here for the first time. DAMN!!! Crispy coating, moist chicken, and MASSIVE!!

Staff are friendly and fantastic. The quality of the service is superb as well as the food while still being reasonably priced.

Food arrived after 1 hour when the driver brought it to the door he handed me a paper bag soaked like it had been raining hands the bag to me as its tearing apart in me hands and said "sorry that's just the grease" food had no flavour and the chicken burger looked abseloutly horrendous! Chicken was pink inn the burger will not be back! Priced cheap on line then charge you more at the door

Ordered food today. It arrived an hour later, the food was cold, the best I can describe it as luke warm. The kebab meat was rubbery to the point I couldn’t even eat it. I contacted them, they accused me of lying and changing the “Story” all the time. Their was also hairs in my garlic sauce, I’ll attach a photograph of the hair.

Had the crown wrap was the best wrap ever absolutely lush never tasted anything like it 😋

If you want cold kebab and missing ingredients from meal then Top Fellas is the place for you. Terrible service. Should have stuck to Rostamis.

Food is of great quality but the prices on the menu are WRONG , worked my order out at £22.75 before I ordered but when I ordered it came too £29.20 😬😬 Someone needs to update the prices on the menu that you download as it's making you's look cheaper than other places

The food is top quality and reasonable from the pizzas to the burgers and the traditional chip shop food. To paraphrade dad's army their chips are crisp und light brow none of those horrible soggy ones. best chips for miles

Been three times, first time I really enjoyed it. Had the Kebab with the roast. Next two times we had wraps as they were out of roast (at 18:30). First time they were barely warm, but as I enjoyed the first time we tried again. 2nd time, again weren't hot. Very disappointed. This has put us off going again. Looked spotless inside but after throwing away two meals I won't be risking it again.

Delicious food at a very reasonable price! Would highly recommend the chicken tikka naan bab!

Large cod no different to std cod in any other chippy just a lot pricier £ 7:00 for fish & chips rather steep for what was to be large cod & came as what I would say was normall size at any other chippy

Talking to my hairdresser this week about how disappointing take away pizzas are in South Shields, even from big brand names. He said he wasn't keen on Pizza but the best one he has had was from Top Fellas, and he was not wrong!! He also said that as he always collects his pizzas, how clean the kitchen was and all staff adhering to Covid19 guidelines, so he was not worried about any safety issues. The type of pizza you would get in a sit down restaurant - Don't get a large unless you still want to be eating it next week!!! Never going anywhere else for pizza again. 1st class, cant wait to try the rest of the menu. Only groan - not an option for seafood pizza, but that's it!

We had heard great things about Top Fellas so decided to pop in tonight for the first time! One of the cleanest chippies I've seen yet I was very impressed! We waited around 15mins for our food which is totally acceptable as it was all made fresh to order! WOW is the food good! Everything was so delicious the chips were the best I've had and the burger was absolutely massive! All of the family agreed it's the best chippie in the area and we will be back at the weekend for more!

Was me and my partners first time at Topfellas and honestly it didn't disappoint. The burgers were amazing in every way. The staff were friendly and approachable. Best burger I've had in a long time. Restaurant quality. Will definitely be returning

Extremely Clean Shop, from counters to floors, shop window, Menue Boards show good overall Variety, food cooked to Order, served Piping Hot, good tasting Peoducts, Reasonable Price, take Away or deliverd only. Accept Car Payments as well as Cash. Good taste, and None Greasy products, staff well organised, and plenty staff to deal with customers, as well as cooking, and taking phone orders, with out compromise on time or Quality

Sorry but got a crown wrap tonight and chicken and dinner meat barley cooked. Not for me ! Good price lots of food but bland

Waited 30 minutes for 2 fish and 1 put of chips, when I got them the batter on the fish was far to overcooked and hard, won't go back.

Great value, has taken card payments for a while and the food is always tasty

The food is exceptional, especially the burgers. You may pay a little more than other places but you definitely get what you pay for. The staff are fantastic also. Five star plus.
