It didnt meet my expectations. They do have varieties of choice but i m not happy with the same flavours they have for most of the veg options... It was not a big buffet, i would say the setup is average, because the space is small. £23 for person on a sunday. They say they are halal but they serve pork, so i will not be going again.

A wonderful restaurant to visit with friends or family. Great atmosphere and a wide variety of food to choose from. Personally my family and I love the service and order mocktails quiet often. Private themed rooms are also available to hire which are great. You can add a karaoke option too. Highly recommended

Food isn't bad and does contain a decent amount of flavour. I went on a Saturday night which is probably peak time and I found service to be severely lacking. Our Waitress was either very new or had difficulty hearing us but she made plenty of mistakes and had to get colleagues to come and reconfirm our order each time. It also took an hour and a request to get old plates cleared off our table. I also wasn't a fan of having sauces in a tin with only a small spoon to serve it as the spoon itself got very dirty very easily and seemed unhygienic. Despite the underwhelming service the food wasn't too bad and there was a decent selection of desserts but I don't think I'd say it was worth the (£17.99).

Visited early Saturday evening very busy most diners que for food (od rude one constantly pushing in ) but passed quickly vast choice at buffet and chefs cook tk order naina who served us very attentive and very good at her jo b plate cleared away quickly all in all value for money 2 adults 2 kids be aware kids price goes on hight of child not age so my 12 year old is six foot so paid adults price

Ming Moon is absolutely amazing! The food is always fresh and delicious, with a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are friendly and attentive. One of the best buffet experiences highly recommend!

Our first time here was on a Tuesday afternoon where usually you might expect a buffet to be a little bit sparse but Ming Moon had so much! We had a really lovely lunch here and we’ll definitely be back again. We were also served by the very kind Mehwish who looked after us very well. She’s a lovely member of staff. Thanks again!

Naina was wonderful she was very talkative and hospitable she is the reason our dine in experience was amazing they had a party going on near our table and the guests that were in there we loud and swearing alot and brought the atmosphere down but naina spoke with us after they left which brought our experience right back up again. Food was amazing as always love the chocolate fountain.

Food was amazing and allergies were stated clearly. The employees were extremely nice and hardworking, a family had a party and they made such a gross and huge party and afterwards the employees worked together to clean it to its cleanest possible. Especially Naina, she was cleaning for so long and made sure the room was clean, even during the process she talked with us and gave us a good service. I felt really bad for Naina and the other employees with how messy those people left that room so seeing how clean the room was afterwards definitely showed how good Naina and the others did their job. The 3 star is purely bc we were near the birthday party and the children running around, being loud and whatnot but this isn't necessarily something that couldnt have been prevented but still is something that made our night be less enjoyable.

i was here for my birthday the other day and my waitress naina, absolutely queen, made our stay so memorable. she ensured there wasn’t any plates left on our table, constantly asked us if everything was okay which was lovely of her, her customer service is 10/10, she knows how to have a laugh. the food was amazing but naina’s service made my day 10x better. many thanks to naina.

Really nice place, friendly staff and great choice of food

Host and floor staff very friendly with great attentiveness. Surprised to see live cooking stations as not much seems to have been said about that. Surprising array of desserts as well featuring whole cakes, a chocolate fountain and soft serve ice cream. The core buffet was replenished often - food was hot to warm but never cold. Best dish was the roast duck in the specials section which I noticed was often missed. The cumin lamb from there was great too. Some food a little over salted. We went during pre theatre time - busy but not manic, nice overall atmosphere and room. Next time we are in Birmingham we would definitely consider coming to Mingmoon again!

Food is decent, nice to eat and variety is there, however the price increase makes it difficult to justify when it costs over 50 for two without drinks now, so becomes a rare treat - it's often hard to eat more than a couple of plates each, although you do have free reign of course to pick bits of things here and there, as per the case with buffets which is the reason you go there!

Food was lovely nice and hot . But some of the staff are rude . And because I have ocd what I don’t like is after people finished there food they sucked there fingers then went for more food eew . Like use sanitizer your contaminating the utensils.

I came here after being told by the hotel staff it would be a good choice so I decided to take in the lunch buffet. The food tasted a bit average and was often cold when I went to top up. I am sure though that this was due to it being the end of the lunch buffet period so it was just down to basics. The venue itself felt a bit run down and dated. It was full of people so in turn, was a noisy place to be if you want a bit of quiet.

The buffet experience at your restaurant was sumptuous and explosive, having to try different kinds of dishes and finding the tastes so perfect and delicious was lit for my partner and I . Would definitely recommend to others and be back again . However, the strawberry cocktail was a less for me considering the alcohol concentration being too high and that kind of killed the fruity flavor for me .

We celebrated my father’s birthday last Sunday, and it was truly an unforgettable day for us. We ordered a birthday cake through your staff, and they went above and beyond by bringing the cake along with the team to present it in a special way. My father was overjoyed at that moment, and it meant a lot to us. A heartfelt thank you to Fung and the entire team for making the occasion so memorable.

