The friendliest and liveliest pub in the area! And such a diverse crowd. Ash, Oliver, every member of the team I have met, have just been a delight. They were also extremely accommodating when I was temporarily in a wheelchair, highly recommended :)

The Fish and chips served here are by far the best you will get for miles around. The choice of beers is delightful and ample. The atmosphere in the evenings is rocking especially over the weekend. In my opinion an all round great boozer for either a cheeky pint in the afternoon or a good night out with your partner and friends or wonderful pub dining with family.

No food was ordered and only bar service because it was a jazz music evening which is held at the rear of the premises. Excellent band and nice vibe.

Great place to drink and watch the football. It has a garden and a good night time band. Also a really good mixed crowd, not a sausage fiesta, if you know that I mean 😂

My favourite pub in Chiswick and I go in with my Dad most weeks. Lovely old building and nice staff/beer. Please bring back the pie and scotch egg starter. I’m sure you will soon.

I ordered the roast beef which arrived hot but some of the veg was still at fridge temperature. I complained to the spectacled bar person and asked if I could have some hot vegetables and she almost rolled her eyes at me and then laconically walked over to a colleague and passed on my complaint with very little gutso. Ten minutes later when I had almost finished my meal another more attentive member of staff came and asked how everything was and I repeated my complaint as my replacement veg had still not appeared. Five minutes later I received some slightly warmer cauliflower cheese which had very little flavour and was more of a cauliflower cream than a cauliflower cheese. We won’t be rushing back due to the poor service and food quality. The portions are also quite meagre and over priced compared to the neighbouring pubs. This is a nice pub but is let down by one particular barmaid with a bad attitude.

One of the best pubs in West London. The manager has got comedy clubs going , very inclusive place encouraging everyone to visit , good atmosphere , I like to visit when in Chiswick, the manager used to run a Youngs pub near me , that place was good too so it’s not surprising that’s he’s made this into a great venue

Visited the George IV with my partner. Ordered a double Jack Daniels with a dash of mixer and my partner had a double pink Gin with a small bottle of Tonic water, also had a packet of crisp. The bill was over £27. I asked the barmen if this is correct and he said it was. He gave me the receipt and I couldn’t believe the prices for the drinks, especially the dash of Coke (they call 100ml of Coke a large dash) costing £2.20 and a small tonic for £3.10. I don’t understand how they can justify the high prices. Would love to visit again as the pub had a lively atmosphere but don’t think I’d go back in a hurry with the current prices!

had a great night on Thursday with the jazz night.. great music well organised polite and friendly staff and organiser and , good food .. the event room well set out with period posters , good furnishings, clean and tidy , fully recommend if you want a casual night of food and music .. fish chips very good , apparently the merlot wine was great only negative they had run of Guinness 0%..

Always loved this Pub. Have been a frequent customer for 7 years. Sadly, in our latest visit, we spotted mice 🐁🐁🐁 running between tables and hiding under the staircase. We let the staff know in person and also sent a 'Contact us' form which has not been replied to 3 weeks later. Edit: Thanks for replying. Gladly, Management has said they're taking care of this issue

Popped here for food at lunch time. Quiet, love the interior, busy but not too busy. There's a lot to look atout. Food and service were brilliant. Staff are brilliant. Could become a regular thing. This is some parking right outside. Not sure on costs as we walked there.

This used to be one of my favourite pubs in Chiswick. Recently it has been handed over to a new management, and I am sorry to say that the quality has been tanking. We have booked a table for ten people at dinner, and showed half an hour in advance to drink something. After moving to the dinner seating, we waited almost half an hour before the waiter showed up to take the order. The courses arrived almost one hour after, after repeatedly chasing the waiters for an update on our food. Half of the plates were cold, the remainders arrived an additional half an hour after the firsts. While we were waiting and subsequently eating, the glasses from other tables kept on stockpiling on the bar table, and no one collected them. The clients at the tables nearby also complained repeatedly with the staff. We weren’t even offered a discount. Extremely displeasing.

Went to a salsa night, great band, brilliant atmosphere, lots of fun. Beer here is pretty good too! Open Mike night had some high quality acts on. Will definitely return.

The service was great: no complaints there. The pub is beautiful too. I ordered roast pork because I wanted the cracking-experience. Two main issues with the meal; firstly is arrived barely warm and secondly the crackling was inedible. For £20 this really isn’t acceptable. I doubt I’ll be back here for food.

Had a good afternoon of drinks, but was disappointed that the kitchen shut at 8.15pm on a Sunday (?!). I asked whether a cheeseboard could be served but was told by the manager that they didn't have permission to cut slices of cheese and put crackers on a plate. Poor show given the competition in the Chiswick area.

Just moved back to the area so I thought I'd pop in. The team behind the bar and the service was incredible. Can't quite remember everyone's name in my fragile, hungover state but big love to Emma and the rest of the team. Would definitely recommend.

Great night as usual. Love the switched on staff, the events, the atmosphere, the mixed crowd all ages, sizes and shapes.

