The food was great. I had a great lunch with my mother. Gbemi was also a lovely server. Very helpful and friendly. 10/10 all round.

This is place is very nice be. I am satisfied with how Gbemi attended to me and my family. She is so nice, smiling and accommodating.

(based on evening menu) A lovely selection of Asian dishes! Few western options like pizza and chips too. An extensive dessert selection, including a chocolate fountain and ice cream machine. Food was often replenished with clean buffet and live cooking stations but temperature of dishes was warm, not hot on a lot of dishes. Great place to visit. 😄

When you're in Birmingham this is one place you must visit !!! ... I have been coming to the restaurant for many years ... I don't live in Birmingham but when l get off the train or coach this is where l go first ... An amazing Chinese buffet in central Birmingham ... Always excellent service from Mehwish 🤗

We always really enjoy this buffet, with staff constantly topping up and refreshing the various dishes. The mr whippy ice cream machine for pudding is great. The place is huge, so when not busy it can feel a bit dead, but the food makes up for it. There's karaoke downstairs, and a takeaway box is 10.50 that you can fill yourself.

The service was awesome and the food today was absolutely tasty. Anas was very helpful. My baby kept making a mess and she was efficient in making sure our table was always clean.

Had lunch there on a Sunday, the service was really good and staff were nice and available. The food was great and fresh. So many options for dessert. Will be visiting soon.

Went here for karaoke for someone else. I was starving when we got there and enquired about food. The options were, a crap platter for a tenner each or, every single person has to get a buffet. It took us about 3 diffrent serves to figure this out. I presume the buffet rule is to stop you sharing your plate with other people( never my intention) , because heaven forbid they not get there pennies worth. In the end I got the buffet and sat upstairs, wich resulted in me missing some karaoke time. This rule made more sense to me after because if I had shared there bland rice and chow mein amongst the group there would be a lot more negative reviews. With their 1 star hygiene rating they at least need to come through with customer service and they didn’t. When we went upstairs they were slow to find us a table until we mentioned we were missing karaoke. They also refused to take the price of my buffet off the amount we had to spend for the karaoke room. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely peak food everything was fantastic! I couldn't get enough of the sweet and sour chicken. "Banging" as the youngsters call it not only was the food fantastic but so was our server Yu-Peng. In summary absolutely peak food with peak service. Very happy will come again.

We had a great experience today and as always when I go to Ming moon. Absolutely outstanding food and outstanding service. We was well looked after by Olu L fung the whole time I was there. Brilliant atmosphere always thank you for your outstanding service.

Fantastic place for food, great buffet selection, came for lunch, had a fantastic time. I had eaten more than I have in a long time, lovely hot food and some amazing desserts, will definitely come again, if I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday treat at my recent visit to Ming Moon Restaurant on 10/10 in Birmingham China Town located opposite Hippodrome. Fantastic good nutritional foods lovingly prepared & served! I had a freshly cooked yummy egg noodles, mixed meats & vegetables stir fried with lots of garlic! Yum yum. I enjoyed my Pina Calada Cocktail! Staff were attentive & friendly. They treated me to an unexpected slice of Chocolate Birthday Cake with a pink candle. Amazingly they all sang Happy Birthday to me! Lily is the best of all staff as her responsibility was to make sure the foods at the buffet tables were all nicely topped up with refills! An ideal place for all celebrations! I will be back soon for my another treat!😇🌷🧚🏻‍♂️

This place used to be lively but had really gone downhill in recent years, staff are rude and food is tasteless and not topped up frequently meaning you’re quite often left with cold scraps

Best for all you can eat Chinese restaurant. Quite crowded, especially if you plan to go during weekends. Make sure you reserve a table in advance, else you might not be able to hit your goal. Decent food, and plenty to choose from, for all types.

First time in the Ming Moon, was unreal from start to finish. So much choice. Took my 2 boys in, they doubled in size.

If Chinese buffet and Karioke are your thing, this is the place for you.

I visited earlier this week for a TooGoodToGo surprise box, and it exceeded all my expectations! The variety was fantastic, with a little bit of everything, and everything was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food impressed me so much that I decided to bring my family back for a nice dinner, and it did not disappoint. From the warm and attentive service to the inviting atmosphere, our experience was truly amazing. A special shout-out to Kenny, Lee Lee, and Angelo, who were so much fun and made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you to the entire team. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Not impressed on this visit. Food tasteless and took 20 mins to get a drink! Way too expensive!

Had a really good time, Ming Moons made a special day out, special. Komal was very considerate and attentive when serving us. She deserves recognition and appreciation for her efforts.

Had a good time here. Food was good, I’ve had better but one thing I must say was great was the variety and the atmosphere. It’s better than the average buffet.

