Lovely period building along the Thames river, we hit the pub after visiting the Kew Gardens. Nice choice of pub food, fish and chips were good, just remember we are talking pub, food not Michelin starred restaurant. Staff very nice and attentive. Dog friendly, no smell of dogs, the pub has its own peculiar smell, I wouldn't call it bad though. Apparently the high tide gets up to the windows sometimes, my mother is local and showed me videos. Look it up, it's crazy!

Have been in a few times for their lunch special, which is really good value. Love the venue itself as its quite large and has a great outdoor seating area. Definitely on the pricier side for a pub.

The steak and chips were lovely; they were cooked exactly to my preference, and the chips were crispy and golden. The burger was equally as nice. Although the patty wasn't grilled, the beef burger itself was juicy and flavorful. The toppings were fresh, and the bun was just the right amount of soft and sturdy. One aspect that added to our experience was the attentive service. The staff were friendly and quick to assist, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. While ordering at the bar can be a minor inconvenience, it provided the opportunity to review the full menu and make our choices at our own pace.