2025 and entering this regular buffet that I normally eat at with my family. On the 22nd February afternoon time , me at 9 months pregnant was told to wait for 10 minutes but when I went to take a seat to wait. I had a nasty family that was very much racist shouting at me and my mother saying don't sit by us. As I'm pregnant I sat on the edge but what I could see was that they family that was not English started to stand and shout in my mothers face. Very confused , very bizarre on this type of behaviour just for a seat in the waiting area. The ming moon staff stared and stood there didn't do nothing but In fact went over to the family that was not English and asked them if they was " okay' absolutely terrible and will never be going back again.

We visited Ming Moon on the 19th Feb for my son's birthday and had an amazing experience. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Olu who was extremely professional and made sure we were seated comfortably before sending someone over to take our drinks request. The entire staff were considerate and made sure that our table was constantly cleared aof any empty plates. The hot food and dessert selection was so vast that you're really spoilt for choice, id recommend taking small portions so that you're able to taste a the different choices available to you. The hot food selection was full of flavour, there is chef that will cook you a fresh stir fry with your selection of ingredients. If it is a birthday make sure to let them know as they will make it special by bringing out the cake for you with the candles lit, music playing and a banner with a happy birthday sign. I will be visiting again, thank you for accommodating our family.

Food was not good, very few dishes were good. Most of the dishes were not fresh and were cold. Food was looking and tasting very cheap.

Ming moons had a wide selection of food but wasn't as tasty as other places I had been, especially for the price. The chicken batter on the sweet and sour chicken was mushy and not very nice. The live fry up was really nice though. For some reason, when taking our dirty plates, they kept leaving our dirty forks on the table to reuse. I ended up using a spoon as we had to ask for new forks. Only knives and spoons were out. The atmosphere wad great with good vibes and good music.

Some staff can be abrupt when you are asking for a table, I understand it is a busy place but that is no excuse for being rude to customers. The food isn't the best, and has been the same choices for quite a while now. I've been here a few times now but definitely won't be returning.

Awful service , no forks provided to eat asked multiple staff for some they said yes then never seen again. The staff said to get water from a dispenser that was always empty and dirty. They sat us right next to the buffet which is fine but really was awful to sit there. This place has gone massively down hill. The food quality is awful! There food at the back just avoid always cold and just gross. The choices have been limited since last year , my old review was 5/5 but this time I cannot let that be. It was my favourite place to eat but after this experience never coming back. Bought my issues up to lady when paying and was ignored and told to “just pay”. Really unhappy.

Food was ok not alot of the plain variety with the curry's also we was in the karaoke rooms right on the bottom floor and we had elderly people with us and was told that we have to get our food from 2 floors up but they where good tbf they did move them to the first floor as it was to much for them to keep goin up and down the stairs

This has gradually gotten worse over the years in my opinion. The food selection just isn't there. This used to be a place we would go as a family quite often and now I cannot justify the evening buffet price for the quality of options that are available. At least not with other places offering better alternatives. If you are happy with chicken wings, ribs, some beef and a couple curries then it should be fine. The rest is different versions of potatoes, rice and noodles. The options of sushi, not great. But the ice cream is still the best.

Excellent service from Anas and beautiful scenery

Went there for a friends birthday on the 1/2/25 and wasn’t overly impressed, our party of twelve was seated downstairs where the selection of food was extremely limited as compared to the main dining area upstairs, having to continually head upstairs if I wanted to choose from more of a choice of food was inconvenient, also considering the restaurant was busy at the time I found that the downstairs bar staff were very unprepared to serve which meant we waited longer to be served for drinks, considering the food wasn’t the best along with extremely overpriced drinks I was fairly disappointed hence the three stars there are better Chinese buffets where the food is of better quality and more reasonably priced.

Disappointed. It was my first and last visit. £22.99 for Sunday lunchtime and the food didn’t taste that great, the utensil handles were sticky. Teppanyaki was too salty. Deserts were spars and the restrooms were disgusting!

Love this place, was very busy but expected that being Chinese new year, glad we booked, we were put into a side room but was perfect because we had our autistic son with us, great selection of food & very tasty & atmosphere great, can't fault it, been one of my families favourites restraunt for many years & so enjoyed the dragon dance.

It’s a lovely restaurant with a lot going on. The atmosphere is fun and I love the decor. We came during Chinese new year so the place was packed. We enjoyed the dragon dance. The food was hot and being filled up quickly. Lots of options. Marigolds was looking after our area and she was friendly helpful and polite. Will come back again

We had a fantastic dining experience at Ming Moon Birmingham! The food was absolutely delicious, with a huge variety of options to choose from. From starters to mains and desserts, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The selection of alcoholic drinks was also impressive—some of the best we've had in a while! The waiters were very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, it is a wonderful place for great food, drinks, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised, I thought it would be good but rushed, however it was amazing! Food was fresh, hot, constantly topped up, constantly cleaned. Empty plates were cleared super fast and on top of that, the waiting staff was friendly, polite and not stressed at all! Really liked the atmosphere despite it being mega busy.

Girl called Naina served me and her service was overall amazing! Very polite and outgoing.
