Want to walk into a pub with real local feel and love then this is the place busy and exciting but still manage to serve drinks quickly with no discrimination, a local legend bar the prices

Ahead of a family member in the lead of The Dressing Gown play in the pub theatre, we gathered for a spot of lunch beforehand. Bar service was excellent throughout, friendly and attentive. The food was really top notch, not something you expect in a traditional pub. They served the World’s best onion rings!

I usually come here once a year due to my children's yearly performance in the theatre next door. The tankard never disappoints me it just gets better each year. The food is really good, atmosphere is brilliant and thier service is professional and efficient there is no complaints from me when it comes to the Tabbard.

I have never felt an atmosphere like I felt here. The bar staff took great care of us, recommended beers all night. We watched the football with a fantastic view in the garden even though we only booked our table at the last minute. Will definitely return!

Even though business was slow, the food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious in generous portions. So much better than other pubs that charge way more! With a great selection of beers/ales to while away the time.

My husband and I were longing for the traditional English Sunday roast atmosphere and meal and the Tabard delivered. See photograph for the lovely chicken I was served. Larissa was the best server I have had since we arrived in England. Isaac was an amazing host, too. This world is in a sad place but their joy and commitment to good service was refreshing.

Really poor burger for me. The bun looked like something out of an 8 pack you would buy at Tesco. Wife’s fish was way overcooked. Flimsy excuses when we informed the person asking how our meal was going. Plenty of amazing food in just about every other pub in Chiswick.

I’ve been coming to The Tabard for a number of years now and I’m continuously impressed by the genuine and friendly atmosphere that the team here deliver. Be it for a drink after work or a weekend meal - it’s always been a pleasure. Highly recommend anyone to visit, be it locals or passing through visitors - you won’t regret it. A notable mention to James, always serving my Guinness with a smile!

Barry at the bar was the gold standard of what a bartender should be.

Popped in for a quick drink with a friend, and the service was good, and the pub was very snug. Need to go back to try the food.

Wonderful combination of a proper old fashioned pub, but also with a great wine and beer selection. Nice outside section and the theatre up the stairs is a really fun addition. You can bring your drinks up with you.

This is a very decent pub, vibrant, atmospheric, warm and welcoming, and with its own theatre. The assistant manager, Victoria, was amazingly helpful, proactive and supportive recently dealing with a stolen phone issue, a London malaise. I have had a great many enjoyable evenings in the Tabard over many years with its broad variety of clientele, good food and extensive beer list. Long may it last.

I have lived in Chiswick for just over 8 Years now, and at the beginning I used to try different pubs and always end up in the Tabard, now I just visit the Tabard, the staff are exceptionally friendly, even to a point where Jack would order ales that I would like when home from abroad, having said that they do have a great and ever changing selection, and regularly appear in the good beer guide! I can’t fault the pub! Always enjoy my evening’s there. Highly recommend it!!!

Very very disappointed with this pub.went with a friend for her birthday and we were dancing and singing along with the act that was performing.We were refused a second drink but people who worked there were served.Very disappointed that management could discriminate in this way .Don’t visit this pub! I have lived in Chiswick for over 30 years and never had such treatment!.Outrageous.

Friendly and cosy atmosphere in an historic building constructed in 1880 by architect Norman Shaw and graced with period features including a spectacular room of arts and crafts tiles by William de Morgan and Walter Crane. A unique place not to be missed by anyone passing through Bedford Park. X

The Tabard is a friendly pub right next to Turnham Green Station. There are a couple of cosy rooms indoors and an outdoor area. Great place for a pint.

I’ve lived in Chiswick for 8 years now but only been in here once years ago but only pass here going to work really but i was off today and was this way so thought we pop in,very glad we did,lovely cosy old pub like the ones in Coventry where I’m from,the food was delicious,chicken wings and steak and ale pie was lovely and there was 2 lovely girls behind the bar,and they charged my phone for me and there was a lovely young waitress,it’s just a lovely old English pub with good people and atmosphere which is hard to find these days,we will visit again,and I left a tip to the staff.