I won't be coming back changed us themed karaoke room 3 times. Man I first spoke to on phone assured me we where all one 1 level but wasn't. Got there to be told room we booked was now delayed by an hour as they extended extra hour option so why allow booking at time where hour extentionis possible as it delays next guests who'vebooked same room & had to move again cause it was a birthday meal for my partner & was decorating room to surprise her! Then had to move again as wasn't on same level for disabled guests & service was not good or very understanding it partly wrecked my partners birthday night with 13 guests & didn't even get an apology. We won't ever be coming back or won't ever recommend to others absolute awful service & guest organisation & let down.

Olu is really accommodating. She’s making sure that everything is okay and she is smiling to everyone. The service is really good and staffs are making sure that there’s no empty foods in the tray.

Our visit was absolutely wonderful, the perfect choice for our celebration. The food was fantastic, the service, outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'm not sure if I'll spell this correctly, but our server Lei-Lei went above and beyond as did Olu. An absolute credit to this beautiful establishment. I would highly recommend it and we will be returning very soo. Thank you guys.

One of my favourite places to eat in Birmingham. Love the authentic and welcoming atmosphere! The food is lovely, and each time I've been there I have had a good customer experience. This is a great place to eat Chinese food with family and friends. They also have some great rooms that can be booked for business dinners.

I have been coming here for years and I’ve never had a complaint. Fresh food is always being brought out and the staff are very welcoming and polite.

Food is decent for the price, lots of variety. Service was very quick despite the full house on a Saturday night, Food keeps getting replenished too. Loved the seafood and teppanyaki.

We visited the restaurant this month for a birthday celebration and were extremely disappointed with the experience. It took nearly 10 minutes just to place our drink order, as the server stood by but didn't approach us. When we tried to get her attention, she outright ignored us, forcing us to walk up to her and request she take our drink order. Later, when we wanted to order another round, the server misunderstood and about to get the cake instead. We had to chase him down to explain that we only wanted ro place an order for drinks, but he rudely yelled, "Give me a minute, I'll come when I'm free," even though we were just trying to clear up the confusion. On top of that, while we were eating, two servers got into a loud argument in the middle of the restaurant, which was very unprofessional and made it hard to enjoy our meal. We also waited 20 minutes at the ramen station with no one attending to us, and our attempts to get help were ignored. Overall, it felt like a waste of money, and I definitely won't be returning.

Going back again. And again, and again… If you are in Birmingham, you have to visit this place! Seriously. If you missed it, you just wasted your time there. Let's see why: First thing first, when you step inside, you feel like you are in a Michelin-star restaurant. Lovely staff will escort you to your table, and they are always there. I’m not joking. When you finish your plate, some of them teleport from nowhere to your table to take your empty plate and clean your mess to make space for your next round. Oh yes… The rounds… I did two tours around the main courses (Chicken and pork) and I had no chance to try all of them (I can't do all of the chicken and pork and the beef, fish and vegan trip) because I was already full. If you look at my photo, you can see what was the reason. The wide range of opportunities makes it possible for to you find everything that you want to taste. And there is the dessert section. You can see a small fraction of it on my plate. And fruits. And soups. And sushi. And drinks and cocktails. And did I mention the professional lovely staff? So, long story short, go there and enjoy the atmosphere and the tasty food!

Food was great, plenty of choice. Staff were regularly putting out fresh food. Plates and cutlery was also being replenished regularly. If we need anything the staff were happy to help. Ana's was our waitress, she was very attentive, lovely and polite. A credit to Ming Moon. Will visit again.

The food was good however the chef closed nearly 8 o’clock and I didnt get my ramen done after asking 3 times for it and by the time I finished my food the sweets was already gone and removed Don’t go after 8

Some of the food was okay but there was a few issues with some of the dishes, The chicken and sweet corn soup had a slight burnt taste to it and the tapioca pearls in the bubble tea were solid and stuck together not what a bubble tea should be like. I also had some stomach issues after eating there. I wouldn't be returning. Service and atmosphere was fine

The security officer at the restaurant is really rude. I saw him fighting to a guy just because he wanted to use a restroom before ordering food. Time 6:50 6th of September 2024 . I think they need to be polite with their guests

Thanks for accommodating our booking requirements. We had a grand party for 50+, everyone enjoyed their time at the karaoke rooms. Great food and service as well! Would definitely recommend if you look for somewhere to host a big party! Regarding the karaoke system, the QR code was very handy! P.S. if you like anime, Ming Moon has many new Japanese songs on their system. (Which my group enjoyed singing a lot)

OK but expensive a.d food quality last time was some what lacking g it usual quality

It's ok. Food was ok but not outstanding, cumin lamb mostly bone and gristle. drinks were ok but bubble tea was bad. Had a clump of balls stuck solid. Very busy and had to fight for a space,.. nobody seemed to go in the same direction! Service was good though Didn't have to wait too long.