This pub used to be the heart and soul of Chiswick. Now….food is average. Service is awful. Frequently made to wait more than 20 minutes just to order drinks. Staff really not interested in serving guests. Some staff frequently deliver short measures and refuse to top up. I used to enjoy going here…. But there are better options in Chiswick

Used to be such a good place to go and eat now not the venue of choice in Chiswick so many better places to eat and drink. Food quality has continued to go down hill from last chef left in 2023. Just nowhere near as good and so much more expensive. Drinks quality similar recently with the draught selection nowhere as good as it should be. Take today I decided I would give another try as it’s now March may have got better so checked online the menu and decided would have Chilly Nachos. Not the best idea as when I got in had first pint not the best and thought would order food with the next so went to bar and asked for the nacho sharer to be honest this was first mistake as maybe should have looked at the menu on the bar as there has been a change but no one updated online. The price has gone up online it’s £12:50 for chilly machos. On the menu at the bar it’s £13 but this is just plane nachos. No chilly if you want that it’s an extra £3. If I had seen that would have gone somewhere I think would be worth paying for. If you see attached picture the nacho was just enough for one and definitely not for sharing. The only positive from today was nice to see some of the good staff are still there. Nice place to go for a quick one but don’t stay long better places in Chiswick for food and drink.

Great pub fitting any purpose and request. Looking for great night out? Or just relaxing couple of hours after work? Want to listen some live music or watch a football game? You name it! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and decor, will definitely be back, especially during the summer as their beer garden is definitely a place to be. Highly recommended

Nice pub atmosphere with very kind staff! I'd just improve the veggie burger, didn't taste much, but the other dishes were much better presented.

Love this Pub and always visit when I am in Chiswick. Staff are friendly and polite. Good selection of beers and non alcoholic beers. Which is good for me as I am offten driving home after a busy day.

Literal cretins, avoid at all cost

One of the worst places I have ever been to in London for disabled people. I was in the disabled toilets and a member of staff came in while I was on the toilet, even though I had called out 3 times, once I shouted so loudly that the people stopped and looked in at me on the loo! Totally unacceptable

Saw the band (great!) at the Boston room on 18th Jan. Had a bit of a tense moment following a misunderstanding of the seating arrangements but management went to great lengths to explain the situation and to look after us kindly afterwards. Nice venue. Food was a bit average (not worth knocking off a star though) but bar staff and beers were very good and, for those of us that need it, there’s a covered smoking/vaping area.

Went to listen to Thursday night jazz. Only £15 for live music. Bargain. Good gig with a full house. Friendly pub, great bar service and two types of gluten free beer. What’s not to like?

Perfect English pub. Great selection of beers, ales and spirits. Didn’t try the wine. The finger food selection was also very good. I look forward to going again!

Paid £15 for a live music show on the 21/December. A jazz/bluesy band. The musicians were ok, nothing against. The sound of the venue was just owful, should have been free. We end up leaving half way. Ok £15 might not sound like a lot but still can get you in some pretty nice venues in London.

Lovely pub with good beer selection, great lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Badly let down by the food unfortunately, the burger (pictured) was akin to something bought from a van for a few quid, not a whopping £18. Go for the drinks.

Probably wouldn't book for a group. We ordered food in advance, but still had to wait 50 mins for it to arrive and didn't have enough chairs when we got there. Drinks taking about 10-15 minutes on an evening that wasn't too busy. Wasn't any apology or evidence of any level of customer service management (although the staff were polite), which is a bit disappointing when you consider how expensive it is.

Just popped in for a couple of drinks on Sat 9th Dec. Not enough seating inside so went into the heated outdoor area. No mulled gin as apple juice was slow in being topped up.

Great pub with fun events in the function room. However the "nachos" were honestly the worst, most embarrassingly pathetic nachos I've ever had. Didn't even have any cheese on, barely any salsa or sour cream. Basically £13 for a pack of Doritos. I went with an American and she was especially offended 👎 Sort it out and I'll change to 5*

Excellent pub loved the atmosphere, really enjoyed the fish and chips I do recommend it!!! The octopus was delicious and too salty but very good, the chicken wings were fantastic, and the avocado on toast was delicious but the Chile was too spicy. Would come back again , thanks to our waiter Ben S he made us feel very welcomed and never hesitated to check back on us.

Went to comedy club which I thoroughly enjoyed - good mix of comedians for all tastes and the auduence loved them all. Walked through the pub proper which was buzzing full of life - aircon and I think a band was playing. It looked like everyone was having a great time. Have been there before and had a meal which was great. All in all, a good experience

Have been going here since just before lockdown, is great for beer and groups, friendly staff, lovely beer garden and absolutely amazing live music on Friday and Saturday as well as the late night DJs. Definitely work local and friendly vibes as well as everyone loving everyone dancing!

Had a couple of starters & 1 mains; bill over £75. The staff were nice, but Terribly Short Staffed!! Had to wait for Absolutely Everything!! Including to pay the bill!! My wife & I used to Enjoy the food at the George IV. Today's food was Horrible!! The Chef came rushing in to ordering area in a Huff, and Suddenly ALL food Stopped for Everyone!!