An exceptional pub attuned to the conventions of the hostelry industry with fare that doesn’t stray to far from expectations. A noteworthy beer and craft ale selection. But it’s the understated and functional interior here retaining much of the original late 19th.Century “Arts & Crafts” fittings and finishes that underpins much of the tone and metre here. Grade II Listed attributed to Norman Shaw (circa 1880) Distinctive and Distinguished.

This pub has grown on my husband and I and eventually became our much-appreciated local as we happened to have moved nearby. It is certainly a special place - very historic, with period features and original (?) tiling. Pub consists of multiple areas - two-sided bar, a small lowered cosy seating area, a dining more quiet area and the garden. There is a quaint little theater upstairs, and an arts school next door, and paddle tennis courts across the road, so the clientele is definitely very mixed, but coexists peacefully. Staff is hard-working and always welcoming, despite serving a large volume of customers. Some remember your drinks order which is always a thoughtful touch. I confess - I never ate there, the food looks like classic pub grub, but then again Tabard never claimed to be a gastropub. It features various entertainment activities (quiz, live music etc) and somebody runs their very wholesome instagram page.

This is a great pub in a beautiful Arts and Crafts building. The staff here are great and though the menu is a pretty standard menu for a pub it's served with a smile, and in a great character pub. I visit here often and I well recommend it. Your next visit to Chiswick/Turnham Green should include the Tabard.

A cozy little pub with a great ambiance. The staff were also so accommodating towards my assistance dog, which I really appreciated. It would be great if they could offer non-dairy milk options in the future, but other than that the experience was perfect! Will definitely be returning. The chips, glühwein, and beer were excellent.

Amazing! Such a beautifully quaint pub, with a great atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. Now one of my favourite spots to go for a drink/meal with friends, and the bonus is having a theatre right upstairs. They host regular pub quizzes, sports events, live musicians, and are consistently promoting local talent. I highly recommend going here, even if you’re just popping in for a pint after watching a show at the theatre.

Literally shocking behaviour! Friday late afternoon My phone ran out of battery and unfortunately I did not have any cards or cash. I know quite unfortunate. As I was not able to hail a cab I went I the pub to ask for assistance. I said that Im stranded and I have no way of getting home, if they could charge my phone or call me a cab that would be really helpful. She looked back at two other colleagues and everyone said NO! I was so shocked that they refused to help, I asked again if they at least charge few percent of the battery. She said : we have TWO CHARGERS, and they are in use! What a c*** I don’t mind buying something, when my phone is charged but I’m laterally asking to HELP ME ! To the 3 people in the bar: next time when something unfortunate will happen to you, look back to this moment and you will know that Karma is a thing. To the bar owner: you have staff that will not assist your customers in need and customer service is non existent. Obviously I will never go to that place again. EDIT: I was the only one there, hence I’m not even going to read the remaining reply.

We’ve only been coming to this pub for just over a year but it’s honestly one of the friendliest and most welcoming pub I’ve known. We were made to feel like locals from the first visit and the staff are always so personable and friendly. I do love this pub ☺️ They are also very dog friendly and will always have lend a phone charger if they can. Lovely staff and lovely pub!

Second time visiting. Unfortunately disappointing again. Half the menu was unavailable & we waited almost an hour for food. The beefburger was cold when it arrived. We weren’t offered any sauces or cutlery so had to get them ourselves.

Nice pub with good music and nice garden, bartender spilled my pint while pouring my friends one and said ‘ugh’ when I asked him to top it back up - other than that a nice place.

We went to see Jenny Eclaire. She was brilliant. Very cute venue. Even the shortest member of our party felt they could see the stage really well.

Always a lovely pub - surprisingly spacious with nooks and crannies, and some outside seating. A really good range of beers, and the menu is good (really enjoyed the pie!). My sole tip would be to anticipate the interval rush from the theatre upstairs and put everyone behind the bar - always seems to catch the staff unaware! 😃
